After wiggling and trying to turn with some raps on the side I was finally able to get the ket out, inserted the control key, more wiggling... Control key was able to release the core and I was able to fix my mistake with the actuator.

If anyone has any brilliant ideas I would really appreciate it the lock is new and don't want to cut it to recover the core if I don't have to.
