It's the week of the 150th Open from St Andrews & Jack Nicklaus has had his say on Greg Norman.

The cream of the @LadiesEuropeanTour-LET came to Kildare along with a record, 13 Irish players for a battle that needed 2 playoff holes to find the winner.
Annabel Dimmock was the deserved winner after an incredible weekend of golf with course records on Friday & Saturday.
Record crowds turned out again as the ForeFront Sports led tournament continues to grow in strength.
It was great to see so many young boys & girls enjoying the golf & action in the village & hopefully they'll be walking the fairways of the country soon enough.
A thoroughly brilliant week with an epic finish. Nothing beats golf in Ireland.

The first par 3 on the course & one of the easier holes that you'll face, relatively speaking.
It's certainly a hole that will give you a chance to get a bit of confidence.
That being said, it isn't without danger if you aren't on line.
A tricky bunker front left & danger if you're long, this could be a headache on a breezy day.
Former Ryder Cup captain & star, Paul McGinley recently had a hole in one here with the wind coming from left to right towards a pin at the back right of the green.

A hole that looks easier than it is. Out of bounds left & right off the tee with a devilishly raised green that funnels everything short into a deep bunker.
2 fairway bunkers will occupy those off the tee & the 2 bunkers front left & left of the green that are set well below the putting surface will cost plenty of shots if you find them.
A great start to a great round.

@golfranda will bring the best players on the planet to battle it out for the claret jug on one of the best golf courses known to man.
The Dunluce Links in Royal Portrush last hosted The Open in 2019 when Shane Lowry brought the trophy back to Clara in Co Offaly.
Royal Portrush possesses some incredibly memorable holes from start to finish that on a calm day can be fierce enough, but add a likely breeze into the mix & you'll have a stern test of the best in the world.
For me, the 5th is the hole play over & over again. For the pros, it's a drivable par 4, but for us mortals, it's a drive over trouble to make a blind fairway & a 2nd shot that has out of bounds a few yards over the green. Forget your score on that hole & just admire the view of the White Rocks beach, Elephant Rock, Dunluce Castle, The Giant's Causeway & on a clear day, the Isle of Islay on the west coast of Scotland.
Royal Portrush's Dunluce course earns it's spot at the top table of the great golf courses in the World & it's not difficult to see why. Beautiful & tough at the same time with no easy drive or 2nd shot to greens that have slopes that are all pointing to danger.

The tree lined holes are cut into a massive forest park & anyone who visits is going to have a proper test of their game. You may spot a few deer who make the course their second home, especially in the mornings & evenings.
The greens are some of the best you'll find & the level of golf for the price on offer is one of the best value courses you'll find.
You're always guaranteed a warm welcome from the team in the clubhouse & there's fantastic food on offer in the restaurant when you are finished the round.

The weather was perfect & the golf wasn't far off of it.
The Social Media Open is an event run every Spring by Tom Kennedy of Experience Ireland Golf & Travel where teams from around the World come to compete over 4 days on some of the best links courses on the planet.
The jewel in the crown of the Kingdom has to be the Old Course in Ballybunion & the team of Eimear & Kevin topped the pile in Ballyb.
Some spectacular was played by the teams with host Tom under par for most of the front 9.
Without doubt, Ballybunion is a haven for golfers & it isn't a surprise to see aeroplanes full of golfers from North America land in Shannon with the Old Course as their main visit. It's a shot makers course & one that you can't bully. The greens are massive & are as smooth as snooker tables.
It's a special place & one well worth visiting.
Don't forget to give Eimear a follow too. There are adventures in store for later on in the Summer.
