The Ritual of Reading 2023-04-23 | You already know my love for food memoirs, the inspiration I get from the beautiful descriptions of food, from the simplest to the most complex culinary creations.
But today, I'm taking you on a fictional gourmet adventure, with Muriel Barbery and her debut novel Une gourmandise, translated as Gourmet Rhapsody.
She's of course famous for her second novel, The elegance of the hedgehog, but I found her debut to be the most elegant and volatile tribute to the art of eating in France.
