Grimms Hollow OST - A Losing Battle
updated
(a video for a friend)
youtube.com/watch?v=cTtCLCTh92U
I recently got recommended this album on YT that I thought was pretty cool. It was simple, but it left an impression on me. Yesterday I spent the entire day working on this song. And today I reach a point where I don't know what more there is to add or remove.
Some days I'm not sure if it will be the last time that I will have a chance to create something. Music is tough. I've been doing this %$*! for years and despite all my efforts, it feels useless. And yet I still do it anyway, because it feels fun.
I guess I've had better days.
Side note: YT won't let me link the bandcamp of the album to this video. Never had this issue before. Please check out BauKo.'s "12 minutes of OST from a pixel game that will never exist."
Season 1, Episode 108 - Double Jeopardy
Rat Trap's little hand gestures and animations just stick out in my mind. It's so funny.
chemistryguy - They did YTPs for Blues Clues way back. They're great.
Deepercutt - I still quote some of their stuff to this day. I recommend their work on Spiderman 2.
Commander Gwonam - Their YTPMV stuff was pretty banger.
And lastly, check these videos out:

(There is 1 track missing from the original. This video is subject to change once the final track is released.)
Miner Dig Deep is a relaxing game about mining ores and upgrading your equipment. There are no enemies, only mostly boulders and occasional ravines. It's a fun game to play a podcast to, or hang out with your friends with.
This game means a great deal to me. Back in the 2010s when it was on the Xbox Indie Arcade and developed in XNA, I remember hearing my Dad's brother talk about this game and then later I watched my Dad play the game. Then when I got my own Xbox, I played the crap out of this game. It's not quite like it used to be with the new engine, but I'm glad now that the game isn't lost media anymore, like many games on the indie arcade now.
This game was and is important to me because it's what got me into indie games long ago. Ever since then I've played numerous games over the years, many of which I can't really talk to anyone about because no one really knows or even feigns a care. In spite of that, Miner Dig Deep started me on this journey of games that was purely awesome.
Thank you for tuning in.

I made this piece after trying to use both samples and incorporating them into a new song (I've been generally trying to learn to sample things). And then I had an idea that went something like this: "Ah yes, this sounds good, and that sounds good too. They're a similar tempo too so...what if they go together?" And then it had a good hit to it.
From there I went nuts until I ran out of ideas and went "yeah, this is probably good enough".

Gutwhale is a short and sweet roguelite in a similar vein to GoNNER and Downwell. You have one reusable bullet and you're stuck in the gut of a whale with a bunch of other nasty critters. It's a combo heavy game where you're constantly falling and shooting bullets at things below or in front of you. Very fun stuff.
These tracks didn't really come with names. This one was called both "sw(1)" and "1" respectively. I decided to mix the two different versions of the song into one whole song.
Thank you for tuning in.

This tune has some nice percussion and grindy synths to it. It might be my favorite, although I haven't listened to the other tracks enough to really decide.

The official GoNNER soundtrack deviates greatly from the actual in-game soundtracks. Some of the OSTs have been edited and touched up while other tracks haven't been included at all.
This particular track plays when you get a high score in a daily run and it wasn't included for whatever reason.
I remember seeing a steam thread from years ago asking where this track was and no one was really being all that helpful. I wonder if they remember this game and if they'll finally get the chance to listen to this track outside of the game.

This track is not used in-game, but it sounds nice enough to warrant sharing. To me it sounds like some adult swim bumper music; real simple, a little out there, and chill. I love it.

Task Force Kampas is another fun shmup with some banger soundtracks. Can't think of much else to say other than that I'm kinda disappointed no one else uploaded these here before me.
I'm planning on uploading each of these tracks separately accompanied by some gameplay. Problem is, I have some nasty input delay that's making it harder to see the game through to the end.
Thank you for tuning in.
Switch N' Shoot is a one button Shoot Em' Up where you push a single button to both switch and shoot. It's both dead simple and pretty fun.
Attack its weakpoint for massive damage.
