Highwayman // COMPLETE VISION OF SHADOWS MAP Razmerry 2023-07-06 | Centered around the lake, the spirits of Darktail, Needletail, and Onestar reflect on their life - and death - in those dark waters, and how it connects them all. After two years of hard work, Highwayman is finished! I think this is probably my favorite MAP I've ever put together. Every part turned out just beautifully, and all the colors and themes were used so well to tie them together. Despite their many flaws I am a big fan of the Vision of Shadows books, especially the first three with these characters. Surprise! Youre Dead! // Part 19 + 20 [Red vs. Blue/Star Trek] Razmerry 2023-02-20 | That's right baby I'm back with more RVB TREK!! It's exactly what you were all hoping for, I'm sure. This part is not literal events that happen in the AU, but rather exploring the trauma and mental state of Epsilon/Church, one of my absolute favorite characters. Essentially Epsilon is the copy of another character's memories, Alpha, and in this AU it manifests as him being a hologram used to backup all of Alpha's memories (who was an android) in case something happens to Alpha. And uh, something does in fact happen to Alpha. He's destroyed by an EMP blast in canon, and in the AU his body is disassembled as well. However, Epsilon isn't around, and is later activated by Caboose. The other characters in this part, Sigma (fire head guy) and Meta (lizard guy) are respectively another AI fragment and an ex-Freelancer. Sigma is in control of Meta, whose mind has largely been destroyed by being forcefully implanted and overtaken by several AI. In the story, they're trying to hunt Epsilon down and add him to the "Meta". I imagine this part is sort of like a nightmare Epsilon is having years in the future from when all of this went down. YES... my brainworms have finally made it onto my YouTube channelSO if you follow me on Instagram and/or Tumblr you will have certainly seen a particular AU that's become very special to me because it mashes together two of my all-time favorite properties... popular webseries Red vs. Blue and geek-ass franchise Star Trek! GOD I love it so much!!The story in this part revolves around Sharkface, the half-Andorian half-Romulan, and Washington, the Vulcan, in an adaptation of Sharkface's death scene from Season 13, Episode 16 of RvB. Except the canon way that Sharkface died fills me with rage, so in MY version Wash instead shoots him in the leg and leaves, acknowledging both the horrors that Freelancer and Wash/Carolina in particular have done to Sharkface, but also recognizing that he's an active threat and can't just be left to run around. Afterward it shows the ways in which they've all dealt with their trauma - Wash and Carolina have turned away from the path of revenge to find healthy relationships, in each other and in people like Kimball (the Bajoran). While Sharkface, still hellbent on revenge and suicidal determination, has been left alone and bleeding on his runabout, at a loss for what to do with himself now. GODAMMIT I just have so many feelings about Sharkface and if I think about canon for too long I start shaking like an angry chihuahua. Dustfeather neglected Slugpelt in favor of her brother Rainhaze (blue tabby), and never really seemed to want her daughter. The two of them had a strained dynamic at best. Fast forward and Slugpelt has ended up having her own kits (left to right it's Daffodilkit, Pinekit, Asphodelkit), and their father was a loner who ended up leaving Slugpelt rather than join BarrenClan. She thinks back to her own terrible childhood, and feels conflicted about what kind of mother she might end up being to these kits. CLAN GENERATOR CHALLENGE [PATFW] Razmerry 2022-08-04 | Sorry if I sound awkward, I'm not used to recording myself :,D Also sorry for the times I smack into the mic lol. There's a few things I forgot to mention in the video because it was 50% improv, like I think I didn't quite lay out all the relationships exactly so here they are. Slugpelt is Asphodelpaw, Daffodilpaw, and Pinepaw’s mother. Her mate is deceased. Blacknose is Beeface and Plumstripe’s mother. Her mate is Mallowstar. Nightberry is Cootstorm, Redpelt, and Blacknose’s mother. Her mate is Cypressfoot, the father was a loner. (they're in lesbians with each other)Egrettail and Cormorantpaw are from outside the Clan. I said I was gonna talk about why the genetic pool being small was thematically important and then I just straight up forgot. ANYWAYS it's because the message/plot I was thinking of for this hypothetical story is that Pinepaw eventually comes to the conclusion that BarrenClan doesn't need to live on this terrible land, with a small, hungry Clan, punishing itself for mistakes of the past. They can all move on from the land and their history, starting a new life. And I didn't mention it, but the implication for Cormorantpaw and Egrettail is that they were from whatever "advancing army" group was mentioned in the backstory segment. And all these designs were totally unplanned off the top of my head, just noodling around with patterns. I kinda disregard some of the generator prompts, especially with Redpelt, but I also don't care because I like all the designs. Honestly I just got really attached to these little kitties. THE HEROINE | BEETLEWHISKER PMV Razmerry 2022-01-03 | I think all of us in the Warriors fandom have that one background character that we get inordinately attached to and create mounds of headcanon and backstory for someone with five lines total. For me, that someone is Beetlewhisker. If you don't remember him, he's a RiverClan cat who trained in the Dark Forest during Omen of the Stars, and was killed by Brokenstar for trying to leave. You may also know that he appeared as a continuity error in A Vision of Shadows, miraculously revived by some absent-minded editor. He was also very briefly mentioned in the Broken Code book "Place of No Stars" by his mother, Icewing. There's been some author rumors and hearsay about what his fate was, and I have decided to throw anything you may want to tell me about "canon" in the trash and make my own. Here are the events in this PMV:Following the events of the Great Battle in "The Last Hope", Beetlewhisker has been trapped in the Dark Forest, now devoid of most cats. He roams around aimlessly in the darkness, lonely and sad. He never belonged with the evil cats, and was even killed trying to escape them. He practices fighting moves, skulks the decaying trees, and tries to act like he fits in, but it never sticks. Mapleshade, left alive after the battle, notices Beetlewhisker's sorry state. She comes to him, telling him that toughen up and be like a real Dark Forest cat. Be wicked and cruel, violent and bitter. But Beetlewhisker can't hold up the facade, and cries to her that he can't act like that. Displeased and disgusted, Mapleshade returns to the shadows and leaves Beetlewhisker to sulk. Many moons later, after Ashfur has been banished from the Dark Forest and StarClan connected to it once again, Beetlewhisker makes his way to the tunnel. Silverhawk, Maggottail, and Sparrowpelt all watch him, having made their own choice to remain the Dark Forest. Now Beetlewhisker really knows that StarClan doesn't care about him, no matter how hard he tried to do the right thing. He collapses at the entrance, closing his eyes, and hopes to rot away. Suddenly he feels a paw on his shoulder. Juniperclaw, the guardian of the two worlds, nudges him awake and points to someone standing in the entrance. It's his little brother, Pricklekit, who died shortly after birth. Overjoyed to see him again, Beetlewhisker runs to Pricklekit and embraces him. Pricklekit whispers in Beetlewhisker's ear that he's come to take him to StarClan. Shocked but happy, Beetlewhisker curls around his brother and becomes a StarClan cat, reuniting with his siblings Grasspelt and Petalfur in the stars. ------Now I have a LOT of thoughts on StarClan/The Dark Forest following "A Light in the Mist", and I may make a short comic with Pricklekit related to this video sometime in the future. No More Room // Part 13 [OCs] Razmerry 2021-12-29 | HUMANS? What happened to all the cats?!This is a part for Smelly Trash Rat's "No More Room" MAP. I finished this part in like one day and I had a blast working on it the whole time. Ink illustrations are my dearly beloved, it's a treat getting to imitate a style like this. The characters are ones you might recognize if you follow my Instagram - their names are Hiro Nishida (the first guy with the red coat) and Matthew "Fire" Westbrook (the zombie with the rifle). I've gotten very into drawing them ever since I developed them this Halloween. The basics of their story is that of a zombie apocalypse that they were trapped together in California, all the way across the US from their home in Connecticut. Their goal is to get across the country to their families, but partways into their journey Fire gets bitten by a zombie. However, unlike everyone else they've seen get infected (because of some plot reasons that I won't get into here) he's able to retain his consciousness. The story is all about them getting across the US and meeting new people and situations while dealing with Fire's condition. I don't have a comic or real plotline written out for them, it's just a bunch of fun ideas I've played around with. I do have a three-part animatic series scripted out that I may make featuring them someday, though. Seek And Destroy // CURSED THREE AU SPEEDPAINT Razmerry 2020-10-28 | People have been asking, nay, clamoring for more content of my "Cursed Three AU" (which you can find in my "New Normal" PMV and also an adapted version in the "It's Alright" MAP). This idea has been bouncing around in my head for a little while, so I decided to provide. Prepare for description blocks, sorry in advance. Something fun I like to do with Warriors AUs is imagine how they affect, influence, and shape the rest of the arcs in Warriors, since they are all so interconnected. I suppose this is also my personal "official" version of the canon. Although people are free to put their own spins on the idea. So the original AU takes place over Power of Three and Omen of the Stars. Basically the stuff you've all seen before; the Three get messed up by StarClan who did an oopsies all cursed. Hollyleaf doesn't have a power, (lucky her) Lionblaze is cursed with anything he touches with force breaking, Jayfeather is cursed with no control over other cat's feelings and thoughts and they all flood his head at once. Lionblaze slips into doing a whole lot of murders, Jayfeather becomes a terrible medicine cat assistant with just awful bedside manner. Fire scene happens, and wow there goes Ashfur, Lionblaze straight up chucked him into the fire, bye bye loser. But he's angry about the secret, and with Hollyleaf having fled into the tunnels to hide (where she gets killed by rock and becomes trapped ghost buddies with Fallen Leaves), Lionblaze kills Squirrelflight and Leafpool as payback for his funky existence and finally slips off the deep end into Beast!Lionblaze. Basically a cryptid around the forest, no one wants to go near him. Omen of the Stars rolls around, whoops StarClan messed up Dovewing now. She becomes more distant from her sister Ivypool, the Dark Forest shoots their shot and capitalizes on Dovewing, promising to help her "quiet down" the forest. Ivypool training in the Dark Forest trying to stop Dovewing, but when the Great Battle slams into town everything goes sideways. Lionblaze says "ah, time for murder?" and starts killing. Dovewing is fighting for the Dark Forest, and basically a huge chunk of ThunderClan is wiped out. The Three are chased from the territories by the other Clans banding together, never to return. So ThunderClan is in shambles, just a few cats left, and they retreat to a hidden location. During A Vision of Shadows, the Darktail stuff actually still happens the same, but ThunderClan is just not a part of it. They are hidden away and recovering from the Three, so AVOS is from all the other Clans' perspectives. Basically the same stuff happens, just replace Alderheart with another Clan cat and Twigbranch is in RiverClan instead of ThunderClan. SkyClan returns, etc. etc. AVOS. NOW it's Broken Code time! Shadowsight is Tigerheart and Blossomfall's kid (Blossomfall filling in for Dovewing's canon role, they both trained in the DF and so on). Rootspring is still Violetshine and Tree's kid, and Bristlefrost is Ivypool and Mousewhisker's kid. The gang are sent a prophecy by StarClan, the one seen in the art piece. "To right what has been wronged, to clear the stars of darkness, you must face the torn, the hollow, the bloodied." It would take a book or so for the gang to get together and figure out the meaning of the prophecy, sort of New Prophecy style. StarClan wants them to go seek and destroy the Cursed Three, who are still living out in the wilds. But the basic premise of The Broken Code in this AU is slowly the gang realize that StarClan is just trying to get them to do their dirty work after they messed up, and eventually they fight against cruel StarClan's order. Ashfur can still be here, goading them on to kill the Cursed Three, cause he's pissed about Lionblaze killing him. I think Lionblaze would be the first one found, "the bloodied", and the gang would kill him by driving him off a cliff. But they'd have some talks and as they're traveling to find the next cat, they realize it was kinda messed up what happened to him. There would be a big dramatic confrontation for the next cat, but the point I'm getting at is they don't kill the other two, they try to help and soothe them. Maybe Dove and Jay die, maybe they don't, but the gang is sympathetic for them and gets angry at StarClan. I don't have exact ideas about the rest of the "arc", but that's my basic idea. TL;DR - Broken Code gang goes on quest to murder the Cursed Three, along the way realizes that god sucks instead. Who Framed Venus Weasel? // SPEEDPAINT Razmerry 2020-09-07 | I rewatched Who Framed Roger Rabbit? last week, and it reminded me that I’ve always wanted to draw my sona Cadet in the style of the weasels from that movie. And man it was tricky but I really like how it ended up.Here’s some design process notes if anyone is interested:- I was actually thinking about designing this character as if she were a cartoon made in the forties. All the toons in Roger Rabbit are pretty saturated, so I screwed up Cadet’s grayish-brown pink into a more saturated pink. She’s a female animal character anyways, it was either weirdly curvy proportions (the weasels are already very slinky looking and exaggerated) or pink and I like pink more than sex.- The term “space cadet” didn’t exist in the 1940’s, so I tried to think of another space term that was female associated and that they would’ve known about, and boy howdy was that tough. Venus is a fun option anyways, since they thought it was a beautiful lovely planet, but actually Venus is a nightmare hellspace planet that will crush and maul your tiny human body the second you enter its atmosphere. (Assorted Characters) Razmerry 2020-08-11 | MORE INFO BELOW:This is sorta follow up to a video I made last year featuring the voice headcanons of the main characters in my Warriors webcomic, but it was so much fun I really wanted to do it again; just with my personal OCs. She's mean and power-hungry and angry and she really hates Darksnow. She's in the Dark Forest after her death. - Darksnow is a sad and traumatized medicine cat who got severely fucked up by a starving fox attack set up by Hollyfrost. He is blackmailed by her in life and after she dies he is pretty moody and cynical.- Crowface is a character from several stories I wrote on Warriors Amino that got a lot of attention. She is a ShadowClan cat who escaped the black plague devouring her Clan and fled with her mate Thorntail and her son Badgerkit. I love her and she's great. - Preta Harivu is sort of a folk tale creature based on the idea of spirits luring travelers to their death when they're lost and alone. Her name roughly translates to "the ghost of life" in Kannada.- Cement is my oldest OC and has changed a lot over the years. He's a thief cat who got shot by an arrow but was brought back to life by his demon buddy Hollow. He likes gold and jewelry and is a weird reptile-bird-rabbit-snake mixture thing. He is a partner in crime with Cement.- Dodol is a sweet kitty who is also terrifying and has the gift of prophecy. Will tell you when you die unprompted. His name means a type of Indonesian toffee.- Thawstream is a Dark Forest RiverClan medicine cat born without a front leg. He is bitter and touchy and on the scrawny side but underestimate him at your own risk. - Ezrea is a four-armed member of a god-alien species I made when I was thirteen. They were imprisoned on Earth but have made the best of their situation. They super don't like Nadav.- Nadav is the leader of the aforementioned god-alien species. He is made of electric energy and will zap ya, or just stab ya. He considers Ezrea a traitor. - Key is a bat critter called a "false/lesser demon", and he is part of a faceless army for the villain Irelka. He's the protagonist of my sometime eventually comic Glass Beach.- Ford Valentine, aww. He's an OC near and dear to my heart. Fun fact, his original form was a Mewtwo named MewFour who wore a fedora. Again, thirteen. He's a grumpy nerd and he likes literature. - Jaw, or Andrew Bluefield, is a human who got cursed by a magic rock into a crocodile monster thing. He was originally created for the Labyrinth OCT on DeviantArt. He's a himbo and a jock. - King Perküt is an arrogant, gluttonous kitty king who possesses incredibly powerful fire powers that can burn anything that touches body when he chooses to. Known sometimes as the "Vice King" and the "Ash Monster" to others.- Plutarch is a Greek cat who got cursed for his greed and now he has two mouths and no other facial features. Unsurprisingly he loves to eat. Frozen Pines // Part 14 [Warriors OCs] Razmerry 2020-07-24 | This a part featuring my OC, Greenbeetle, who appears in the background of my comic The Dog Star. I think it turned out alright, I've never drawn an AC unit before so that was an interesting challenge.Greenbeetle was a kittypet whose grandmother, Cricketfeather, fled the Clans to escape a terrible sickness that swept through SunClan. Cricketfeather went to the Twoleg homes in the nearby town of Ekalaka and became a kittypet, taking her young daughter Shiverkit with her. The daughter, now named Elaine, grew up in Twolegplace and had a son named Jasper. Elaine always warned Jasper against the Clans, having only bad memories of it. But as Cricketfeather grew older, she told Jasper stories of the good things about Clan life. Jasper was a very confident, dazzlingly handsome cat who yearned for adventure, so one night he slipped out to join SunClan, taking on the name Greenbeetle.
