I don't expect anyone to be able to watch this vid and perform all the counterplay perfectly - I'd advise trying to implement a little bit at a time as you play the matchup more! I also tried to keep the answers to stuff in this vid more universal where possible because I didn't want to slow the runtime down with information on character-specific reversals or other strange interactions like Megafist on Disc. There is of course more to lab for each character, but 18 minutes already felt a lot as it was, so I wanted to keep it concise where possible.
If you have any questions, please let me know!

There's lots of stuff to cover with this move, but neutral implications and the like are something I wanted to leave for another time while we wait for the new meta to develop. I hope this helps in the meantime!
Expanding on the Bad Moon oki stuff:
The discs set here don't hit exactly meaty, and I don't think there's any way to get them to do that. However, they can't jump out, so the L/R still exists - it just means that their ability to reversal/mash has changed. If they're mashing on your disc sets though they are either insane or extremely smart or both.

btw this isn't how to block every Millia thing ever this is more just like some layer 1 stuff to get you started. Millia players do a lot more 2P now to make up for FD on cS for example, and there's other mix layers here I haven't included, but I wanted to make this kinda basic and quick to explain. also this isn't a Millia downplay video i promise i just want people to stop getting hit by a safe jump because they believe there's some fucked up mix there
no Out of Bounds
all Wisps
Lightless
Shardless
The run is played on Hard difficulty, and Godmode (invincibility glitch) is banned.
These restrictions effectively ban a lot of the more powerful combat and movement options. This makes the run extremely challenging; just finishing a run can be very daunting, and nearly any split is a run killer.

Happy with this run for now, though these are three colossal errors (messing up Backup Saves by Midnight Burrows, and the Mora/Shriek fights went badly). I'll take another few attempts at the category, but, while it is fun, it can be quite unforgiving, so we'll see.
The timer glitches right at the end, but the final time is around a 1:09:45.86.
(Before anyone flames me, music is off so I can use sound cues to know when to move when I load in. I normally play on a different patch with different muscle memory, so I instead listen for when the ambient sound changes to know when to move on this version, which can be difficult to gauge with the music on)

-The control scheme being like this makes playing the game in portable mode a huge pain/impossible, which is at ends with the design of having Moons everywhere so you can pop the game on and get some nice rewards while on public transport or whatever
-Captures that briefly alter movement are the best imo - the forks in this level and the flicky things in Metro are good because they add to your movement for traversing the level
I also really don't like the level design because pretty much no major objective forces you to actually learn anything about the levels, which defeats the point of the levels being open. For example, in Metro, three of the four musicians are out of the open, with only one of them requiring you to do anything creative to reach them - if they'd all been placed in locations that required some ingenuity to reach, every challenge could then be instructed with the knowledge that the player knows the layout of the level... but instead all of the new Moons are time-wasting ones like the giant MARIO letters.
I talk about this on stream at another point, but the game punishes you for exploring a level before completing it, and it doesn't give you any other rewards to make up for your time lost - in Sand Kingdom, if you go on top of the Bullet Bill house, there is absolutely nothing there except a frozen block. There is no difference between accessing that before or after thawing the ice, except one gives you the Moon. It's a big waste of time!!
Okay that's all please follow me at twitch.tv/skarfeltssb xo
Super Metroid is one of my all-time favourite games. I played through it with a close analysis for the purpose of making a video, but after writing a 27K word script and realising I had no idea how to produce such a monstrosity, I decided to try making some smaller videos first. This is to say that I have 27K words of Super Metroid material to talk about, so if you liked this, there is a LOT more where it came from.
This is my first time making an analysis video like this. I've always wanted to do them, but I've been too lazy to record my own footage. If you like this, please let me know, because I'd love to make more!

The buffer system gets some well-deserved flak from the community, but there also appear to be a few misconceptions about it. This video will hopefully help people understand how to reduce their misinputs, or what wasn't the buffer system's fault at all.
HOLD BUFFER DETAILS:
I didn't go into this cuz it's not super relevant, but here are the numbers for hold buffer.
You can start hold buffer 2 frames after an initial input - so frame 3 of that move's startup.
As long as you continue holding the input until 3 frames before the previous action's endlag, it will successfully buffer.
Fox's FTilt can be acted out of on frame 24, which means that if you begin holding A on frame 3, and then let go on frame 21, you will buffer a Jab.
~~~~~
So, this video came about cuz I was really inspired by all the people who have said I really helped them in Smash 4. I've had this idea for a while, but I definitely wanna get back to doing Fox content. I can't say for sure when that'll be, but to all of you who have stuck with me waiting, those returning, or even those here for the first time: thank you so much. =]
Sheik has some unique quirks to her movement in this game. These are some small optimisations you can use to speed up your gameplay as well as making some combos connect that otherwise couldn't.
Some of this tech applies to other characters as well. Other characters with faster Run Speeds than Dash Speeds include Sonic, Fox, Captain Falcon, Greninja, Ridley, Cloud, Palutena, Yoshi, Pikachu and Mii Brawler - some of these increases are more dramatic than others. Any character with a Dash to Shield of frame 8 can do the quicker skid cancel stuff as well - I didn't test the whole cast, but I know at least Corrin can do it too.
~~~
For anyone hoping for Fox content, I'm afraid Fox is just ... very boring for me in this game. I've labbed dozens of hours on him, and there's nearly nothing interesting to show for it. Nobody's more disappointed about that than I am. There may be some Fox content down the line just to cover the random stuff I've labbed, or a combo video of the clips I have so far, but I'm mostly turning my attention towards Sheik as my labbed character of interest. I'll still be posting stuff which can apply to Fox though (like Dashwalking in this video) so I hope you still stick around.

Hey guys, so this stuff was labbed out in December/January when the game came out. Originally, I planned to make a lot more content and better refine this video - this is actually version 2 which fixed previous errors, and I planned to do the same. However, a lack of interest in the game as well as being in my final year of university has left me unwilling to do more videos, so this one has stayed up. There's a lot of stuff here that isn't fully accurate to DI, percentage, or whatever else. I still think the information is generally fine, but you likely won't get some of the extended true combos. I may still update it one day, but it's not on the cards for me right now, and I'm sorry about that.
~~~~~
This video contains some basic and advanced bread and butters for Fox. Of course, there's a lot of stuff not covered in here, but this is to help you get a starting point for how your combos do and don't work.
(NOTE: at 3:42, it should say 50%, not 30%. Sorry!)
So, this is my first piece of actual Ultimate content. I'm still not 100% sure exactly what I want to do with content - I have a few scripts written for Optimising Fox and some other videos like "How to Lab", but ... I dunno. I don't feel I know quite enough about the game yet to tell people how to play it, and the last thing I want to do is rush out videos with misinformation in them. I imagine that I'll eventually feel confident enough to start making more in-depth tutorials - for both Fox and Inkling! - but until then, please sit tight. I read all of your comments, and I see the people who have been commenting on my stuff for years. It really means a lot to me that you're still sticking around to listen to me talk about Fox!
