Far from our best run. We really plebbed on second boss so we ended up 2 mins slower than our fastest run getting to the last boss. Our first and last was ok. If a group really went for it a trial time of around 24:15 would be possible in the current patch.
I think we will move onto something else however as for now we already have the record in this trial and we have spent enough time in there.
My Setups: Boss 1: Coral Riptide - Tzogvin - Kilt On this boss we don't use EC, so that we can even out damage in execute. I use 1 axe 1 dagger and fighting finesse cp. With kilt and brittle this gets me to crit cap. Some of our dds used Sulxan in place of Riptide to get their crit damage. It seems better in the first phase of the fight but worse the the last phase of the fight. If you are holding the dome then picking up your Sulxan can be impossible sometimes which is why I didn't want to use it.
Boss 2: War Machine - Tzogvin - Sea Serpents Coil Here I am buffing the group with major slayer. We did have a more optimal setup in mind where we wouldn't need a DD to use War Machine but we were already so late into the progression. I think Coral Riptide + Tzogvin is the best setup to use on this boss. And Sea Serpents the best mythic.
Boss 3: Coral Riptide - Pilar Of Nirn - Kilt Pilar of Nirn does some crazy damage when paired with Coral Riptide. Kilt uptimes are good if the Sirens are not targeting you much. The Sorc in our group would always get targeted by default for whatever reason. Leaving the rest of us free to abuse his suffering. If that is not the case for you then I would use either a monster set or the new Mora's Whispers mythic and slot fighting finesse.
Mini bosses: War Machine - Tzogvin - Kilt I am building up ulti from 1 or 2 trash packs so that I can provide 100% slayer uptime for the group in these fights. You can see me trying gen as much ult as I can leading up to the Mini bosses. We have another DD doing the same thing for the group that gets pulled in. On the Haj mini I can only use 1 met as I need as I need to save ult for providing major slayer on the second boss.
Trash: SulXan - Briarheart - Prior Thierric - Kilt The monster set is pretty good. More reliable than stormfist as you have some control over where it procs. Alternatively you can use Asylum duel wield instead of a monster set. Short is using that setup and his damage in trash is really good. Overall our damage was very similar so the difference probably down to individual gameplay rather than setups themselves.Lylanar & Turlassil 76.2k/95k DPS | Stamina Necromancer | Dreadsail Reef HardmodeJaise Newton2022-07-07 | ...Kynes Aegis - Former World Record | Dragonknight | 13:28 251431 | DeadlandsJaise Newton2022-03-07 | Guild name - Simulation Deadlands - 06/03/22 Score - 251,431 Time - 13:28

Huge congrats to the team on our first real attempt at pushing for a score. And shout out to Stress Tested for giving the group some competition and a reason to really push ourselves. Our goal was to simply beat the previous vKA time as set by Stress Tested in the previous patch as quickly as we could. To that end we settled on using a group comp identical to ST's last patch comp with some minor adjustments to setups since we knew it would work for what we wanted to do and cut down on progression time.
There is still a lot of time saved in the current patch with a more optimised group comp. I'm looking forward to seeing what Stress Tested or Simulation can pull off before the patch ends.
My gameplay in trash was decent however this was some of my worst gameplay on all bosses. On Yandir I was even stuck with my trash CP since I fumbled by gear swaps.
In trash I swap between Acuity/BSW and Sulxan/BSW boss setup is the same for all of them Bahsei Kilt Kjalnar 2xRoaring Masters ice front bar vMA inferno backbar
For this parse I am using the recently changed frost reach as a spammable. Since it is now guaranteed to apply brittle it's very easy to keep high uptimes with this kind of setup.
For gear I used master's ice staff with 3 DV 1 slim and 5 bahsei. Although master's ice staff doesn't buff stamina shalks its still worth using them since it really helps sustain and frees up a lot of our casts for reach - giving us higher brittle uptimes and better uptime on the masters staff spell damage buff.
Since in raid you may need more penetration two alternatives I've seen people trying are: 4 new moon with 5 Bahsei - new gives us the line of penetration on the 4 piece 2 Thunder caller 1 slim 1 pc crit monster set and 5 bahsei - Thunder caller gives the pen on the 2 piece.
These two setups should be pretty close to one another in dps, but the second one has more crit chance in it.
In this parse I am using subterranean assault which gives me a lot of extra sustain and gcd's. Because stamina abilities scale off of weapon damage and weapon crit you want a source of major brutality and major savagery. So I try to keep up netch 100% of the time and front bar camo hunter.
Although camo hunter is only one barred I don't stress too much about making sure shalks always hits on the front bar so that they benefit from the extra crit. I did try that and while it does mean more dps from shalks, overall I would lose dps because I would end up either overcasting or undercasting my back bar dots.
When using the stamina morph of shalks no setup other than Bahsei + Diamonds Victory will really do since 5th piece of Bahsei also buffs stamina abilities and Diamonds Victory is a set for stam or mag. That's a little annoying if you want to use Medusa for a fight since that set doesn't really offer anything for stamina abilities.
Luckily Bahsei + DV is the best setup in the game and warden really benefits from having such a strong setup available to them.
It's my view that magden dummy parses are sort of inflated due to the fact it is now very easy to keep your mag low throughout the whole parse. Warden sustain is basically perfect for using Bahsei on the dummy. I start the parse with around 25 seconds until my next potion and around 30% mag. From there I try to only take synergies when I'm completely out and my potion on cooldown. As you see in the parse I only rarely go above 30% magicka. Occasionally I will recast trap or netch a bit early but that's all for managing my sustain.🐻Magicka Warden 112k - Daggers | Waking Flame PTSJaise Newton2021-07-31 | cmx - imgur.com/2vDcq12 Setup - imgur.com/Bh9Fpv2🐻Magicka Warden 109k - Inferno Staves | Waking Flame PTSJaise Newton2021-07-30 | cmx - imgur.com/iQbou3g setup - imgur.com/Xck7IRQ🤖Immortal Redeemer with Inting Elitists | Templar Front Kite | BlackwoodJaise Newton2021-07-18 | This was my first prog with this group and I initially joined so that i could practice front kiting as I didn't think I was very good at it.
In this run we got IR and I got my pb for dps with 28.2k st parse - imgur.com/dojOXI0
The uptime on my dots could of been better - they are all around 94%. around 97% was my target but only managed that with entropy Brittle was good I think - 62% from me. I haven't managed hit that much higher MK was ok, 47%. 47-50% is about as high as I've managed.
I improved a lot over the course of this prog but I still think I could improve a lot more
This was the best performing setup for me after testing a bunch of different combinations.
Despite its nerfs over the PTS the Kilt is still a very strong 1 piece and you would want to use it everywhere you can. Exactly which fights/trials it can be effectively used in would require more testing in those specific fights after the patch hits live.
Bahsei’s damage is comparable to Sioria, at least in the tests I’ve done. It's a very strong set but to get the most out of it you really need to think a lot more about what you are doing.
I paired it with Siroria as it's a very strong set and can be front barred, allowing me to keep the benefits of both sets while on my back bar. The combination of the thief mundus stone, 2 precise daggers, 1 slimeclaw and the extra crit chance from the kilt puts me at around 72% crit chance. Which is a decent spot to be in.
Some notes about using Bahsei’s: As you see I dump my mag before the fight using siege shield, since it is an expensive skill. Usually I would try to start the fight at around 35 -40% magicka.
From there I am trying to keep my mag as low as I can and using spell symmetry/synergies to top it up when I run out completely. Really I should be tracking my orb synergy cooldown. A few times I cast spell sym when I could of delayed a little by recasting trap/netch early.
In content managing magicka can be a little trickier. Having played mostly healer and using the Pearls of Ehlnofey mythic item I have had a chance to practice this. One thing your group could potentially do is drop symphony of blades. Since this gives you a burst of sustain and it is out of your control, which is something you want to avoid. Normally the healer using pearls is also the healer running symphony for this reason.
Healers have a new champion slottable this patch that gives the group some recovery. That should make it easier for dd’s to manage their mag pools effectively since this isn’t as much of a burst as symphony.
If sustain is still too high another option I thought of is using vampire to increase the cost of your abilities. Especially for classes who have naturally high sustain like nightblades and necros. And then adjust your vamp stage accordingly.
Good setups for when you have to be too mobile for siroria. Not too much difference between front barring one or the other, but having the extra crit from MS on both bars might win out in a raid.
In cases where daggers aren't an option, 3 parses with an inferno FB
The lack of crit when using siroria bahsei is more noticeable without daggers. For that reason I would probably go with siroria MS or bahsei MS in actual content.
And three parses using 2 zaan rather than the kilt
Most things hitting at least 100k, which is still a lot of damage. You can't really go wrong using any of the above setups.
I did try other things, including; Kilt siroria 2 zaan 4 Assassin’s guile/Calurions Kilt MS 2 zaan 4 PFG The results from these setups were a bit underwhelming, I didn't think they were better options than the ones above so I didn't bother saving the cmx for them.
One interesting set I only tested a little is diamonds victory This is a new crafted set coming with the blackwood chapter.
Shalks will proc the range supremacy buff, which will grant you 437 spell damage to your ranged and dot abilities. Note - the game treats shalks as a melee ability for this set. I feel like this is not intended as shalks is 7m wide, but the range is 20m. This may get fixed in a future update.
If we’re using this with a staff we also easily get the melee supremacy buff giving the same spell damage for our shalks.
A strong crafted option for trash or when using an inferno staff - although I still think bahsei/MS is a better if you can run it.⛓ Blackrose with Plebs | 109491 Score | Necromancer | Flames of AmbitionJaise Newton2021-05-21 | Robbed of our 110 because someone (Gwyn) accidentally hit a sigil..
But our initial goal was a 109 which we managed to get. We did push on and make further optimisations after this run but sadly we kept being plebs and ran out of time to keep doing runs. I would like to return in the future to improve the score further.
I have ghost on my front bar in trash, it should be on the back and boneyard front. I was switching skills around before this run and didn't think it through properly. I also later put colossus on both bars.
The setups I ended up with were; Trash - PFG MS 1 Slime Boss 1 2 & 4 - 5 MS 4 PFG 2 Zaan Boss 3 & 5 - MS Siroria 1 Slime Pale order in all of those Although I'm not quite sure if I had these on in this run, I was still trying different things.
One colossal mistake I noticed is that I forgot to use potency on stage 4 before the boss which meant I got my colossus really late into the fight. As well as many others
Here I am having a try with 2 new sets from the PTS The first is called Harpooner's Wading Kilt - a new mythic. The big thing about this set is that it increases crit damage by 20%. It's very simple to use and very easy to maintain the bonus from it. A no brainer for any dps setup next patch since it doesn't really have any drawback.
The other new set is Bahsei's Mania Set. This is the magicka dps set form the new trial Rockgrove. This set increases your damage done by up 15% - scaling with your missing magicka. To utilise this set fully you need to drop your mag low and keep it low for as long as possible while still maintaining your rotation. This is a very powerful and interesting set. Keeping your mag low while not running out completely is a quite challenging and fun. I had to think carefully about when I was using potions and taking the synergy, as well as think further ahead in my rotation than I normally would.🦇 Maw Of Lorkhaj with Greggs | 172287 Score | Magden - Flames of AmbitionJaise Newton2021-04-09 | Don't need healers because everyone's off toggling. Since Swm ruined our Gryphon Heart we had to go back in and get one. We were doing Cloudrest just before the patch so it was nice to have something to we could compare with. We did change our strat to get an easy GH by having 3 tanks, 2 DD's per portal and killing all minis. We were unsure how things would be with the new champion points and crit changes.
Damage is a bit lower but not by a huge margin as far as we could tell. Keep in mind though DD's didn't make any drastic changes to their setups. Most were still running artaeum pickled fish bowl for example.
Healing is way higher it seems. I was a little worried the higher health pools might make bane a problem but execute actually seemed easier. Most DD's had between 28k-30k health pools but from my point of view it was no problem to heal them back up.
Mitigation on DDs was noticeable lower. So maybe having these slightly higher health pools is the way forward if you want to play a little safe. Particularly in something like Cloudrest where DDs are taking a fair bit of damage throughout the fight.
Gear I used was SPC + Hollow My CP slottables were: Soothing Tide, Swift Renewal, Fighting Finesse and ForesightCloudrest with GREGGS | Warden Kite Healer | MarkarthJaise Newton2021-03-07 | To close out the Markarth patch we decided to try and get a nice score in Cloudrest. For most of us it was our first time trying a Galenwe skip so we spent a lot of time just practicing that.
In the time we had to push we managed to achieve 134.6k as our highest. I do think we could have gotten higher if we had more time to push it a bit. After this run we had just one more raid left before patch. We made some adjustments to our strat after this run and tried to push more damage but due to a lack of practice we just couldn't quite pull it off in one raid unfortunately.
My setups were deadwater + acuity for trash spc + hollow for the boss I also prebuffed horn with MA + jorvulds
