CoffeeCraftHow to automatically drain the ocean using flying machines, clear the ocean monument, kill the elder guardians and all done in a step by step Survival Tutorial. Once completed you'd be able to make a maximum efficiency guardian farm, epic base or both! Designed just for Java edition.
First you will need to find an ocean monument which can be found in a deep ocean, deep frozen ocean, deep cold ocean, deep lukewarm ocean or deep warm ocean. Monument can be located with ocean explorer maps which are bought from cartographer villagers. You could recreate your world in creative mode and use the command /locate monument or just use a website called Chunkbase.
I built this in Java singleplayer survival so it may or may not work on servers depending on the type of server since some servers may or may not work with these flying machines. It probably won't work on Bedrock since the mechanics for flying machines are different.
CHECK COMMENT FOR 1.18.2/1.19.2 ISSUE AND FIX!
To quickly kill the 3 elder guardians and to drain the ocean you will want Protection IV Diamond armour or better with: -Aqua Affinity -Depth Strider III -Respiration III -A chestplate and elytra
You will want tools/weapons with: -Efficiency V -Sharpness V -Or a trident with Impaling V
Potions of: -Invisibility+ (1-2 shulkerboxes) -Water Breathing+ (1-2 shulkerboxes) Useful but not necessary potions of: -Night Vision+ -Strength II -Regeneration
You can also substitute a conduit instead of the potions of water breathing+ and Night Vision+. Conduits also increases mining speed by 16.7% (1/6th) which will make clearing the monument even faster!
The item required to raid the monument are: -3 TNT -3 Sand (or gravity affected blocks) -Flint n Steel -6 Doors (for air pockets underwater) -4ish buckets of milk (to remove mining fatigue) -golden carrots or apples recommended as food -slime blocks recommended as temporary blocks
The resources required are: -4.66 Shulkerboxes of Sand/Gravel (or gravity affected blocks=126 stacks) -34 stacks of leaves -326 Slime Blocks (5.1 Stacks) -24 Sticky Pistons -24 Observers -24 Redstone Blocks -32 Pistons -128 Solid Blocks -128 Temporary Blocks -8 Furnaces -64 Scaffolding or similiar block -8 Sand for flying machines -256 Slabs (4 stacks) -A beacon with Haste II is HIGHLY recommended for maximum efficiency! The more beacon affects the better as well

Armors Now can be visually customized with a variety of unique trims at the smithing table. Purely visual with no gameplay benefits, and can only be applied to helmets, chestplates, leggings and boots. All trim patterns are visually the same on an armor's item icon, but the color will still change based on the trim material. The name of the trim pattern will be displayed on the item's tooltip. Armor trim has 2 properties: pattern, material. Pattern: Defined by the Smithing Template used to apply the trim, and represents the visual pattern of the trim. Material: Defined by what ingredient used to apply the trim, and represents the color of the trim.

This farm can now produce around 44000 items per hour if you spawn proof everything within 128 blocks but by using the new spawning mechanics in soul sand valleys and warped forests, we can achieve around 28000 just by spawn proofing the fortress and gathering 25-35 striders.
To finish everything for the farm we will be making the mob sweepers/flying machines, return stations for flying machines, collection system, Item pushers, item sorter and spawn proofing the fortress to maximize our loot!
If you Spawn proof the entire nether(including lava) within 128 blocks of this farm the drops will be as follows: Total 42377/h Wither Skeleton Skull 280/h Blaze Rods 6377/h Coal 7423/h Bone 14713/h Gold Nugget 4919/h Gold Ingot 121/h Rotten Flesh 4851/h Golden Sword 250/h Arrow 2724/h Stone Sword 542/h 100,000 XP/h and small amounts of other junk items dropped by skeletons and pigmen.
These drops will vary with the amount of striders in your loaded area and you will only get the maximum rates if you spawn proof everything and don't miss a single block. I would recommend using replay mod so you can find any blocks that you might miss for this. Using 25-35 striders to create a perimeter much easier we will obtain around 71% of the maximum drops but no normal skeleton drops. This equals around 30,269 drops/h.

This farm can now produce around 42,377 items per hour if you spawn proof everything within 128 blocks but by using the new spawning mechanics in soul sand valleys and warped forests, we can achieve around 30,269 just by spawn proofing the fortress and gathering 25-35 striders.
We will be continuing exactly where we left off and starting the redstone components for this farm. Starting off with some redstone torch towers, redstone clock, flying machines for pushing mobs into the 1x1 chamber, return stations for the flying machines and a redstone wall for activating all of the flying machines.
IMPORTANT NOTE for the flying machines: if you unload the chunks or quit the game while using the flying machines, they will probably freeze mid flight or a component will be moved into a wrong position. Avoid this otherwise you will need to reactivate them or rebuild parts of them.*this is normal for most flying machines though.
