This is the ZipDoor Magnetic Door Kit—and it’s a real game-changer for me in my remodeling projects.
I’ve been using Zipwall poles for at least 10 years now, and the older version of the magnetic door sine they came out several years ago. It’s a nice system but it’s always been tough to get a good seal with the metal poles.
This new magnetic door version is designed to seal directly to the door trim or wall or on a plastic dust wall.
Zipwall recommends using their double-sided tape which has a gentle adhesive on one side to protect door trim and wall paint, and a stronger adhesive to adhere to the magnetic panel in place.
• Apply double sided tape to the door frame.
• Peel away the paper backing to expose the other side of the tape.
• Position the magnetic panel squarely over the doorway and align it so the bottom firmly touch’s the floor.
• Press panel into the tap., start at the top and then work down the sides.
• If you’re applying the magnetic door to a plastic dust barrier wall, first using a marker, layout and mark the doorway perimeter and then install duct tape around the doorway frame. Follow the exact same directions as we just mentioned. Then cut a slit in the plastic by opening the door. Then cut out the plastic just inside the duct tape,
Reusable Box
What's neat is that everything you need comes packed in a tough, reusable box. Inside, you'll find one self-closing magnetic door panel, three rolls of 1″ × 24′ ZipWall double-sided tape (enough for four setups), and a plastic sheeting cutter. The door panel itself is made from high-tech fire-proof fabric.
Let's talk features:
• Easy set up with the double-sided tape
• Reusable
• Covers doorways up to 46″ × 86.”
• Self-closing magnets, ensures your door stays shut.
• Stores in its own box and lives in my van.
Learning how to control remodeling dust and keeping out of the non-remodeled portion of your client’s home is often more important than the quality of your work
The ZipWall system is the ideal dust control barrier and the self-closing feature on the magnets is a hands-free feature and a time saver when your carrying stuff.
It cost $98 and if your careful it will last years.
At the end of the day this magnetic door provides remodeler, contractors, DIYers a flexible option that accommodates variously sized door openings and multiple applications.
Its professional with your clients, effective at controlling dust and pays dividends on your initial investment.

Ryobi sent us their new 40V Hybrid 20" Air Cannon to test and evaluate. This fan is AC/DC and runs off Ryobi's 40-volt battery line.
Despite its name, "Air Cannon," one might expect this fan to be loud. However, the Ryobi, part of their Whisper Series line, is surprisingly quiet. Ryobi has been diligently reducing noise across their Whisper Series line, which includes cordless blowers, lawnmowers, string trimmers, and fans.
We conducted a decibel test. Placing our device at ear height, 8 feet away from the fan but within its wind path, we obtained the following results:
Maximum decibels recorded on HIGH: 77.1 dB
Maximum decibels recorded on MEDIUM: 65.5 dB
Maximum decibels recorded on LOW: 44.8 dB
Whether in a workshop or household, this fan operates silently, enabling easy conversations or unexpected phone calls, thus enhancing the workspace ambiance for uninterrupted work.
The Ryobi RY40HF01 Air Cannon offers four operational settings, controlled by a large speed switch on the right side of the fan with 3 settings Low-Med - High
Ryobi provides the following CFM ratings for each setting:
High: 6,300 CFMs
Medium: 4,450 CFMs
Low: 2,850 CFMs
The Ryobi Air Cannon fan proves invaluable in various applications. Whether circulating air in the workshop, expelling paint fumes or dust, or providing cooling relief at a jobsite, this air cannon delivers. Outdoors, it becomes a cooling beast, offering respite from sweltering temperatures.
With its rugged wheels and portability, it's perfect for beach outings or camping trips on hot summer afternoons. During renovations, it efficiently clears demolition dust, ensuring a cleaner workspace.
The Ryobi boasts an impressive run-time, with Ryobi claiming 34 hours of continuous operation on the lowest setting using a 40V 12Ah battery. The run-time reduces roughly in half with a 6.0Ah battery and three-quarters with a 4.0Ah battery.
Being a hybrid fan, it offers the option for continuous operation by plugging into an extension cord.
The Ryobi Air Cannon features a large adjustment knob for pivoting the fan, located on the left side. Loosen the knob to adjust the fan head's angle, allowing the fan to pivot 180° . Once in the desired position, tighten the knob to secure it.
Equipped with 6" wheels, the Ryobi RY40HF01 facilitates maneuverability and portability on the job site. Assembly of these wheels requires one bolt and three washers per wheel, making setup easy. Additionally, it features a large collapsible handle for easier transportation or securing inside a work vehicle.
Constructed with a robust metal frame, the Ryobi is designed to withstand transportation and falls, ensuring durability and longevity.
Room for Improvement:
We would suggest enlarging the collapsible handle slightly. Currently, when deployed, it lacks sufficient height, necessitating users to bend lower for transportation.
Overall Thoughts:
Impressed with the Ryobi 40V line of equipment, we find it to be a testament to Ryobi's commitment to creating a robust line of tools. Our crew has always been impressed with their outdoor power equipment, and this air cannon fan is no exception. Running all day on a battery, easy to transport, and exceptionally quiet, the Ryobi 40V Hybrid 20" Air Cannon is a commendable addition to their lineup. Well done, Ryobi!

Makita 40v - 2nd place overall.
We have edited the incorrect Wh rating on the Makita 40V battery. This did have a small change in the Efficiency ranking swapping Makita 40V and Milwaukee for 6th and 7th place. This in turn gives a 1 point difference in our final scoring, giving the Makita 40V a one point advantage over the Hilti. This results in Makita 40 being the sole second place finisher and the Hilti in 3rd.

Mike Hopp a RI remodeling contractor, and friend, asked us to help him frame out a large garage that was being converted into a studio apartment.
The garage was framed with 2x4 walls, a truss roof system and had an existing concrete slab floor. The trusses meant that we did not have any bearing walls inside the structure and meant that we cover the entire floor slab with no interruptions to the perimeter walls with insulating foam board.
We all agreed that this continuous foam board approach would be faster than installing pressure treated sleepers and then having to cut ridged foam to fit tightly between the sleepers, and spay foam them in.
Floating Floor Overview:
Mike’s plan called for an uninterrupted layer of 2” Owens Corning extruded polystyrene (XPS)foam boards directly on top of the concrete slab, with all the seams taped. This would be followed by two layers of 3/4-inch Advantech subflooring floating [not fastened] on top of the foam. The foam additionally allowed us to achieve a complete thermal break and obtain an R-10 insulating value above the concrete slab.
Creating a Thermal Break and Vapor Barrier
In an ideal scenario, the floor under this slab would have been insulated with rigid insulation such as XPS (extruded polystyrene) board, known for its high compressive strength. Utilizing XPS beneath the slab enables the concrete to retain heat effectively.
Our primary objective in covering the concrete floor with XPS foam board is twofold: to establish a thermal break and to implement a continuous vapor barrier.
Thermal breaks are essential for maintaining optimal heat retention within concrete slabs. Their advantages include heightened energy efficiency, enhanced comfort, and the prevention of condensation.
The absence of XPS foam board could result in cold air meeting warm, heat-generated air inside the studio apartment, potentially leading to condensation in the walls or floors and fostering mold growth and other issues.
Installing the Foam:
We sed Owens Corning FOAMULAR 400 Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) Insulation boards
designed for use in load-bearing situations, such as under slab, concrete floors, foundations, roadways and rail beds, parking decks, and cold storage installations.
We installed the 2” insulation boards on the concrete floor without glue. Installing the foam boards went quickly. The board cuts easily with a table saw lays flat on a clean, vacuumed concrete floor. Once the foam was fitted on the floor, we sealed all the seams with 3M #8067 All Weather Flashing Tape and sealed the perimeter seams at the concrete walls, and utility pipe penetrations with expanding foam.
This 3M tape is a self-adhering, waterproof flashing membrane designed for seaming damp surfaces such as polyethylene vapor barrier products, building materials and seal to around openings and penetrations in exterior walls. It has a unique acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive that aggressively sticks and stays stuck both at lower and higher application temperatures.
I will note that after installing the XPS foam boards on the floor we all noticed that the room felt warmer.
Note – we also covered the foundation walls, following the same procedure, but used 2” XPS 25 psi foam board as a cost saving solution.
Installing the Subfloor:
We then moved on to installed two layers of ¾” Advantech subfloor sheathing. The first layer of subflooring was installed perpendicular to the foam, taking care to stagger the ¾” Advantech and foam joint seams. We installed the tongue and groove plywood and ensured an 1/8-inch expansion gap at the butt ends.
Titebond subfloor adhesive was used to glue the first layer of Advantech plywood to the foam board. We used the larger 28oz tubes of glue and averaged approximately 2 sheets per tube.
Note – We recommend having a cordless caulk gun to assist in speeding up the process and save your forearm and grip strength.
The second layer or plywood was installed perpendicular to the first layer of plywood, again staggering our joints, and maintaining an1/8” expansion gap between subfloor sheets.
We then glued and screwed this second layer of plywood to the first layer, installing 1-3/4” screws every 6-inches to eliminate any squeaks between the subfloors.
After the subfloor system was installed, we installed our partition walls, and attached them directly to the sub-floor.
Conclusion:
The result was a strong and stiff subfloor without having to install sleepers that might loosen, squeak, or twist over time. The big win for us was achieving a thermal break with an R-10 insulation value and a continuous vapor barrier.

Website Review: aconcordcarpenter.com/levrack-mobile-workstation-review.html
Levrack, a prominent U.S. manufacturer specializing in high-end storage systems, generously provided me with their 30” x 55” mobile workstation for a comprehensive review.
As the proud owner of Levrack's industrial grade rolling shelf storage system, my expectations for the mobile workstation were naturally high.
First Impression
I can confidently say that I was not disappointed. The Levrack mobile workstation is an exceptionally sturdy and heavy-duty unit, impressing me with its robust design from the moment I laid eyes on it.
For those familiar with my channel, the importance of mobility in my workshop cannot be overstated. With limited space, having all woodworking tools and tables on casters allows me to store them efficiently against the wall or create an open center space as needed.
Moreover, a mobile workshop facilitates thorough cleaning, floor refinishing, and effortless rearrangement of the shop's floor plan for enhanced efficiency.
Specifications
Sturdy Frame
Constructed with solid steel interlocking parts, powder-coated in black, the entire system boasts durability. Featuring 4 side rails, 2 end rails, a wire decking shelf, and a heavy steel top, the Levrack mobile workstation stands out.
The table legs include a flat pad ¬¬with four holes for optional caster mounting or floor bolting. Each caster, with a 600 lb. capacity, is equipped with a locking brake and a grease fitting for maintenance.
Storage Shelf
The workstation includes adjustable-height rails, and a drop-in lower wire-decking shelf. With adjustable rails, it provides a maximum storage height of 20” with casters and 22” without casters. The side panel allows a 21” maximum height for sliding items from the side.
Floor Space Under Shelf
When assembled with casters, the shelf sits 10-1/2” off the floor in its lowest setting, offering additional floor storage or facilitating cleaning. The side panels feature fixed upper and lower support rails, providing different clearance heights.
The lower rail has a floor clearance of:
• 14-1/4” clearance height with casters installed.
• 8” clearance height without the casters.
Assembly
Assembly is a breeze, with no fasteners except for optional caster mounting. Keyholes in the side leg panels and tabs in the horizontal supports ensure a secure and sturdy attachment. The absence of fasteners makes disassembly and reassembly easy for storage, relocation, or transport.
Dimensions
Levrack offers a 4-foot model at 54 inches long and an 8-foot model at 102 inches long, both standing 42 inches tall. The workstation tops come in 30”, 36”, and 48” depth configurations.
Field Modifications | Altering Height | Adding A Vise
I customize all my shop tables to match my Delta Unisaw table height for versatility. Despite the Levrack workstation measuring 36-1/4” tall, with wheels adding 6-1/2” (42-3/4” total), I successfully adjusted it by cutting 8” off the side panel legs.
This modification eliminated the top horizontal, side support rod, which provides structural support to the table and assists it from racking. This table height moved the bottom shelf supports 8 inches closer to the workstation top and while the table doesn’t really wobble, my plan is to weld the support rods back on.
Future modifications will include welding metal plating and angle brackets for bolt-mounting a woodworking vise and possibly a metal vise.
Room For Improvement
While the Levrack mobile workstation is undeniably durable and
industrial grade, there's room for improvement. The shelf rails could be reduced in size to maximize storage space under the table, allowing users to gain more space, or potentially add an extra shelf.
The current size of the shelf rails, match the worktable supports and at 2-3/4” x 6” deep, limit front storage height. Narrowing them by 3 inches
could provide more flexibility in storage options.
With my field modification, after cutting 8-inches off the legs I now
only have 12” max storage height from the front. If that shelf rail were 3-inches narrower, I’d get 15-inches of storage height from the front of the table.
Cost
Priced at $1200, the reviewed mobile workstation may seem steep, but the investment is justified by the robust and reliable system it offers.
Overall Impression
In summary, the Levrack mobile workstation stands out as a U.S.-made, industrial-grade, heavy-duty worktable. Easy assembly, tool-free shelf adjustments, smooth rolling, secure locking casters – it's undoubtedly the most durable and robust workstation in my shop.

Battery and Adhesive Warming Box
Introducing the "Antarctica-Proof PACKOUT Warmer," a collaboration with Milwaukee Tool Corp., designed to ensure battery and cordless tool functionality in freezing temperatures. This PACKOUT warming box defies freezing temperatures, keeping batteries warm, and cordless tools operating at full capacity, regardless of the cold jobsite conditions. Your batteries will be warmer than a heated debate in a sauna! Okay, just kidding... Milwaukee, did NOT collab orate on this, and more than likely, doesn’t approve of this modification.
Why Make A Warming Box
Originating from the need to prevent the freezing of batteries, caulking, and glue during New England winters, this warming box is strategically installed in my van and regularly plugged in overnight.
This video will focus on my warming box, which features a silicone oil pan heating pad within a modified PACKOUT box wrapped with 1” rigid insulation. I chose to use my colossal tracksaw PACKOUT box because, let's face it, that track saw box was WAY too big for just the track saw, so why not make it into something more functional.
A warming box is basically an insulated box with a heat source to keep items warm. A few years back, while working on a large window job, I used a cheap Styrofoam cooler and a light bulb to keep our caulking flowing. It worked great but was not the best permanent solution.
Cold Temperatures and Batteries
A battery's job is to store and release energy. Cold temperatures increase the internal resistance of a battery, lowering its capacity. When stored in cold temperatures, batteries can't release as much energy or retain a charge, necessitating frequent winter charging.
Considering that lithium-ion deep cycle batteries have a lifespan limited to 3,000 to 5,000 cycles, you may want to keep your batteries warm, and protect your investment.
Optimal Battery Storage
Manufacturers recommend storing batteries in a cool, dry environment (50°F to 77°F) to prevent deep discharges and recommend avoiding charging in extremely cold conditions, as this can lead to lithium plating on the battery anode, which is detrimental to the battery's health.
My Milwaukee lithium-ion battery packs are engineered for sub-freezing temperatures, but when the battery pack is too cold, it needs to warm up before normal use. Milwaukee recommends putting the battery on a tool and using the tool in a light application. It may "buzz" for a short time until it warms up. When the buzzing stops, use the tool normally.
Building the PACKOUT Warming Box
My warming box is powered by a 4” x 5” silicone oil pan heating pad and is seamlessly integrated into the van's power strip, consistently plugged in nightly from 4 pm to 7 am.
The heating pad comes with a 68” power cord length and operates at a temperature range: 140~158°F. After installing 1” ridged insulation on all sides of the PACKOUT box and the lid top, I used the self-adhering feature on the heating pad to mount it onto a ceramic tile, which was foil-taped to the bottom of the PACKOUT box. The tile was used to separate the heating pad from the insulation.
I used two L-shaped mending plates as a stand-off mechanism to create space between the heating element and box contents.
A hole was drilled in the bottom side of the box for the power cord, and I sealed the hole with foil tape. I then fabricated a vertical plywood mounting plate with Stealth mount battery clips to hold my batteries. In between the battery clips, I store glue and caulking tubes.
Testing the Box Temperatures
After deploying the Packout warming box in my van overnight I tested it with an infrared temp-gun. Outside temperature was 37 degrees and the inside of the warming box was a consistent 60. When I shot the infrared dot to the bottom of the box, I got a 71-degrees at the metal plate.
I tested the box 5 more times over the next several weeks and received consistent results. The contents of the box stayed at 60 degrees.
Final Thoughts
For years, I would bring my caulking in and out or leave it on my dashboard heater and leave the truck running. In conclusion, I needed a permanent, reliable solution for cold weather challenges. While acknowledging various job site hacks, this PACKOUT warming box provides me with a consistent, reliable approach to combat the adverse effects of freezing temperatures.
I hope this helps you out as well!

Article: toolboxbuzz.com/cordless-tools/nailerstapler/ridgid-18v-23ga-cordless-headless-pin-nailer-review
Specifications
• Battery Voltage – 18V
• Nailing Capacity – 1/2″ – 1-3/8″
• 1875 Shots per Charge of 2.0Ah Battery
• Bright LED Light
• Lifetime Service Agreement
• 3.3Lbs
Depth of Drive Setting
The Ridgid R09898B has a large depth of drive adjustment knob located on the right side of the nailer, just under the top plate. It is large and has an aggressively gnarled wheel for easy adjustments.
Pin Nailer | Nail Capacity
The Ridgid R09898B has a nailing capacity of 1/2″ to 1-3/8″.
LED Light
The Ridgid R09898B has a nice, bright LED light with a unique position. The LED is angled up at a 45° angle allowing for illumination of the general fastening area.
No Mar Tip
The R09898B comes with two orange hard plastic no mar tips. Non-mar contact tips are a nice feature on nailers if they don’t obscure your line of sight. The tip is securely held in place, (it is hard to remove) which we like because it’s more likely to stay in place over time.
The reserve tip is clipped on the rear of the magazine.
Trigger
The Ridgid has a traditional-style double trigger system.
We used the Ridgid pin nailer to build a custom fireplace mantle with all mitered edges. On the same project, we used the R09898B Pin nailer to secure thin outside corner trim over our shiplap wall covering.
The trim was pre-painted, and the pin nailer was the perfect tool for leaving tiny, unobtrusive holes, requiring a small amount of touch-up paint.
Nail Penetration | Depth of Drive
We conducted a nail penetration test on what we feel are the most popular species of trim remodeling contractors use in the field.
• Poplar
• Red Oak
• Soft Maple
• Pre-painted Maple cabinet trim
• Poplar molding and small trim parts
Poplar
On our Poplar test we had to set the nailer to almost MAX depth setting. At that setting the pin nails that were fired were set perfectly just below the wood.
Red Oak
Our 3/4″ Red Oak test was done with the nailer set to MAX depth setting and almost all the pin nails were proud of the wood. When we applied “light” pressure to the nailer, the nails were driven flush, and when added more pressure, they sank just below the wood grain with many leaving firing pin marks. For comparison we used a pneumatic pin nailer in the Red Oak and easily set all the pins below the surface. In this hardwood scenario the cordless pin nailer couldn’t produce as much power as the pneumatic pin nailer.
Pre-Painted Maple Cabinet Trim
We took some Maple cabinet trim we had from a previous remodel and cut 45° miters to test fastening in pre-painted material. This is a practical, in the field, installation carpenters encounter on almost every remodel. This test showed inconstant depth settings, when pressure to the tool was applied fastener setting improved but often left a firing pin mark. More on this when we discuss room for improvement.
Dry-Fire Lockout
When the magazine has 0-10 nails left, the dry-fire lock-out mechanism prevents you from firing any nails. When the last nail is utilized, and the LED light will flash rapidly to alert you to reload fasteners.
Room For Improvement
In our testing the cordless pin nailer struggled with hardwood trim applications. After several discussions with the team at Ridgid we discovered that part of the issue is the 2.0 Ah battery pack that was sent to us for testing.
This tool is sold as a bare tool or as a kit with a 2.0 Ah battery. Engineers for Ridgid pointed out that this tool performs much better in hardwood applications with a larger MAX Output 4.0 Ah battery pack.
This does make sense as we've seen much better performance on higher demand applications using larger density packs, not only with Ridgid tools but with all brands.
So, users that want to use this cordless pin nailer for hardwood applications should use a larger 4.0 Ah battery pack for the best performance and power.
Price
The Ridgid pin nailer sells as a bare tool for $219.00 and can be purchased at Home Depot here:
Closing Thoughts
By adding the 18v cordless pin nailer to their arsenal, Ridgid now has a complete lineup of cordless nailers. The Ridgid R09898 18v cordless pin nailer shined on the Poplar and Pine we tested on. It struggled more as the wood species got harder like the Red Oak and Maple. For these harder types of wood species, users should be sure to use a larger 4.0 Ah battery pack for maximum performance.
In the world of pin nailers, the Ridgid R09898B sits well for carpenters, serious enthusiasts and DIYers. If you currently operate on the Ridgid 18v battery platform this nailer is something you want to have to round out your nailer arsenal.

READ ARTRICLE HERE: aconcordcarpenter.com/yeedi-robot-vacuum-2-years-later.html
Two years ago, we did a product review on the Yeedi robot vacuum. At that time, I was replacing an older iRobot Roomba and opted to try out the lesser expensive Yeedi vacuum. based on the price and lack of knowledge of the Yeedi brand, I had this vacuum lasting may be a year. Man was I wrong, and two years later, this Yeedi is still cleaning my house once a day.
I’m going to discuss what works well, what doesn’t work so well, what I like, what I dislike about this Yeedi robot vacuum. So, first things first, what I like about this robot:
Setup
Setup was straightforward and took 5 minutes to do. After installing the app on my iPhone, I followed the on-screen directions to setup a recurring cleaning procedure. I programmed it auto clean every morning at 5am. and it has been doing that every day for 2 years.
During the very 1st cleaning the YEEDI goes through the house and maps it. In addition to scheduling your cleaning, the Ap allows you to specify which areas of your house to clean. You can specify the areas you want to be covered or mark areas to avoid.
Learning the Terrain
It took me about a month to learn out all the places the YEEDI got hung up and stuck on. I have 2 coffee tables with metal tube bases that the Yeedi would ride up and over and get stuck on, teetering line a seesaw. I also have a rug that I did not want the vacuum on. To avoid this area, I went into the ap and blocked the areas off, by creating a bubble or square around the cordoned off areas. Now the Yeedi cleans around and avoids those areas and threats the boundary line kind of like an invisible wall. The result is it does not get stuck anymore and completes the cleaning uninterrupted.
Overall, this purchase has resulted in a 2-year daily, efficient, and effective auto-scheduled vacuum cleaning. My house is way cleaner then compared to when I vacuumed only once per week.
Maintenance
About maintenance, the Ap also alerts you when the filter, brush or roller is worn, and needs replacing, it’s based off hours of runtime. When this occurs, the Ap brings you right to an online shopping cart, I chose to use amazon to purchase my filters and components in bulk.
While we’re on the topic of accessory replacement, I found that I can extend the life of my filter by vacuuming it and blowing it off with compressed air every other week.
Runtime
The built-in battery provides 110 minutes of non-stop cleaning on a single charge, my house takes approximately 90 minutes to clean. When the battery gets low the YEEDI automatically returns to the charging dock for recharge and resumes cleaning once charged, right where it left off. So far, the battery charge continues to complete cleaning my house on one charge. Charging time for the Yeedi is 4 Hours.
Obstacles
The Yeedi used a 3D obstacle avoidance technology, you can see the vacuum slow down as it approached objects. It also recognizes stair drop offs and completely avoids them. When cleaning the vacuum operates in what I ‘d describe as a “corn row pattern” of cleaning.
Over the last 2 years, I’ve found the Yeedi vac to be effective at cleaning, especially in a house with a shedding dog. Every day I remove a fistful of dog hair, dust, fibers, and debris from the vac canister. Emptying the YEEDI is not a favorite choor3 and once that must be remembered to have the Yeedi be effective the next day. The emptying process is quick, and only requires you to remove a canister, press a button and flip open a lid cover. The dust bin has a 450 ml capacity and could benefit from a larger design.
Other Features
The Yeedi vacuum also has a mop feature with an attachment and onboard reservoir. I found that the mopping feature left streaks on my hardwood floors and opted to not use it after a few weeks.
Another issue I have with the vacuum is the noise. While it’s not super loud if does create a steady noise that I wish were quieter. The vac gets even louder when the Ultrasonic Carpet Sensor kicks in when the carpet is detected and instantly increases the suction force to capture dirt within the carpet fibers.
The last item that I’m not super excited about is that I must remember to empty the Yeedi dust canister daily, as it fills completely in one cleaning. I’d prefer a larger canister, or better yet, a vacuum that offers an auto emptying function with a 30-day capacity. Wouldn’t that be nice!
Price
This vacuum was recently selling for $299.00 and I saw if most recently on sale at Amazon for $150 here: Yeedi Robotic Vacuum
Conclusion
To conclude, I’m super happy with the performance of the Yeedi vacuum, it outlasted my expectation and is still cleaning strong. It was then, and is still now, a worthwhile purchase. This Yeedi vac has saved me a lot of time and is very effective at cleaning dog hair. It’s a win in my family!

CyberTank
The Kress CyberSystem has an unprecedented 8-minute charging time from 0 to 100% battery when using its DC-DC CyberTank charger.
The 8-minute charging claim is made with the CyberTank operating in “flash charging” or booster mode. Otherwise, the standard charging rate is 14 minutes for up to three batteries in any combination.
Flash charging is only available in charging port 1, and only when the CyberTank is above 20% charge.
The CyberTank is essentially a 400 lbs massive battery and charger that is designed to be mounted in a truck or trailer.
It has 5040 Wh or 7200 Wh depending on model, and can quickly charge the smaller 4.0Ah or 11.0Ah multiple times throughout the day.
The DC-DC charging is extremely efficient and fast as the energy requires no conversion and a large amount of power can be transferred from one battery to another quickly.
The CyberTank plugs into an AC power source, presumably overnight, and is recharged in 4 to 5 hours, depending on which size model you have. The CyberTank must be plugged into 100-240V AC and draws up to 15A current max, or 1800W.
Kress also has an AC-DC charging solution with their KAC840 Kress Commercial 30A AC Charger.
We tested this unit with our tools.
Rapid charging is typically not great for the long-term health of a battery. Despite this, Kress guarantees 3000 life cycles (charge and discharge) on the CyberPack batteries. That’s impressive as well!
This rapid 8-minute charge time means pro landscaping crews have a solution to rapidly swap batteries throughout the day and stay on top of productivity similar to a gas-powered platform.
2 CyberTank sizes
There are two CyberTank sizes – a 5 kWh unit [cost $ 10,499.00], and a 7.2 kWh unit [13,999.99]
CyberPack Batteries
The 60 V commercial platform has two battery sizes, the 4Ah and 11Ah. These batteries have LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry and are 240 Wh and 660 Wh charge capacities, respectively.
The CyberPack Batteries are heavy, the 11Ah battery is 17 pounds by itself. Many OPE manufacturers have challenging engineering problems with trying to incorporate enough battery power to compete with gas powered tools and keep the overall tool weight down.
Oftentimes thinner materials are used, and plastic pieces can feel flimsy and delicate. Kress clearly decided to “take-the-hit” on weight in exchange for quality and durability.
For example:
The 60V 35N Backpack Blower has thick and durable components from the frame down to the tip of the metal reinforced blower nozzle but weighs in at 32.2 lbs.
To compensate for the extra weight, the blower incorporates a very well-designed and supportive harness..
The CyberSystem Tools. Kress currently makes six 60-volt CyberSystem tools:
1. 21” Lawn mower
2. Backpack blower
3. 16” Chainsaw
4. Edger
5. 16.5” Grass Trimmer
6. Hedge Trimmer
Notable Features on the tools we reviewed:
Chainsaw:
The chainsaw has excellent cutting performance, and is fast to rev up to full power, but also sounds smoother than most saws we’ve used. There is a noticeable difference in the tone the motor makes. It sounds smooth and refined.
During our testing process, we used the Kress saw on a variety of hardwood trees with different diameters. The largest piece of wood I cut was an approximately 24″ diameter ash log that required a cut from each side to completely sever.
The Kress handled this task without any issues.
The chainsaw cost $349.99 as a bare tool.
Blower:
The Kress Commercial 60 V Backpack Blower is rated with 35 Newtons of blowing force at 890n CFM, the most powerful electric blower on the market. In fact its blower force is only topped by 2 largest and loudest heavy duty gas powered models.
The Blower shower amazingly consistent performance over the course of the battery drain, running at full speed at its highest power setting for over 13 minutes with the 11 Ah Battery. Important to note thats 4 minutes longer than the charging time of 8 minutes!
The blower standalone tool is currently priced at $499.99
Mower:
The self-propelled wheels on this mower will literally tow you around the yard and likely pull a small car uphill. It’s hard to quantify the power of this mower in an effective way, but we’d put it up against any gas powered mower under any testing situation.
The mower costs $799.00 as a bare tool.
Line Trimmer:
The Kress line trimmer has been designed with professional landscapers and maintenance crews in mind. The commercial brushless motor delivers 1.2kW of power which is equivalent to a 30cc 2-stroke gas powered trimmer. The trimmer motor can be adjusted with 3 speed settings to maximize power and run-time depending on the application.
It’s well built and comparable to any other professional trimmer we’ve used.
The trimmer costs $ 349.99

ARTICLE: toolboxbuzz.com/cordless-tools/router/milwaukee-%c2%bd-cordless-router-review
For me, the most exciting feature about this router is that its more powerful than a trim router, boasting 2-1/4 HP, and it allows for either a ¼” or ½” collet. The higher 2-1/4 horsepower and larger 1/2-inch shank are better suited for heavy-duty routing jobs with larger bits. Additionally, I prefer using ½” router bits because they resist deflection better than a 1/4-inch shank bits. Larger shank router bits are especially important when using a long bit, which is subject to greater deflection, and when using a piloted bit, with a bearing.
First Impression
At first glance this router appears to be well made, with a robust aluminum housing, well placed controls, levers, and smart rubber over-mold. It’s plunge mechanism and adjustments feel solid, buts lets break this router kit down further and discuss it in detail.
Features
• 2.25 peak horsepower

The gravity-fed tank’s design eliminates the problem of wasted fluid. The left and right sides of the tank are sloped. Fluid is then channeled into the lowest point of the sprayers feed, by gravity.
Fluid Level Indicators
The tank is translucent allowing users to see the fluid level in the tank. There are two fluid level
indicator scales on the tank.
On the left side, is a 1 to 4 Gallon scale and the left side has a metric scale with 5, 10, and 15L markings.
We felt that maybe highlighting the numbers would make these markings easier to see.
Speed Control Knob
A speed control, located on the lower left side of the sprayer adjusts the rate of spray. This variable speed control can adjusts the PSI. from 0 to 90
Auto Lock Trigger
The sprayer has a yellow trigger lock switch located on the trigger handle allowing for a constant stream if desired.
Backpack Straps
A comfortable backpack design with pads, adjustable shoulder straps and chest buckle have multiple points of adjustment to achieve a comfortable user experience.
Run-Time
RYOBI claims that you can spray 200 gallons per charge on a 2.0Ah battery. During our testing and evaluation, we sprayed 50+ gallons of pesticide and herbicide.
We also sprayed roughly 20+ gallons of water through the tank, cleaning it, between uses. We did not notice any decrease in power throughout our spraying and the indicator light on the battery was at 2 bars.
Overall Impressions
One of the major benefits of cordless sprayers is the ability to avoid manual hand-pumping. Having to pump to build up the pressure to spray is tiresome, especially if you have a large amount of spraying to do.
Whether you are a simple DIY homeowner or a professional landscaper, the RYOBI Cordless Backpack Sprayer is one of those pieces of equipment that just makes sense to have.
If you are on the RYOBI 40v platform then it is definitely worth the purchase. Sold in a kit for $219.00.
As general contractors, we receive requests for a wide variety of tasks. This RYOBI 40v 4-gallon cordless backpack sprayer will allow you to efficiently spray a variety of products.
