This is definitely my biggest project to date, with around 1k unique frames and taking over 8 months to complete, so I wanted to make sure people could still view it after all of that. This is also a great opportunity for me to officially announce that a comic is in the works for these guys! It's called: Birds of a Feather and features Finchpaw, Wrenpaw, and Hawkpaw's stories as they train to become warriors. Goodbye || WIP Calico 2021-06-13 | I was gonna just make a community post but I thought I might as well make a video! And before anyone asks, no, I'm not leaving, that's just the song name lolI've been thinking a lot about why I've been so burnt out for the past few months, and I realized that it's probably because my standards are a lot higher than they used to be. Now I'm always trying to make every animation as high quality (using this phrase very lightly lol) as Oh Ana or Heather, which is a good thing when it comes to commissions and professional work, but obviously has led to me burning out when putting that much effort into every single one of my animations for the last year or so. I haven't had a chance to make something like El Scorcho again, where I literally just made it because it was fun, with absolutely no cares about how good it looked. But now that I've stepped back from AMV commissions and have a bit of free time until my first semester of college, I'm gonna start working on some personal projects with that same kind of mindset! Probably the same way I made Nothing Left To Lose, but hopefully more clean and with more animation cause I've got some fun shots planned with this one specifically :DJust angsty brown cat doin angsty brown cat things. Animation + WIP Dump Calico 2020-11-26 | I've been recovering from uhhh yeah that,,, so haven't had a chance to animate for a bit. But the two weeks spent on the couch gave me plenty of time to edit some old/unfinished animations together! I've only ever drawn Memento/Mori as anime humans, but now I kinda wanna draw them cartoon styleThat won't happen anytime soon though because I have school and am babysitting my younger siblings for the next 2-3, maybe 6 weeks? Finally//Beautiful Stranger {Storyboard} Calico 2020-09-15 | So,,, soft,,It's supposed to be like El Scorcho (But from Memento's POV rather than Mori's) so I figured I'd upload the storyboard for this one as well! Potential Warriors MAP Ideas Calico 2020-08-21 | Razmerry ( youtube.com/channel/UCfHdVAfAUY2k4ErqYvQro9A ) started this trend a little while ago, so I figured I'd hop on board and share some ideas for Warriors MAPs that I've either had sitting on a shelf for 2 years or just came up with this week!And just to be clear, NO these are not up for grabs. (Or right before, it depends)Info for each MAP:-Through It All (Tangled: the series) - Veil of Shadows/Bristlefrost[I know Veil of Shadows had mixed reviews, and I agree that overall the book kinda sucked, but I really enjoyed the codebreaker gatherings! Those were probably my favorite parts! This would be a MAP about Bristlefrost (With the help of Squirrelflight and Tigerheartstar) trying to raise the cats' spirits and keep everyone on the same side while they're arguing about when to attack and whether or not to kill the Imposter and all that jazz. Overall it should be a very lighthearted and fun AMV MAP with a loose script!]-Son of Man (Tarzan, Rock cover by Jonathan Young) - Kittypets[This would be an unscripted MAP about the kittypets in the Warriors universe! Pretty self-explanatory, just cats like Rusty/Firestar, Red/Russetfur, Jake, Almost any Skyclan cat, etc, who chose to join the clans or played a major role in them!]-Space Ghost Coast to Coast (Glass Animals) - Mothwing, Tadpole, & Hawkfrost[I really really like Dreamland, and I also really like the thought of Tadpole floating around the Dark Forest yelling at his brother. This would take place right after Hawk arrives in the Dark Forest and when his body is brought back to Riverclan(So kind of a sequel to Showtime too!). Long story short, Mothwing is in Riverclan, reminiscing about their lives growing up, while Tadpole is straight up demolishing him to his face. Should be fun! I'm hesitant to do this one so soon after my other Hawkfrost MAP, but if it ends up winning the poll then I don't have a problem with it! It's moreso focused on Tadpole and Mothwing anyways.]-Jimmy (Tones and I) - Beetlewhiker & Antpelt[A couple of vastly underrepresented lads! Content for these two (Beetle especially) is few and far between, so when I heard this song I knew I had to do something with them! This would focus on Beetle and Ant's lives outside of the Dark Forest, and how their sudden, unexplained deaths impacted not only the other trainees, but their friends and family in the clans, mostly Icewing and Breezepelt.]-Everything You Ever (Dr.Horrible's Sing Along Blog) - Clear Sky[This song hhhhng, it fits Clear Sky. His journey to the forest territories, losing Bright Stream, setting up camp, losing Storm, growing more and more power hungry, losing Gray Wing, basically just everything Clear Sky does in the first 3 books of DotC goes well here. Also there are plenty of Gray Wing/ Gray Wing & Clear Sky MAPs, but not too many that focus soley on Clear Sky's arc!] Forgot this call art in the thumbnail :( -Mother We Share (CHVRCHES) - Goosefeather and Moonflower[This has been on my mind probably the longest, and I have the MAP Call completely finished, I just need to finish the script and it should be good to go! Pacific Love {Mini Warriors OC AMV} Calico 2020-08-14 | This is a little mini AMV I made as a follow up to It's Called: Freefall! She figures out he really killed Orange cat and attacks him, which is where she gets her ear scar, and he's about to kill her when Blue cat(Mori) comes out of nowhere and attacks him. Everyone thinks he died and so they left, but he actually didn't and just stayed in the abandoned mansion with all of the ghosts for a few years. I'm still working on what's gonna happen after this, but that's the pretty much the whole story! Nothing Left To Lose {Warriors Animation} Calico 2020-07-03 | If you haven't seen my community post, I've been watching Tangled: The Series a lot and I really like this song and started an animation with it as soon as I heard it, which was just like, a week ago but stillMy first thought after hearing it was Ivypool, but I didn't wanna do Ivypool/Dovewing so I was thinking Ivypool/Birchfall but then I sketched out a few frames and Lionblaze/Hollyleaf popped into my head. That's how this happened. I figured this could be a prequel kinda thing to my 'Let's Only Think About Love' animatic and this was perfect timing cause that turns 2 in like, a week. Lionblaze is my favorite Warrior cat if anyone was wondering. Its Called: Freefall {Warriors OC AMV} Calico 2020-05-01 | Heya guys! I know I said I was taking a break due to COPPA but it was actually mostly because I wanted to have an excuse to work on this, buuuut it's finished now so I'm back in the game! It's been... 5 months?? I haven't done a MAP part in forever and I am really excited to start doing those again!!This is a project I started as soon as I finished my last AMV {El Scorcho} and it is a HUGE deal to me, I love the characters, I love the song+band, I love the animations, aaa this thing makes me so proud. Speaking of El Scorcho, that had less than 500 unique frames, most of which weren't even part of an actual, moving animation, and the song was 4 minutes long. ICF has ONE THOUSAND FRAMES and nearly 5X as much actual animation!!! It's a lot and I'm super happy with it!!The story will be in the pinned comment if you're interested!!
