Powering with a battery: The site says that the SC1000 mk2 requires 5 volts and 2 amps. Technically it will play with this power spec, however the platter will sometimes skip. I've been using a power source that is 5 volts and 3 amp with fantastic results. Some fast charging portable batteries do have 3 amp USB-A ports.
