Discussion Warmed by thermal springs and choked by algae-covered lakes, this sweltering swamp is home to terrifying predators, giant insects, and a primitive race of reptilian humanoids known as the Bakali. The Blackwater Glade was formed when the Cataclysm caused the lower tip of Southern Hosk to sink, creating an immense drainage basin. Fed by rivers flowing out of Thenol and warmed by thermal springs from the Steamwall mountains, the swamp is a maze of reed-choked channels and moss-hung giant cypress trees. The environment itself is an enemy; the air reeks of disease, and explorers are routinely wracked by lifelong fevers and painful spasms. Massive insects buzz through the boughs, hunted by giant spiders spinning moss-disguised webs, while enormous frogs and toads strike from the shadows. Men do not live deep within the Glade, but a close-knit group of fiercely independent human loners known as the "Swampers" make a living along its edges. Navigating the twisting flows in flat-bottomed boats, they hunt alligators, giant toads, and swamp cats. While they technically fall under the rule of Thenol, they pay no taxes and refuse to be drafted into military service. Instead, they strike a bargain with the Thenolite government: they act as border scouts, keeping a watchful eye on the true rulers of the deep country—the Bakali. Deep within the unexplored channels live the Bakali, powerful humanoid lizards standing seven to eight feet tall. Covered in thick, spiny, alligator-like leather ranging in shades of green, brown, and yellow, they possess perfect natural camouflage. They have webbed, taloned hands, large lidless eyes, and powerful lizard-like snouts. Today, the Bakali live as a primitive, culturally undeveloped race. They have no concept of family; females lay eggs in communal village nesting grounds, leaving the young to fend for themselves. The weak starve while the strong survive by fighting for food thrown to them by elders. To earn full acceptance into the tribe, a young Bakali must hunt and kill a bull alligator completely unassisted. Their villages, surrounded by flimsy palisades of woven reeds and bones, feature dug-out mud huts or riverbank tunnels where their sleeping chambers sit half-submerged below the water line. Because stone and metal are virtually non-existent in the Glade, they fight with fire-hardened wooden spears, bone daggers, and nets. They are ferocious cold-blooded warriors, but sluggish at night and bound to their life-giving waters. Recognizing their raw power, the Thenolite army eagerly recruits them, utilizing their unique amphibious abilities to breach watery defenses and cross rivers during military campaigns. While the Bakali appear to be simple savages, the deep interior of Blackwater Glade holds secrets that completely rewrite their history...

From mountain clans obsessed with stacking severed heads to nomadic plain-runners who hunt gnomes as a culinary delicacy, survival here is a brutal blood sport.

Transcript Surviving on a diet of poached gnomes and toxic mountain moss, the merciless war-tribes of Eastern Taladas are the ultimate high-stakes survival nightmare. In the volcanic Steamwall range, the rain is literally corrosive. Here, the hobgoblins are skeletal and scrawny, building stilted houses and lining the walls with the severed skulls of their enemies to honor their ancestors. To the east lies Old Aurim, a shattered dust-bowl. While the lizard-like Traag—Takhisis's failed proto-draconian experiments—rule the stone ruins, the open plains belong to a far more savage breed of nomadic hobgoblin. These plain-runners have no concept of family and wear scrounged armor. On the battlefield, they use bizarre, suicidal tactics: they refuse to use feints or flanking, marching openly and loudly straight into enemy lines just to prove they don't fear death. Yet, treasure hunters still brave this wasteland, lured by the myth of the Field of Dragons—a hidden valley buried completely beneath mountains of ancient bone and gem-encrusted scales. A brutal playground of bone armor and blood feuds. From the toxic, warped volcanic slopes of the Steamwall to the skeletal ruins of Old Aurim and the misty cliffs of the Rainward Isles, we explore the brutal survival of Krynn's most merciless civilizations. Discover how the scrawny, ancestor-worshiping hobgoblins of the mountains compare to the heavily armored, nomadic war-tribes of the plains. Transcript Surviving on a diet of poached gnomes and toxic mountain moss, the merciless, scrawny war-tribes of Eastern Taladas have turned the ashen ruins of a fallen human empire into a feral playground of bone armor and blood feuds. Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga episode. My name is Adam, and today we are deep-diving into the ecology of the volcanic Steamwall, the apocalyptic dust-bowl of Old Aurim, and the misty refuge of the Rainward Isles. I'd like to take a moment and thank the DLSaga members and Patreon patrons, and invite you to consider becoming a member or patron — you can even pick up Dragonlance media or get $10 by signing up to StartPlaying.Games using my affiliate links. I'm referencing the Time of the Dragon boxed set for this information. If I leave anything out or misspeak, please leave a comment below. Discussion To understand the sheer hostility of Eastern Taladas, we must first look at the Steamwall. This massive volcanic mountain range completely blocks Southern Hosk from the east. For humans or elves, it is an uninhabitable nightmare. Corrosive steam rolls up from the Indanalis Sea, mixing with the ash and sulfuric gas of active volcanoes to create a toxic, perpetual rain that erodes the lifeless rock. Black, poisonous streams rush down the peaks past boiling mud pots, forming rivers where the banks are entirely dead except for eerie clumps of red and gold moss.
As these waters flow down the lower slopes, they warp the very rules of nature. Mighty oaks become gnarled and tortured. Animals—from squirrels to giant bears—develop ulcerous skin patches and bizarre physical deformities. Their temperaments shift drastically: the meek become aggressive, and the aggressive become vicious. By the time these brackish, sour rivers reach the foothills, the poisons dilute enough to be non-lethal, but the land remains a breeding ground for fearsome monsters. Yet, among the beasts, three intelligent races struggle to survive: the beleaguered Traldor Dwarves, the hardened Marak Kender, and the true masters of the muck—the Steamwall Hobgoblins.
Unlike their burly cousins elsewhere on Krynn, the Steamwall hobgoblins are scrawny, skeletal fellows with loose, deep red-brown skin hanging off their frames and large, bloodshot eyes. Standing six feet tall, the males wear nothing but a loincloth, and both sexes deck themselves out in macabre ornaments: teeth, fingers, and toes harvested from their victims, mixed with bright cloth and feathers.
Because earthquakes routinely collapse the mountain caves, these hobgoblins build drafty longhouses on stilts to escape predatory vermin. These flimsily thatched roofs offer miserable protection from the freezing winter rains, and entire clans frequently burn their own homes down by carelessly building indoor fires just to stay warm.
What truly defines this culture is their obsession with death. When a hobgoblin dies, their skull is cleaned entirely by captive nests of flesh-eating ants and placed into a dedicated niche on the front wall of the longhouse. Taking heads is the ultimate metric of valor. Tribes frequently raid the nearby Marak kender and Traldor dwarves to bring back enemy heads, stacking them in gruesome pyramids outside their doors to face their ancestors...How to Break D&D 2024 to Play Dragonlance! #ShortsDragonLance Saga2026-07-11 | Think you can’t play a classic, story-driven Dragonlance campaign with the new Dungeons & Dragons 2024 rules? About The Lake of Death The latest title in a series based on characters from the best-selling War of Souls trilogy.
This title is the next in a series that explores the lives of key characters from Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman's New York Times best-selling War of Souls trilogy. The Lake of Death describes events that directly overlap events during the War of Souls and is an unofficial sequel to Rabe's Dhamon Saga trilogy. Author Jean Rabe is well known by both recent and long-term Dragonlance novel fans.
Review Welcome to another DragonLance Saga review episode. It is Bakukal, Fierswelt the 10th. My name is Adam and today I am going to give you my review of The Lake of Death by Jean Rabe. I would like to take a moment and thank the DLSaga members and Patreon patrons, and invite you to consider becoming a member or patron. You can even pick up Dragonlance media or get $10 by signing up to StartPlaying.Games using my affiliate links. This is my perspective only, and if you have any thoughts or disagree with mine, I invite you to share them in YouTube chat. Review The story begins with Dhamon-Dragon fighting Bakali, and destroying them. He meets up with the wingless sivak draconian Ragh who is staying with him in his now dragon lair in Sables swamps. Apparently Sable has been sending out Dark Knight and Bakali troops to find and kill Dhamon-Dragon. Not wanting him staying in its territory. Dhamon-Dragon has been hoarding wealth. Ragh wants to leave but Dhamon refuses. He spends some time with a crystal ball, much to Ragh’s frustration, as he never communicated what he asks or learns from it. It’s not clear if it’s the same one from the trilogy or if it’s a new one.
Then we cut to the Kagonesti elf Feril from Dragons of a new Age trilogy. She helped Dhamon when he was a human and they kinda liked each other back then. Since then Dhamon has clearly changed, so the connection won’t be there anymore. She is spending her time getting her tattoos removed and hunting remnant Dark Knights in Qualinesti. She finishes with a squad as Dhamon-Dragon and Ragh approach. She doesn't know who they are initially, but eventually sees something in the dragon's eyes that is familiar.
They end up greeting one another and explaining Dhamon-Dragon’s current predicament. They left their lair to come here to Qualinesti to find her. Apparently he believes Feril can help him become human again. He tells her that he divined that something in the lake of Death, the Nalis-Aren that was once Qualinost, can help him become human again. Feral agrees to help and they travel to the lake. Feral is a skilled sorcerer so she dives into the lake breathing the water to search for some magic. She encounters ghosts that try to capture her, sees Beryl’s magically intact corpse, then finds a ghost named Obelia that helps her keep warm in the magically freezing water. He promises to help as he is clearly bored to death in the sunken Qualinost. He leads her to a dead sorcerer named Kalilname who studied dragons in life. He believes a scale turned him into a dragon, so a dragon overlords scale may be used to change him back.
Sable is content that Dhamon-Dragon is out of its swamp, and Dhamon and Ragh are impatiently waiting for Feril who has been gone for quite a long time. She heads off to take a scale from Beryl and is confronted with a whole host of cursed undead, the elves and dark knights who must protect Beryl and destroy any who would defile her. They begin attacking Feril who flees, finally arriving at the surface to an impatiently waiting Dhamon-dragon and Ragh.
Dhamon decides to go with Feril under the lake as her shadow and Ragn, unhappily waits up top...AD&D - DL2 Dragons of Flame Actual Play, Session 7 | DragonLance SagaDragonLance Saga2026-07-10 | Join DLSaga and players with their seventh actual play session of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Dragonlance Official Game Adventure DL2 Dragons of Flame by Douglas Niles. About DL2 Dragons of Flame The dragonmen have taken Solace. Its beautiful tree houses lie black and battered amid the stumps of great vallenwood trees. Kapak Draconians, armed with poisoned weapons, enforce a brutal martial law on the survivors.
And Solace is only one outpost: the dragon armies control the plains. Only the elven kingdom of Qualinesti stands unconquered. The rest of the plainsmen suffer the most: a long slave caravan hauls hundreds of them to the fortress prison of Pax Tharkas.
"Dragons of Flame" is the second in TSR's series of Dragonlance adventures for use with the AD&D game system. Your players will adventure in the world of Krynn and visit strange places such as Qualinost or the Sla-Mori, encountering bizarre draconians and disgusting Aghar. Transcript Hanging in the Balance By Chris Androu The hero’s lifeless body dangled from the Vallenwood sapling, rocking back and forth in the wind. Such is the state of the world right now, Weston thought, as the fate of the free people of Ansalon also hung in the balance. Weston stared hopelessly at the body of the knight Theos Dawnbringer as Theos’ squire Fidel and the five assembled ambassadors representing the allied races stood in shock. Despite the translucent magical shield covering the courtyard, the cold early morning air and wind passed through unabated and echoed the chill in Weston’s heart. He gazed at the magical dome above them; it was supposed to have protected them from the evils of the outside world. These were dark times where dragon looking men could change shape and dark magic users could cast illusions at whim. But now the shield seemed to Weston to be like one of his bread warmers, trapping the heat inside below without respite. Weston, a middle-aged cook and caretaker of the Knights of Solamnia, had a portly belly and a notable sweet tooth, so his thoughts would often coalesce into metaphors about baked goods. He’d spent many years behind the stove, far removed from the field of battle, yet in this troubled world, danger was never far away. The squire Fidel locked eyes with him. Weston had known Fidel for several years, but they’d become closer over the past few weeks during the preparations for the signing of the treaty to formalize the Whitestone Alliance. Fidel, a tall lanky young man in his late teenage years, and Weston shared an unspoken realization – they were standing next to a murderer. Fidel spoke to the assembled group, mustering up the courage to speak with yet unearned authority, “You know the situation as well as I do. Par Salian enacted this magical barrier around us as a boon to Lord Gunthar for one week only to allow you diplomats to formalize our alliance and iron out the details before your leaders arrive to officially sign the treaty. That means no outside influence or creature could have penetrated the barrier to carry out this deplorable act. It’s been a year since the fall of Neraka but the remaining forces of Takhisis are strong. If they win, everything we’ve fought for these past few years will have been for nothing!” Fidel shouted that last part for emphasis. Weston nodded solemnly, but it was the Mountain Dwarf diplomat Dirge Lodestone who spoke up next, “Aye laddy, I understand. Let me help you hold his body while you cut the rope.” “No!” yelled Fidel. “There’ll be no one touching his body. I can’t have anyone tampering with evidence.” Dirge Lodestone was especially stubborn, even for a dwarf, yet he was chosen by Glade Hornfel of Thorbardin as their ambassador because he was good at reading others. “So be it,” Dirge replied. “But Theos Dawnbringer was a powerful man, almost as tall and strong as the great Caramon Majere. Why don’t you get your friend Weston to help...DM201 Advanced Skills: Campaign Structure - Arcs, Beats, and Climaxes | DragonLance SagaDragonLance Saga2026-07-08 | Welcome to the final episode of Dungeon Mastering 101/201, my masterclass course based on over 30 years of experience behind the screen. Transcript While the rest of Krynn battles savage dragons and dark gods, one civilization is locked in a relentless war against the rising ocean itself. Meet the People of Baltch. Once the premier master architects of the legendary Aurim Empire, the Cataclysm physically sank their homelands right to sea level. To survive devastating hurricanes, they engineered the Seawall—a massive island-enclosing network of dikes, breakwaters, and flood funnels. But keeping it standing requires flawless discipline. They traded personal freedom for survival. Every citizen is a registered number, and changing jobs or moving requires a notarized magical permit. Guided by an elite class of Engineer-Lords and Divination Wizards, they built a hyper-advanced navy, becoming the vital merchant link connecting the entire continent. Transcript While the rest of Krynn battles savage dragons, rogue sorcerers, and volcanic firestorms, one ordinary-looking civilization on the edge of Taladas is locked in a never-ending, relentless war against a completely unfeeling and unconquerable foe: the rising ocean itself. Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga episode. Discussion Before the fiery mountain struck, the ancestors of this nation were not isolated islanders. They were the premier architects of Taladas, the legendary master builders who designed the sweeping monuments, roads, and aqueducts of the ancient Aurim Empire. Their hands guided the creation of the old capital, Amoushek the Golden, erecting its legendary towers and palaces. But when the Cataclysm hit, the continental plate supporting their beautiful upland plains suffered a massive subsidence. The earth literally sank. What had once been a high, proud region dropped into a swampy lowland, barely sitting above sea level. To make matters worse, the fracturing of the land completely severed Baltch from the mainland. Overnight, these urban master architects were trapped on a low-lying island, defenseless against the open expanse of the sea and the ferocious, destructive hurricanes that regularly sweep out of the southeast.
Physically, the Baltchians are an ordinary-looking lot. They are of average height and tend to be a little on the plump side. Their faces tell the story of their home—deeply tanned and weatherbeaten by the constant assaults of hot tropical sun and salty air. The men grow full, thick beards and long mustaches, while the women wear their straight hair long and loose. What they lack in striking physical features, they make up for in vibrant clothing. Using cotton grown directly on the island, they dye their garments in bright, vivid patterns of yellows, reds, oranges, and blues. In the fields, peasant men wear short pantaloons, easily rolled up above the knee, paired with a loose, short-sleeved jacket. The women wear identical pants matched with a tight-fitting, high-collared blouse. Out of the fields, both prefer flowing, floor-length cotton robes, accessorized with a simple headscarf or a brightly decorated straw hat.
The upper class takes this to an extreme, wearing multiple layers of loose cotton robes printed in deliberately clashing patterns to display wealth. If an individual is a government official, a specific silk sash draped over the shoulders identifies their precise rank and office within the state bureaucracy.
Faced with total annihilation by the ocean, the Baltchians looked at the rising tides as an engineering problem. Their solution was the construction of the Seawall—a massive, perimeter-enclosing network of dikes, canals, breakwaters, and earthwork levees. This system slowly grew to enclose almost the entire island. The only tiny gap left in the wall serves a dual purpose: it acts as a massive drainage floodgate during storms and forms their largest, most protected deep-water port, opening into the strait between Baltch and the Reed Delta...The D&D Sanctuary Where Gods & Heretics United! #ShortsDragonLance Saga2026-07-04 | After the devastating War of Souls, the legendary Citadel of Light lay in complete ruins. Transcript After the War of Souls, the most famous sanctuary on Krynn was completely decimated—leaving its future hanging by a thread. This was the Citadel of Light. Ruined by a massive Dragon Overlord, many wanted to abandon it. But a kender mystic named Blister Nimblefingers refused to let its legacy fade. As the true gods returned to the world, a massive crisis erupted: Clerics who served the deities and Mystics who wielded internal soul-magic began infighting, stalling the entire rebuild. To stop a holy war, two leaders stepped up, fell in love, and completely refocused the sanctuary. They turned it into a beacon of hope where faith and inner power coexist. Today, the Citadel features a restored hedge maze of blue flowers, massive monuments, and a restricted necromancy ban. It's a place where druids, rangers, and clerics study side-by-side. The ultimate multi-class haven for your campaign. About Redemption The epic conclusion of The Dhamon Saga, which began with Downfall and Betrayal, Dhamon Grimwulf and his companions continue their battle against the dragon overlords of the Fifth Age and the minions of evil that not only shadow their motley group but also threaten to engulf all of Krynn.
Review Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga review episode. It is Bakukal, Fierswelt the 3rd. My name is Adam and today I am going to give you my review of Redemption by Jean Rabe. Review We pick up right where we left off in Betrayal. Dhaman, Ragh, and Fiona are on manticore back, fleeing Sables swamp from Nura Bint-Drax and her Black Dragon Spawn. However, a group of spawn catch up and attack the manticore to try to capture Dhamon. They fight in the air, but ultimately they crash into the ground and the three flee, unsure where they are. Then we cut to Nura and Maldred. It is now revealed that Nura serves two masters, Onysablet the Black Dragon Overlord and another dragon. I believe it is a shadow dragon. Nura and Maldred argue over loyalty and who is a slave to their masters, when they address the new dragon. It is the one that wants Dhamon, not Sable. And it demands that they get him immediately. He sends maldred after him.
Then we return to Dhamon and company who enter a town that is empty, mysteriously so. Fiona is still crazy after Rig’s death and hears him calling to her. It is a Chaos Wight drawing her in for a feeding. This wight and its partners consumed all of the people here entirely and now they are starving. They have learned to take a single memory and leave their victims alive, so they have an opportunity to feed from them again. This evolution is incredibly interesting and terrifying to consider. To think the Chaos minions are adapting to survive in Krynn means they are going to be around for a long time yet. Perhaps I should bring them into my post War of Souls campaign?
The Shadow wight feeds from Ragh and Fiona and turns to Dhamon. He struggles as much as he can, but it is inevitable that the wight will take a memory. The one it chooses is the one where Dhamon leaves his family to join the Dark Knights. It’s an interesting memory, and a side of Dhamon we have not seen yet. It also forces me to consider who we are without our memories. Our motivations, beliefs, morals, hell part of our very being is informed by what we have gone through. What if part of that is ripped away? Would we still be ourselves? We wouldn’t even remember it having been there, so we couldn’t mourn it, we would simply be different. It’s like those who suffer from amnesia and don’t remember or love their partners or children anymore. It’s a terrifying notion, like dementia. Anyway, he takes the memory and decides he wants more, but Dhamon evades him and flees with the others.
They travel to a nearby town, realizing they are on the isle of Nostar. This town is inhabited by many people, all with no memories, clearly being kept here like cattle to be fed off of by wights. Dhamon realizes this and Maldred and Nura appear. They found him via magic and are going to take him but the shadow dragon also appears. It charges Dhamon with killing Sable. No one thinks they can, but it offers to stop the pain and scale growth Dhamon is suffering from if her doe sit, so he takes his weapon back from Maldred and agrees...AD&D - DL2 Dragons of Flame Actual Play, Session 6 | DragonLance SagaDragonLance Saga2026-07-03 | Join DLSaga and players with their sixth actual play session of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Dragonlance Official Game Adventure DL2 Dragons of Flame by Douglas Niles. Transcript Love’s Remains By Adam P. Campbell
39 Prae Cataclius Somewhere West of the Midrath Mountains “I love you,” Amara whispered, slowly sliding her hand up Darian’s bare spine, burying her fingers gently into his hair. In response, he pushed his mouth even deeper against hers, playfully letting his tongue explore the tip of hers, then parted. He glided his hands down from framing her face, past her neck, across her shoulders and down to her arms. He lifted her arms as he slid down her body, impossibly slowly, leaving delicate kisses from her neck to her breasts, and then to her stomach. Her barely audible moans were all he needed to hear, reaffirming that he was headed in the right direction. He used his right thigh and knee to press between her legs, parting them as his hands slid down her sides. He caressed her breasts slightly on the way to her thighs, pressing them up and outward, opening her to him completely. His tongue began to explore her as he was shaken awake to the sound of screaming all around him.
Darian’s eyes darted open, breathing heavily from the dream. The softness of Amara’s skin was replaced by the frozen mountain beneath him. Cassian Morvek was hovering over him, a slight smile on his face belying the stress evident in his eyes. “Having another one of your wet dreams again, Darian? I swear I can always tell by your damn moaning. You should really put a lid on that—you’re going to give away our position one of these days.” Cassian grabbed Darian’s breastplate about the shoulders and lifted him into a sitting position as Darian Volkar assessed this new reality around him. “Perhaps you should try minding your own business, you son of Morgion’s whore.” “Oh now, don’t get nasty, you know I like that filthy mouth of yours.” Darian smiled at his friend and battle buddy. Their Icodio—the Knight Banneret of their Ina, or squadron—walked among the ruins where they had camped the night before, on their long march to Vsule. “Get up you lazy bastards, you need to thank Paladine that I don’t whip every one of you for insubordination for making me wait! Your rations are getting cold; get up and prepare to move out!” Tiber Kaelos, their Icodio wasn’t a cruel man, but he had a turn of phrase when they were on a mission. Hell, they all knew the gravity of their assignment. Handed down directly from the Kingpriest Beldinas Pilofiro himself. It was part of his declaration of Manifest Virtue. Freburmo Tavarre of Luciel, the Grand Marshal of the Order of the Divine Hammer, was given a mandate to locate and eliminate all traces of the evil gods in the Empire of Istar. The past seven and a half months had been pure hell as they sent one cult after another screaming into the Abyss with a greeting to their dark gods: Never step foot on Krynn again. You would think the gods would have received the message loud and clear by now, and yet there were still cults that refused to leave of their own accord; and some even had the temerity to strike back...DM201 Advanced Skills: Villains With Purpose | DragonLance SagaDragonLance Saga2026-06-30 | Welcome to Dungeon Mastering 201, the advanced tier of my Dungeon Mastering course based on over 30 years of experience. Transcript Imagine living in an island paradise where your neighbor, your cousin, or your lifelong friend might secretly be a murderous cultist. This is the reality for the Payan Mako of Taladas. They are a peaceful, defensive people completely adapted to the sea, navigating the treacherous Fisheries in massive dugout canoes. But three decades ago, an insidious ideological cancer slipped into their lagoons: The Cult of the Shark Men. Guided by dark priests of Takhisis, they recruit the dissatisfied from within. By day, they blend in perfectly. By night, they put on heavy shark-jaw war helmets and use gauntlets set with shark teeth to ritually mutilate tribal elders—making the murders look like brutal shark attacks. The cult almost took over the entire region, until the Payan Mako of Syldar united. Now, they are locked in a grueling, bloody civil war of shamanic magic and shark-toothed steel. Transcript Divided by blood but united by the sea, a fiercely defensive island tribe and a brutal, shark-helmeted cult are locked in a clandestine shadow war for the absolute survival of the Fisheries. Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga episode. My name is Adam, and today, we are exploring the deep cultural clash and ongoing civil war between the indigenous defenders, the Payan Mako, and the terrifying internal threat trying to tear them apart from the inside out: the secret cult of the Shark Men. Discussion To understand the stakes of this conflict, we first have to understand the people who claim de facto rule over the island of Syldar: the Payan Mako. Averaging five feet in height, with deep bronze, hairless skin and a generous layer of body fat suited for a lifetime in the water, these people are completely adapted to the sea. They dress minimally in pounded bark-cloth and fish-skin loincloths or intricately stamped sarongs, navigating the treacherous channels in massive, forty-foot dugout outrigger canoes fitted with palm-thatch sails.
The Payan Mako do not possess a formal central government, but their tribal structure controls everything on Syldar—from the selection of highly contested fishing waters to the territories of the inland charcoal burners. They are not imperialistic conquerors, but they are fiercely, violently protective of their borders. Their coastal villages are built on high stilts studded with sharp shells to repel both rising monsoons and the giant night rats that plague the island. They are a simple, defensive people who just want to maintain their ancient territory, utilizing shields of woven palm fiber, short bows, and spears tipped with razor-sharp shark teeth.
For generations, the Payan Mako had no true rivals, but three decades ago, a horrific ideological cancer slipped into their lagoons. This is the secret society of the Shark Men. Operating as an undercover cult empowered by dark priests of Erestem—the Taladasian aspect of Takhisis—the Shark Men are a localized, insidious weapon designed to subjugate the local tribes. Unbeknownst to the everyday villagers, they are the vanguard of Evil's attempt to rule eastern Taladas.
The cult doesn't invade from the outside; it recruits from within. Agents systematically infiltrate Payan Mako villages, targeting the dissatisfied, the outcasts, and the local scoundrels. Lured by promises of absolute power and spiritual dominance, these ne'er-do-wells are easily brought into secret meetings, where traveling dark priests perform miraculous spells to solidify their loyalty. In everyday life, a Shark Man is invisible, blending perfectly into the village as a neighbor, a cousin, or a fisherman. But in the dark, they are a unified pack of apex predators.
Once the cult establishes a foothold in a village, the conflict shifts from quiet recruitment to outright psychological warfare. The Shark Men target vocal critics and tribal elders who oppose them. These dissenters are ritually murdered, their bodies left washed up on the shores of the lagoon. To maximize terror and keep their local members bound by shared guilt, the victims are found savagely ripped, shredded, and mutilated by specialized gauntlets set with razor-sharp shark teeth, mimicking a brutal shark attack. A single, bloody shark tooth is always left behind as a calling card...Was Raistlin Actually a Warlock?! #ShortsDragonLance Saga2026-06-27 | Raistlin Majere is the most iconic Wizard in Dragonlance history... but did his meteoric rise to power actually come from a dark Warlock pact? Let's break down his secret bargain with Fistandantilus using D&D mechanics.
Transcript Raistlin Majere is widely known as the greatest wizard in Dragonlance history. But what if his unparalleled power... actually came from a dark Warlock pact? Think about it. During his grueling Test of High Sorcery, facing certain death, Raistlin didn't just rely on his spellbook. He made a desperate, literal bargain with the undying spirit of Fistandantilus. In exchange for survival and raw power, his life force was drained. His skin turned golden, his hair went white, and his eyes changed completely. That is pure modern D&D Warlock mechanics! While he still studied spellbooks like a wizard, Fistandantilus acted as his literal otherworldly patron, supercharging his meteoric rise to power. So, is he a wizard, a warlock, or the ultimate multiclass? I'm breaking down the full theory using the new 2024 D&D rules right now. Transcript Before you roll initiative against that troglodyte tribe, you better check your footing—because in AD&D, a single patch of slippery ice or a pool of deep cave mud can completely strip away your dexterity bonus and leave you fighting for your life from the literal ground up. Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga episode. My name is Adam and today we’re looking at a killer mechanic that too many Dungeon Masters completely ignore: Environmental Combat. I'd like to take a moment and thank the DLSaga members and Patreon patrons, and invite you to consider becoming a member or patron — you can even pick up AD&D and Dragonlance media or get $10 by signing up to StartPlaying.Games using my affiliate links. I'm referencing the Dungeon Masters Guide and Dungeoneer’s Survival Guide for this information. If I leave anything out or misspeak, please leave a comment below. Discussion We're going to dive deep into the official rules for handling the three classic subterranean hazards: The Sludge, The Slick, and The Torrent. To do this, we are pulling directly from the AD&D Dungeon Master's Guide and Dungeoneer’s Survival Guide. Grab your ten-foot poles and your crampons, because we are showcasing the gritty mechanical reality of fighting when the world beneath your feet turns completely hostile. The Sludge (Living Caves & Deep Mud) Let’s start our descent with our first hazard, which I affectionately call The Sludge. When your players are mapping out an underground complex, they are eventually going to enter what the Dungeoneer's Survival Guide classifies as a "living cave." This isn't a dead, dusty tomb. A living cave is a dynamic, geologically active environment where water is constantly seeping through the limestone overhead, stalactites are actively growing, and the air is thick with moisture. In these zones, dust is nonexistent, but mud is absolutely everywhere. Now, standard exploration rules already dictate that if a party is navigating through tight, low-lying passages on their hands and knees, or slithering prone through narrow fissures, their base movement rate plummets. But what happens when that passage suddenly opens up into a massive cavern room, only for the players to discover that the entire floor is a low-lying basin filled to the knees with thick, heavy, freezing cave mud? This is where the tactical landscape completely shifts. Fighting in deep mud isn’t just about moving slowly; it is a rapid accelerator for Fatigue and Exhaustion. According to the official topography rules, the moment a melee combat encounter erupts while the characters are bogged down in thick mud, the clock begins ticking on their stamina. Every single round of continuous physical exertion in this environment requires the players to make a mandatory Constitution Check. If a character fails this check, they don't just get tired narratively—they instantly drop to the "Fatigued" condition. Mechanically, the penalties for being Fatigued in AD&D are absolutely brutal. The moment fatigue sets in, the character suffers an immediate -2 penalty to all of their attack rolls, a -2 penalty to their damage rolls, and a -2 penalty to all saving throws. But it gets worse. You also must subtract 2 points from every single one of your character's ability scores for the duration of the exhaustion. Suddenly, your 18-strength fighter is swinging like an average peasant, your wizard's system shock percentages plummet, and your rogue's reflexes are completely dulled...Review: DL3 Dragons of Hope | DragonLance SagaDragonLance Saga2026-06-25 | Join me as I review DL3 Dragons of Hope by Tracy Hickman live! Transcript Imagine a race of dwarves so deeply traumatized by the underground that stepping into a cave gives them severe panic attacks. Meet the Fianawar Dwarves of the Steamwall Mountains. Once master deep-miners, their entire world shattered during the Cataclysm. Rivers of molten lava incinerated their kingdoms. When they tried to resettle, fire demons dragged their scouting parties into the dark, creating a permanent, mass cultural phobia of the deep earth. Today, they are completely agoraphobic. They live exclusively on the surface, but they hate it. To block out the open sky, they build windowless stone boxes that mimic their lost caverns. Because they can't go underground, they run massive open-pit strip mines. This gives them an endless supply of ore, outfitting every single citizen in masterwork field plate and chain mail. A society of soot-covered masters terrified of their own birthright. Transcript Traumatized by subterranean fire demons and scoured from their underground homes by the apocalyptic fires of the Cataclysm, this ancient race of dwarves has developed a terrifying, generational phobia of the deep earth. Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga episode. My name is Adam, and today we are venturing into the rugged northern ranges of the Steamwall Mountains, near the Tiderun, to explore the Fianawar dwarves. Discussion Like all dwarves across the face of Krynn, the Fianawar trace their lineage back to the master god of the forge, Reorx. Following the Scattering of the People by the Graygem of Gargath, they wandered south, carving out peaceful, prosperous homes beneath the low mountains near the Aurim Empire. For centuries, their lives were calm as they dug deep mines in search of valuable iron ore.
Everything changed in a single night when the Cataclysm struck. The structural plates of the Steamwall Mountains tilted and violently heaved. Torrential rivers of molten lava surged through the established mine shafts, incinerating everything in their path. The roofs of great caverns buckled, crushing entire communities, while subterranean vents split open to spew suffocating clouds of sulphurous fumes. Forced to flee to the blinding light of the surface, the surviving dwarves set up rude, temporary camps, fully believing they would return once the tremors stopped. However, early scouting patrols sent back into the deep shafts vanished without a trace.
Over the next century, the Fianawar attempted to resettle their underground home several times, but every foray met with immediate, gruesome disaster. Unstable passages collapsed into boiling lava pits, and burst fissures spewed scalding, poisonous gases. Worse still, active horrors began to hunt them. Fire demons leaped from flaming pools to drag victims away, and children vanished from the torchlight. When miners accidentally unleashed pressurized subterranean lava streams, the survivors retreated to the surface with horrific tales.
After several centuries of deadly failure, a profound psychological shift occurred. The repeated trauma instilled a mass cultural terror of the deep earth within the populace. Today, the Fianawar are completely agoraphobic regarding the underground. They are permanently resigned to a life on the surface, utterly terrified of the dark realm their ancestors once ruled.
Despite their permanent exile, the Fianawar despise surface life. They hate the bright sunlight, the open expanse of sky, freezing rain, and summer flowers. They possess little talent for farming, though they till the soil simply to survive. To keep their smithing traditions alive, they dig massive, open-pit mines to scrape away surface deposits of ore, though working under the open sky offers them little comfort.
To shut out the open air, the Fianawar build squat, blocky structures from heavy stone blocks in deliberate imitation of their lost caverns. These houses have thick sod roofs and virtually no windows. Each village operates as a smoky industrial hub, stoking smelters that belch thick, black smoke. Rerouted mountain streams turn massive wooden wheels to drive heavy mechanical triphammers, while carrying away the settlement's garbage further downstream...Are Dragonlance Wizards Secretly Clerics? #ShortsDragonLance Saga2026-06-20 | They obey strict laws, draw power from three specific gods, and lose their magic if they break their oaths. So why aren't the Wizards of High Sorcery considered clerics? The cosmic answer completely redefines Dragonlance magic.
Transcript Wizards of High Sorcery serve specific gods, obey strict laws, and can lose their power if they stray. So… are they actually clerics? It's a huge debate, but the answer is a hard no. Solinari, Lunitari, and Nuitari are gods, but they don't want your worship. They grant access to magic, not divine favor. A cleric is an instrument of a deity's moral will. A wizard is a custodian of a cosmic force. In fact, a wizard's only mandatory loyalty is to magic itself. Look at the Test of High Sorcery. It isn’t about faith, and it isn't about good or evil. It's an exam of raw responsibility. If you fail, the gods don't excommunicate you—the Conclave executes you. That's why White and Black Robes can kill each other in war, but peacefully share notes in a Tower of High Sorcery. They protect the balance of reality, not an ideology. Clerics are servants. Wizards are stewards. About Betrayal How much is an act of betrayal worth?
Worth the price of a soul?
Dhamon Grimwulf and his band of mercenaries greedily eye a long-forgotten treasure concealed beneath a grassy plain. Legends promise riches too numerous to count, wealth too grand to be believed. But in a shifting world of secrets and deception, such fortune comes at a high price, higher even than the searing agony Dhamon suffers under the curse of a dragon's scale.
High enough to cost Dhamon his life.
The paperback version of the sequel to Downfall, the first book of the Dhamon Saga. Betrayal continues the adventures of characters featured in the USA Today bestselling Dragons of a New Age trilogy.
Review Welcome to another DragonLance Saga review episode. It is Bakukal, Holmswelth the 19th. My name is Adam and today I am going to give you my review of Betrayal by Jean Rabe. Her name is Nura Bint-Drax, and I believe she is a Spawn, but it’s not confirmed yet. She is telling Sable that she believes Dhaman is the one, whatever that means, and that she will continue testing him until he dies, or is confirmed as being the one. I do wonder what that is supposed to imply, and what Sable’s machinations are, as we haven’t heard anything about her other than having a zoo of odd creatures. Then we pick up with Fiona and Rig as they are actively cursing Dhaman. Apparently they abandoned him and Maldred at the end of the last novel and have been wandering, looking for her brother ever since. While it hasn't been too long, they are hungry and clearly in a dangerous part of the swamp. THey come across some draconians in a cave and do a bit of blind fighting. I am always pleased when this happens and it feels realistic, meaning, having no idea where creatures are or where to swing your sword. I have tried to emulate this in a TTRPG, but it never works out right.
Then we find Dhaman and Maldred in a brothel with five women ready to please them, but they insist on waiting until nightfall for some insane reason. If I can impart any wisdom here. Between consenting adults, never let embarrassment or shame get in the way of a good time. Everyone has parts of themselves they are not happy with but if someone is consenting to be with you, they clearly don’t care as much as you do. Give in to the moment, and have some fun. Life is too short not to. Anyway, these five women end up being much worse than presented. However before we get to that bit, we have a flashback to get to. The women are force feeding them drug spiked spiced rum in anticipation of nightfall, and the men are telling tales of their heroics in the interim. After the last novel, Dhaman and Maldred returned to Donnag, Mal’s father and chieftain of Blode. Mal completely threatens his life and nearly kills him with his son watching. Dhaman is convinced the sword Wyrmsbane is a fake as he wants to find a cure from this scale in his leg and the sword gives him visions instead.
Then with further threats of murder and theft, they consent to take a magical map. It seems to lead them to treasure when they focus on it. They take a bunch of jewels as well then leave to the brothel. The women reveal they are in fact thieves, in addition to being prostitutes, and go to kill them after knocking them out...AD&D - DL2 Dragons of Flame Actual Play, Session 4 | DragonLance SagaDragonLance Saga2026-06-19 | Join DLSaga and players with their fourth actual play session of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Dragonlance Official Game Adventure DL2 Dragons of Flame by Douglas Niles. Transcript If you catch this kender stealing your magical gear, they won't say they "found it." They’ll tell you it's a lethal weapon confiscation. Meet the Marak Kender of the Steamwall mountains. Unlike their cheerful cousins on Ansalon, these kender dress in grim blacks and grays to blend into stone walls. Before the Cataclysm, they had absolute, childlike trust in the gods. But after lava scoured their valleys, they came to a dark conclusion: the gods actively betrayed them. This trauma shattered their innocence, replacing it with pure, survival-driven paranoia. They don't steal out of curiosity anymore—they hoard weapons to stack the odds against you. Their villages are protected by rings of devious, deadly traps. When besieged by hobgoblins, it triggers a brutal night war of sappers and insidious underground engineering. A race of incurably curious, black-humored survivalists. Transcript When the apocalyptic fury of the Cataclysm shattered their peaceful valleys, this unique group of kender came to a terrifying realization: the gods were no longer their protectors, they were the ultimate threat. Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga episode. My name is Adam, and today we are heading into the lower slopes of the Steamwall mountains to talk about the Marak Kender. Discussion Physically, the Marak kender look like the rest of their race, though they are notably longer in the face. Their environment has completely dictated their appearance and gear. To blend into the gloomy, rocky walls of their canyon homelands, they completely forgo the bright, mismatched colors of traditional kender, dressing strictly in somber grays and blacks. A typical outfit consists of a simple shirt, heavy trousers, and hard-soled moccasins, topped with a hooded half-cape coated in wax or fat to keep out the foul, constant mountain rain. They still grow their hair long, but instead of wild topknots, they bind it in tight, spiraling buns or head-hugging braids.
Their weaponry has adapted to the mountains as well. Lacking the straight-limbed wood needed to craft a traditional hoopak, they harvest the springy, twisted wood of the Steamwall forests to construct the hoopaui, or stone-bow. Operating exactly like a heavy, mechanical crossbow, this weapon fires hand-selected stone pellets with deadly accuracy. Because of their obsessive hoarding tendencies, Marak kender carry an unusually high number of magical short swords, daggers, axes, and spears. They wear no standard armor, relying on natural camouflage to disappear into the stone, but when war comes, they present an incredibly bizarre sight. They girt themselves in a mismatched, chaotic collection of stolen and scavenged pieces—a League legionnaire's helm, a Thenolite breastplate, a hobgoblin bone plate, or a full suit of ancient dwarven plate armor packed with pillows so it doesn't fall off their slim frames.
To understand why these kender are so different, we have to look at their history. Before the Cataclysm, the Marak kender lived in idyllic, sheltered valleys. The human Aurim Empire lay to the north, and the elves lived to the east, neither bothering the kender. They possessed an absolute, childlike trust that the good gods loved them and would protect them from all evil.
Then came the Cataclysm. The smiling kender were subjected to horrors no mortal army could inflict: volcanic fires lit the skies, weeks of toxic ash poisoned their water, and rivers of lava scoured their villages. The Marak kender realized that only the gods could unleash such localized cruelty. They didn't view it as an accident; they believed the gods had actively betrayed them.
This trauma completely broke their cheerful nature, replacing it with deep, survival-driven paranoia. They are still incurably curious, but it is a curiosity born of fear. When a Marak kender meets a stranger, they don't want to make a friend—they want to know exactly who you are and what you are carrying to determine if you are a threat to their valley.
This paranoia completely reframed the classic kender habit of "handling" items. Their absolute lack of a moral concept regarding personal property didn't change, but their excuses did. Marak kender now steal items explicitly to "check them out" for danger...The Game of Thrones in Dragonlance! #ShortsDragonLance Saga2026-06-13 | Think Dragonlance is just pure good vs. evil knights? Transcript Bound by an ancient grievance forgotten by history, this mysterious race of elves has spent over three millennia completely vanishing from human sight, weaponizing time, illusions, and deceptions against anyone who dares cross their borders. Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga episode. My name is Adam, and today we are stepping into the deep, untouched woodlands of Taladas to uncover the most mysterious elven subrace on Krynn: The Hulderfolk. Discussion The name "Hulderfolk" literally translates to "Hidden People" in the ancient tongue of Taladas, stemming from their foremost tradition: Shunning. Millennia ago, the elves took slight to a long-forgotten act committed by humans, prompting the entire elven nation to forgo contact with the world of man. While surface elves eventually forgot the explicit code of shunning due to human expansion, the Hulderfolk never did. At its core, shunning means not being seen. If humans settle near a hulder wood, the elves initially engage in psychological harassment—stealing tools, loosing livestock, and luring children into the thickets. If that fails, they move deeper into the forest. Because their homelands are steadily shrinking, this harassment has turned violent, evolving from harmless tricks to terrifying, injurious spells. Their camouflage is practically supernatural. Cloaked in the deep woods, they can walk right through human farms without alerting the farmers or their livestock; only dogs seem capable of sensing their presence. Bards often describe the Hulderfolk's domain as a separate world entirely, crossable only through invisible borders. While shunning forbids standard interactions with humanity, it explicitly encourages trickery. The Hulderfolk take great delight in executing three types of tricks: time, deception, and gifting. Tricks of time are the most legendary. A human traveler is invited into a quiet clearing to share a lavish meal or escape a storm. The hosts are perfectly courteous, pliering their guest with marvelous food until they fall into an exhausted sleep. The traveler awakes in the exact spot they met the stranger, only to discover that centuries or decades have passed in the outside world. The text notes a tale of one man who fell asleep a century before the Cataclysm and woke up two hundred years after it! Tricks of deception usually target attractive young men and women. An elf will visit them alone in the evening, posing as a suitor or an absent spouse. Using natural grace to charm the victim, they lull them into making binding oaths. Humans falsely assume these promises are easily broken, but the Hulderfolk possess magical enforcement to ensure the oaths are kept. Tricks of gifting are rare and bittersweet. If an elf is genuinely moved by a human’s romantic passion or artistic spirit, they will grant a magical gift—but always at a steep cost. A farmer may gain supernatural prosperity but lose his son to the woods. A bard may be gifted a flawless, wonderful singing voice, but go completely blind in the process. Despite their trickery, the Hulderfolk live by absolute, unyielding cosmic laws. A Hulderfolk physically cannot break their word once given to a human; breaking an oath is entirely inconceivable to them. Furthermore, humans can protect themselves if they know the rules of the game:...The Elven Empire Ansalon Needed! #ShortsDragonLance Saga2026-06-06 | Meet the Lost Silvanesti Elves of Taladas. Transcript If the elves of Ansalon had used this exact system of government, the Dragonarmies never would have broken them. Meet the Silvanaes-Quarti, the Lost Silvanesti of Taladas. Shipwrecked by a catastrophic storm, they built a rare alliance: the Confederation of Armach. Instead of hiding away, they united 16 human barbarian tribes, along with gnomes, centaurs, and kender, under a single shared council. But make no mistake: the elves still hold the power. Their First Edicts dictate that outsiders entering elven land face immediate death, and only elves can command military forces. At night, the land is haunted by ancient spirits. To survive the darkness, the elves light thousands of fires across the forest to push back the terrors. A brilliant, flawed political thriller waiting for your campaign. About Downfall How far can a hero fall? Far enough to lose his soul?
Dhamon Grimwulf, once a Hero of the Heart, has sunk into a bitter life of crime and squalor. Now, as the great dragon overlords of the Fifth Age coldly plot to strengthen their rule and to destroy their enemies, he must somehow find the will to redeem himself. But perhaps it is too late.
Downfall marks the return of Dhamon and other characters from author Jean Rabe's bestselling Dragons of a New Age trilogy.
Transcript Welcome to another DragonLance Saga review episode. It is Bakukal, Holmswelth the 5th. My name is Adam and today I am going to give you my review of Downfall by Jean Rabe. Review The story begins with Dhamon in a hospital in Ironspike, run by the legion of Steel. He is there to rob the place, but obviously no one knows it. His old companions Rig and Fiona found him there and were stunned to have seen him but went about their own way. When night fell, Dhamon snuck around stealing loot and fled. He was seen by a patient and the guards were called. Dhamon is accompanied by other thieves Rikali, his half-elf lover, Fetch, a kobold thief magic-user, and a brute of a man named Maldred. They fight their way out of the town, burning down a stable and stealing horses to avoid the legion. Rig and Fiona inadvertently helped them flee, but then set to tracking them.
Dhamon and team seem to want to buy a sword but need a lot of money for it. This is yet to be explained. So they leave Khur into the Khalkists to the Vale of Chaos where the Valley of Chrystal is. They plan to take a bunch of the gems there and buy the sword with it. But the valley is guarded by ogres and dwarves. They are hunted and run off by dwarves, which wound them severely, and even with what they stole, they aren't sure they have enough. This is really confusing, as there is no indication what type of sword or why Dhamon wants it, but his companions are willing to go along anyway.
Then Rig and Fiona catch up with them and try to find out why Dhamon is so different from who they remember. He tells them a story about after the Dawning of a New Age trilogy, he was with a company who was hunting dragons in Qualinesti. They were ambushed and nearly all of his company was killed. Dhamon ran off and eventually found a tavern. He tried to drink the memory away when one of the company found him there and tried to take him into custody. A massive fight took place, killing many elves, and Dhamon ran off, eventually meeting up with his current companions. He has no interest in fighting dragons, or being a hero, content to be a thief. His companions are shocked but even more shocking, they want to join him!
This first third is odd. It is clearly setting up a redemption arc for Dhamon, but I am not sure I want one. He was a great hero in the previous trilogy, but it is far more fascinating to see a hero change and devolve. Where does he go from here, and why does he need so much money for a sword? I am interested in learning. It is a bit difficult to read as I am not sure the structure of the story is resonating with me, but I am still here for it. Well with the second third now over, I can report the sword is an interesting mcguffin. It is Tanis Half-Elven’s sword. Now, I believe they are referring to the one he was given in Kith kanan’s tomb, but they mentioned something about treasure finding, so I am a bit confused...AD&D - DL2 Dragons of Flame Actual Play, Session 2 | DragonLance SagaDragonLance Saga2026-06-05 | Join DLSaga and players with their second actual play session of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Dragonlance Official Game Adventure DL2 Dragons of Flame by Douglas Niles. Transcript In the sweltering, disease-ridden channels of Blackwater Glade, a primitive race of lizardmen holds a dark secret. Meet the Bakali. They stand up to eight feet tall with spiny, alligator-like leather, surviving in a swamp where the very air reeks of sickness. They have no concept of family. Young Bakali are left in communal nesting grounds to fight each other for food—and must kill a bull alligator solo just to join the tribe. They fight with bone and wood. Yet, deep in the marsh lie sunken stone ruins that the Bakali fiercely avoid, claiming they are haunted. But inside those ruins sits perfectly preserved metal armor forged precisely for their massive frames—remnants of a forgotten, staggeringly rich Bakali Empire. Transcript If you thought Istar was the only empire on Krynn that echoed ancient Rome, you haven't seen this. Meet the Imperial League of Minotaurs in Taladas. Built on the ruins of human settlements, this massive superpower is absolute, highly organized, and utterly ruthless. Their law is entirely governed by the arena. Guilt or innocence is determined by a strict code of Might is Right—ranging from first blood to fights to the death. Too rich to fight? The wealthy actually hire professional combat substitutes from a dedicated Champions Guild to fight their legal battles for them. Protecting it all are the Legions of Eragas—a terrifyingly efficient military machine of heavy infantry, bowmen, and elite noble cavalry. A highly organized empire of iron, blood, and arena glory.
They can play the modules as a set of separate adventures or as a great quest that spans the entire Dragonlance story.
