Barney Error - Before The Finale CECOfficial IsBack 2020-07-23 | Sometime during 1997, an official Barney computer virus named "Barney Error" (alternatively Virus.Win9x.Barn) was created by some unknown developers who were supposedly hired by Sheryl Leach, designed for children as a 'parental control test'. How it was able to spread to other computers is still unknown. The virus payload would activate a few minutes after it appears on a computer's hard drive, closing all open programs and making the user wait five minutes, giving them six chances to refrain from closing the program. If the timer goes down to zero, the program would close by itself. Each time the program is closed, the timer would increase. If closed six times, the program would scare the user, then delete every file on the hard disk, leaving the computer unable to boot.This video is the only known recording of the Barney Error computer virus in action. It was recorded on June 28th, 1997 at 6:07 PM. The person who recorded this video is unknown, but the contents of the video show the destructive nature of the virus. I made this video to showcase how I think Barney Errors would actually go if they existed, back in the day or otherwise. This is the first concept I have of a Barney Error that somehow makes sense, with the second one to be revealed in Barney Error 150. If Flappy Bird was an old 90s shareware game (Mockup) CECOfficial IsBack 2021-10-22 | This video is fake. It is only an edit/mockup.The first version of Flappy Bird dates back to 1995, released as a shareware game for PC with the same name. The game was developed by a software company called MindScream. It's very similar to its 2013 mobile version, in terms of gameplay, graphics and character design. It was bundled in several shareware disks distributed in retail stores and via BBS, with a 7-day trial and a price of $15.95. The game was incredibly obscure, especially when compared to the mobile version, making it abnormally rare to find. The only evidence of this game's existence is a video recording of someone playing the game on May 31st, 1996, which is the very video you see here. This video shows a couple minutes of gameplay, running on a Windows 95 computer.Just a little filler video to make sure I don't upload only one video this year. It is only an edit/mockup made as an interpretation as what a Press Your Luck game for the NES might have looked like. Asking for ROMs is redundant, as they don't exist.In 1988, GameTek developed video game adaptations of the show Press Your Luck on NES and computers. While the MS-DOS version ended up releasing, the NES version never saw a release, despite being fully developed. Compared to the MS-DOS version, its graphics and sound were more faithful to the original show. No cartridges were said to be found, so it's abnormally rare and difficult to find.The following year, on August 13th, 1989, some footage of the game was recorded. It was recorded by an unknown person named Jason, presumably in his bedroom. This is the only known footage of the game's existence. It's an eleven-minute recording, but the following has been cut down to over three minutes to show the gist of what the game would've been like if it released.Alright, now that I've gotten the fake description out of the way, let's ramble on for a bit.
