Ruger 10/22 Stainless Mannlicher Carbine Walnut Stock Quick Look - Donnie D Donnie D 2024-03-13 | Quick first look at my Ruger 10/22 Stainless Mannlicher carbine. I purchased the stock from a friend of mine and the rifle from a local gun shop, and put the two together yesterday. Stopped by my shooting range on the way home from the gun shop and ran 20 rounds thru the rifle to make sure it would function OK. Then today I ran another 80 rounds thru the completed rifle, and was very pleased. Gun ran flawlessly. Zeroed the rifle at 50 yards, then shot it at 100, 150 and 200yards without any problems, and the gun looks like it as going to be extremely accurate. Savage Model 64 Precision First Look and Shooting - Donnie D Donnie D 2024-01-03 | A quick first look and a little shooting of my Savage Model 64 Precision semi auto .22 rifle. First off, I said in the video that the rifle comes with a 10 round mag when in fact it comes with a 20 round mag. My bad. Only my second time shooting to test various ammos. A bit windy for that today so just some fun shooting from 100 yards. Sorry for some of the shaky video and sound quality. The wind was pretty tough and kind of messed up some of the audio. Ruger Precision Rimfire .22-CCI Standard Velocity 40/1070- 400 yards-Donnie D Donnie D 2023-12-17 | Five shot string with my Ruger Precision Rimfire .22 with some CCI Standard Velocity 40gr 1070fps from 400 yards. Was hitting about 70% for the day with that ammo.This was one 5 shot string with CCI Standard Velocity 40/1070. Also shot some Federal 325 bulk 40/1200, but didn't hit as good with that. Maybe about 50%.Still not bad for 400 yards with a .22.

475 yards, Caldwell Flash Bang, Savage 11VT .223 - Donnie D Donnie D 2023-10-20 | Shooting some AR500 steel with my Caldwell Flash Bang Hit Indicators using my Savage 11 VT .223, from 475 yards. Unfortunatly the video does not show the flash well at all. The flash was VERY easily seen by me at 475 yards. One target is a 24" square 3/8" thick AR500, and weighs a bit in excess of 80 lbs, and the other is a 16" diameter 3/8" thick AR500, that weighs about 35 lbs +. A lot of weight for a .223 round to move at that distance. Even so, the Flash bangs reacted perfectly every shot. I missed a couple of times, but I won't tell if you don't. Anyway, so far I am VERY happy with them, and I will probably get a couple more. Next week I will try and make another vid with one of my .22 rifles from maybe 300 or so yards, or further. Also I'll shoot with one of my .308's. We'll see.Thanks to all my subscribers, and thank you all for lookin.
Donnie Ds Caldwell Flash Bang Hit Indicators, RPR .22, 250 yards Donnie D 2023-10-19 | First shots using my new Caldwell Flash Bang Steel Target Hit Indicators. Have them mounted on two of my AR500 steel gongs. One is 16" diameter 3/8" thick and weighs about 35 pounds. The other is 12" x 16" x 3/8" thick and weighs about 25 pounds. I was shooting my Ruger Precision Rimfire .22, with some CCI Mini Mag 40/1235. Off camera I later shot with some CCI Standard Velocity 40/1070. Both ammos set off the Flash Bang Indicators just fine. I'll keep testing them over the next few days with these targets to see how far out the indicators will still work. Also, today was a very bright sunny day, and the Flash Bangs showed up great. Quick First Look-Arken SH-4 GenII 6-24x50 - Donnie D Donnie D 2023-10-06 | Quick first look at my Arken Optics SH-4 GenII 6-24x50 scope I recently purchased for my Ruger Precision Rimfire .22. So far I've successfully hit a 16" gong with this rifle and this optic combo from 350 yds, but I only was hitting about 30 to 40% at that distance. My goal is to hit the same target from 500 yds. Hmmmm, we'll see. Maybe, maybe not.
Shooting my Taurus Tracker .22 Revolver, 250 yards, 16 gong - Donnie D Donnie D 2023-09-19 | Shooting a 16" farm disc that I made into a reactive gong awhile ago from 250 yards, from a bench rest. I couldn't hit a box car off hand with a handgun at this distance. I actually shot this same gong from 300 yards about a month or so ago and was hitting about 30%. Not so lucky today. I'll try that again and make a video of my attempts. After hitting at 250 I went back to 50 to check my scope, and it returned to zero just fine.
Armstrong Precision Rimfire Rifle Scope 4-16x44 First Look, First Impression-Donnie D Donnie D 2023-09-12 | My first impression on a rifle scope I purchased a couple of weeks ago. Seems to be very well made and accurate as well. Great fit and finish, and comes with 30mm rings, lens caps, sunshade, mag ring throw lever, cleaning cloth, etc. I am so far extremely happy with it. Time will tell of course, but so far, so good.Purchased on Amazon from Armstrong Enterprises. I think it is going to be a good one.Thanks for lookin.
Three More .22 Ammos Tested With RPR- Browning, CCI AR, Win Sup X-Donnie D Donnie D 2023-09-07 | Tested three more .22 ammos today (9-6-23) shooting my Ruger Precision Rimfire. Browning Pro 22 40/1085, CCI AR Tactical 40/1200, and Winchester Super X small game & plinking 40/1300. None of them performed as well as the CCI Standard Velocity Target 40/1070 which is what I zeroed my rifle for today. Had to re zero because I installed a new scope this morning. It is an Armstrong Rimfire 4-16x44, a company and scope I've never heard of, but decided to take a chance on, and SO FAR, even though today was my first time shooting with it, I am VERY favorably impressed. I'll make a first look, first impressions vid, probably tomorrow.
Ruger Precision Rimfire .22, CCI Std Vel 40/1070, Fed Auto Match Bulk 325 Pack 40/1200, Donnie D Donnie D 2023-09-06 | Shot my Ruger Precision Rimfire .22 this morning to test a couple of ammos. Some CCI Standard Velocity 40/1070, and some Federal Bulk 325 box 40/1200. Not too shabby, but tomorrow I'm taking my better bench with me. Also I mounted a new scope on this rifle today. It is an Armstrong 4-16x44 Rimfire scope. Never heard of that company or the scope, but I took a chance. We'll see tomorrow. Out of the box I'm quite impressed with the look and feel of it, but look and feel doesn't matter, only how well it performs. I'll sure let you know. Had a great time (a bit HOT and MUGGY) with a few members and a couple non member friends (still working on Getting them to join up). Had a chance, as we always do, to shoot many different guns, including a couple of full auto. We shot handguns and rifles at steel and aspirin, and shotguns at clay birds, although my cam bat went dead before we got to the birds. Better luck next time. Range Time Part 2 My Granddaughter and Stepson - Donnie D Donnie D 2023-06-21 | Part 2 of my range time with my Granddaughter and her Dad (my Stepson). In this video it is Her Dad doing the shooting with Lily doing the "SUPERVISING". But I have to say, she is a pretty good supervisor, and a pretty good shot. Range Time With My Stepson and Granddaughter Part 1 - Donnie D Donnie D 2023-06-19 | A little fun shooting with my Granddaughter and Stepson. We had my AR15, Winchester Model 190, and my small Rossi break barrel .22. Also had my Step Son's .380 and 9mm, and his Ruger 22/45 Lite. My Granddaughter had a great time shooting the handguns. She just wasn't quite ready for the 9mm or the rifles, but that was OK as it was her first trip to the range. She is a pretty good shot with the other guns though. We all had a lot of fun, and after all that is what it is all about. Plus we had the chance to teach her some gun fundamentals, and most of all, about safety.

It is a tube fed semi auto. Worked on it last night, and it looks like I've got it functioning pretty good. Wanted to set the scope today, bit the wind was blowing a gale and gusty. Mauser Rifle Identification Help - Donnie D Donnie D 2023-03-28 | Would appreciate any help anyone can offer so I can identify this Mauser Rifle. I made sketches of the markings on the rifle that I could find, as it would be hard for you to see them otherwise. Center to center of action screws is 7 5/8". It is chambered, or maybe rechambered in .308. Thanks!

Very windy, gusty day for my limited skills, but still a lot of fun. Part 2 video will be a closer look at the gun, mount and scope under MUCH quieter conditions. I'm sorry for the wind noise in the vid, but not much I could do about that. Wind was sustained at 15+ with gusts at 30+ mph. Anyway, thanks for lookin.
