The PC Engine was never officially released in Europe by NEC, but somehow we did get a version of the 4th Gen console through unofficial means. Today we look at the TurboGrafx, and consider what might have been had it seen a release on these shores.

Acorn's first foray into the pre-built, wedge micro world was the Atom in 1980. Going head to head with Sinclair's ZX80 it was an interesting debut which balanced cost with features, and gave us a glimpse into the computing magic that the company would go on to conjure up in the years ahead. Today we take a broken old Atom and learn all about it in our quest to turn Trash to Treasure.

Amiga Format was my magazine of choice from 1989 to 1994, and my provided me with my fondest memories of all computer magazines. A teenager discovering 16-bit computing, the games and the applications and creativity tools that AF introduced me to.

It's time to put into place the changes we've been talking about since October 2024, the coming together of The Retro Collective family, officially.
What does this mean? Well...not a great deal on the surface really because we'll be doing exactly what we've been doing over the last year. Working together on projects, helping each other with videos and creating even better content through sharing our skills and enthusiasm.
So, don't panic, it's business as usual but the rebranding that I'll be doing might make it seem like a bigger change than it actually is. Think of it as a refresh to help make how we work, make sense.
With that clear we can look ahead to 2025, how can we become a "real" museum, what's our big project for the year to expand our video making, repair and museum capabilities, and how can you help us to accelerate these ambitions?
If you'd like to treat yourself to the great bundle of retro goodies we've put together with the community to support the project then here's the link, every sale will go a long way in helping us: https://rmcretro.store/products/retro-collective-2025-support-bundle
You'll notice I've rebranded the Patreon page, I'll update the public YouTube page etc later in the week when this video goes live publicly.
Thank you for your support, for helping us to achieve what we have so far, and from me personally, for taking the dream that started in my spare room in 2017 to this wonderful creation in 2025.

The Arcadia restoration project has been an exciting one but a question has always lingered...what does anyone actually want to play on it? We may have just found the answer thanks to the efforts of h0ffman and The Twitch Elite, while we at the Retro Collective put in a final effort to get the system finished.
