Beautiful Botanical Bloom Transfer~ #fluidart #fluidart #abstract artist

Shelli Anderson Art 2025-07-19 | This is a Botanical Bloom Transfer on a 12 x 12-inch tile. I learned a few things from my last transfers and applied them to this one. I wanted my pillow paint to be very thin. I used less than I normally do, and I spun it out thoroughly. Also, the pillow paint underneath my blooms were minimal. Lastly, I used pillow paint on my transfer tools to assist on the transfers! Thank you August for that tip!

Sand and Sea Beach Wave~ Charcuterie Board ~#resinart #functionalart #acrylicart

Shelli Anderson Art 2025-07-01 | Here, I wanted to create another charcuterie board with added sand and shells. Even though I think this piece is beautiful it made me work for it. I wasn't satisfied with the composition of my first try, but I loved the lacing/cells. On the second attempt, the resin was a bit too cool, and I didn't notice. Unfortunately, it held the bubbles. As a result, I had to torch it too much, making it thin. In the end, I did not get lacing I wanted. Still...I love it!

I did get a little lacing but not exactly what I was looking for, so I enhanced it with a fine mist of alcohol. The alcohol also assists in popping bubbles! Hope you enjoy!

Shelli Anderson Art 2025-03-16 | I wanted to try another technique on my To-Do list! The Gel Plate. So I slowly gathered my supplies and decided to try and print this Iris Bud. I like the idea of being able to create my own print that can be applied to objects, as framed art or actually have printed on cloth! It was so much fun! I've watched a number of artists using this technique and I am amazed at the beauty and variety of this method.
It was trial and error but I love the whimsical nature and the vibrant colors of my final piece! Thanks for watching❤️

Shelli Anderson Art 2025-03-09 | This swipe has been on my To-Do list for quite a while, and I finally got around to trying it. It was so much fun! The palette was inspired by AJ's Painting with some changes. I love all the beautiful shimmers and vibrant colors. I wasn't happy with some areas, so I decide to do a little brush work and removed areas and added a bit more color. The resin really made them pop!

This is a 12 X 16 canvas Colors used:

Custom Mix~ TLP'S After Glow with Groovy (How I mixed these for paint pouring is listed below)
Decor Art 24 K Gold
Pour'age Posse Carolina Blue Shimmer (out of business)
Custom Mix: Purple/Pebeo Violet Blue
Pebeo Iridescent Blue/Green

Tube Paints: Mix 1 part paint, 1 part Glue-All, 1/2 to 1 part Gac800 or Liquitex Pouring medium and American Flood Floetrol to consistency.
Adjustments need to be made for craft paints and soft body paints. Also, the pigment powders need to be dispersed first..instructions below:

How I mix my Pigments:
MASK UP DURING THIS PROCESS...PIGMENTS ARE FINE PARTICLES AND BECOME AIRBORNE.

Disperse pigments in Alcohol, Jo Sonja Gloss Varnish or Liquitex high gloss varnish. I place alcohol/varnish in cup first...about 1 tsp., then place pigments on top. Mix well. The amount of pigment is determined by the depth of color you desire. After pigments are thoroughly melted then add *Liquitex Gloss Heavy Gel/ Liquitex soft Gel-adding enough so they are a tube paint consistency. It thickens quickly so be cautious of the amount of gel used. Add American Floetrol (Or you may use other pouring mediums such as Liquitex pouring medium) and mix well. The floetrol will change the color of the TLP's temporarily, but they will dry true to color.
*other glossy gels can be used....

Wintery Bloom Swipe~Benevolence #tlp

Shelli Anderson Art 2025-01-11 | I chose to experiment with the latest TLP Benevolence, a Limited Edition Pigment sold by Fluid Art Co. to support the Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief Fund. They've raised a considerable sum of money... so thank you! I wanted to try the swipe technique on a 10-inch round wooden substrate. It's been a while since I've done a bloom or swipe! Overall, I'm happy with the outcome. I may decide to embellish it with a winter scene..we’ll see!

Shelli Anderson Art 2024-11-27 | I decided to pour a Layered/Dirty Cup over a pumpkin. This one is the first of 2. I wanted to experiment with Liquid Gold Metallic. It presents a challenge. It dries quicker than Acrylics. What I LOVE about it, is the shine and the gold leaf effect. Hope you enjoy!
