XBOX ONE X Elden Ring Can Be like Stop-Motion Animation G&T After Dark 2026-09-16 | Intentionally tried Elden Ring on the Xbox One X to see how well its performance holds up. The base framerate is pretty tolerable, but interestingly enemy animations become super choppy when there's a lot happening on screen, to the point where they look like stop-motion animation (and in particular, "claymation", due to how the character models look in this version). Playing THREAT (PC, MS-DOS) and attempting to make progress G&T After Dark 2023-09-01 | Finally tracked down a full version of this obscure DOS PC title from the mid 90s. It has moody music and interesting gameplay, stacked with some cool visuals and fun weapons. I had only played the Shareware version back in the day so this is my first time seeing the second episode (along with the later levels of the first episode). I was using a Gravis Gamepad for this one and the d-pad on it is not great, with lots of accidental diagonals. Still, I manage to make it a decent way into the game. It gets very difficult and involves a lot of trial and error.
