Only about a quarter part water was added to the gold and the satin enamel, enough to equal consistency of the other colors. I added 24 K gold by Deco Art to the gold , and made a mix of Artist's Loft Copper and Modern Master's Burnt Orange. No water was added to the Liquitex paints, but a bit was added to the metallics. I swiped with an Australian Floetrol (3 parts) and Liquitex Basics Black (1 part) mix. Now I'm happy!

I bought some extra large canvasses last week and decided to create a Dutch Pour on one of them. Usually I am very pleased with the paints and recipe I use, but I mixed it up with some other paints this time and paid the price! It all worked out, though, because the next day it was still fluid enough that I was able to swipe through the areas I didn't like, and now I'm quite pleased with the final results. I added some Master's Touch Ultramarine Blue to the Egyptian Blue to thicken it up somewhat. Master's Touch Grass Green and Raw Umber, with black added to darken. All were mixed two parts American Floetrol, one part paint and one part water. Pretty runny. The swipe color was Modern Master's Brass, mixed 3 parts Australian Floetrol to one part paint, no water. #fluidart #ribbonpour #acrylicpouring
