The Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado was our first stop during our Van Life roadtrip and it did not disappoint.
We chose the Great Sand Dunes National Park because it is one of the only dog friendly national parks in Colorado, has an incredible mountain range set right beside America’s largest sand dunes, and the icing on the cake? We were able to book a campground INSIDE the National Park for two nights, so we could walk right out into the Sand Dunes from our camp site to go on our daily hikes with our "dune dog" ;)
This Colorado roadtrip would not be possible without our new favorite home on wheels, HotelVroom. We rented this fully equipped, luxury campervan that had every single amenity we could ask for: wifi, full sized bed, kitchen, indoor shower & bathroom, iPads, a SoloStove, unlimited mileage, and so much more!

In this video, we visit three of the most beautiful cultural sites in Abu Dhabi:
Qasr Al-Watan
Louvre Abu Dhabi
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
There are so many more places to visit in Abu Dhabi, but if you only have a short time in this UAE city I would recommend prioritizing these three for the best all around experience of culture, architecture and art.
One thing to keep in mind when traveling in Abu Dhabi, dress modestly at these tourist destinations. Make sure you wear long sleeves and pants, or a floor-length dress, to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Qasr Al-Watan. If you’re a woman, you should also cover your chest and your hair at the mosque.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi does not have a dress code but it is always advised to dress respectfully when visiting the UAE!
If you have any questions about traveling in the United Arab Emirates or things to do in Abu Dhabi, leave a comment down below.

Keep an eye out for a few more videos soon to come, sharing more fun things to do in Abu Dhabi! If this city isn’t on your bucket list yet, add it STAT.

Since we decided to visit Greece in November, it’s not quite swimming weather but still nice and sunny on the southern greek islands! Paros is relatively desolate of tourists during this month, so we decided to get out and explore a typically busy area of paros island, Paros Park. We were the only ones in the entire park for quite some time which gave us the opportunity to hike and explore nature in complete isolation… a day worth remembering!
This ended up being our favorite day and definitely the best thing to do in Paros if you come for holiday! Getting out into nature, seeing completely isolated greek beaches and exploring the Cyclades island without hordes of other vacationers was really special.
If you’re looking for the best island in Greece for your vacation or just a quick getaway from mainland and Athens, Paros Island is on the top of our list! Granted, we only got the chance to explore Crete and Paros, but we were blown away by the quality of these Greek Islands both in terms of location, activities, natural beauty, beaches, and culture.
If you have any questions about Paros or plan to travel Greece yourself, leave a comment down below and we’ll do our best to help :) Hope you enjoy this Greece vlog, we have a few more coming your way! Until next time, seeya!

When you think of the best places to stay in Paros, Parikia is the #1 choice for most people. Parikia is the main town in Paros and also where the ferry port is. It has the most dense population of restaurants, shops and tourist attractions on this greek island. We loved strolling through the Parikia old town in the alley ways painted with white and blue buildings.. it really felt like the "Greece" you see in the movies.
If you're looking for where to stay in Paros, Parikia is a good option. We're actually staying in Naoussa instead and like it a bit better, but it's a smaller town than Parikia. The best part of the Cyclade islands is the quaint vibe you get walking down the picturesque streets. Paros is a big fishing island so we were thrilled to be able to see the local fisherman selling their fresh catches right off the boat.
If you guys are planning to visit Greece, definitely put Paros on your list! We like it a lot so far and have plenty more Greece travel vlogs to share, both in Paros and otherwise.
Hope you guys enjoyed this one. We'll see you guys in the next video. Seeya!

Visiting Kournas Lake exceeded our expectations, so much that we'd say it's must visit! One of the best things to do in Greece during off season because you will literally have the entire lake to yourself. The lake is located 30 minutes outside the town of Rethymno Crete, and 45 minutes from Chania making Lake Kournas an easy day trip from either town in Greece.
We truly fell in love with Crete and can imagine it would be one of our favorite Greece islands. If you're looking for beaches in Crete, don't disregard the lake. It's equally as stunning as the two beaches we went to and is the only fresh water lake in all of Crete! For things to do in Crete, watch this video and our other Greece vlogs for more ideas.
We hope you guys enjoy this video and if you have any questions about Greece travel, Crete Island or what to do during your vacation, leave a comment down below. We'll miss you, Crete!

We rented a car in Chania, Crete to go visit one of the most famous Greece beaches. Seitan Limania beach is a world famous beach that is nestled in between two huge cliffs and the only way to access the sandy shore is to hike down a pretty steep mountain. Not for the faint of heart! Sometimes referred to as one of the best beaches in Crete, we would have to agree... but only in off-peak season! Usually, this tiny beach is filled to the brim with umbrellas, beach towels and sweaty, speedo wearing men lathered up in white sun screen (no thanks?). In November, we arrived to the beach to find only 5 people there, and it stayed that way throughout the entire day.
Greece is a well known travel destination for good reason, it has some amazing beaches, great food and Greece travel is relatively affordable based on other European countries. If you come to Chania looking for some amazing Crete beaches, don't miss Seitan Limania. It's an unforgettable experience and you'll have a great day hiking to and from the private paradise.
If you're interested in seeing more of the Chania Crete beaches, go watch our last video all about Elafonisi beach - otherwise known as the pink sand beach.

Elafonisi beach is known for pink sand and beautiful, clear lagoons. This day did not disappoint. This is the exact atmosphere we pictured when we thought of our Greece travel experience. Often called Elafonisi pink beach due to the sand, there is only a small strip of pink shoreline which we think is due to finely ground seashells and some other environmental factors.

The town in central PA, aka Centralia Pennsylvania lost town, is known for it’s influence on the production of Silent Hill. Many come to this town in search of urban exploring, creepy places, and graffiti, but it’s actually a local hangout spot for families, mountain bikers, and ATV riders alike. The vibe of Centralia was definitely less creepy than we expected, but I guess “ghost town” is the right word for a reason because all the houses were knocked down by the government so that homeless persons could not inhabit the area.
Centralia is actually not completely a ghost town, as 7 residents fought to stay in the town and remain there today. The town with a population of 7 has been stripped of it’s zip code and no longer has any municipal workers to maintain the area.
Centralia graffiti highway is the main destination when visiting this area and because the Centralia mine fire is still blazing today, it is slowly corroding the highway allowing smoke to billow out of the cracks during cold winter days. Another creepy fact according to History.com is “Graves in the town’s two cemeteries are believed to have dropped into the abyss of fire that rages below them.” A 12 year old boy was also reported to have fallen into a sink hole in his backyard, nearly escaping death.
Centralia was relatively lively when we visited so I don’t know if we would call it one of the creepy places Pennsylvania has to offer. It’s most likely a lot creepier during the winter when you can see smoke coming up from the ground. Either way, we hope you guys liked this video and subscribe if you want to see more content like this! We will see you guys tomorrow, seeya!

Ever since we got back from our first year of travel, I’ve been wanting to up my photography game and get into real portrait photography. We’ve always taken photos with a subject, but I was so intrigued by the cool, up-close and personal portrait photos seen all over on Instagram. I’ve wanted to try some of the portrait photography ideas we've written down for a LONG time, but I felt I wasn’t a good enough photographer to take shots like that - plus Stacia is a little self conscious about being the “model” 😂
Well, that ends today! 💪🏻 I’m going to start thinking out of the box more often, try to take my IG game to the next level, and start creating some Instagram bangers 📸
Do you guys like vlogs like this with photo ideas, instagram hacks and behind the scenes stuff? Let us know if the comments! While we are in Philly it's fun for us to test out different photography ideas and portrait concepts and we had a great time filming this one! See you guys in the next video, seeya!

Even though my gear is listed on our website (http://www.deathbyvlog.com) everyone always asks “what camera did you shoot that on?”. So today I’m breaking down, piece by piece, what’s in my camera bag 2019 edition. To make the most out of your gear and shift into cinematography style shooting, it’s important to have a range of good lenses to get both tight and wide angle shots. The Sony A7III is my new favorite camera body to use with these lenses because of the incredible focus and tracking abilities alongside better battery life and a 24 megapixel sensor.
I’ll break down some of the shots I’ve taken with each one of these lenses, and if you want to pick one up for your own use, all of this photography and videography gear can be found linked below or on our website - which stays updated with the latest sony cameras, lenses, and accessories we’re using.
If you’re looking for the best vlogging camera, definitely consider the Sony line for their incredible quality and ongoing innovation. I don’t know if the best camera for vlogging exists yet, but when it does we’re betting it will be released from Sony.
That’s it guys, I hope you enjoyed this video talking about whats in my camera bag and as always if you have any questions leave it in the comments below! We’ll see you guys in the next video. Seeya!

There are so many places to find good shopping in Delhi, we almost didn’t know where to start. Since we were staying in South Delhi, we found two local Indian markets nearby that were highly rated as some of the best shopping in India. Our first stop was a lively market called Lajpat Nagar Market, named after the freedom fighter of India. Here you will find mostly clothes for women, handmade shoes, and fabrics all for incredibly affordable prices! We bought a shirt for $5 USD, a pair of handmade shoes for $5 USD, and some pillows for $1.50 each! Lajpat Nagar is definitely the place to come if you’re looking to partake in some bargaining in India, just make sure you don’t bargain at a fixed price shop.
Next we went to Dilli Haat market which is an amazing market filled with local handicraftsman representing every state in India. At Dillii Haat, we were able to see what crafts came from which states in India, giving us a real taste for the creative culture of the country. We loved Dilli Haat and the talented sellers that we went on a little India shopping spree here! We bought a handmade, wool floor rug (which was huge) for only $48 USD, three handmade leather purses for $15 - $20 USD each, and a handmade wool scarf for only $9 USD.
If you are looking for some of the best India shopping, we can highly recommend Dilli Haat in New Delhi. It has a great mixture of good from throughout the country and you are supporting local artisans while buying. Out of all the markets in Delhi, this one was our favorite!
Thanks to our best friend in India, Minokshi, for hanging out with us again! We were able to get better prices with her around, she’s a tough negotiator :)
If you’re looking for cheap shopping in India or other countries across the world, visit our channel and watch the other “best markets” videos. There are some amazing places to shop across the world. If you are considering traveling to India, please feel free to comment down below and ask about anything from what to do in Delhi, where to stay, or if it’s safe for women.

First, we want to show you around a rich neighborhood in India because too often tourists show the less affluent neighborhoods of the country. Many of you asked to see the "Modern India" and this is it! If you are traveling to India and will be in Delhi, we highly recommend staying at Arman the Green B&B. The rooms are beautiful and well decorated while the owners are incredibly friendly! There is 24 hour security and a full kitchen staff that cooks your meals upon request. If you're looking for the best hotels in Delhi, skip the major hotel brands and stay at Arman! No, we did not get a discount for showing you this India hotel tour, we just loved the place that much.
* Book Your Stay: armandelhi.com
Next we head over to Greater Kailash to walk around the hip neighborhoods in South Delhi. That's when we walked into an Airtel and found out about the phone data scam in India. When we landed in India in Bangalore, we went to get an Airtel sim card. The guy charged us $20usd each for 30 days of data. We had no idea that it was possible for a large company like this to be involved in one of the many tourist scams in India. We were a little upset to find out that a 30 day sim card with Airtel data only costs $2-3 usd. This was our first and only time being scammed in India, so watch out for this and store this away as an India travel tip if you plan on traveling to India for tourism.
As in every country, foreigners getting scammed is a relatively common occurrence. If you plan to travel India, just read up on the common Indian scams and be aware. We had an amazing time in India, particularly South Delhi, and encourage you to visit if you are interested in seeing a deep rooted culture, kind people, and amazing food. If you need a great airbnb in Delhi don't forget about Arman the Green B&B! Tell everyone we said hi :)

This was Ryan’s first time trying Indian food, so for everyone who has been pestering him to try new foods, this is the video to watch!! With the help of our friend Minokshi, Ryan was able to try some of the best food in India and he loved it!
Our first stop on our Delhi food tour was Moti Mahal, a historic restaurant in Old Delhi which is said to have made the first ever butter chicken. Stacia also got a little adventurous and ordered Goat Brain Masala. Needless to say, the butter chicken was the star of this show ;) If you are looking for a good place to enjoy some Old Delhi food, Moti Mahal is our top choice for restaurants.
Second we ventured down to South Delhi to try one of the best Biriyani dishes in the city at Al-Nawaz. The biriyani is special here because it is made with raw spices instead of power, giving it a full natural flavor. The biriyani was one of the cheapest items in our Delhi Food Vlog coming in at 200 Rupee or $2.80 and feeds 2 people.
Third, and possibly our favorite, was a taste of South Indian food at Saravana Bhavan. We ordered paper dosa cooked in Indian ghee, Indian filter coffee, and some amazing desserts!
We then ventured into Old Delhi to see a little bit more of the Delhi street food scene. We kept seeing these round fried balls on the street and these street food stalls are always so busy! We found out the snack is called Pani Puri, a fried wheat ball filled with either tangy or sweet liquid made to order. Pani Puri is considered some of the most popular and best food in India, as many commuters stand at the Pani Puri stalls for a quick snack while moving throughout their day.
Next up on the Indian street food tour we found ourselves at a night market near Jama Masjid. Some of the best street foods in Delhi is said to be lining these streets that come alive every night until almost midnight. We were here to go to the oldest restaurant in Delhi, Karim’s, to sample their famous Kebabs. Tucked away in an alley, we found the restaurant packed to the brim. The kebabs were good, but it’s the history that made this place special. If you’re wondering what to eat in Delhi, don’t miss the oldest and most historic restaurant in the city!
Last, but certainly not least, was a street food dessert made from carrots, pistachios, curd, and cashews. It sounds strange, but it was so good! Even though we were so full, this was one of our favorite little dishes. If you’re into street food India definitely has some of the best.
Thanks to Minokshi, we were able to try the best Indian food in Delhi and have an amazing experience. No, we did not get sick, so if you are interested in trying some of the best food in India make sure you follow this list! We hope you guys liked this Delhi food vlog and let us know if you have any questions.
We have some more India videos coming out soon, so make sure to subscribe! If you are considering traveling to India, please feel free to comment down below and ask about anything from what to do in Delhi, where to stay, or if it’s safe for women.
If you enjoyed this video, go check out of playlist filled with street food videos from across the world. Thanks for watching, we’ll see you guys in the next video… seeya!

Walking down the streets of Old Delhi, we were so overwhelmed with smells, sounds, and people. We can’t believe this is Delhi, India! It’s just like something we’ve never experienced before and I think it’s hard to even capture it on film. If you plan to travel to India, you’ll soon know what we mean. However, the two places we visited are some of the best places in Delhi to visit once you arrive in India.
Our first stop was Jama Masjid which is a mosque in Old Delhi, India. The mosque itself was built in 1656 AD and it’s courtyard can hold up to 25,000 people at one time for payer. Jama Masjid is absolutely gorgeous, but make sure you follow the non-muslim visiting hours. Even though we arrived during non-muslim visiting hours, we got kicked out. That was pretty disappointing because we wanted to film a bit more there and show you the beauty of this place in our India travel vlog. But, rules are rules! A little tip, if you bring a camera into the mosque it’s 300 Rupee per person ($4 usd)
Next we walked through the streets of Delhi and got a taste for local life in India. We walked through the Old Delhi neighborhood and saw vegetable markets set up on the sidewalk, morning commuters grabbing coffee from their favorite stand, and witnessed what living in India must feel like.
We then headed over to central Delhi to visit Humayun’s Tomb. If you ask anyone what to do in Delhi, they will tell you to visit Humayun’s Tomb. Built in the mid 1500’s by Persian architects, the monument was actually the structure that inspired the famous Taj Mahal. Now that’s some serious history! Although the Taj Mahal gets all the credit, Humayun’s Tomb is absolutely breathtaking and it was the first structure of it’s size to be built in all red sandstone.
Being our first time in Delhi, we think these two attractions were a great introduction into the history of the city and to India as a whole. Both Jama Masjid and Humayun’s Tomb are two things we recommend you must do in Delhi! A lot of people take Delhi as a starting point to go explore other places in India, however we think New Delhi city is a great place to experience the culture of India without too many tourists weighing down your experience.
We hope you enjoyed seeing our first time in India! We are exploring hidden gems, India street food, and tourist spots in Delhi India for the next two weeks. So make sure to subscribe for more India travel vlogs!

If you’re looking for the best things to do in Sri Lanka, we’re sure you’ve heard all about Ella. A mountain town in middle country Sri Lanka, Ella is famous for it’s hilly landscape, lush green tea plantations, and the iconic Nine Arch Bridge. We took a short hike down a path early in the morning to see 9 Arch Bridge, and wow was it worth it! It’s best to get to the site early to avoid crowds, however be sure to stick around for a train time because you don’t want to miss seeing one soar through the Nine Arch Bridge tunnel.
Next up on the list of things to do in Sri Lanka is visit Ravana Falls, one of the widest waterfalls in the entire country. Ravana Falls are a short 15 minute drive outside of Ella town and are well worth a stop! This is not the most impressive of waterfalls in Sri Lanka, however during rainy season the water cascades heavily down an extremely tall series of rocks and boulders that is well worth a visit.
Last but certainly not least on our list of best things to do in Ella Sri Lanka is a hike up Little Adams Peak. This 45 minute hike takes you through gorgeous tea plantations and a steep climb about midway through. But don’t worry, there were people of all ages and physical ability taking the hike up. We highly suggest visiting Little Adams Peak for a 360 degree view of Ella and it’s surroundings. The base of the hike is just a short 15 minute walk from main Ella town, so there is no excuse not to see it!
If you have any other questions about Sri Lanka travel please let us know! We spent one month visiting the famous places in Sri Lanka and making travel vlogs throughout the country. If you enjoyed this Ella travel guide, please subscribe to the channel and leave a comment down below to tell us where you’re from! Hope you enjoyed this one and we’ll see you guys in the next video, seeya!

We got to Hikkaduwa beach early in the morning and we were sad to learn there were no baby sea turtles being released into the ocean that morning. We then decided to head over to a turtle hatchery north of Hikkaduwa Beach to see if they would release any sea turtles that evening. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any luck there either and the turtle hatchery was quite sad. All of the turtles were confined in smaller tanks and we weren’t sure how humane the whole program was.
A nice local gentleman told us that the local Sri Lankan coast guard would be releasing turtles that night, so we went back to Hikkaduwa Beach to check in with them. They confirmed they would release baby sea turtles that night, but not until 6pm.
With 5 hours to kill, we walked around the beaches in Sri Lanka and enjoyed some of the local shops in Hikkaduwa town. A bit later, we went to turtle beach, also known as turtle point, to feed the huge green turtles that come to feed every night at 5pm. We got so lucky to see 5 giant wild sea turtles and feed them with our own hands! If you’re looking to see turtles in Sri Lanka, this is definitely the spot.
Last but certainly not least, we went to the coast guard to wait for the baby sea turtle release. Our hearts were broken when we heard that there wouldn’t be a turtle release because not enough of the eggs had hatched. Luckily, they saw how sad we were and agreed to do a smaller scale wild sea turtles release! We highly recommend coming to visit the Coast Guard on Hikkaduwa beach instead of visiting a turtle hatchery in Sri Lanka. The coast guard runs a completely free operation and can ensure the turtles are released into the while the second they are ready unlike the hatcheries.
If you are interested in a Sri Lanka beach holiday, Hikkaduwa beach is a great place to start and discover Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Being able to feed and release baby sea turtles into the wild was a once in a lifetime experience! If you have any questions about the best places to visit in Sri Lanka, how to explore Sri Lanka, or any questions about the baby sea turtles please comment down below. We know there is a lack of information online about the turtles in Hikkaduwa beach, so we would love to help! Make sure to subscribe if you are interested in cinematic Sri Lanka travel vlogs. We will see you guys in the next video. Seeya!

One of the best places to visit in Sri Lanka is Galle, a colonial fort city and the largest city in Southern Sri Lanka. We started the day flying the drone on Galle beach which looked to be a fantastic getaway spot for tourists and locals alike. We met a really nice Sri Lankan family and it was nice to get some warm Sri Lankan hospitality!
We then headed to the famous Galle lighthouse, which we’re sure you’ve seen all over your instagram feed. The Galle lighthouse is the southern most tip of Galle city and serves as a big tourist attraction right on the water.
After the lighthouse, we headed over to the Galle clock tower to see the actual fort which was first constructed by the Portuguese. The fort was massive and we had a great time exploring that part of history from one of the oldest cities in Sri Lanka.
By this time, we’ve worked up quite an appetite so into the city we went! It’s the colonial charm that makes Galle so special and if you want to explore Sri Lanka in a more modern way, Galle is the city for you. With streets upon street of cute local shops and restaurants, Galle city has everything you need for a holiday or day long visit.
If you have any questions about the best places to go to discover Sri Lanka, things to do in Galle including the fort city or beach, leave a comment down below and we will answer as soon as possible! Our friends from Sri Lanka invited us to come hang out at their villa, have some drinks, and enjoy a night out in South Sri Lanka. Little did we know, they were staying at one of nicest hotels in Sri Lanka we have ever seen! The Thalduwa Island Villas operate as more of an airbnb and independent rental than a hotel, but you can rent out individual private rooms for a couples retreat or a whole villa to fit 10-16 people! If you’re heading to Ahangama Sri Lanka, especially for some good surf, then we can highly recommend these villas as a luxury travel getaway.
After spending some time hanging out by the pool, drinking some local arrack aka coconut whiskey, and then drinking some more, we called it a night and had to say goodbye to this amazing luxury villa in Sri Lanka.
The next day we went out to lunch with our new favorite couple Dimithri and David! They showed us some really amazing Sri Lankan hospitality over the course of the past two weeks and we couldn’t be more thankful to have them in the DBVFam! The rest of the video is really us just walking the beach near Unawatuna, but we needed to show you that luxury travel in Sri Lanka is extremely possible!
Last but not least, there is ONE WEEK left in the “Top 5 Travel Vloggers for 2019” poll that is live on our website. Go vote for DeathByVlog by clicking this link: http://www.deathbyvlog.com/vote
If you want to book this villa you can visit their website here: http://thalduwaislandvillas.com
Disclaimer: We did not get a free stay or paid to promote for them! We just loved this place and wanted to share a good spot with you.
If you have any questions about South Sri Lanka, where to stay in Sri Lanka, or anything regarding travel, leave us a comment down below and we will answer you promptly! Thanks for watching this raw vlog, stay tuned for a cinematic travel vlog coming in a few days. Until then, seeya!

We started off our Sri Lanka trip by taking a self guided Colombo city tour. Because it is our first time in Sri Lanka, we wanted to dive right into the local culture, so we headed to the Pettah district. The Pettah Market in Sri Lanka is a famous local street market in one of the oldest districts in all of Colombo city. When we arrived, the market was filled with people, vendors, street food, and signage all over. Talk about sensory overload! If you are looking to experience the real Sri Lankan culture, don’t miss visiting Pettah during your Colombo travel day.
Next up, we remained in the Pettah district and visited Jami Ul Alfar Mosque, otherwise known as the Red Mosque of Sri Lanka. This place was absolutely stunning and is one of the oldest mosques built in Colombo Sri Lanka dating back to 1905. The candy stripe appeal is what brought us there, but the architecture and history is fantastic as well. Although tourists aren’t able to visit much of the mosque, we were happy to visit and take a look around.
Heading outside of Pettah, we rode our first Sri Lankan tuk tuk to Colombo 02. Although Colombo is one of the biggest cities in Sri Lanka, the ride only took us about 15 minutes from Pettah to Colombo 02. When you come to Colombo Sri Lanka, don’t miss the fantastic buddhist temples which are so different from any we’ve seen across Southeast Asia. We visited both Gangaramaya Temple and and Seema Malakaya. They were beautiful.
If you’re wondering what to do in Colombo Sri Lanka, this video will serve as a great guide for things you can see in just one day. Many travelers skip over Colombo while visiting Sri Lanka, but it has some of the best places in Sri Lanka in terms of culture and liveliness. If you’re interested in more Sri Lanka travel vlog videos, you’re in luck! We have a full month of videos coming showing you the best cities in Sri Lanka along with the most stunning beaches in Southern Sri Lanka.

During our short stay in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the one vlog we wanted to make was a temples of Angkor video. Of course, first up on our list was Angkor Wat. We were initially skeptical of visiting Angkor Wat due to the fact that over 2 million people visit this Khmer temple every year. We couldn’t stop wondering, is Angkor Wat worth visiting? We set out on a mission to let you guys know! When we arrived at the temple, we were pleasantly surprised that there were very few people there. One of our biggest tips to visiting Angkor Wat would be skip the sunrise and head to the temple around noon on a weekday. If you can handle the direct sunlight and heat, you will be rewarded with practically empty temple grounds just like us! Right as we were leaving around 2pm the crowds started flowing into Angkor Wat again right was we were leaving.
Angkor Wat is the biggest temple in the world and it is also known as the best temple in Siem Reap Cambodia. I don’t know if we can whole heartedly agree that it’s the “best” temple, but it certainly is the most famous of the Siem Reap temples. Although ticket prices are steep, $37 for a 1 day pass, the answer to the question is Angkor Wat worth visiting is yes. The temple is certainly worth seeing and the ticket price covers your admission to many other temples in Siem Reap throughout the Angkor Archaeological Park.
We were dead set on finding some temples other than Angkor Wat to show you guys, since it’s so heavily covered already on YouTube. We found the most beautiful little temple about an hours motorbike ride north of Angkor Wat called Bantaey Srei Temple. Bantaey Srei is a small temple made almost entirely out of pink sandstone which is a gorgeous color and a material suitable for easy carving. The intricate carvings are definitely the highlight of Bantaey Srei. We suggest heading there around golden hour, 3-5pm so you can see the amazing soft light illuminate the pink sandstone. This temple was not crowded when we got there at 4pm, however we did see tour buses leaving when we arrived. Overall, we recommend this as a good Angkor Wat alternative, however you won’t see the grand size of Angkor Wat Temple here. Overall, it’s best to couple Bantaey Srei with Angkor for a full Siem Reap temple experience.
If you have any questions about the history of Angkor Wat, tips for visiting Angkor Wat or anything regarding travel in general, please leave a comment down below! Unfortunately, this is our one and only Cambodia travel vlog as we were very tied up with work over the two weeks we stayed in Siem Reap Cambodia. However, we loved Cambodia so much we are already planning a trip to visit the southern islands. Although we didn’t film, we did a lot of other things during our stay so if you have any questions on what to do in Siem Reap please let us know. Until next time, seeya!

After visiting dozens of traditional Thai temples throughout our travels, we decided to visit the unique and unconventional temples during our trip to Chiang Rai. Our first stop, bright and early, was to the famous Thailand White Temple, also known as Wat Rong Khun. It is an absolute necessity to arrive at the Chiang Rai White Temple early, 8am to be exact, to avoid the massive amounts of crowds that surround the temple around early afternoon. The White Temple is owned by a popular artist from Chiang Rai Thailand who has grown to be one of the most influential artists in the country. Although the Wat Rong Khun is not traditional, it is one of the most unique Thailand temples in existence. The Chiang Rai White Temple is open from 8am-6pm and costs 50 Baht to enter.
Our second stop of the day was the Chiang Rai Blue Temple, also known as Wat Rong Seur Ten. We put this on our list of top 3 temples in Chiang Rai because of the sheer artistry that went into creating this temple. In fact, the Blue Temple in Chiang Rai was created by an artist who was a student of the creator of the White Temple. For that reason, you will see similar styles of art between the two temples. The most impressive aspect of the Blue Temple was easily the inside. Unlike the White Temple, you can film and take pictures inside of the Blue Temple. Wow, were we happy about that! The inside of Wat Rong Seur Ten is something out of a Michelangelo painting, it’s that amazing. The entire inside, along with every inch of wall and ceiling is completely covered in amazing mural art and religious design. It’s a sight to behold. The Chiang Rai Blue Temple is open from 8am-8pm and has a free admission.
Lastly, we visited the Chiang Rai Black House, which isn’t a temple per say but rather a museum. Many people also call this the “Black Temple” because most of it’s buildings are designed in a Thai temple style. The Black House is the lifetime collection of yet another famous Thai artist which he leaves on display for tourists traveling through Chiang Rai. The Black House grounds actually consist of 40 buildings on a vast landscape, so crowds aren’t really an issue unlike the other two temples. The Black House has the most expensive admission at 80 Baht per person, and is open from 9am-5pm.
If you have any questions about the top 3 temples in Chiang Rai please leave a comment down below and we will respond as soon as possible. We highly recommend seeing all three locations including the Thailand White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House and it’s grounds. We hope you enjoyed our latest Chiang Rai Thailand travel vlog. We took a 4 hour bus ride from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai to spend a few days there over the Christmas holiday. When we were looking for what to do in Chiang Rai, you either find temples or night markets. Since we are heading to visit the temples tomorrow, we thought it would be fun to visit the Sunday Night Market in Chiang Rai and compare it to the one in Chiang Mai.
But first, we went to a Cat Cafe in downtown Chiang Rai Thailand to have our first cat cafe experience. As we sipped our coffee, we got to watch and play with the most adorable cats! Although it isn’t a big attraction, the cafe is very popular and we would definitely recommend putting it on your list of where to go in Chiang Rai if you like animals.
After we settled into our cute Airbnb (http://bit.ly/2BFUlrN) we headed into town to visit the Chiang Rai Night Bazaar and Sunday night market, both are on the list of the best things to do in Chiang Rai. We ended up spending all of our time at the Sunday night market because it was much bigger than we thought! If you love night markets in Thailand as much as we do, then we highly suggest the two in Chiang Rai for a fun night out.
The clean Chiang Rai air must have messed with Ryan’s head because he ordered more Thai street food at the night market than I did! How is that possible?! The street food in Chiang Rai was far superior to the street food we found at the Chiang Mai market. We aren’t sure why this is, but the Thai street food here was so fresh and delicious.
If you have any questions about activities in Chiang Rai, the night market in Chiang Rai Thailand or just anything having to do with Thailand in general, leave us a comment down below! We have lived in Thailand for 4 months and have a tons of videos about Thailand street food, temples in Thailand as well as full travel guides for you to enjoy.

We decided to film this Thai food vlog at Chang Phuak Night Market; an unassuming local hawker center just north of the northern-most old city gate. We came to this food market for one reason, the Cowboy Lady. Anthony Bourdain raved about her version of Khao Kha Moo which is braised pork leg served over rice with broth. Is it worth making the special trip for? Watch and see!
Next we tried the most famous dish in Northern Thailand. Khao Soi is an absolute must try food in Chiang Mai made as a curry, coconut noodle dish and is served with chicken or pork and topped with crispy fried noodles. I won’t even leave you guys hanging with this one, it was amazing! If you are looking to try the best Thai street food during your holiday, you have to hunt down Khao Soi in Chiang Mai. Make sure to look for this dish only in Northern Thailand because you can’t find it in most other provinces in Thailand.
It’s really tough to say where the best street food in Chiang Mai is located because every street food stall in this mountain town takes serious pride in their cooking. That’s why I didn’t plan the rest of the Thailand street food tour, I just decided to “wing” it. That’s my dorky transition into telling you that the next dish I tried was a grilled chicken wing… haha :) For less than $1 USD, the chicken wing was huge and delicious.
Last but not least, no street food in Chiang Mai video would be complete without trying Thai desserts. We kept the adventure going and decided to order a green bread dessert with a pandan and coconut cream dip. Since our sweet tooth is basically the size of Thailand, we also went to our favorite set of Chiang Mai street food vendors over on Nimmanhaemin Road to get some mango sticky rice! Although Ryan isn’t adventurous with street food, he will say that mango sticky rice is the best Thai food there is. He’s addicted. Speaking of Ryan, we also got him an incredible burger from a food truck in the Nimman neighborhood. So if for some reason you’re sick of Thai food (um, what?) head on over to Kitchen with Soh-ly and grab yourself the best burger in Chiang Mai.
That’s it for our Chiang Mai street food tour! If you have any questions on where to eat in Chiang Mai, what the must try food in Chiang Mai is, or anything regarding Thailand leave us a comment down below. We have lived and worked in Thailand for a total of 4 months this year and truly love this country. We hope you enjoyed seeing some famous Northern Thai food along with some classic Thai street food staples in this video. Make sure to check out our other Thailand travel vlogs which are located on our channel page. We will see you guys in the next video, seeya!

If you’re looking for fun things to do in Chiang Mai, a road trip (or motorbike trip) should be high on your list. Unlike the Mae Hong Son loop which takes multiple days and is difficult for a short holiday in Chiang Mai, the Samoeng loop only takes 2 hours and has amazing stops along the way!
If you start on the Samoeng loop heading North, you can reach the Mae Sa Waterfall in just 30 minutes by motorbike. Although this isn’t on the top list of the most impressive waterfalls in Chiang Mai, Mae Sa waterfall has 10 different mini waterfalls that you can hike to and look at. Fall #5 you can even swim in and have a picnic by, which is a popular local activity for Thai’s and tourists alike.
To get the best views in Chiang Mai, keep going on the Samoeng loop until you reach the middle which is an area called Samoeng Tai. Basically, you can pull over anywhere along this route and see amazing views of all of the hills and valleys surrounding Chiang Mai Thailand.
We were lucky enough to find a secret spot, with nobody else around, that had the best views in Chiang Mai! The place is a coffee shop and hotel called: น้องน้ำ รีสอร์ท. Now since we don’t speak Thai, I don’t know what that means so here is the address: น้องน้ำ รีสอร์ท Tambon Samoeng Tai, Amphoe Samoeng, Chang Wat Chiang Mai 50250
If you are looking to do an easy Thailand road trip then we highly recommend the Samoeng Loop! It’s a great Mae Hong Son Loop alternative and an easy day trip in Chiang Mai for those of you who only have a few days to see the sights. We suggest taking the Samoeng Loop to explore the Chiang Mai countryside and all the beautiful Thai nature. Although you can rent a car, your best bet is to rent a motorbike in Chiang Mai for the day to take you on this route. Ours was only $9 USD for an entire 24 hours.
If you have questions about this Chiang Mai road trip, want more travel tips in Chiang Mai, or are curious about Chiang Mai travel in general, feel free to watch our other Thailand travel vlogs! We provide useful travel guides for the places we visit and have spent 4 months in Thailand sharing the best places to visit, both on and off the tourist trail. Many tour companies in Chiang Mai offer a “hill tribe tour”, only to take you to a contrived Thai village that only exists to serve tourists. What Thailand Hilltribe Holidays does, is offer you a 100% authentic Northern Thailand Hill Tribe tour without any other tourists with you. We were taken to two villages: the Karen Hill Tribe and Hmong Hill Tribe.
* Book this tour with Thailand Hilltribe Holidays: http://bit.ly/2zQzOk8
First was the Karen Hill Tribe in Northern Thailand where we were able to meet a village family and cook with them. Being able to cook with a hill tribe family was one of the most unique experiences in Thailand we have had in all 4 months here! The main dishes were sticky rice cooked inside of bamboo and a mix of curries, however we were able to try some exotic Thai food when they served frog soup! Watch and see how Ryan got tricked into eating this… haha!
The next stop on our Hill Tribe Village tour was the Hmong Hill Tribe village, also located in Northern Thailand inside of Doi Suthep National Park. The Hmong village was more advanced than the Karen, and quite resembled a traditional Thai village you might have seen a decade ago. Since so many people travel Thailand each year, it’s becoming more difficult to find the “local Thailand” visitors crave to see. We can guarantee you by taking this tour, you will have a one of a kind, unforgettable experience.
* Want to learn more about this authentic Thailand Hill Tribe tour? Read our blog here: http://bit.ly/2GlUB50
If you’re wondering what to do in Chiang Mai but don’t want to hit up the popular tourist spots, then this authentic Northern Thailand Hill Tribe tour is for you. It took us a lot of research to find this experience, since it’s not on any of the Chiang Mai to do lists you find online. We hope by watching this video you were able to get an inside look into life for a local Thailand hill tribe and are inspired to take a hill tribe tour yourself!
If you have any questions about this must do in Chiang Mai, how to travel Thailand, or the best things to do in Chiang Mai, feel free to leave a comment down below. We also have a huge list of Thailand travel vlogs you can watch to help plan your trip to Northern Thailand, Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket, or Chiang Mai.

We’re sure you’ve seen it. Whether on Instagram, YouTube, or in the Tangled lantern scene, the Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai Thailand has stolen the hearts of travelers worldwide. That was certainly the case for us! Formally known as the Yi Peng Lantern Festival, it takes place in November on the full moon in Northern Thailand, specifically in Chiang Mai. We essentially planned our entire trip to Southeast Asia surrounding the lantern festival, making sure we would be in Chiang Mai to witness this famous lanternfest.
**Buy your tickets to the Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai Thailand here: http://bit.ly/2DZwl6n
Yi Peng, sometimes spelled Yee Peng, is held during the same time as the Loy Krathong festival, however they are two separate Thailand holiday’s. Loy Krathong is the river floating lantern festival and Yi Peng is the sky lantern festival. This mass lantern release in particular was held at the Cowboy Army Riding Club. We were able to enjoy traditional Thai food, a Thai dance, Buddhist Monk ceremony, and release our sky lanterns along with 5,000 others into the night sky. To be honest, we got a little emotional… and if you’ve ever attended, you can understand why. The Yi Peng Lantern Festival is considered one of the best of Thailand celebrations, and for good reason. The floating lantern festival premise is gaining popularity and new events are popping up worldwide. But, if you want to experience the original mass lantern release, then you absolutely must purchase your tickets to the lantern festival in Chiang Mai Thailand!
**Read our entire Yi Peng Lantern Festival guide & blog article here: http://bit.ly/2Peq0Wb
Although this was a paid event, there is a wonderful free Yi Peng sky lantern festival celebration held throughout the city of Chiang Mai Thailand. Although the free event is wonderful, don’t expect to see this many lanterns concentrated in one place. To get this experience, you must purchase tickets to any of the Yi Peng events for the lantern festival in Chiang Mai.
If you have any questions about the Yi Peng Lantern Festival, the Loy Krathong Festival (watch our previous video to see that), tips on how to travel Thailand, or are simply wondering what to do in Chiang Mai, leave a comment down below! We will answer any of your questions :) Thank you for watching our latest Thailand travel vlog and we hope to see you in the next video! Happy ยี่เป็ง - Sawadeeka!
Thank you to Asia Highlights (.com) for providing us VIP Tickets to the Yi Peng 2018 Thailand Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai!

If your’e wondering what is Loy Krathong, your’e not alone! It is a popular Thailand celebration that happens across the country on the full moon in November. The Loy Krathong Festival (also spelled Lai Krathong) happens during the same time as the Yi Peng Festival (also spelled Yee Peng) however they are not the same. Many people call this three day holiday in Thailand the Thailand Lantern Festival, but these celebrations are two completely separate festivals.
Loy Krathong is a floating lantern festival that happens for three full days on the full moon of the 12th month in the Thai Lunar Calendar. Loy means “to float” and Krathong means “basket”. So, during Loy Krathong locals and tourists purchase a floating lantern made out of bamboo, banana leaves, and flowers to illuminate and send floating down the river. Once you release your Krathong down the river, it is said that all of your sins from the previous year will be washed away.
The Loy Krathong festival is NOT a sky lantern festival. The sky lantern festival is called Yi Peng, Yee Peng, or ยี่เป็ง and is only celebrated in Chiang Mai, Thailand. If your’e interested in seeing the Yi Peng Festival in Chiang Mai, we will show that to you guys in the next video. We’ll warn you now, it’s epic! Make sure you’re subscribed to see the the most incredible Thailand lantern festival.
We had an amazing time during the Chiang Mai floating lantern festival and were honored to take part in one of the most popular events in Thailand. Although we missed Songrakon in Bangkok which is the biggest festival in Thailand by just 3 days, we were so thankful we got to cross this off our travel bucket list.
If you are interested in seeing more Thailand travel vlogs, coverage of the Chiang Mai lantern festival, or other videos showcasing the best of Chiang Mai, make sure to subscribe! We have lived in Thailand for 4 months and are sharing helpful information on how to travel Thailand comfortably. We’re happy you found this video and we can’t wait to share more footage of the Chiang Mai floating lantern festival in the next video! Until next time, sea!

If you are coming to travel Thailand on holiday, it’s likely you won’t have nearly enough time to visit all 300 temples in Chiang Mai Thailand. So, we are sharing the 3 best temples in Chiang Mai you should visit to get the biggest diversity in styles and cultures.
The first temple we visited was the Silver Temple Chiang Mai. This temple was easily the most unique temple we have ever seen and it sat beside a silversmith village. The entire temple was plated in silver and metal in 2008 as a tribute to the heavy influence silver had on northern Thai history. So, you’re wondering which temples women can’t enter? The Silver temple is one of them. We love sharing facts about Thailand when we come across them, and this was a piece of Thailand information we could not pass up. As we arrived at the silver temple, sure enough we were greeted with a big “Women can’t enter silver temple” sign. The history behind this Thai rule stems from an old Buddhist rule that states the presence of a woman can disrupt relics and energy that are found throughout the temples. If a women does enter one of the temples in Thailand that is marked as forbidden, it is said they will experience bodily harm.
The next temple is called Wat Chedi Luang and it’s one of the most popular places to visit in Chiang Mai due to it’s central proximity in the Old City. Wat Chedi Luang is a standing piece of Thai history, as it survived an earthquake in the early 1500’s which demolished the top half of the pagoda. One of the more interesting facts about Thailand originated here with a tree planted centuries ago right next to Wat Chedi Luang. It is said that the tree is the protector of the region and if it falls, a big catastrophe will take place.
One of the last, and arguably most magnificent, temples in Chiang Mai we visited was Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. This temple is on everyones list of the top things to do in Chiang Mai. The Doi Suthep Temple is one of the holiest buddhist temples in all of the world, as it is said to hold the shoulder bone of Buddha himself. This makes Wat Phra That Doi Suthep a popular buddhist pilgrimage site and also one of the most culturally rich places to see while you travel Thailand.
If you guys enjoyed seeing our Top 3 list of the best temples in Chiang Mai, give this video a thumbs up! Which temples are you planning on visiting? Are you upset by the Buddhist rule that women can’t enter some temples? We are living in Chiang Mai Thailand for 2 months, so be sure to stick around and see more Thailand travel vlogs. If you want to learn more facts about Thailand, go see our Thailand travel vlogs in Bangkok and Southern Thailand. Also, don’t forget to leave us a comment down below, subscribe, and tell us which temple was your favorite! We will see you guys in the next video. Seeya!

One of our favorite things to do while traveling, particularly in Thailand, is to visit a night market. Here at the Chiang Mai Sunday night market, also referred to as the Chiang Mai walking street, you can eat local Thai street food, shop for handmade clothing, and barter for a bargain. Markets are notoriously known to have some of the most unique shopping in Chiang Mai, and this one is by far the best.
The incredible and distinguishing factor of the Sunday night market Chiang Mai is the atmosphere. The market is located in the old city of Chiang Mai Thailand which is surrounded by beautiful buddhist temples and 14th century buildings. You will find most of the Thai street food at the Sunday night market & walking street located on different temple grounds. Is there a better way to enjoy local Thailand cuisine while gazing up at a beautifully ornate buddhist temple? That’s what we call food with a view!
This Chiang Mai market doesn’t get called the best market in Chiang Mai for nothing. The city completely shuts down Ratchadamneon Road for 1.2 Kilometers, so if you plan to visit you better bring your walking shoes! One of the best things about night markets in Thailand is that they stay open late. The night market in Chiang Mai is open each sunday from roughly 5pm - midnight so you will have the chance to see almost every vendor and fulfill your shopping needs. Speaking of shopping in Chiang Mai, don’t forget to test out your haggling skills with is acceptable at all night markets in Chiang Mai. Stacia is absolutely terrible at haggling, but to be fair she was up against a really stern Thai woman who wasn’t going to budge on the price of her dress. Ryan on the other hand is a great haggler even though we left the market empty handed.
If you’re interested in fun things to do in Chiang Mai, we highly recommend the Chiang Mai Sunday night market. The Chiang Mai Sunday night market & walking street is consistently regarded as one of the best things to do in Chiang Mai. If you are interested in learning about or seeing other night markets in Thailand, head over to our Instagram account and watch the IGTV story of eating bizarre Thai street food at the Krabi night market. We also have a video on the biggest market in Thailand called the Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok.
If you guys liked this video, subscribe and give it a thumbs up! We are living in Chiang Mai Thailand for 2 months, so be sure to stick around and see more of the best things to do in Chiang Mai. Don’t forget to leave us a comment down below and tell us which Thai street food, particularly northern Thai food, you want to see in our Chiang Mai Thailand food video. Seeya!

Our new friend, Nate, messaged us on Instagram to show us around Bali and explore the best Bali waterfalls on the island. He brought us to Aling Aling waterfall, which is actually a series of 4 waterfalls in Bali that are completely breathtaking. Here, not only can you witness a Bali waterfall that will take your breath away, but you can cliff jump too!
We started the day admiring the beauty of Aling Aling waterfall. Aling Aling is considered a holy waterfall by Balinese Hindus and for that reason you cannot go waterfall swimming here. This is one of the sacred places in Bali, so keep that in mind and act accordingly to show your respect. Aling Aling is considered one of the must see waterfalls in Bali because it’s actually two giant waterfalls flowing right beside each other. We highly recommend seeing it!
After admiring Aling Aling, we went to go start the action packed part of our day! The next stop in this series of 4 waterfalls was the only natural waterfall slide Bali has to offer. You had to wear a life jacket, but we were allowed to completely slide down this waterfall into the bottom pool. It was a crazy, exhilarating experience.
Next up, the crazy cliff jumping at Aling Aling. There are 3 waterfalls you can jump off of at Aling Aling. The first one is at the bali waterfall slide, and the second two are much taller. Ryan and Nate went cliff jumping off waterfalls that were almost 40 feet tall! If you are an adventure seeker, we think you will consider these Bali waterfalls to be some of the best things to do in Bali.
The experience of looking for the best Bali waterfalls was made easy by our new friend Nate. So please go check out his video of our waterfall experience: youtube.com/watch?v=LO3S2egal8g&t=97s
We hope you guys enjoyed this Indonesia vlog filled with waterfall swimming and cliff jumping. If you have any questions on how to travel bali, where the best places in Bali are, or want to learn more about Bali waterfalls please leave a comment down below! If you haven’t watched our other Bali vlog series, head over to our channel and see the Bali playlist. We hope to see you in the next video. Sea!

See the full Bali Golden Tour / Lovina Dolphin Watching Itinerary here: http://bit.ly/2ShKMqv
Our Bali Tour: http://bit.ly/2AriTWg
The day started early at 6am on Lovina Beach where we set sail into the North Bali Sea. Dolphins in Bali are common in Lovina but it is still relatively low key due to how far away North Bali is from the main tourist hubs. We were so amazed to see wild dolphins jumping out of the water and swimming so close to our boat. This was easily one of our favorite Bali adventures so far. You can see many dolphins in Indonesia, but if you’re on vacation in Bali then we highly recommend Lovina dolphin watching.
We left Lovina Beach around 10:30am to explore more of the North of Bali. After the dolphin watching, we set off to visit a natural, holy hot spring. The Bali hot spring was nice, however we didn’t spend too much time there. There was so much more to do in this Bali day trip!
Next stop was easily the best Bali temple we have ever seen. It’s the Brahma Vihara Buddhist Monastery accompanied by an extremely beautiful set of grounds. Because this Bali temple isn’t very well known, it was really quiet and at times, we were the only ones there. This temple in Bali is a must visit during your North Bali adventure. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed!
Next up we explored another area in the North of Bali. Some locals and expats will say this is one of the best places in Bali that isn’t popular amongst tourists yet. It’s called Bali Twin Lake. We stopped off at the viewpoint here to admire the incredible North Bali scenery and were happy to feel the fresh mountain air. You can eat lunch at the Twin Lake viewpoint, however Bali Golden Tours arranged for us to have lunch at our next stop: Ulun Danu Temple.
The Ulun Danu Temple is like nothing we’ve ever seen. It reminded us of a mixture of a temple and an amusement park. There were multiple restaurants, a huge flower garden, a Bali Temple that sits over water (Ulun Danu Temple) and even playgrounds and speedboat rides available. Visiting the Ulun Danu Temple should definitely make your list of what to do in Bali if you have a family or small children. It’s an easy Bali day trip from anywhere on the island and there are activities for all ages.
As you may know, we received our 2 day tour tour free of charge. We had many tour companies to choose from who wanted us to film their tour, but we chose Bali Golden Tour because of their prompt customer service, thorough itinerary, and wonderful hospitality. After spending two days with them and their tour guides, we can genuinely recommend Bali Golden Tour to anyone looking to experience the best places in Bali. Two thumbs up!
We hope you enjoyed our North Bali tour and Lovina dolphin watching video. If you are planning a trip to Bali, consider Bali Golden Tour if you’re interested in experiencing the best tour in Bali Indonesia. Let us know if you have any questions about Day 2 in the comments and we will respond as soon as possible!

Our Tour: http://www.baligoldentour.com/bali-overnights-tour.php
We started day 1 of the best tour in Bali in Ubud where we got to see a traditional Balinese dance performance called the Barong and Kris dance. If you guys remember, Stacia spent her whole life dancing so this was especially fun for her to see! This performance is only scheduled 1 time per day from 9-10am and this Balinese dance was strictly used only for ceremonies until they decided to share it with the public starting in 1990.
Next on our journey through Ubud Bali was to see the local artisans, Silver Making, Painting, and Wood Carving. We were not able to fit this into our video, but know if you take this tour with Bali Golden Tour you will visit these local artisans and their sales rooms. We then travelled a quick 10 minutes away to see Batuan Temple. This is the oldest Hindu Temple in Bali that is open to the public. Batuan Temple dates back to 1020 AD and is a large tourist destination in Ubud Bali Indonesia.
No guide to Ubud would be complete without visiting the Tegallalang Rice Terraces. We were hesitant to visit Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud because we heard how touristy it would be, but the place was absolutely gorgeous! Although there were many tourists at the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, the space was so big that you had plenty of room to explore in peace. We highly recommend going as one of the best places in Ubud. We also visited an Ubud alternative called Sidemen about an hour northeast and saw gorgeous rice terraces there as well. Make sure you check out that video and tell us which one you would rather visit!
Last on the tour we had lunch at one of the best places in Bali, Mount Batur. The restaurant we ate at had an unobstructed view of the Bali Volcano and we were in awe of the beauty! Lunch was very good, there was a mixture of Indonesian food, Indian food, and Western food. After lunch, we took a 2 hour drive north through the center of Bali Indonesia to Lovina Beach in North Bali. We spent the night in a fantastic hotel right Lovina Beach and had an excellent dinner that was also kindly included in the tour.
Tune in next video to see what Day 2 of the best tour in Bali is like! We can tell you right now, it’s even better than Day 1. If you’re interested in just taking a bali day trip like the one you saw today, Bali Golden Tour also offers Day 1 separately for a bali day trip tour.
To be straight up with you guys, we received our 2 day tour tour free of charge. We had many tour companies to choose from who wanted us to film their tour, but we chose Bali Golden Tour because of their prompt customer service, thorough itinerary, and wonderful hospitality. After spending two days with them and their tour guides, we can genuinely recommend Bali Golden Tour to anyone looking to experience the best of Bali. Two thumbs up!
We hope you enjoyed our Bali travel advice and consider one of these bali customized tours from Bali Golden Tour if you’re interested in seeing the best things in Bali. Let us know if you have any questions about Day 1 in the comments and we will respond as soon as possible!

First up was trying traditional Bali coffee and a popular health tonic at a local warung in Sanur. Bali coffee is unlike anything I’ve ever had before as they make the coffee with the grounds still in the mug! I liked how strong and flavorful the “kopi tubruk” was and also really enjoyed “Kunyit Asam” which is a turmeric and lime drink that is lightly sweetened.
Next we get into the good stuff. If you ask anyone what the best food in Bali is they will likely say Babi Guling. Babi Guling is a whole roast suckling pig similar to the filipino dish Lechon. We visited one of the best warungs in Bali called Warung Babi Guling Sanur to try the infamous dish. The plate filled with pork, rice, sambal matah, crispy skin, sate and peanuts was amazing and so spicy! I would highly recommend anyone try Babi Guling if you are coming to Bali, especially because pork is not widely eaten anywhere else in the Indonesian food scene because it is a predominately muslim country.
I tried a fish head soup at another one of the best warungs in Bali and it is also one of the oldest still in operation. Warung Mak Beng in Sanur Bali is a popular soup spot right near Sanur Beach serving up fish head soup, rice, and fried mackerel all for only $45K Indonesian Rupiah.
As the sun started to set, we headed to the Bali night market in Sanur to try two final dishes: Jaje Bali and Nasi Campur. Nasi Campur is one of the most famous items in the Balinese street food world and regarded by most as the best Indonesian food. It consists of mixed rice with protein and vegetables which was excellent and easily ranked in my Top 5 food in Indonesia list. Jaje Bali was an unexpected sweet surprise and should definitely make your Bali food guide list. It’s a lesser known Bali dessert that consists of different starches rolled in coconut and drizzled with honey. The dessert isn’t too sweet and had just the right amount of flavor! It was great.
If you’re looking for the best Indonesian food and Warungs in Sanur Bali then this should be a great starting list for you. The food in Indonesia is quite spicy so make sure you ask for “little spicy” if you are sensitive to spice and avoid getting what they call Bali Belly. The food in Bali is diverse, delicious, and affordable if you eat at local restaurants and warungs. We hope you liked this taste of Indonesia street food and classic Bali food dishes. Let us know which one of these is your favorite and make sure you check out our food vlog playlist to see more mouth watering classics in different countries!

We were on the hunt for a Bali rice terrace that wasn’t crowded with tourists. We wanted to explore an undiscovered Bali that nobody has covered on Youtube yet. We found that in Sidemen Village. First we’ll share with you the best hotel in Bali that we’ve stayed in called Abian Ayu Villa. Overlooking Mount Agung, our Bali rice field villa had the most incredible views. After the room tour, it’s time to explore.
If you’re looking for an Ubud alternative, we highly suggest Sidemen as part of Bali not many have discovered yet. Without maps or pinned locations, we were able to find a local Bali village’s water system that irrigates the entire towns rice fields. We took a small hike to find a river running deep in the middle of the North Bali forest just waiting to be discovered.
Next up, what you’ve been waiting for: The best of Bali. One of the most hidden spots in Bali, the unnamed rice terraces we found in Sidemen Village were some of the most incredible sights we’ve seen so far on our travels throughout South East Asia. If this isn’t Bali’s most beautiful place, we don’t know what is. Similar to the hotel, the rice terraces overlook Mount Agung and you are set in a rural Balinese village with the only inhabitants being local workers and the occasional chicken. We thought this was so much more special than trying to travel Bali based off popular blog posts and tourist locations. There is something really amazing about discovering a place that is off the beaten place. The real Bali.
Although Sidemen Village is still a part of undiscovered Bali, we’re confident that it won’t be hidden for long. You can still travel to Sidemen Bali and see the local life, experience incredible scenery, and have the place practically all to yourself. We think that Sidemen village should be on your list of top places in Bali if you’re an adventure seeker and enjoy spots that are off the beaten path. Don’t worry, Sidemen still has wifi and a few infinity pools because, hey, you’re still on vacation right? ;)
Let us know if this hidden rice field in Bali would make your Bali most beautiful places list! We can recommend both the area and the hotel to you guys 100%. Make sure to check out Sidemen Bali, as we don’t think it will be a part of Bali secret places for long. Make sure to subscribe for more videos in Bali Indonesia and we would love to hear your plans to travel Bali down below in the comments.

So, what happened to us in Nusa Lembongan Bali? We set sail on a Scoot speed boat to the Nusa Islands. If you’re wondering how to get to Nusa Lembongan, we can highly recommend Scoot or a fast boat of your choice. The local boats take far too long for just a day trip to the islands near Bali. Anyways, we arrived to the island and immediately departed by motorbike to Devils Tear Nusa Lembongan. It was a remarkable place where gatorade blue water came crashing into the bay to spray up above the rocks. It’s truly a natural wonder and one of the best things to do in Nusa Lembongan.
Well, as Ryan was flying the drone off to the side in a very dry area, a massive wave came crashing in and dumped on Ryan and ALL of our camera gear. This was easily our worst day in Indonesia so far… but we’re lucky that we were safe from harm. Our gear on the other hand, not so much.
We rushed to get the equipment dry, but unfortunately our brand new Sony A7iii started showing a persistent error message that wouldn’t go away. Now we are left with a broken camera and are $2000 USD poorer :( So we thought…
We tried to continue the day and the first time in Indonesia vlog for you guys after this travel disaster but then we got a flat tire on our motorbike. It just wasn’t our day! So, the rest of this video will be a story time vlog about exploring nusa lembongan and what happened to our camera. Is the camera still broken? Watch until the end of the video to find out!
This Nusa Lembongan Vlog is our first video out of our entire travel to Indonesia series. Please leave a comment below of what your favorite spots in Bali Indonesia are. We hope to be back to explore these islands near Bali again soon so we can share a proper Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Cenigan, and Nusa Penida vlog with you guys. Until then we are still very much enjoying Indonesia for the first time and are looking forward to exploring Bali for the first time as well! Thanks for watching and we will see you guys in the next video. Seeya!

Our trip to the Mekong Delta Vietnam started with a 2 hour luxury van ride to a town called My Tho. Although we don’t normally take public tours, we arranged a small 6 person group tour with Vietnam Adventure Tours. Once we arrived in My Tho, we boarded a private boat to set sail down the Mekong Delta River. The 15 minute boat ride took us across the Mekong river to unicorn island where we explored a tourist area set up to mimic a traditional Vietnam Village. The activities on this island include: Bee Farm and Honey Tasting, Snake Holding, Coconut Candy Production, Chocolate Production, Snake Wine, and a Fruit Farm with traditional Mekong Delta music.
Next we got back on the Vietnam boat tour down the Mekong Delta to visit the area of Ben Tre. This is where we got to see a side of a more authentic Vietnam by boating down the river in a small sampan boat. This is one of the best things to do in Vietnam because you get to experience a world away from all development. We wish this part of the Mekong river tour was longer, as the small sampan boat ride was only 15 minutes long.
Next up on the Mekong Delta Tour was lunch which was included in our tour and very delicious. We were served a variety of Vietnamese food including fish, spring rolls, soup, rice, morning glory and prawns. The Vietnamese lunch was absolutely delicious!
When visiting Saigon Vietnam, we highly recommend you put a Mekong Delta Tour on your list of must do activities. Out of all the things to do in Saigon, this was one of our favorites! A quick 2 hour Saigon day trip away seems like a completely separate world apart from the hustle of Ho Chi Minh City.
If you’re interested in booking one of the best tours in Saigon, contact Vietnam Adventure Tours and request Van as your tour guide! The tour you see is the VIP Mekong Delta Tour with a luxury 7 person limo. Most Mekong tours start from $15 USD and go up to $80 USD for a public tour, and private tours are $80 USD per person and up. We hope you enjoyed our trip down the Vietnam Mekong Delta and if you have any questions please leave us a comment! We’d love to hear about your Vietnam travel or plans to visit the area.

Nha Trang Vietnam is a 7km beach that is a huge tourist destination with both Vietnamese and Russian tourists. As one of the best beaches in Vietnam, Nha Trang is a highly developed beach town filled with bars, restaurants, nightlife, and white sand beaches. Surprisingly, for as busy as Nha Trang is, it’s beaches water is crystal clear and very clean. We were impressed!
Our first stop on Nha Trang beach was the Louisiane Brewhouse, a microbrewery in Vietnam. We rented 2 beachside lounge chairs for $3 total for the entire day! As far as Vietnam beaches go, Nha Trang has the appeal of a European beach destination with all of the amenities you could ever ask for. A lot of locals also take their vacation in Vietnam to Nha Trang beach as it’s only an hour flight away from Saigon. This makes Nha Trang one of the beaches near Saigon that is easiest to access.
We stopped back to our hotel only two blocks away from the Nha Trang Vietnam beach to take a quick dip in our infinity pool. The hotel we stayed at was called the Nagar Hotel and our room was $50 usd per night including a balcony and free breakfast each morning. We loved it!
Next stop was to walk the streets and explore the Nha Trang walking street. Basically, the entire three blocks in along the beach makes up all of the Nha Trang nightlife, restaurants, and bars in the area. As Nha Trang is the biggest beach in Vietnam, there is plenty to do once the sun sets. The area is quite the party town, popular among the Nha Trang Saigon tourist and Russian tourists alike.
If you have any Vietnam travel plans, make sure to add Nha Trang to your list if you are interested in experiencing a classic beach holiday. There are large resorts across the bay like the Vinpearl Nha Trang resort that are more suited for a quiet relaxing vacation than a beach party. We hope you liked this travel vlog in Nha Trang and make sure to tune into our Vietnam vlog series, as we have many other videos! Thanks for watching and we hope you liked watching our vacation in Vietnam. Seeya!

First we rented a motorbike and left our hotel in Nha Trang beach. Getting outside of the main tourist district in Nha Trang was important to us, so we decided to drive up the coast and see what local life is like here in Vietnam. We stumbled upon a small fishing village about 20 minutes north of Nha Trang Vietnam where we could observe local fisherman and life in the town. Our favorite thing to do is witness local life while traveling, but it’s not always possible.
In Nha Trang travel by motorbike is the best way to get around. Traffic isn’t as bad as Saigon or Hanoi, but it’s definitely enough to slow you down. We suggest doing what we did, rent a motorbike and get out of town if you’re looking for different things to do in Nha Trang besides parties and beach life.
After a long day on the bike, we were so excited to try a Vietnam spa experience so we went to the Nha Trang mud bath! We chose the original mud bath spa in Nha Trang called Thap Ba Spa. It was both of our first time in a mud bath, so we didn’t quite know what to expect. We’ll take you through the entire Vietnam bikini mud bath experience and tell you how much everything is in the video. This was easily our best day in Nha Trang!
If you’re looking for the best places in Vietnam, I would put Nha Trang on your list for a beach holiday. It’s a great place to relax, as Nha Trang has one of the best beaches in Vietnam. We genuinely thought the Thap Ba Spa should be on the Nha Trang best attractions list and can recommend it as an affordable, fun time off the beach. If you’re looking for different things to do in Vietnam, a mud bath is a great experience that we suggest highly. We hope you liked this Nha Trang travel vlog. We have more Vietnam videos on the way so make sure you subscribe!

To fuel up, we got an Egg Coffee or Cà Phê Trứng. During the milk shortage, Vietnamese adapted to whip an entire egg yolk into their coffee for dairy and texture. Vietnamese egg coffee is served with sweetened condensed milk and nutmeg. It reminded me of an egg nog latte. Needless to say, it was incredible.
Our first food stop on the Vietnam food tour was to find the best banh mi in Saigon. We went to a Mark Wiens recommended spot and were NOT impressed, so we headed down the street to the famous Banh Mi Huynh Hoa. Of course, being one of Saigon’s famous food items we had to stand in a line to get our Banh Mi. Thank goodness we waited because this was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my entire life! No joke. If you are looking for the best food in Saigon, this should be your absolute first stop.
Next up I wanted to try Banh Xeo. What better place to try it than the one made famous by Anthony Bourdain in Vietnam: Banh Xeo 46A. This place was located in district 3 Ho Chi Minh city and although it’s quite the tourist destination now, it was only half full mixed with both locals and tourists. If you’re wondering what to eat in Ho Chi Minh city, Banh Xeo will be on every local foodies list for you to try. It’s a thin rice flour pancake or crepe stuffed with prawns, bean sprouts and garlic. It was absolutely delicious!
At this point of our food tour Saigon I’m starting to get pretty full… but everyone says the best Vietnamese food in Saigon is, you guessed it, Pho. We headed to the famous Vietnamese food Pho institution called Pho Hoa Pasteur for a bowl of raw beef pho noodles. This wasn’t the Pho place I had in mind, but it was right around the corner in District 3 so I thought we’d give it a try. I was not overly impressed with the soup and I needed to put a lot of condiments in the bowl to make it flavorful. Pho is typically a street food in Vietnam and I felt that the steeper price of 70K dong for a bowl reflected the fact that we were in a restaurant vs. a street food stall. Pho Hoa Pasteur also has chain establishments in the US, however this is the only location in Ho Chi Minh city.
Last but not least for the best Vietnamese food in Saigon was an exotic choice: Snails! I tried eating snails in Vietnam for the first time because I couldn’t find live coconut worms. I wanted to eat live coconut worms and be a little more adventurous for you guys but the government is cracking down on the distribution of coconut worms, making it illegal. So, I settled for snails. First were sea snails fried in chili and salt which was a little overcooked but still great in flavor. Second was a Mekong Delta river sucking snail which was horrifying! The snail itself was green and honestly tasted like you were eating a a dirty piece of swamp water. You guys know that I love eating exotic foods but this sucking snail was just gross!
I know we missed A LOT of the best food in Ho Chi Minh city but hey, my stomach can only fit so much. We will be eating many more Vietnamese foods and trying street food in Vietnam throughout our other Vietnam travel vlog episodes, so leave your suggestions below! If you need to know in Vietnam where to eat then I can highly suggest Banh Mi Huynh Hoa and Banh Xeo 46A. The others were just okay. That’s it for our Saigon famous food tour… we hope you enjoyed!
