People here are nice, the scenery is beautiful and the food there is just wonderful.But I just realised that there is a group of special people live around me, and I just never tried to know more about the culture there. A shame it is. And I’m not the only one.Li people are so special. I wondered why they have tattoos on only women’s body, why the house they live have the particular shape, how they sew to make so beautiful cloth with the simple wood machine. They have they have their own arts which are wonderful but dying. I had a trip to their living place for a day. Young Li people told me that they can hardly inherit these culture because it’s difficult and not everyone now can understand the language of the old people.I weep for the excellent dying art and curious about the stories of the old Li people, Their stories must be as astonishing as films.

At the start, I hated this country. People were so cold even though they were using the languages I could understand. I never felt so lonely when people talk to me in Chinese. My mother tongue should have made me feel warm, but it didn’t. It has made it even worse. But, what if I see it like a challenge? If I see it as a lesson, maybe I can feel better and learn from it at the same time. I started to love this country this year. When I went back to China for vacation, I couldn’t believe that I missed this country. I’m really in love with this city, I think maybe it’s because Singapore really has made me grow.

My future self-biography alexandra cheng 2019-03-31 | When people think of their future, they always think of how better they will be, but seldomly think of what truly it will be. And about what life truly will be is lonely. Life is a journey with only ourselves, no one can accompany us for the whole trip. We face problems with ourselves and less and less people will help us. As I can see that in kindergarten, the whole class would come to me if I fall over. In primary, friends around me even the teacher would come to me if I fall over, in middle school, if I fall over, my best friend would ask me “how are you!”, in high school, I had to pretend that it wasn’t hurt as no one actually care, and now, if I fall over , even it was really hurt and it bleeds, friends would even laugh at me and blame me from wasting their time in the middle of the way to dinner. The world is colder and colder as time goes. The only thing that I can do is to face it and depend on ourselves. The more we depend on others, the weaker we will become, and the more disappointed we will feel. So, I believe my future is a trip with only myself, and I hope I can live with it.
