1950 Chevy 6400 - Shifting 5+4 Twin Stick - 5.9 Cummins Twin Stick Films 2021-08-08 | This is a 1950 Chevy 6400 with a 12 Valve Cummins from an 89-93 Dodge pickup with the VE Pump that's been tweaked some except for governor spring; there's no point going with the 3K springs for what it's doing. This is the non intercooled model so you really need eyeball the pyrometer; EGT's will sneak up on you real quick. Before the 12 Valve Cummins swap this had a 292 Inline Six which was also swapped in here as well at one point if i'm not mistaken. Total gross scale weight was around 36,000 lbs. hauling grass seed. It sounds pretty good when you put it to work a little bit. To answer everyone's question, yes it still has no mufflers. "Why does it sound quieter than it used to in your older videos?" My camera back in the day had horrible sound and a lot of the audio was distorted, which made it sound louder than it actually was. My new camera has much clearer and accurate audio. I left the shifter in 2nd just so you can really hear it snap crackle pop, it's obnoxious. I can't believe people straight pipe these things with no turbo.
