DPW DesignVideo manual for the Mög WF-1 Wavefolder and E-1 Expander.
Used in the demo is a Doepfer A-110-4 for the sine wave in to the WF-1 and a A-110-1 for audio rate modulation. Input and output waves showv on a Mordax DATA.
The LFO used is a XAOC Batumi, one of my favourite modules.
The WF-1 Wavefolder can also be used for control signals. Everything including the distortions are DC coupled.
If used as a control module the outputs from FoP and FoN could be used as gate or trigger signals for other modules.

I am showing it together with the Likaon Instruments Mandala MK2 that I just got. All sounds except my voice goes through my M2 Mix module with the limiter switched on to get a bit of compression and to get a consistent level out no matter what I do with the sources going into it. As an out module from the modular I am using my P3 Pedal I/O to get the right levels into my Atem Mini video switcher. Very simple setup.
Please tell me if you want me to do a video on how to convert a toy like this for synth use.Clock dividers for making clean chords with Zero2DPW Design2024-05-10 | Fixing audio rate clock division with DPW Design Zero2 module. Cleaning up audio by removing jitter.
Discovered after doing the video that the VCO I am using is has a little bit of jitter. When I am using that signal to sync everything else I am actually copying that jitter to every other signal I sync to it. This is why the end result has a bit of noise to it, but still is way better than the signal direct from the clock divider.DPW Design P1, Pedal I/O overviewDPW Design2024-05-07 | Video manual for the DPW Design P1, Pedal I/O eurorack module.

So I decided to give it a go.
Forgot to describe some of the parts of the patch for the main sound. A clarification: I make a square wave with lots of jitter by running one VCO into the D input of the Zero 2 and an other VCO into the A input. The square wave with a lot of jitter is triggering a very fast AD envelope. This envelope is fed to a resonant LP filter that I use as an LPG (low pass gate). So this VCF is used instead of a VCA. On the audio into this LPG I am feeding tuned down digital noise. After the LPG there is a non resonate BP filter.
This whole chain described above is then mixed with the filtered wavetable noise from the Waldorf nw1.Switched LFOsDPW Design2022-05-07 | Zero difference switching of LFOs. Both free running and tempo synced. Did the patch just to show some ideas.
For the tempo sync of the faster LFO the clocking in to the Batumi is uneven. Just to give you some ideas. There is just folding and manipulating the envelope here,. The triangle wave from the Instrou Tona VCO just passes through a Doepfer VCA that my manipulated envelope is affecting. Ok, at the end of the video there is also a XAOC Belgrad VCF being switched in after the VCA. But apart from that the aoudio chain is just VCO to VCA and out.
At 7.20: Adding audio rate modulation to transients. At 9.50: Adding something like vinyl crackle in the quiet in between notes. At 13.50: Folding down the envelope with an audio rate controlled by an LFO, clock divider or an other envelope. At 14.50: Distortion on the envelope. Showing audio rate there but can be controlled by a gate signal. It amplifies a bit and adds AM like modulation. With a gate from my clock divider it gives a volume accent. At 16.30: Showing how to trigger events based on the level of the envelope. Two completely different events can be triggered. Not showed in the video, but both events can be CV controllable.Wavefolder demo 180203DPW Design2018-02-03 | Demo of the DPW Design Wavefolder WF-1. The Dominion 1 is for sequencer only, no sound. It is controlling a Doepfer A-110-4 sine VCO.
The VCO is connected to the DPW Design WF-1 Wavefolder. The WF-1 is modulated by two sine waves from an XOAC Batumi LFO.
You can see the main output of the WF-1 on the oscilloscope. The two square wave outputs from the WF-1 are routed out in stereo for a bigger sound.
The remaining two outputs from the Batumi LFO are producing a slow pattern via a DPW Design AV-1 attenuverter/mixer/comparator that is triggering the ping sounds from the Mutable Instruments Rings and the A-118 Noise.
The A-118 is routed through a Koma SVF-201 filter.
The hole mix is finally fed trough an Audio Damage EOS reverb.
Modulation of the Rings, SVF-201 and the EOS is controlled via the AV-1.
