Bam Margera “I Used To Skate” | THPS STORIED 2025-07-12 | In “Bam Margera I Used To Skate | THPS” we met up with #thps superstar Bam Margera to roam around Hollywood, California in search of people who either skate or used to skate. How do they prove it? By answering trivia questions surrounding the release of the new #tonyhawkproskater3+4 video game, out now. What started as rather slim pickings on Sunset Boulevard was quickly turned around when we traveled to nearby Fairfax Avenue to the Complex release party for Activision's THPS 3+4 - we were BOMBARDED with skaters and used to skaters. In a rather quick and high paced episode, we managed to meet a ton of people and Jackass star Bam Margera gave away our “I Used to Skate” products. Pro BMX Rider Rick Thorne even made a surprise guest appearance! Steve Caballero & Jeremy Wray I Used To Skate STORIED 2025-06-28 | Items featured in this episode are 50% at storiedskateboarding .com!In “Steve Caballero & Jeremy Wray I Used To Skate” the two professional skateboarding legends roam around the beautiful beach city of Carlsbad, California looking for “used to skaters” to celebrate our annual “I Used To Skate Day on June 22, 2025. We are all familiar with that moment when you’re getting kicked out of a skate spot by security, only to be told, “it’s cool guys I get it, I used to skate.” Or when the random Dad on the street goes out of his way to tell you how he “used to skate back in the Tony Hawk days”. So in this series, we put these claims to the test. So what is a “used to skater”? Anyone who can prove that that in one point in time, they did in fact skate. This can be achieved by actually skating or simply answering a trivia question. Being a used to skater isn’t a bad thing - and many used to skater still skate - just not as great as they maybe once did. IUTS simply shines light on our glory years. Carlsbad definitely delivered! We could hardly move past the Main Street corner without being bombarded with skaters trying to prove themselves. We got a plentiful of flip-flop kickflips, a Mom who “walked the dog”, a steel toe boot switch kickflip, some sort of board-throw-down-flip maneuver and even a couple indoors skate shop clips. We even visited Pipeline skate shop where rumor has it, Tony Hawk got his start. To say the least, Jeremy Wray’s return to Carlsbad was once again a huge success. What Is The Most Famous Boardslide Ever Done?! STORIED 2025-06-14 | Signed Steve Caballero Boards at storied skateboarding .com !!! The top graphic designed by Steve Caballero himself!In “What Is The Most Famous Boardslide Ever Done?!” we asked a group of notable and respectable professional skateboarders who they thought that had the most famous boardslide in skateboarding history. Not the biggest boardslide, not the longest boardslide, nor the fastest, slowest, highest or lowest, the “most famous”. This question is always a strange one in skateboarding, a sport that is so rooted in the underground - the “anti-fame” if you will. So, it’s hard for some to wrap their head around. There were A LOT of Mark Gonzalez call outs from his Blind “Video Days” part but in the end, we narrowed it down to two legends; Powell Peralta’s Frankie Hill and THPS, Vans Shoes & Bones Brigade’s Steve Caballero (Street Cab Era). We sat down in San Diego, CA with the two icons to talk board slides! The two were quick to acknowledge Natas Kaupus as the original Most Famous Boardslide because it paved the way for the first ever handrail skating. For both skaters, it really didn’t even come down to one specific boardslide but a body of work. Frankie had several iconic boardslides from Powell’s “Ban This” and Propaganda”. Shockingly enough, many of these were shot in one day and even on the same day! Not only was Frankie doing some of the most memorable skateboarding tricks to date, he was doing it all in one day. Frankie is regarded as one of skateboarding’s true pioneers. Steve Cab’s career began in vert & bowl skating but during his “Street Cab Era” he did some serious boardslides. This video piece highlights his long 22 stair boardslide from THPS 2, the quadruple kink rail from his 411 vm opener and arguably one of the most famous skateboarding fails; the Tilt Mode slam where Cab goes up a jump ramp, down 8 stairs, across a long flat and down 13 stairs before he gets pitched to the ground. Cab compares this moment to Evil Knievel’s infamous Caeser’s Palace fail in that because it was so insane, it put him on the map perhaps more so than if he would have actually landed it. People have a lot of respect for those willing to push the boundaries into the unknown. Once again on this channel, we find ourselves telling a story surrounding a “most famous trick” that wasn’t even landed - it’s very interesting how often this is the case! Not only do Frankie & Caballero take a look back on legendary boardslides but they also acknowledge how their groundwork pushed modern day skating and future tricks to come. They opened the doors.
