The Original HamsterDance... Sort Of... SataiDelenn 2007-11-27 | *Disclaimer* I do not own the pictures or the "song" for this video. I make no money from this creation. This is simply for fun. Out of sheer desperation for something simple, I decided to create a little tribute for one of my favorite websites of all time. It was created around 1997, and quickly became a hit, around the world. It was even featured on one of my area's local news stations one morning. Eventually it migrated to www.hamsterdance.com, but became rather Disneyesque (is that a word? Well, it is now), and very disappointing, as it stopped resembling anything even close to the lovely simplicity of the original website. Then, one day, oh joy! I found that someone had pulled the original from an archived site, and I was once again able to view the webpage. Now, I warn you, the original website is not only simple, but insipid as well. Either you will love it, or you will hate it, like nails across a chalk board. *insert evil laugh here* I was able to download the original .gifs to my computer, as well as the original snippet of song, and well, here's my dismal attempt at a tribute to the Original HamsterDance. I apologize for the bad quality of the graphics, but I am technologically challenged sometimes, and do not know how to adjust pictures or .gifs to make them look better on WMM, so, this is the best you'll get, unless you take a moment to visit the archived page. Lol. You'd think I would be upset with someone giving this video a rating of one star, but, lol, I'm actually amused it even got that high of a rating, lol.

Closet Sunday SataiDelenn 2006-08-26 | This is a very dark, and hopefully powerful video. It takes clips from the movie Closet Land and is set to the music "The Song Of The Gloomy Sunday" and this version is sung by Ben Becker. If you don't like dark and possibly disturbing/depressing music/videos, then this video is not for you. Be warned; there is nothing fluffy or happy about this video. The lyrics are sung in German. You can find an English translation of the song by Googling "Gloomy Sunday". This song is said to be the cause of many suicides and the original composer, Rezso Seress wrote the song after losing his beloved and he eventually committed suicide. Edit: After comparing the English Lyrics to this version of the song, the third stanza was omitted. Therefore I can only conclude that this version of the song Gloomy Sunday is the closest to the original that can be currently found since the third stanza was added much later in an attmept to make the song sound uplifting (something that this version most definitely does not strive for).

Imaginings SataiDelenn 2006-07-11 | Just a fantasy video of the passage of time using pictures of faeries. Originally set to the song "The Circle Game" by Joni Mitchell, but recently changed to Kyrie by Antaeus, an "approved" song. Thank you so much greedy, money-grubbing WMG who complained about copyright infringement and forced yet another good video off the Youtube channels. God forbid people be allowed to express their creativity. Was it really hurting you for this video to be up with the Joni Mitchell song, "The Circle Game"? Guess so. My deepest apologies to those of you that knew and loved the original video. I only hope that this new song accompanies the video well enough to satisfy. And to those that wish to defend WMG, that's fine, but as you feel the right to defend WMG, I feel the right to express my thoughts and feelings, and discontent, and I "do not go gentle into that good night" if I feel I have been wronged. Never have, never will.
