ECC COATINGS AND FLOORING 2015-09-09 | Ethical Coatings brings you this video on an unusual kitchen floor repair project . Why was it unusual ? The owner of the kitchen needed as little down time as possible as the kitchen was producing up to 1400 meals per day and ran from 6.30 am to 11pm each day . There was another problem . The kitchen was on the 2nd floor and becasue the tiles had cracked over time (chef's dropping heavy pots on tiles will do that ) , the floor was leaking water and gunk onto the ceiling below . The owner had tried numerous tile repairs but all failed so to get this problem fixed and fast ,he approached Ethcial Coatings. We considered epoxy , polyurethanes, methyl methacrylate , urethane , but the one solution we felt would suit the conditions was hot spray polyurea . It was a tough promise to keep to empty a kitchen full of equipment and hand back the repaired floor in 12 hours , but thats exacty what we did and the owner couldnt be happier .
