ChatGPT a universal answering engine? Futurist Gerd Leonhard comments (using RunwayML video effects) Gerd Leonhard 2023-03-24 | LLMs (large language models) aren't "answering engines" - simply because... there is no such thing. Personally, I use ChatGPT Pro like I use Google Maps - it can be amazingly correct, and very helpful, but also totally wrong i.e. useless and misleading - and we don't know when well get what:). Logic alone is not enough. Real world scenarios aren't binary. Futurist Gerd Gerd Leonhard 2023-03-07 | I am a geek at heart but here are some real concerns in regards to #openai #chatgpt and #generativeai : Now that APIs are becoming widely available... if we can use ChatGPT and Dali2 and Stable Diffusion and everything else to quickly generate reasonably good-sounding/looking (at least on first sight) new content much much much faster, will this lead to a) even more superficial, mind/meaningless, regurgitated, cookie-cutter, click-baiting, context-devoid, reductionist and random content being shuffled onto the web, vastly amplifying the problems that social media platforms such as #twitter #facebook and #tiktok already have? Will this lead to an explosion of #syntheticmedia ...towards simulated-everything? b) Dramatically increased laziness by over-worked editors, writers and other content creators that may be tempted to just 'let the AI do it' and no longer put in the effort it takes to create really amazing work... Or will ChatGPT +++ just remain a great tool that allows creators to do even greater things?
