CFY 98I'm hoping to make 200 subs before the end of the year. Successful or not, it should be very close together. I hope that this video can earn me a few or subscribers so that we can stay on track. I wasn't exactly going for the Sonic Generations Act 2 vibe, but I think I still get some of that from the faster tempo. I imagine the sound effects from the game over this and I feel like it would work out. I really wanted to retry Star Light Zone in particular because I got some comments last time that basically said that I needed to make something more new instead of sounding so much like the original, so I hope I did well in that regard. Here's the old one: youtu.be/ui9TEW0R9Zc

Uploading daily consumes a lot of time, even if genesis music takes a short time to complete. Hoping this little experiment with the research tab goes well. Carnival Night seems to be getting a lot of views at the moment. Here's hoping that this and Ice Cap can reach more people as well.

Not sure if I got a spike of views that lasted a decent time, or my channel is dying, so I want to release a bunch of stuff to help mitigate the smaller numbers. I know these aren't too remix-y. I'm just aiming for a sort-of alternate, stronger version of the original, with any additions being not too big. If I try to do it 1-1, it will sound empty
I got a lot of comments and views last video, so thank you all for that!

I'm trying something out with the research tab. I believe I saw a content gap from my viewers involving carnival night zone, so I thought I might quickly throw this one together and see if anyone picks up on it.
The unused prototype/origins versions of the soundtrack are quite nice. I think it's very fitting and blends in well with the rest of the soundtrack.
I do not own Sonic Origins, so I had to play the original version of the game. Won't be a big deal.

This is built off of the same project file, and I did not change the tempo for some reason, but that's okay. I wound up playing the rhythm guitar again just for fun, rather than reusing the other samples.
If you've any suggestion you'd like to make, then feel free to do so with a comment.

This time I've put together the Snowy Peak version of White Acropolis with Ice Cap's Be Cool Be Wild, and Be Groovy. I played a little sample of the riffs and cut them up, which was intended to be temporary, but I ended up really liking it.
This is just one direction that you could take a combination of this two. I've never thought of revisiting an idea before. I think this could work the other way around, but I would have to practice guitar a little if I were to do that.

However, those of you who did want some Sonic still, are in for a surprise with this one. This remix comes from an accidental idea. I was trying to think of Beyond the Speed of..., but I'm not familiar with the Sonic Runners OST, so At Dusk, I Will Think of You came to mind. I soon realized how similar the melodies were, and here we are finally. I'd been sitting on this idea for quite some time. Maybe since last year.
My friend who gave me this guitar really loves this game, and so do I, so it makes sense for me to play this. Maybe he'll see it.
This is the first time Kingdom Hearts has been actually represented on the channel. I want to do more! Usually, KH is represented more in spirit, as in inspiration, two other times, something from those games were combined with Pokémon music.
If you clicked on this video and gave it a chance despite maybe not being familiar with the source material, thank you!
I wanted to see what this level's props would look like in 3D. I remade most of the existing ones. No badniks, because that would've taken so much more time and I already feel like I bit off more than I could chew. I lost sight of the speed during the creation, because I would only see it lag until it was fully rendered, so *please* be careful viewing the video if you're prone to dizziness.
I remodeled the room to make things feel a little more approachable. Some people ask me for MIDI files, and that's totally fine. This one might not be very useful to ask for, because a lot of the notes that should be there are a recording. That is unless you feel like putting those through some amp sim.
Been working towards better performances on guitar that don't need to be edited. It took some time, but I managed to get two good takes to play in each ear. I'm not very good at playing melodies, but I'm far more likely to play rhythm guitar parts and get good takes.
There is a VERY small Blaze the Cat in the background (not the figure in the room). Can you find her? She's located somewhere near a set of spikes, a set of rings, and a checkpoint. She's just a couple pixels total. If you see a small spec of pixels stand out, you probably found her.
Hydrocity (no matter how you say it) Zone has some really cool music. I'm always happy to hear it.
Not too long ago, someone had suggested some Kirby music. I think it was a good idea, because I would get to use my kalimba for the first time. I'd like to do more. I'm thinking about doing another one soon, but no promises.
I've actually never played this game before. This track is new to me. Although, I'm not trying to say that I've never heard any music from this game at all. There were some tracks that I recognized (probably from other videos) while sifting through the ost.
I think if I do more Kirby music, I'd like to try out something from Super Star Ultra. I did play through Return to Dream Land so I might try that out. Maybe I could just grab some music from another Kirby game that I've never played before again.
I feel now that these games are underrepresented on my channel. There's a part of me that is inspired by Kirby, and I feel that when I make some of my original music.
Thanks so much everyone for helping me reach this milestone. 300 subscribers was actually my goal for the year. I guess we can try out 350 before January. Should that not work out, oh well, it's kind of random. We'll be all right. Also, I noticed that the day I hit 300 subs a couple of channels much bigger than me were commenting. That's cool! I like to find other active channels around here. I've also been getting strange random spikes in views. Couldn't tell you what that's all about, but I'm not complaining.
A listener asked for some Kirby music earlier, so I think I may give that a shot, but no promises. Another thing I may try out is Sonic Frontiers music. That seems to be earning people views.
Oh boy, did I have fun rendering this eight times to get it right. Resolve was giving me serious trouble. I hope you enjoy this orchestral version of the Shadow/Sonic boss fight theme For True Story.

It gets a bit addicting at times. If you've never heard the version from Shadow the Hedgehog (found in the 2P mode), I seriously recommend that to you. I know they needed a bit of time to introduce Shadow before this stage, but it feels like it could've been the beginning of the Dark story for some reason still.
This one was done a bit quick, since I've been focused on other things. Hope you enjoy!

This year I thought I might try something like that again with another memorable first level.
My goal is to lend the sound of Pleasure Castle (Twinkle Park) from Sonic Adventure to Seaside Hill and that tutorial stage as well.
This project took quite some time to finish, as there was originally on the second half a Remix of Ocean Palace which was mixed with Metal Harbor. I ended up not liking it and it was scrapped. I felt like one minute was too short for Seaside Hill, so the tutorial stage was added during the late stages of this project. I'm very satisfied with it. I hope you enjoy it!

We've finally uncovered the beta version of holoska cool edge day. A very high-quality rip from the disk. Eggman's robots are fueled by propane. Okay, okay. April Fools!
Back in December, I'd began working on ice stage music from Sonic games, notably, Sonic Advance. I'd come up with some kind of Cool Edge and Mr. Unsmiley fusion, and at some point working on it, I thought about how the King of the Hill intro might work out well with my idea. So I paused that and saved it for the First of April.
If you're interested in something more faithful to Cool Edge, I'd love to make a non-April fools version. Although, if you would want that, my instrument cable seems to not be working anymore. I touch one end of it while it is plugged in to my mini amp, and it makes no noise at all. Based on that, I believe I need a new one.

If any viewers would like to make suggestions for music that they like or want, that's more than welcome. (I cannot make promises, though.)
I figured since someone had asked for this, I should tackle this remix with a similar set of ideas. I talking things like, making no change too major, different percussion patterns, etc. My JP Quartz Quadrant video did very well, and I'm grateful for the views and kind comments. It's one of my few videos with multiple thousand views.
This remix is based on the Sonic Boom CD version, where there is more vocals and a synth lead. I was unable to find a version of Quartz Quadrant that played the whole song, that is, until I found the Sonic Boom version. I'm curious if the other tracks are like this and feature new elements that are absent from the game's versions.

Sonic Rush's OST was given a lot of character with those samples. I have much respect for it.
I took from Sonic Heroes to make this remix. The bassline takes after what you'd hear from Grand Metropolis. Then, the rhythm guitar is me playing back what I hear from Power Plant. I'd wanted to incorporate more from Power Plant, but it didn't work out for me, as I wanted to maintain the structure of Bomber Barbara.
It took me like 20 minutes to beat this boss. It has some very cool music to battle to. I didn't quite understand the last phase my first time around, but I did it in the end. You're actually watching me complete it for the first time. I've never actually played Sonic Rush all the way. Only bits and pieces in the past.

The rhythm guitar I used on the 2020 project (Evolution Infinity from Orange Tree Samples) really wasn't cutting it for me in this context. I don't consider this video to be an updated version, though. I think this is different enough to be new.
Radical Train (the chase) has been present on my mind for some time now. I heard a remix from not long ago that gave me the idea to make it fit into here and still keep a lot of things from Hot Crater.
I think this is my current best work. I'm proud of how it came out. That feeling of making something that I could consider my best has been lost on me for years. However, that is not to say that I've been stuck in a rut for a long time. I hope for people to find and enjoy this remix, because I definitely had fun putting forth the effort.

I also believe some of the frets may be causing some buzzing or incorrect notes. I have to work around these things physically or digitally. Playing the same notes somewhere else does create a different sound, so this remix still might not be what it could.
I'm trying out having drums that aren't super quantized. I play EZ Drummer from my midi keyboard, record those inputs, and then tighten them up, but not to perfection.
This remix took a little longer than expected, because I wanted to practice the rhythm guitar parts here and there across a couple of days. I might want to practice some different stuff while working on another project that does not involve the guitar.
I'm just gonna call this one a "guitar" cover because this is pretty much the same, but with a rhythm guitar on it that plays nothing necessarily new. But to remake Crimson Carnival has been on the to-do list for quite some now.
Like the Flying Battery Zone remix I just put out, this features me playing the playing the electric guitar I received from my friend. Don't think of it as a performance, though. Despite it being me playing, I am not that good. Playing all of this is one go would kill my arm!
Download: drive.google.com/file/d/1rsgLBt7e8jAZipLLuzuZjP85QWxGn7jx/view?usp=sharingSonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles - Flying Battery Zone (Remix)CFY 982022-01-27 | I managed to get a new record on Steam and the Epic Games versions of Sonic Mania. The Steam version (First Clip) being my personal best, despite being placed much better on the Epic Games (Second Clip) leaderboard for Flying Battery Act 1.
Courtesy of a good friend of mine, I have a received a sort-of old electric guitar. I'm totally new to the guitar and I haven't practiced too much. But this means that this is the first time a real instrument has been played for the channel. Just don't think of it as so much of a "performance". I broke the music down piece by piece and recorded bits of it at a time. What you hear *is* me playing, but I'm not actually that good.
Going especially for the first half, this is very inspired by Devil May Cry 4's The Time Has Come. I love that song a whole bunch and I really wanted to do something like that for a long time. I snuck in some familiar stuff later into this piece so that doesn't just have a flying battery "vibe" on new music. This goes based on feedback from my Act 2 remix.
This is the last video for the year (Plus I'm gonna go on break). I got this idea after I finished Sonic Adventure 2 again recently. Figured it'd be fitting for the end of the year. The feeling it gives off makes me reflect on things that have happened in the past, good and bad. Since this year was all right in the end, I wanted something that could feel like pulling the curtains closed. I hope your year was good and I wish you luck in the next.
MIDI File: drive.google.com/file/d/1s3XxHfoQfOiwNSTp0R-gUqdhsGAeK12M/view?usp=sharing(SA2 Inspired) Paint Park - OriginalCFY 982021-12-29 | This is a remix of a piece of music I go way back with. I first made it back in 2014 or 2015. It first publicly appeared in a Ludum Dare game titled Canvas and the Mystery Brush. The game was a 2D platformer created after the theme of "Unconventional Weapon". It featured a girl with a big brush that basically was a magic wand which could spawn things like bombs and ice. You would use those abilities to solve puzzles. I call this Paint Park simply because of the setting and what you do in the game. I made this after the Sonic Symphony and wanted to do something that could sound like City Escape in a way.

I think I went far with that here. The second half has a different vibe going for it. If someone wanted me to split my Sonic 1 (or etc.) remixes back into just the first or second part, I don't think I would mind doing that.
A lot of my inspiration for this comes from Sonic CD, Sonic Mania and Altered Beast. I think the second part leans more toward a bad future.

I know it's pretty much a cover aside from it just feeling different due to new instruments, but I still wanted to call this one a remix because of the different bassline. I had begun using jungle drum loops at the time and thought that Street Fighter 3 would be a great way to try some out.
Maybe by this point this is sort of a reminder that I would like to represent a variety of my favorite things rather than only Sonic. So keep in mind that you might not always see that. There's already some different stuff on here, so it shouldn't be surprising. I do hope that this can be given a chance, however.
Stay tuned. I'm not done for the year yet. Hope you enjoyed it!
Back in January of this year, we broke 100 subs. It took a total of 1,613 days (about 4 years and 5 months) to reach that goal. To double that goal, it took about 320 days.
From my first video to December 31st of 2020 I got 17.9K views and 400.2 hours watched. My total number of views in 2021 (to current day) is 21.0K with 450.3 hours watched
From 1/1/21 to present day I got 955 likes and 119 Comments
I also seem to have published a third of my channel this year.
I think we maybe have a bright future ahead of us. Thanks for your views, comments, subscriptions, and all that fun YouTube stuff!
There's still more to come this year, so stay tuned.

I wanted to bring the mood of Final Fortress into the structure of Egg Fleet and then make something new out of them. I definitely feel like this takes more from Final Fortress. I always have fun with the rhythm guitar, and I hope you enjoy this.
Some more cold music. Might end up being the last ice stage piece I make. Just got back from playing this game a little to gather some footage. I feel like it's a pretty solid game. The soundtrack feels nice and groovy. I'd love to do more from the Advance trilogy or Battle even. Especially seeing as Sunset Hill zone Act 2 performed very well on the channel. Speaking of performance, thanks for checking out Cotton Canyon, if you did.

Very inspired by sky rail in particular. Some others from Sonic Adventure helped inspire this as well. Pretty much Jun Senoue's music in general. Seems I've been very fixated on that music all year. Especially after I started using Shreddage 3. This track is actually the first thing I made with it.
Wasn't sure what to name it, so I just made an alliteration using part of my username. I'll probably keep doing that if I don't have any name ideas. The setting I picture for this does not really have anything to do with cotton.
We're gonna start this month off with something a little cold. I've been picking up a few unfinished projects and tweaking them around until I like them again. I hope you like this one

We got Mania, 2, 3, SA1, SA2, and Green Hill Zone. Some are quiet or perhaps less obvious, so I hope you'll get them.
I let YouTube distract me a lot, so I've seen a lot of SRB2 content and mod showcases as of late. I finally gave the game a try earlier this month after many years since the last time I played, which I think may date back to me being in elementary. I vaguely remember hearing about a big update a few years ago, and I wish I played it back then. This game has definitely become one of my favorite games I played this year.

This is why we have it here on the channel today. However, this was made months ago and I just kinda sat on it for a long time and then fixed it up much later. I wanted to try something new with it and I think it may just be, as far as this channel goes, the most unique piece of music on here. I have no idea exactly what genre this would fall into. I think I'm a bit of an outsider to it, whatever it is.

I go back to it every now and again. It reminded me of these Master System and Game Gear games and now years later, I want to give them a try again. This idea has been on my mind for about a month now. From memory, I used The Dreamy Stage ...for Casinopolis to give me some help with what instruments to choose. I'm kinda new to jazzy stuff. I did just create the Yura Yura soundtrack last month, which is like, almost jazz, I guess.

I see a Forces one. I was kind of expecting to record gameplay footage of Generations. There's a lot of mods for that game out there, but I guess I couldn't find one for this. I wanted to put a lot of the energy that modern Green Hill, City Escape, or Sky Sanctuary gives off into Marble Zone. I'd love to tackle more of the Sonic 1 OST. I don't know that I would do all of them in a Modern style, though. If you have any suggestions for what you want to hear, Sonic 1 or otherwise, say so down below!

The literal one. When ever I get to that part of Windy Valley, I always could imagine hearing Palmtree Panic's Bad Future on top of the Tornado's theme. So, I thought it would be nice to finally put that to the test. The tornado is visually chaotic, but Palmtree Panic, in terms of music, could potentially match that chaos. As of late, the music of Sonic Adventure and the JP version of Sonic CD have been very inspiring.
I've been sitting on this idea for some time now, so I hope you enjoy it.

But there are other ideas present in this project that date back to 2017 that I had also moved on from. So, now we have a mixture of things that I had really wanted to do in here. I hope you hear Metallic Madness, Scrap Brain, and Titanic Monarch in this project.
The lead synth was actually used in my Flying Battery Zone Act 2 Remix, because I really thought I might not come back to this. I don't mind some reusing some stuff here and there. This project has suddenly gone through great changes after about two years. I hope you enjoy, and thanks for checking out Yura Yura if you did.

#LudumDare #LDjam49Sonic Forces - Sunset Heights (Remix)CFY 982021-09-27 | Sunset Heights is a mixture of coolness, beauty and a little gloominess all mixed up into one. I really like that about this stage. The visuals and the music are really working together here. I think Sonic Forces is kinda fun, but the stages don't really last all that long. I played this stage three times to get enough footage to cover this video.
Hope you enjoy!

I ended up using footage of Generations instead of Colors due to it having a much larger stage. But I was still used to using to analog stick to quickstep instead of bumpers, so that made things worse.
Anyway, I wanted to take notes from Spark the Electric Jester 3's Alpine Carrera, since I think that sounds really cool. I wanted to see how well some things from it and Act 1 of Planet Wisp would mix together.
Also, I'm a little early, but happy 9/8! Enjoy the music!

Five whole years have gone by and I am grateful for the support from various people online. I've had a tough time with Youtube, trying to get videos to reach more people. Been trying to do more research on that with my analytics, and also have been trying new things to get people to stay with the video for longer. Hopefully people looking for Colors Ultimate will find their way here.
This gameplay footage features me struggling to remember how hard you need to swing the wii remote to activate color powers. I remember I played a lot of Sonic Colors with sideways Wiimote before I got my classic controller. Asteroid Coaster is a neat stage. Everything in SC has a different mood and cool visuals.

Wild Pokémon (Remix)CFY 982021-08-18 | This time around I'm back with the wild battle theme from diamond and pearl. I could never get tired of wild battle music. They're all really catchy! This one is charged with memories. The Pokémon games on the DS are some of my favorite soundfonts. I actually used to use those to make music, but perhaps I used them for too long.
Hopefully some new people pick up on this after the pokemon presents video. Also, I hope you enjoy this and show support!

I have a very simple need to go fast and perform homing attacks. This project has some stuff in it that is new to me, like shreddage 3 and some drum loops. I love to get new stuff every once in a while. Hope you enjoy this.
