Liquid Gallium On A Bluetooth Speaker - Part 2 LETS MELT THIS 2016-10-07 | Melting Gallium to a liquid metal and placing it on a bluetooth speaker produced some awesome video footage! This is part 2 of the "Liquid Gallium On A Speaker" video for those of you who did not enjoy the music or macro video in part 1. It is a full shot of the liquid gallium metal reacting with the Bluetooth speaker in slow motion. We placed 100 grams of Gallium on a Bluetooth speaker and set up our camera with a macro lens to capture the footage. Gallium is an interesting metal that does not occur as a pure element in nature, but can be purchased in pure form to be used for some amazing science experiment demonstrations. The melting point of gallium is 29.76 °C (85.57 °F), so it will readily melt in your hand or in a very warm room. We chose to melt the gallium in a glass container placed in hot water. Once it melted we were able to easily pour the gallium onto the speaker. The vibrations passed through the gallium creating some awesome macro video footage. What Happens If You Pour Sulfuric Acid On A McDonalds Big Mac? LETS MELT THIS 2016-08-23 | Ever wonder what happens if you soak a McDonald's Big Mac in sulfuric acid? Look no further. Today we poured sulfuric acid on the McDonalds Big Mac and the results were surprising. We originally through the big mac would dissolve into a giant pile of mush. Turns out the sulfuric acid actually cooked the outside of the big mac bun until it was rock hard. Almost as if we left it in the oven to long. Of course when we got to the center of the big mac it began to melt away on contact. We time lapsed this video over a 30 minute period so you could view the entire process quicker. Melting Sand Into Glass LETS MELT THIS 2016-08-21 | In order to melt sand to glass you need temperatures over 3090° F / 1700° C. Melting sand at these temperatures while being able to capture it on camera was made possible by the use of our HHO torch. The HHO torch produces an extremely high flame temperature capable of melting sand while limiting the amount of heat that radiates off of the object. If anyone is wondering this is ordinary beach sand filmed in 4k with a special lens that allowed us to zoom in on the individual grains of sand. When placed under pressure dry ice is able to transform into a liquid state for a short period of time. Eventually the pressure becomes to much for the coca cola bottle and it explodes. What Happens If You Spill Sulfuric Acid On Your Shoes? LETS MELT THIS 2016-08-14 | Ever wonder what happens if you accidentally spill sulfuric acid on your shoes? Believe it or not spilling acid on your shoe is something that could actually happen. Maybe not the amount we poured on top of this shoe, but still, it can happen. The acid dissolved the threading which held the shoe together in a matter of minutes. We had a pair of pliers, a knife and a couple of screw drivers handy for the video. We did not have to tear the shoe apart at all. Simply touching the shoe with any of our tools made the shoe begin to fall apart. This entire process took a little over 25 minutes, we edited the video down to 2 minutes so you could see the entire process quicker. Melting Water Balls LETS MELT THIS 2016-06-22 | We took these water polymer balls (water balz, spitballs, growing water balls, water beads, orbeez) that were sent to us by Vat19 and exposed them to the unique flame of an oxy hydrogen (HHO) torch. The torch was able to melt a hole right through the water marbles which looked awesome from a side angle. Candy Shot Glasses Vs Thermite LETS MELT THIS 2016-05-25 | Melting hard candy shot glasses with thermite! Vat19 was nice enough to send us some hard candy shot glasses so we could melt them. Most people fill these things with alcohol (juice for kids) but we figured we would fill them up with thermite and light it on fire. Melting Magnetic Thinking Putty From Vat19 LETS MELT THIS 2016-05-23 | Melting magnetic thinking putty! Vat19 was nice enough to send us some "Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty" so we could melt it. This magnetic thinking silly putty is infused with millions of black iron oxide particles that make the putty stick to magnets. Silly putty is a non-Newtonian fluid: its viscosity depends on both temperature and on the force applied to it.
