It originally had all red polyethylene brushes and a white frame with blue dryers the standard configuration for Esso car washes from this era. The gas station is now Shell and the car wash is now run by an independent operator. This car wash is always very busy and had the brushes replaced recently. I bought the top wash which I think it’s a little overpriced but the car wash did a good job. As I noticed some of these Istobal M1 has more aggressive brushes specially the side ones that breaks the side view mirror of my car very easily. JVA Scale Model Car Wash CarWash Crazy 2021-12-08 | JVA was a local car wash manufacturer specialized in mini tunnel drive thru car wash. The wash process used to be exactly like shown in the video as the car enters the top brush is activated and soap is applied then the side brushes are activated and the car is rinsed. The top brush turns off after washing the rear of the car and side brushes turns off when the car fully exit the tunnel. This style of car wash was very common in the 80s and 90s and started to disappear in the early 2000s. I tried my best to recreate one of the most iconic car wash from my childhood and was so good to relive all those memories. The color scheme used was from an rare commercial picture from the time.
