Like seriously, it's what, a remix every half year? Most likely the problem is that I'm never happy with the end result of any of my remix's, or that I work on it too much and it starts sounding bad. Like my work in progress folder has so many different projects, and none of them are finished.
Also, I think the visualizer had a little bit too much coffee. Anyway, I think I got a request for Unravel sometime over a year ago from Ryuuga Kaminari, and I just decided to make this remix final, and keep it like a mini remix before I could ruin it. This is like the fifth rendition of Unravel that I have arranged, and it's by far the best one. Hope you are happy with this one Ryuuga.
I plan on revisiting this song in the future, and making it into a full remix sometime in the future, when I'm much better at arranging and whatnot. Hope you guys enjoy.

-Disclaimer----- I do not own the song, or the picture used in this video.Chrono Trigger - Corridors of Time (arr. by Asako Niwa)MusicalTalent2021-03-15 | Probably a bit simpler than other arrangements that you've listened to, but this was the one that was in the official Chrono Trigger piano book that I have.
For those curious, I'll probably upload a picture of the book in my community tab, in case somebody wants to pick up said book. I'll probably cover a few of the songs that are in there, since they're relatively simple yet fun to play. Makes for really nice upload material while I work on my bigger projects.
Speaking of bigger projects, this weekly schedule is much nicer for actually working on bigger projects. It's a lot harder to run out of material, and with the idea of having the Warming Up series, any week where I don't have a song to cover, I could just make a new installment to that. As for what my bigger projects are, I'll probably refrain from actually announcing them until they're actually nearly finished. I don't want them to be stuck in project limbo while I've already announced them.

Hard to match what he can do, but that's to be expected considering the difference in experience between the two of us.
Not entirely satisfied with this performance, what with trying to mix the piano properly to avoid distortion, trying to get the compressor right, etc. The hard part about this song, personally speaking, is keeping the tempo steady. It's easy enough to do in the first half of the song, but once the passage starts with the 16th notes, it becomes way to easy to gradually speed up.
I had started with a bpm of about 62, which is pretty good, considering I didn't have a metronome playing, and once the 16th note passage started, I slowly started to speed up, culminating in a bpm of 70 in the final part. Not the worst thing in the world, but definitely something I can improve, as well as the few fat fingerings I made throughout this performance.
I definitely recommend that you check out Lee Galloway perform it himself. Considering he's the one who arranged this version, he's probably the best person to, as well.
Yeah, I got a 29:34 a few days back, but I wasn't quite satisfied with that run. I'm not quite satisfied with this one either, but I'll be trying to get sub 27 minutes.
This was streamed over on my Twitch, along with the various attempts leading up to it. If you'd like to watch me attempt these speedruns live, consider dropping a follow.

Every road has it's rough spots, but you need to drive through it to get to where you want to go. Even if the first thing you play in the morning sounds like as bumpy as what I played here, that's fine. That's the point of a warm-up; to get you in the groove and get rid of what rust was starting to build.
To try and keep things real, I recorded this while I was warming up, not after. I want to make sure I keep it realistic. If I'm touting this as a series for warming up, but I do all my warming up beforehand and just show off impeccable play, I feel like that'd set a bad standard.
Before I get to why warming up with arpeggios is a good thing, I should probably explain my choice of music. Arpeggios can be boring. Warm ups in general can be boring. When you've played for a number of years, you want to spice things up sometimes, hence my use of the Prelude as a warm up. That's not to say "Don't practice arpeggios" the way your teacher would make you, on the contrary, do those as well.
So, why arpeggios? Well, practicing arpeggios helps develop muscle memory, and given enough time, precision and speed. As you could probably imagine, all three of these things are really important for a pianist, or really any musician. I don't know how many videos in this series I'll do, but I'll probably show how to practice scales and arpeggios the traditional way in the next few entries of this mini-series.
The chords used in this arrangement of the Prelude, in order, would be: Bb add 2, Gm add 2, Bb add 2, Gm add 2, Eb add 2, F add 2, Gb7, Ab7. Rinse and repeat. If you'd prefer actual sheet music, keep an eye out on my community posts. I have some quickly written sheets up in my community tab: youtube.com/channel/UCoFyfka0nd8KuAmTfxZw-xw/community?lb=UgzzUg7wpHUfoBwA-s54AaABCQ
Now, how do you use this to warm up? Start off slow. Uncomfortably slow. We're talking 80 bpm, each note is a quarter note slow. Why start off this slow? Because it's going to make going faster a lot easier, and it's going to help your precision a lot. Take it from me, a lot of times even a pianist of many years has to take things slow first before they progress to the faster stuff. After you get the hang of it at a really slow speed, start to increase the speed. Not by a lot, just by a little each time. Soon, you'll have things up to speed, and it'll feel great.

Got around to putting together a video for this song as well. Not entirely sure how many more music videos I can make in the near future, since I don't have too many left in the backlog that I feel like uploading.
I did start foraying into new content though, so that's exciting, huh? World record level speedrunner... In a category that no one has run so far, but we don't talk about that part...

I picked up this speedrun mainly because a close friend of mine did. It looked pretty fun, and we had completed it multiple times via ye olde 2-players-1-controller method in decent time, so I decided to run it myself.
Quite a few optimizations can be made for this run, and as far as I know, there's no one on the leaderboard for this category yet, so it's not who knows how special, but it was fun to do nonetheless. I'll probably record some commentary and put up a commentated version of this sometime in the future.

I had been sitting on this one for a good 5 months or so. I have a problem where I make something that sounds good to me, then worry about how it will sound to others. Thankfully, I have a few friends who always encourage me, and for that I'm very grateful.
As I said on my To the End video, uploads may start becoming semi-consistent, at least for a little bit, until I can finish uploading a lot of the music that I've been sitting on. After that, well, I'll upload whenever I create more music.

In other news, it's nearly this channel's 7th year anniversary. To think that I started this channel as a way to help teach people piano via Synthesia, and then it turned into what it is... To say that I didn't see it coming would be an understatement. With my focus having shifted elsewhere, trying to change up what content I was making, trying to rebrand a few times, nothing really took off as much as the original idea of teaching piano via Synthesia, but it was a fun journey nonetheless. If it weren't for this channel, I wouldn't have begun writing my own music, or remixing music. I wouldn't have delved head first into designing my own graphics, drawing my own art, or any of that. Can I say I'm really good at any of that? With the exception of remixing and composing, nah. I'm not too great at drawing yet, but that's not the point. The point is that without this channel, I wouldn't have broadened my horizons and picked up all these new skills, and for that, I'm thankful.
Anyway, sappy stuff done, thanks for reading. I'll see you around.
Oh, and also, this song is available on most audio services like Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, etc. Just look for The Last Electron (one of the rebrands I had previously mentioned), and it'll be there for a while. We'll see if I'll renew my publishing subscription, if not, it'll be gone in June. Peace.

So, with the important information out of the way, time for me to ramble.
This is going to be a fairly big undertaking, and while the video may not seem that long, it took a good three days of practicing, editing, and finagling with things to get it done, not including the hour or so spent on arranging the song. Okay, let's take a step back. What is this undertaking? Simply put, I'm just going through some of my favorite songs that either don't have sheets, or don't have sheets that live up to what I want them to be. There are going to be an abundance of artistic liberties, as seen with the bass line of this arrangement, but I'll do my best to stay true to the actual song.
While I probably won't be able to output a song every week, nor will I be able to stick to any one schedule, I'll do my best to make content at least semi consistent. What kind of content can you expect? Well, piano arrangements mainly, as well as bloopers and behind the scenes of the making of said arrangements. In terms of BTS for this video, it should be up soon, just gotta finish editing it together! EDIT: Blooper/BTS video here: youtube.com/watch?v=q8DnuGUBevU
Before I take my leave, I do want to shout out Jonathan Petruescu, who's helped me a lot in the planning and the making of this video! He has a YouTube under the alias DecentPianist, where he also uploads piano videos, as well as an Instagram for photography under the alias Photon.Pix. If you'd like, please check him out!
My Twitter: twitter.com/XDrassusXElectrokinesis | Pokemon X & Y: Powerplant/Pokeball Factory Theme | RemixMusicalTalent2018-06-23 | Hoo boy, does this remix have a story behind it.
Okay, first off, I'm not dead, just kinda shifted my focus on content creating over to Twitch, and live streaming. I will still be working on projects for MusicalTalent, but with a greater focus on remixing and originals, rather than Synthesia, thus, it's gonna take longer for me to put out videos. I'm also taking more classes per semester now, so it's a lot more time efficient to focus on streaming than trying to put out a remix every week.
Okay, back to the story I was referencing about the origins of this song. So, this actually just started off as a random improv on piano, that I thought sounded nice, so I decided to flesh it out a bit in FL Studio. Next thing I know, it's turning into some trance-ish remix of the Pokeball Factory theme, and then after that, somehow, I ended up with a dubstep like remix. T'was a wild ride to experience from start to finish.
This remix is kinda new territory for me. Both in regards to the style of remix, and the visuals of the video. I tried to be creative with the visualizer, and did my best to make it look nice, I think I pulled it off nicely, though I know I could use some more practice. In terms of the mix, it was my first time trying something akin to dubstep, and so I'm not entirely sure how well I pulled it off. I think it's good, but again, I could use some more practice with this style.
Credit for the art: If anybody can find the artist, please, please, PLEASE, let me know. I tried everything I could think of and still couldn't find out who drew this.
This was one of the reasons why I didn't upload over the weekend, as well as me being sick and not having enough energy to deal with some weird graphical issue I got when trying to record a Synthesia video. As you can see, I had to make an entirely new intro/ending for my videos, but since I'm an absolute n00b at After Effects I ended up just customizing a template to suit my needs.
Now to give a more fitting visual for this song than the video I put together, imagine driving 75 mph on the freeway, it's night time and there's nobody else on the road but you. The rain is only a slight, but calming drizzle and the three passengers that you have with you are asleep. You are alone, not physically, but mentally and emotionally. You have passengers, yet you are truly alone, just you and your thoughts.

One thing that I find very amusing, is that while waiting for a piano video to render, I was practicing guitar... A little something I though I'd share... If you are wondering what I was playing, it wasn't any *real* song, just jamming to chord progressions like Em-C-G-D and Am-Em-C-D. Stuff like that. Oh yeah, and I guess you now know that I'm learning guitar :P.
About this song, I don't have much to say, because I've never actually beaten Diamond (the version I had). Yeah, kinda lame that I beat the 8th gym, and stuff, but then never did anything else.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy this arrangement by Commander6!

Seriously, I mean it. Just the beginning of the song looks like it'll give your finger cramps finger cramps... Nah, I think I'm just exaggerating. I might give this song a shot after I finish learning Pachelbel's Canon.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy another Pokemon tutorial by yours truly! Take care until next Saturday!
I had some RL (real life) problems come up, and I wasn't able to upload until they were worked out, and finished popping up. I no longer have anything in the way, so I should be back to uploading on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Thanks for sticking with me!
So I decided to do a KH song today (I actually decided like a few weeks back to do a KH and then an LoZ song, but then, you know, problems came up) to celebrate E3. I know this is about 2 weeks late, but hey, better late than never! I actually became an avid KH fan, after playing the first game, a few months ago I hope you guys like this arrangement by Powerfullest, and know, that I'll be back to my Summer schedule!
So, I know like nothing about Voez, not what it's about or what type of game it is, but I have to admit, this song does sound nice. Anyway, this song was requested by Mcjae (again (not that I have a problem with you requesting songs)).

Hey guys! This one was a request by Mcjae, who also arranged it. This one looks really tough so I would suggest lots of practice. For those of you wondering, I will be uploading The House of The Rising Sun 75% Speed on Sunday. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this arrangement!

Quick tip: Use two different pianos for this song, and have the first person take one part that's higher up and one lower, same for the second one. That way there will be no overlapping on your parts.
So, happy New Years Eve (or New Years) to you guys. I spent nearly all day yesterday finishing this one up and making that intro, just so that I would be able to upload today. Glad I did though, because I think it's an awesome way to end the year.
Now for the song, I decided to use everything that I had learned this year, and decided to go for an Electro feel, instead of me usually trying to go for a House or Trance type and almost never succeeding XD. I think it turned out pretty good, but then that's my own biased opinion. So tell me how you guys (and gals) like it!
Now about the intro, I haven't worked all the details on how I'm going to be using it, but it's for sure to be in remixes and originals. I may add it to the end of my Synthesia tutorials, I'm not too sure. So, tell me how you guys like it, because I really do X3!

Anyway, here is another duet arrangement, this time the song is Everytime You Kissed Me from Pandora Hearts. Also if you could please refrain from putting any spoilers in the comments, for the people that haven't watched it (Or read it... (*pretends not to notice*)). First things first, I tried to get as close to the original piano as I could, I might have been hearing things so don't criticize too much. Ok, I'm joking. I did try and capture the original piano in this tutorial, so it might not sound entirely like the song that you all know. I tried going for something a little different with this one so that's why, if you don't really like this way of arranging it's fine, just tell me in the comments. As I said, I am just trying something new so feedback and/or constructive criticism would be nice! Anyway, hope you guys enjoy this arrangement! Also, @ Acesthepro I'm making steady progress on What Becomes of Us, It's pretty tough to transcribe not gonna lie. But as I said I'm making steady progress, I've gotten to around a minute into it so... AWESOME ARRANGEMENT HYPE... -_- still got like 3 minutes to go...
