This took _ages_ to get right, but wow, was it worth it. This is probably the most insane song I've ever tried to cover! Tim Follin was an absolute master at making the simplest of audio chips sound like a real musician going ham on their electric guitar.

Here's a song I did in collaboration with @MaryStrawberry16! I'm always impressed by her compositions and contributed this arrangement of what was originally just a piano demo she made. Like all the videos of this project's music, there's a little background information about the song and our ideas for its context in the game. Enjoy!

This is a Game Boy ROM designed for use in the Super Game Boy that highjacks the SNES side of things, runs some code, and plays a funky little song!
The glitch at the beginning is (according to my friend Pinci) because I forgot to set the feedback settings *before* turning on the volume. Here's an SPC download with this bug fixed: dropbox.com/s/sr0r3d5ygq18wvh/EssGeeBee.spc?dl=0
As always, I made this in everybody except me's least favorite tracker, EBMusEd! I swear I'll get around to making tutorials soon!! 🙏
ROM space was limited, so special thanks to my current patrons!

I have a copy of the Twitch VOD with slightly clearer audio, I think I'll eventually host it on Patreon.

This is a cover I started right after working on Once Upon A Rush! After such a complicated, over-the-top arrangement, I yearned for something nice, short, and sweet, and this fit the bill!

You may remember that in 2019, I did something similar to this...! youtube.com/watch?v=8KTvjRe5vyA
This trailer demake, with visuals by the_regressor, was reported on by Polygon and a bunch of other gaming news sites! This song would have been for another one based on last year's E3 trailer, but now he's working on an original game project, which takes priority! Check him out here - twitter.com/the_regressor
It was composed by Random Stuff, then sequenced by me! He sent me a MIDI demo and I made it sound Star Fox-y. More of this to come hopefully!
Originally composed by Kazumi Totaka!
This game, also known as Lunar Chase, was made by the same people that made the original Star Fox! It's really hard to come by, but I highly reccomend playing it any way you can.
This song is going to be used in the romhack "Star Fox Exploration Showcase", which you can find more information about here! romhacking.net/hacks/5510
Here's an arrangement I've been working on slowly for the past few months!
All of these instruments are from Chrono Trigger, thanks to a BRR file importer tool that I programmed! EBMusEd loads whatever instruments it finds in the game ROM, and now it's possible to put in anything you want, even sounds you record yourself!
There are a lot more improvements to EBMusEd that are being worked on by the community right now, like SPC exporting, as well as importing SPCs from games that used the same variant of the sound engine, like F-Zero and Star Fox! I can't wait to play around with them!
Album art by vera, etc ~ https://linktr.ee/veraetcetera
Included are five bonus tracks (that are unfinished/aren't cool enough to go on the album), as well as photos from the game jams!

Here's a cover I've been wanting to do for a while! It's a remix of Snowman that first appeared on the old Rock Candy collaborative remix album that starmen.net put on in the early 2000s. I'm always on the lookout for bonus songs I can include in the Mother 1 Remake project - I think that a good place for this song to appear in-game is the church where you first meet Ana.
It has a mostly acapella soundtrack as well, and it sounds incredible. This song is one of the only exceptions. The show doesn't have any sort of soundtrack release, so I've titled this song "Mysteries" since it's mostly used when the main characters are uncovering the town's historic secrets.
I first saw the show here on YouTube in the summer of 2014-ish and it helped me through a tough combination of a summer Statistics class and my first internship. Now I have a copy of the DVD release and re-watch it every year or so.
This was pretty simple and took about a half a day to a day to put together, and I mostly did it to warm up/get myself in the mood to work on a different music project that I still haven't quite finished yet.

Something like this actually happened when I first bought it. I ended up fixing it by re-soldering the pins on the MIDI In port, maybe I should try that again... Or maybe I should buy an actual SOUND Canvas. LOL
For a few years now, I've been kinda low-key obsessed with this musical, and another musical by the same composer called Ghost Quartet. I highly reccomend both, they're a bit confusing but everything makes more sense with each subsequent listen, and they kind of defy description. I think most of my favorite things are like that.
I am so proud of this cover. I submitted it to today's Beatles takeover day on SilvaGunner, it's the second one of these I've made. (The first was a somewhat hastily-thrown together cover of I Me Mine by George Harrison that I hope to revisit one day.)
Oh yeah, I'm also launching a Patreon! I love making SNES chiptune and all kinds of weird stuff, and every once and a while I get questions about if it's possible to directly support me. Well, now it is! I'm planning on doing livestreams where people can call in via Discord, posting work-in-progress stuff, and having polls for various things. And also physical things like mixtapes! I don't expect many people to sign up for that tier, though.
Just like my last upload, here's another collab album entry! This track is also a joint submission with @emmbeesea
I love the OPL3 so much. Pretty soon I'll get back to new SNES covers though... I'm working on something that's gonna knock your socks off :D
...Whaddya mean this is Windows 98 and not DOS?!?!
Last winter, the folks at SilvaGunner collaborated on an album of original remixes for the 10th anniversary of Snow halation. @emmbeesea and I submitted this remix! She came up with the arrangement, and I adapted it for the OPL3 chip! This is Cakewalk running on the same laptop I had growing up, the Toshiba Tecra 8000.
Here's another in the long series of "song I can't get out of my head so the only thing I can do is cover it!" Also known as the backing track for Rapp Snitch Knishes. I should use chipsynth to make mockups of EBMusEd stuff, this was super fun to put together.
This uses all original BRR files! More of this to come in the future!
It's rather short compared to the other songs on the album, but I'm proud of what I was able to come up with! Especially since when I made this, a few months ago, my health was starting to really go downhill. (I'm getting better now thankfully)
If anyone's interested, here's the initial mockup I made of this song: youtu.be/WUclJub8SD8

I finished this a few days ago! I'm really proud of the vibe this one has.
Here's another contribution by Pinci! Check out his channel here! youtube.com/channel/UCmKhaF6XAhGFE2tBLIPOcYA
This one was originally sequenced by BlueStone, and has been in the project for several years. You can actually hear it in a few of H.S's videos. In this revision, I fixed a few errors (most notably instances of several differing note length commands written one after another, which can cause playback glitches) and added more harmony.

Here's another one of Pinci's contributions!
This was originally supposed to be the straight-up house theme, but H.S said it was a bit too floaty. (It's based off of part of the Snowman theme on the vocal OST!) I haven't cleared the idea with him ('cause he's currently AWOL from the Slack again) but I think this would make an awesome house theme in Magicant!
The soundtrack's on bandcamp too! williamkage.bandcamp.com/album/otosan-first-day-demo-ost

There's another track I worked on that'll appear later on in the game - it hasn't been revealed yet, but I'm so excited to see people's reactions to it!
Really happy with how this turned out! The world needs more Ghibli x Chrono covers.
This uses instruments from Radical Dreamers, the visual novel spinoff on the Satellaview. play it if you haven't already, it's delightfully atmospheric and perfect for this time of year.
