Although red diamonds do NOT respawn like purple diamonds, they are accounted for when you find an exit, even if it's an exit that unlocks a secret path. That's what I show on this video.Of course, in order to get the "perfect" message for getting all the red diamons, you need to get them all and the find the regular exit (the one that unlocks the next regular stage, and not a secret path) on a single run through the stage.Some people insist that bugs associated with red diamonds and exits that unlock secret stages have prevented them from getting all 99 red diamonds at the end of the game. Well, all I can say is that this has never happened to me. If you are concerned, you may consider grabbing all the red diamonds in the regular stages before unlocking secret paths. Secret stages tend to be the tougher stages in a world anyway (except for Tibet or Siberia last regular stages)...

But you need to get the Mystic Hook on your first run through this stage. Diamond Rush Perfect Walkthrough: Bavaria Secret Stage 3 olafthestoutviking 2010-05-23 | There is a glitch in this stage, at least in my version of the game, 1.0.3 (you can check your version choosing "about" in the menu). I guess the glitch is related to collision detection (which seems to be tile-based). You can see the glitch at 1:35 and 2:13. The character keeps trying to climb up (because I was pressing the up key), but the game blocks the move. You can check (by advancing frame by frame) that I waited a complete retreat from the spike before trying to move. I nailed it at 2:50. Using the checkpoint seemed to help, but maybe I just waited a little longer before moving. There is little room for error, the spike advances into that critical tile as soon as I leave it. I strongly suggest you don't mind if you get hit at this point, as aiming for no hits can get quite frustrating here. I wanted to show it's possible, but it costed me a considerable amount of tries. There are more than enough extra lives in the game anyway... You may even notice I wasted many lives between secret stages 1 and 2, because the game doesn't give you further extra lives if you reach 99, and I wanted to show every available extra live in this walkthrough.
