Toenail Removal Follow Up Abby Red 2025-02-24 | I had my follow up appointment on Valentine’s Day. It went well and I’m so glad to be moving past all of this.At this point now, I am applying anti fungal cream 3 times a day. My toe skin looks great, I’m not in any pain, and I can wear socks and shoes. I probably could have started wearing sneakers last week but I didn’t want to press my luck and damage my nail bed. I recommend toenail removal to get rid of fungus opposed to taking meds. It removes the ugly nail and the fungal cream can penetrate the nail bed. We like to get these soothing pedicures to make our feet and toes look good but even in the NICEST establishments, there is a possibility of getting a nail fungus! This toenail has given me issues from the way that it looks to the pain of the ingrown sidewalls. I went to a podiatrist and he said that we could get rid of it with medication but it would take 6 months to 2 years depending on how fast the nail grows. 4 Month Braces Update 😬 Abby Red 2024-08-10 | Here is my 4 month old update.At my appointment in July, they tightened 2 bottom teeth and when I tell you that I was in pain… It was so PAINFUL! I could barely eat for about 2 weeks. Here we are in August and just when I’ve been able to eat comfortably the past 2 weeks, another appointment. Today they put in a thicker wire so that the teeth can start shifting a little more. I got a little bit of a darker blue color which still looks icy ❄️ on my braces. They told me that I will have some soreness over the next couple of days and as my teeth start moving, the wire may start to poke in the back. If this happens, I can go get it clipped. As of now, I feel a little tenderness with my 2 front teeth on the top.With all of this being said, the bottom row of teeth have been the most painful of it all. Getting little bruises inside the jaws isn’t so bad because that goes away pretty quickly. I will update you all in the next month or 2.PS. I just noticed that I wore a yellow shirt on my last videos. He also put the clear bands on my top teeth pretty well. There were a few mishaps though during the process… it’s not my style to bash anyone over the internet so I will not be listing the office name or the assistants name + he was training 🥴1. When he got to the bottom, he was having trouble putting the wire in. It took a few tries before he got it in there. 2. He absolutely could not get the clear bands on at first. It took him so long trying to get them on that I almost asked him if I needed to choose a different color to make it easier.3. He STABBED my gums with the tool! I literally had to take a minute to compose myself before I got angry and socked him. It didn’t pierce my gums to the point of bleeding but it hurt like the dickens!!!!!4. The orthodontist had to come fix/tighten the wire because the assistant had it too loose.He was a nice person overall but needless to say, he will not be working on my mouth again.It has now been a few days later and my bottom teeth hurt. It feels like they are loose (I know this is normal), it hurts to chew in the front, and the brackets are tearing the inside of my bottom lip/jaw up! The wax really doesn’t help since I can’t keep it in while chewing. That’s when it hurts the underlying skin the most. I started trying to get my 2 front teeth fixed almost 2 years ago but the aligners from Smile Direct didn’t work after (3) six months treatments. I feel that I have pretty straight teeth overall but it’s the 2 front teeth that are turned inwards. When you are talking to someone face to face, the first thing that you notice are their eyes or mouth. When I smile, I want to smile with confidence so hopefully the next few months will help give me that.
