As I anticipate that there will be a lot of Ignite covers soon to flood YouTube, I have decided not to practice it just yet, so here is the MIDI video of my arrangement.
Note it is not me who is playing, but it is the computer, hence the term MIDI, so I apologise for the monotonic dynamics in this cover.
The sheets are also provided above along with the MIDI file, so please enjoy it!
The program I used here was MIDITrail, which can be obtained for free if you do a little Google search.
The chords of this arrangement were inspired by InnnocentOracle's cover. Feel free to check out his awesome improvisation: youtube.com/watch?v=-WalVDowEd4

P.S: As a fellow pianist Mushyrulez pointed out, these chords are not entirely accurate to the original, but in my opinion it sounds nicer. For anyone curious of the original chords, the correct chords are:
0:11 - Stays at A Minor. 0:25 - Stays at A Minor. 1:11 - Should be an E Major Chord. 1:16 - Melody note should be an E.

To quickly recap (from my latest Facebook update), I have been inactive this year because I successfully gained entry to medical school in Australia at the start of the year, and having to adapt to the new field of study and demanding workload kept me away from my hobbies and channel. However, with final exams being over in November, I am happy to say that I have successfully passed all my 1st year studies, and get to enjoy 3 months of holidays before I continue my studies next year in March!
Having not uploaded in an entire year, my piano and transcribing skills have pretty much rusted away. However, I am still alive and kicking, and I have been able to keep up to date with each anime season. Since this season is coming to an end, I decided to do a little improvisation performance before I attempt to start a proper sheet/project next season.
Dr. Stone is a series that I have been 10 billion percent enjoying recently. It’s coming to an end this week, so I will be sad to see it go. Hopefully it gets another season in the future, since science-y/techy anime are always exciting to see!
As is tradition, I will be travelling in the country around Christmas time. Having finished one year of medical school and feeling that I have mostly adapted to the lifestyle, I hope to reintegrate my hobbies and find time to work on new piano projects soon next year!
For now, enjoy the finales of this anime season, and I will see you all in my next update (on Facebook)! :D

Title: Dr. Stone Airdate/Season: July 2019 (Summer 2019)
This is probably one of my top original anime of this year, in contention with Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba). As a person from a science background, this series has been super enjoyable (10 billion percent enjoyable, if you ask me), and just overall exciting to watch! I would definitely recommend this anime to everyone, as it should appeal to a large audience, and really gets us thinking about how fortunate we are to be surrounded by such technology and science in today's civilisation. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Music Piece details:

Here is my 2nd improvised performance, which is on the opening theme of the new Sword Art Online season (S3/Alicization), "ADAMAS" by LiSA.
While not as long as my previous improvisation on the Bunny Girl Senpai opening theme, I also decided to extend the introduction section of this piece. Although the original piece is already perfect as it is, I personally wanted to add a bit more to the introduction to "build up" to the signature guitar riff/melody just before LiSA's first verse.
Because of this, I can say that the introduction is definitely my favourite part of this piece to play. The feeling of building up and finally "unleashing" the signature guitar melody is really satisfying haha! The fast octaves and overall tempo of this piece are challenging though, as shown by some of my slip-ups.
This upload ultimately marks the conclusion to my 2018 anime piano year. In the meantime, I will be looking to work on the next anime season especially as previews are gradually being released at the moment.
For now, I would like to wish all you guys an early Merry Christmas and safe travels for the holiday season! As is tradition, I will be writing my end-of-year summary on New Year's on my FB page.
See you all soon! :)

P.S: A recap for new viewers:
As originally announced on my FB page, I have been busy in the past 2 months due to final exams as well as organising a vacation trip (which is next week). However, I have been working on my improvising skills, and I was able to record my 2 improvised performances from this anime season – the opening themes from Bunny Girl Senpai (my previous upload), and SAO S3 (this video) before leaving for my trip next week.
This is first for me, considering that I have always gone from creating sheet music to learning it on the piano then recording. As such, there were some obvious mistakes during the recording, but I hope to continue developing my improvising skills in the background. This will be a rare occasion, as for the next anime season I will resume my normal schedule of "sheet music to recording". - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Visit my FaceBook here: facebook.com/PianistIconic

Title: Sword Art Online: Alicization (Season 3) Airdate/Season: October 2018 (Fall 2018)
Compared to the first 2 seasons, there has been a noticeable improvement in the overall quality of the story (owing to Reki Kawahara's growth as an author), as well as the animation style carried on from the movie aesthetic of Ordinal Scale. Despite its flaws, SAO has always been one of the series I enjoy, but I feel that so far this 3rd season is definitely worth watching due to the improvements in quality.

As such, there were some obvious mistakes during the recording, but I hope to continue developing my improvising skills in the background. This will be a rare occasion, as for the next anime season I will resume my normal schedule of "sheet music to recording".
This particular improvisation was interesting, as rather than sticking to the original piece in a 1:1 fashion, I decided to go for a more "sentimental" or "mellow" feel instead of the original upbeat rock/pop style. This was inspired from my experience with watching the anime (it is one of the series I continuously keep up to date with), where I felt that the emotional aspects of each arc really made an impact on the viewing experience.
Because of this, I created an original "introduction" which was still based on the original melody but more softer and drawn out in a similar manner to Animenz's "Hikaru Nara". Overall, the piece starts off at a slower pace but eventually builds up to the chorus. Finally, I ended the piece with a variation of my original introduction.
If I had to draw a comparison, this improvisation really reminds me of my old cover of the Assassination Classroom ending theme, "Hello, Shooting Star", where I made an original introduction and extended the ending. In the end, I can say that I definitely had fun creating this particular improvisation!
My next improvisation of the opening theme to SAO S3 (Alicization) should be uploaded very soon. Please stay tuned!

Here’s an extra little video of some improvisation after the masterclass session, where Animenz asked me to do an improvised duet of Sword Art Online S2’s opening theme, Ignite, with him. We did this for fun, and to show Ishter how it feels like to be in-between two pianos (RIP his hearing though xD).
Unfortunately, it has been a while since I did the SAO S2 OP, so my chords were rusty haha. I could only accompany him, but in the end, it was all casual and in good fun!
Once again, thank you to my buddy and fellow anime pianist AnimePianoAngel for the recording!

2 days ago, my home city finally got to witness the live concert of Animenz and TheIshter’s anime piano tour in Australia. While I did attend Animenz’s Sydney concert in October of last year, it’s a special feeling to see both Animenz and Ishter re-unite to perform in our own home city.
Yesterday was the piano masterclass where Animenz and Ishter walked through their methodology of arranging anime music. Before they began, they gave us an opportunity to perform for them, and they used our performances to give feedback on certain piano techniques.
Having only performed in front of an audience only once in my entire life (at a school assembly), it was tough to contain my nerves, especially since it was in front of these two amazing pianists! I was so glad I was able to complete my performance without stopping, although looking back I really did rush the tempo haha! Playing on a different piano threw me off, but thankfully I recovered in the end.
I would also like to mention the other performer, SeaSea, did a beautiful rendition of Ishter’s Tokyo Ghoul OST – Glassy Sky. Feel free to check out her performance here: youtube.com/watch?v=6lXpnNZ7dCM
I would like to thank Animenz and Ishter for bringing their music to our small city of Adelaide! It was a 5-year dream that they would come to Australia, let alone Adelaide, and we really hope they return in the future. I would also like to thank the organisers at ConBrio/YouBrio for giving me the opportunity to perform in the masterclass, and my fellow anime pianist buddy AnimePianoAngel for recording my performance.

It has been over 5 months since I last updated my Facebook page. I can say that I am definitely still alive, just that I ended up getting swept by university assignment hell :P .
However, in that time period, my setup has received an upgrade! As promised in my latest Facebook post, here is an audio test of my new setup - a pair of Line Audio Design OM1 omni-directional condenser microphones + a 2nd gen Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 audio interface. With this upgrade, I hope to improve upon the viewing and listening experience of my videos for you guys.
Now, perhaps the fact that I have uploaded an audio test using an Animenz arrangement (albeit, shortened) may come off as a surprise. This is because Animenz and Ishter are hosting a concert tour in Australia in October 2018 and opened up an audition slot for anyone to try out. Because of this, I originally planned to give the audition a try with Animenz’s arrangement of this opening theme, but due to the busy university life, my schedule did not go to plan and I could not find the time to polish my performance.
With that being said, I have tried my best to perform a TV-sized version of Animenz’s arrangement, and I can only hope that I manage to do this piece justice in the future when my piano skills improve. For now, this is my best attempt at possibly my first ever Animenz piece, and I can say that I have no regrets learning this piece.
With the Summer 2018 anime season coming to an end, I hope to make an actual return for the upcoming Fall 2018 anime season. For now, take care, and stay tuned for a new anime piano project from me (fingers crossed!).

I am excited to finally release my first official project on my new piano!
Aimer's unique vocal style really does add an atmosphere of power to this ballad-style ending theme. I have therefore tried my best to accurately arrange the ballad section of the song (which is from the introduction until the start of the chorus) using soft chords in both hands while keeping the melody highlighted.
On the other hand, the chorus of my arrangement is a completely different matter. While the original song builds up to a strong chorus, I decided to go the opposite and interpret the first part as a light jazzy section. This marks the first time I have incorporated grace notes (those 'sliding' notes) without any jazz knowledge, so I hope to learn how to use them properly in the future.
The second part of the chorus is more in-line with the original, where I transition from a light melody down to a powerful rhythm-dominated section. Over the months of offline piano practice, I have decided to pay more attention to rhythm when arranging/improvising with the left hand.
Overall, this arrangement has allowed me to build upon the techniques I have acquired since my Granblue Fantasy and Tsurezure Children projects (which are the rhythm-based left hand and the 3-handed techniques). Thank you for watching!

While I have not quite finished the anime, my impressions after watching a number of episodes was positive. I have heard that the anime was decently received by the community especially in consideration of how it tackles a tough theme (the theme of lovers with a large age-difference), so if you are open-minded to that kind of theme, the series may be worth a try.

My new Boston grand piano has finally arrived! It is a 2017 Boston ‘GP-178 Performance Edition II’ grand piano. If you follow my Facebook page, I hinted towards the acquisiton of a new grand piano on New Year’s Day. It took a long 1.5 months to ship from a different city, since my city does not have an official Steinway retailer.
This upload serves as a short audio test for the piano, where I used my Zoom H2n microphone to record it (in XY configuration). The audio has not been edited in any way (it came straight out of the recorder). For this audio test, I improvised the short version of Koe no Katachi’s OST ‘Lit’ purely from memory, so I apologise if it is not accurate or entirely correct.
Despite the limited size of my room and lack of a dedicated microphone setup (such as proper studio microphones), so far it does sound surprisingly good without any edits. In the future, I may have to investigate how it performs when it comes to louder/powerful pieces.
In regards to my seasonal arrangement projects, the truth is that I have ran into a ‘Musician’s block’, whereby I seem to have come to a halt regarding arranging a Winter 2018 anime theme. In the past month, I have actually worked on arranging a TV-sized sheet for Koi wa Ameagari no You Ni’s ending theme, ‘Ref:rain’ by Aimer, where I have done everything up to the first part of the chorus but appear to be stuck for the second part. I may need some time to find more ideas to finish off the sheet.
For now until university kicks in next week, I will try and finish off the Ref:rain sheet. After that, I will most likely prepare to select and arrange a new piece from the upcoming Spring 2018 anime when the previews start to roll out.

This is probably one of the best recent anime movies alongside with Kimi no Na wa (Your Name). Even though I have not read the source material (manga), Kyoto Animation did a great job at making the movie impactful.
While I am aware that source readers have stated that a lot of content have been removed in the adaptation (which understandable considering that a whole manga was adapted into a feature-length movie), I can definitely recommend this movie as an anime-only watcher.

It's about time I recorded this long overdue arrangement!
Despite being only a 1 minute long arrangement (due to the anime series being 12-minutes in length, so OP/ED sequences are shortened by 30 seconds), this is probably my toughest arrangement yet. There are two key difficulties with this arrangement - the 3-handed technique combined with the fast RH runs in the verse, and the LH bass jumps in the chorus. It was mainly the 3-handed technique section that added an extra month to the delay.
I am glad to finally publish this cover, right before my end of year exams that are coming up in 2 weeks. Part of my motivation to finally record this comes from my recent trip to Animenz's Australian Live Concert tour, where I flew to Sydney to witness his playing, as well as meet up with fellow anime pianist Fonzi M to attend the Animenz's masterclass. It was by far one of the best experiences I have had, and well worth the far trip!
With this project completed, I will take some time off to cover for my exams, before returning mid-November to tackle a new arrangement project. Having attended Animenz's masterclass, I will try and bring forth what I have learned from him into my new arrangements.
Thanks for watching, and I hope to see you all soon!

The first quarter (and the accompanying 2 week break) of my first year of University is over, and I will be approaching the mid year exam season soon. Since I have taken up a music technology course as an elective course (I major in the Health/Medical sciences field), I have been familiarising myself with the music department and spending my free time playing on the university's pianos. As a result, I chose to record on this Yamaha C7 grand, with a bright sound suited for pop music.
This arrangement can be seen as an evolution of my Sakamoto Desu ga? OP performance, as it attempts to incorporate more 3-handed technique passages and experimental runs. For example, in the verse, I have tried to replicate the background guitar riff and the drums with my left hand while playing the vocal melody with my right hand. While it took almost one month to transcribe this piece (due to university and lack of motivation), I find it quite fun to perform.
I have to admit that I still have not mastered the arrangement enough, which is evident through some obvious mistakes I made. However, I love to develop arrangements on the complex side, as it allows me to keep pushing my abilities to greater heights. Nonetheless, I would have certainly benefited from more time and practice.
Enjoy the performance! Depending on my university workload, I may be able to squeeze in another project from this season. If I can, it will probably be a simpler arrangement.

I have not played the original mobile game, but I have heard that the music composer and art director are both notable for their work in a number of Final Fantasy titles. The anime so far definitely gives off a classic RPG vibe, so I am curious to where it will head. I hope everyone had a great New Years 2017 celebration! This arrangement was meant to be for the Christmas/New Years occasion, but I ended up taking longer than expected to transcribe it. :o
For this cover, I went for the 'original' style of arranging by attempting to stick closely to the original piece. While I considered arranging a full version, I ultimately decided that my current skill level was not enough to do one.
With the new year, it is about time I take my videos to the next level! I recently obtained a new Sony A7R II camera to take over my aging Canon 600D. To make the most of it, I decided to shoot in RAW 4K (Ultra HD) and learn the tedious process of hand colour-grading video.
I can definitely say that for this cover, the video post-production was equally long as the arranging process. However, as long as I can deliver high quality videos and sheets to you guys, all the hard work will be worth it :)
Lastly, I would like to extend my thanks to all my (500+) supporters for tuning into this channel. A lot of things have happened in the past 2 months after my exams, notably the fact that my state's Year 12 results were released. I ended up being ranked as a top 7 student in my entire state (out of 15,000+ graduates), so I am stroked to have completed my high school journey on a good ending!
With this cover finally complete, I shall be proceeding to my next project for the new anime season soon. Please enjoy my performance!

With my final exams approaching in less than 2 weeks, the end of my high school journey becomes nearer with each day that passes. In fact, today officially marks the end of Year 12 (grade 12) school lessons for me! It is therefore safe to say that this will be my last cover until my exams are over on the 16th November.
With that being said, the primary reason that this cover exists is because of the fact that I recently acquired a Zoom H2n handy recorder, a microphone that is popular amongst YouTube musicians. In deciding on how to test it out, my good friend recommended me to cover the KonoSuba ending. As exams were fast approaching, I decided to create an improvisation-style arrangement that was simple to play.
Therefore, this cover is not in my usual complex 'Iconic' style, but more of an improvisation instead. Since I am a terrible improviser (you may already know that my aural skills are lacking), I had to made some sheet music in order to play it :P
Another interesting discovery that I made was how surprised I was at the quality of the video. Because I recorded this at school, I decided to use my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (3 year old phone) rather than bring along my usual bulky DSLR (Canon EOS 600D). Somehow, my phone's 4K ultra HD turned out to be much better than my DSLR's full HD videos!
Finally, I used Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 to render this video instead of my usual CyberLink PowerDirector 11, due to the fact that PowerDirector has been drastically reducing the quality of my past videos.
Ultimately, from these new experiences, you can expect me to put out higher quality covers after my final exams are over :) Playing on an acoustic piano is definitely more fun than a digital one, even though this piano was pretty old!
Due to the tight time constraints, this performance is nowhere near perfect (my tempo may be off). Nonetheless, please enjoy my performance!
Stay tuned and thanks for your support!

Title: Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Airdate/Season: January 2016 (Winter 2016)
When I originally read the manga adaptation (it's originally a Light Novel), it wasn't very enjoyable for. However, when I picked up the anime, my expectations were completely exceeded. It became a very enjoyable comedy anime that parodied the stereotypical 'transported to another world' plotline. After finishing up season 1, I began to read the light novel and found it to be a fun read.
With season 2 right around the corner in January 2017, my hype couldn't be more contained. A definite recommendation from me for anyone who enjoys RPG-themed comedy anime with a slice of fanservice!

It's about time I got around to finally record this opening that I have been working on for the past month or so!
This is probably one of the more frustratingly hard arrangements I have made, in the sense that it's tiring to practice and perform. In my opinion, the difficult parts of the arrangement are the 3-handed technique section at the beginning of the verse, the left hand jumps in the verse, and the rapid right hand blocks of chords all the way through the arrangement.
At 188 beats per minute, it definitely takes a toll on your strength, so I apologise if my tempo and dynamics are way off. After doing more than 15 takes, this is the best run I have managed out of them, as my hands were practically dead at the end of the session! Otherwise, it was fun to arrange this opening on Piano. It's a relatively straightforward J-rock opening, so I decided to keep my arrangement accurate to the original.
This season of anime sure has a lot of great openings and endings, but interestingly it is the most hyped anime series that are getting the attention of the piano community. I hope to squeeze in another arrangement of the lesser known animes before this season is over. :D
Thank you for listening as always, and please enjoy the performance in spite of it being far from perfect! :)

Title: Sakamoto Desu ga? (Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto) Airdate/Season: April 2016 (Spring 2016)
Unfortunately the manga was shortlived despite being top notch (the author decided to end it early), so I have faith that the anime adaptation does the manga the justice it deserves.
So far, it looks like Studio DEEN is hitting it out of the park with this one, it's a very enjoyable comedy anime revolving around a perfect first year high school student called 'Sakamoto', who has absolutely no flaws at all!

Well, after recovering from a right hand injury and surviving loads of school work, I am happy to release my Noragami Aragoto ED arrangement!
Rather than going for a complex approach and failing to practice it (like my Charlotte ED, although I will upload it in the future eventually), I chose to arrange a simple yet fun to play cover of this piece.
This cover is partially inspired by Kisakina98's arrangement, especially the chord progression, whose arrangement can be found here:
I do realise that my right hand and pedalling may be off in this cover, but that's due to the rust I have gathered during my recovery period from my right hand injury. I have been trying my best to get back on track, although the fact that my end-of-year school exams are in 2 weeks doesn't help :P.
I may be late to the party, but I hope you enjoy my arrangement of this wonderful piece by Tia and ryo/supercell, who are my favourite artists :).

Wow, already, half a year has passed since my last upload.
I guess since it's my second to last year of high school, there are things that I have to prioritise in order to pursue my academic goals and expectations. For those who have tuned in my FaceBook page, you will know what I have been up to.
In the past half year, I have been putting a strong focus on my school life, and as a result, my motivation for both Piano and Anime diminished over time. I have actually skipped the entire Fall season of anime (except for OreGairu Zoku :3), and only recently have I made a return to anime.
One of the most important events in the past half year is that I have transferred into a University-like school, in hopes of maximising my productivity. It was a very hard decision, to leave my good buddies behind, who I have known since the start of my high school years, but of course, we are all still in contact :).
Even during the tough times in the past half year, I still wanted to keep my Piano hopes alive. Therefore, I decided to turn this piece into a special arrangement. It is still a cover of the TV sized opening of Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, but I decided to incorporate all the ideas and inspiration that I have gathered from the 6 month period, and arrange them into a short original introduction that is based on the motifs of the TV size. I also decided to extend the ending of this piece by arranging a "soft" version of the chorus and finally closing it off on a peaceful note.
You may or may not like the original parts that I have incorporated, but this piece has been my most challenging piece to practice and perform to date, and therefore, has a special meaning to me.
So for those who have waited the past half year for my covers, I would like to say a very big thank you for remaining faithful to my channel, and being patient as always! :D
P.S: Sorry about the lighting, forgot to tune my camera's sensitivity up a notch. But hey it's a Shooting Star, best viewed in the dark :v - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Visit my FaceBook here: facebook.com/PianistIconic

Finally, I've been able to find some motivation to record this cover!
It's quite interesting, how such a dark anime can have an ending piece like this one :o Nonetheless, it is a beautiful piece, so I had the desire to cover it from when I first heard it!
About the arrangement itself, I've kind of been inspired by Animenz's techniques (especially in his Guilty Crown OP arrangement), so I attempted to implement one or two into this cover (such as the trill and 3rd voice in the transition to the chorus). Although, I realised how loud I did the trill over the melody, so please bear with that :3 It is also partly inspired by PianoPond's cover.
Recently, I've gone swimming a lot, which has unfortunately resulted in my left ear being temporarily deaf for the past few days. So apologies if I failed to articulate the bass (left hand) correctly!
Despite the difficulties, I hope you enjoy this cover!

[Main commentary is in the video, please watch it first!]
So it has been an interesting one year journey so far for me!
This was a little recording I did as a greeting for a friend one year ago, on 24th December 2013. Looking back at it, I have gone a long way, even in just one year!
This was actually recorded just 15 days after I started self-learning the Piano, and I somehow managed to improvise Jingle Bells with some help from sheet music and by ears.
Not to mention the video and audio quality itself! Even though I actually used the same camera as I do today (Canon EOS 600D), the quality was terrible, due to the fact that I used 720P under bad lighting. I guess there is always a starting point everywhere :D
As for the sound quality, I used PianoTeq 2.3 to record this very cover, since I thought it was a very decent quality VST back in the time where I didn't know how to mix very well :P (you decide whether it is still good by today's standards!)
So with that all being said, I would like to once again, thank all my supporters for being my source of motivation that has allowed me to carry on in the art of self-studying Piano! Without that, I wouldn't be able to progress this far on my own.
Have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year 2015 once again!

Before I wanted to say anything, I would like to wish you all a safe Merry Christmas, and a bright Happy New Year 2015! It is this time of the season again, and you know what that means! SHORTS galore! (For those who don't understand, Australia is literally burning in December, so we have a warm Christmas unlike the lucky West ._.)
Now, I would like to apologise for being away for so long. My final exams in November were sure a heated battlefield, and I finally made it out with some satisfactory results! However, that hiatus made a dent on my motivation for these past two months, and hence why I wasn't able to return at my desired time as I stated on my FB (late Nov to early Dec).
For those who regularly keep up on my FB (it's here if anyone's interested: facebook.com/PianistIconic), this arrangement should be a surprise, as I didn't announce it. Rather, this was meant to be my 100 subscribers special, so I would like to thank you all for being wonderful supporters, and for being patient with my busy schedule!
With this, I wanted to talk about this arrangement a little. This was actually my first arrangement that didn't require 100% support from my own sheets, but rather, mentally arranged at the piano with SOME help from sheets later on (to correct the melody timing). Unfortunately, due to my hiatus, my piano skills have been very rusty, so I apologise for the wacky tempo and dynamics this time round.
But, I would like to say that I am back! (for now at least). Next year will be busy for me unfortunately, so I will try my best to make the most out of my holidays from Dec to late Jan next year.

Finally, after 2 months of inactivity, here it is, my ultimate Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun OP arrangement! Even better, I finally got Synthogy Ivory working after 7 months of hibernation :D
I am quite surprised by the fact that there are hardly any covers of this awesome opening, but it is to be expected since Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is one of the smaller gems of this season.
This is probably one of the hardest songs I've ever attempted to transcribe, melody and structure wise. There are lots of notes that are outside the key, so I am not 100% confident that my arrangement is accurate to the song, let alone, getting the key signature right.
However, please enjoy it! It is also one of my more demanding transcriptions, taking me almost two months to learn! My playing might be more in tempo now, as I 'now' practice and record with a metronome. The chord progression of this arrangement was inspired by Dossi333's cover.
One last word, this is perhaps my last arrangement for the next two months, as I will be transitioning to a hiatus to prepare for my very important final exams (not graduating High school yet, but I am accelerated on some subjects, which means that I will be graduating those this year).
My exams will be in early November, so I will no longer be as active in the next two months. Wish me luck! :D I'll be back in late November~
Thank you for being patient and supporting me as always, I am very honoured to have reached 60 subscribers/supporters! Every comment counts, so don't be shy to talk to me :D I will try my best to reply!
I picked up this anime expecting for it to be a generic rom-com/shoujo, but instead, I got a recipe for laughter.
This has to be one of the best comedy shows this season, with each episode offering different and unpredictable quirks.
You may think this is a shoujo by the name itself, but guess what, it's a rom-com anime that PARODIES shoujo manga, which makes it even more hilarious.

Man, it has been a while since I last uploaded, I sincerely apologise for the wait. Preparation for my mid-year exams (our mid-year exams take place in June) and countless study nights kept me away from my Piano for a while, so I went on an unannounced hiatus. Although I finished the sheets in late May/early June, I didn't get a chance to practice it until late June.
This is actually my first transcription, but I uploaded my WA2 transcription first due to the ease of it. This transcription was very demanding of my skills, having countless left hand jumps and right hand octaves. I am somewhat satisfied with my pedaling, but I do think I have a lot to work on.
Also need to work on my left hand jumps as usual (keep missing the lowest/5th finger note). There was a small pause towards the end of the piece in which I am aware of, but as this was the most decent take out of 100+ takes (before my battery ran out), I am happy with this cover.
Last of all, I would like to dedicate this video to BaddyDan89, who is going through a tough situation as of the time this video was uploaded. I sincerely wish you and Joy all the best and hope you two continue creating beautiful transcriptions and making beautiful music as always.
The first lines of this song, "Hitori janai", you are not alone, you have the anime piano community, "Bokura tsunagatteru kara", we are all connected through our music we make. Always remember this, everyone is there for you!

Here's perhaps one of the most popular covers of 2012 by TehIshter (I'm 2 years late), and this was quite a challenging piece for me, due to how I only have around 4-5 months of Piano experience. Because of this, my tempo and pedalling are whack off, and I made a few errors, but overall, I enjoyed the challenge of learning this cover!
I attempted to replicate TehIshter's different ending (aka the TV size ending) when he performed this at Animethon, so I apologise if the notes weren't correct (I can't play by ear yet), and I ended it with my own arpeggio run ~ (inspired by EgOistHiuman's 'No Game No Life - This Game' transcription, and Kyle Landry's Crossing Field ending.)

Despite its flaws and imperfections (especially the second half), overall it was an enjoyable anime, and I would recommended it for those who have an interest in gaming or action/adventure stories, and those who don't mind the flaws of this anime.
Yet another non-anime post, but nonetheless, a very beautiful and famous piece. When I first heard this piece, I initially thought that I should attempt this when I have at least one year of Piano experience. However, due to the pure beauty of the song, I decided to learn it anyway. Surprisingly, it was quite simpler than I had thought. A simple yet beautiful song.
However, in this cover, I couldn't play triplets and grace notes yet, as my technical skills aren't up to that level yet. Also, the timing and dynamics matter a lot in this cover, and I think my cover is far from perfect.

Although this is a non-anime post, this is actually a very simple piece that I learned years ago before I had an actual Piano. During that time, I only had a Casio 61-key Keyboard with no pedals at all, which made me wonder why I wasn't able to achieve the sustained and dynamic sound that was heard in every Piano performance. I learned this piece through his visual tutorial, as I had no Piano knowledge back then, in mid 2012. Although December 2013 was when I officially started Piano, it was mid 2012 when I had my first contact with a keyboard instrument.
Regardless, I hope you enjoy this simple arrangement! This has come to show me how much I've improved ever since taking Piano seriously.
As this is a non-anime post, I'd like to direct this towards fans of Minecraft or Ricky Murray's creations. A hilarious collection of short videos made by Ricky Murray about the daily quirks encountered in Minecraft, it is a must-watch for the fans.

I was inspired by many of the amazing anime pianists, such as Tehishter, Animenz, EgOistHiuman, ZackyAnimePiano, BaddyDan89, Pianohero87, KimPianime, Narutimate77 and many more, to perform Japanese music. I'm also an avid anime fan, and I've studied Japanese for about 2 years and counting.
Since I've just started off, I can not transcribe or play by ear yet. However, I've self-studied a decent amount of theory, and hope for it to be useful for when I perform pieces. For now, I will perform sheets made by other pianists to improve on my skills. I welcome any constructive criticism or advice on my Piano playing, as I believe it will help me improve my skills. So far, my main weaknesses are timing (tempo), pedalling and dynamics.
This is one of my first piano pieces I've learned, alongside with Dango Daikazoku, which will be uploaded next. It took me a lot of effort to learn this song to a decent level, and I thank BaddyDan for making a simple yet amazing transcription like this.
Thank you for watching, and I hope you enjoy the performance of a fresh new pianist. There will certainly be mistakes, as I've only just started off as a Pianist, but I will strive to improve~

Title: White Album 2 Airdate/Season: October 2013 (Fall 2013)
This is perhaps one of the most well executed visual novel adaptations of the romance genre I've ever seen. It has well crafted character development, plot, setting, and especially the soundtrack. In fact, this is the anime that inspired me to go ahead and start Piano.
White Album 2 is definitely an modern anime I'd recommend to those who favor romance.
