First Purito...Now Krave! Can We Trust ANY Sunscreen?! Chemists Thoughts Angie Burgs 2021-05-06 | Today we will be talking about the recent issue with Korea-based sunscreen brands that ended in a lot of brands pulling their sunscreens off the market. The advertised SPF rating from brands such as Krave Beet the Sun and Purito Centella sunscreen, were significantly higher than the true SPF value. This was discovered because an individual sent the purito sunscreen out for testing from 3 independent labs and all results were lower than the advertised SPF. So now many Korean Sunscreen Brands have pulled their sunscreens from the market after finding out the result told to them by the manufacturer was lower than they were originally told.
