Wowie, I am back once again. Took me another half year LOL. 😂 Melee is fucking awesome. I remember seeing this guy for the first time when I was a little kid and I shat my pants. I also had no idea how to beat event match 51 (cause I sucked lol), but then I found out about the Jigglypuff trick and gg ez. Hahahaha! My brother and I still play Melee occasionally cause I'm pretty interested in the whole competitive scene. I'm not a complete scrub anymore, but I entered a few tournaments in the Netherlands before the lockdown, and pretty much got my ass handed to me lol. 😂😂😂 So I am still practising to get better! If anyone wants to play Slippi Melee online, just add me on Discord! Dethraxx#8026
I tried something with some disco lights I had lying around to make the video a bit less tame. Seems to fit with the Final Destination/Giga Bowser stage. :D I hope xd Also used a few more new instruments this time, plus I am getting better at the violin and cello, so expect better parts for them in the future!
There are lots of other covers/medleys which I've ALMOST finished, but I just don't find them good enough to upload on this channel. (Mario & Luigi Medley Remake, Zant Remake, Super Paper Mario Medley, etc). Metalfortress and I are also working on a very cool project together. I promise I will do my best to upload them sooner or later. Have a good one all!

The FINAL Engage cover on this channel! I've released the album 2 weeks ago, I hope everybody is enjoying it!
Anyway, I still wanted to do a video for this banger of a song, especially since my good friend @MetalFortress14 helped me out on this one. He made a banger dubstep part and played the epic guitar leads in the song. Thanks brother :)
Man, this song was again, completely insane from a soundscape/composition/arrangement p.o.v. That ending part with the fking arps that don't repeat was completely insane lol. Welp, I managed to grind it out... Lol. Hope you guys enjoy this final Engage video!
If anybody is interested in getting the physical CD of the album, there is a link in the description!
Don't worry! This isn't the end for Fire Emblem on the channel, next up we're going to tackle some Three Houses again! Seeya then!
YOOO, Happy 11th Youtube anniversary for myself xD! Back after a (Sort of) break! I released my Fire Emblem Engage Tribute Album last week, so there was no video. But today I am back with an epic banger from Final Fantasy XVI!
Man this song is absolutely insane. I tried to play the fast tremolo parts on the violin and thankfully I've gotten a lot better so it went okay? Haha.
The full lyrics of the song aren't released yet, so I couldn't sing/chant everything so I just used choirs. But I thought it would be fun to at least do the final part of the 'chorus' since Soken tweeted those lyrics a bit ago. Hope it sounds cool!
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy my version of this epic theme, and next week... Well I don't know yet haha! We'll see!
It took a lot of work, but here's the full Fire Emblem tribute album! What's your favorite song? Here's mine in order!
1. The Four Hounds 2. Falling Petals 3. Enforcer of Knowledge 4. Goddess in Shadow 5. Defective 6. Unshaken Royal Confidence 7. Last Engage 8. Bright, Bold Sandstorm 9. Tear Streaked 10. Bloom in the Breeze 11. Corrupted
0:00 - Intro 0:12 - Round 1 0:51 - Round 2 1:29 - Low Health 1:57 - Between Rounds 2:09 - Final Round 2:48 - Low Health 3:15 - End
YOYOYOYOYO
I am back, and this week with a song from the new Street Fighter 6! Personally I am not the biggest fighting game guy (depends on if you count Smash), but a few of my friends are big fans. I wanted to do 1 song from the new game and this one stood out the most to me!
A bit different than usual (with the more hip-hop feel to the song), so it was kinda weird trying to make a metal version for it, but I tried anyway haha!
I used a lot of Melodica in this song, cause the original uses the accordion a lot. They kinda have the same sound so... Time to let the melodica shine for once! xD~!
Hope you guys like it, next video will be something familiar again!
0:00 - Main Battle Theme 1:41 - Chance To Attack! 2:12 - Revenge!
More Zelda? Of course. This soundtrack has some insane tracks!
Anyway, this one was a VERY hard one as well. All 3 Tears of the Kingdom covers have been one of the hardest arrangements I've done on the channel so far. These Zelda composers are not messing around...
Also, my first time ever using my Sitar! I don't even have the sitar pick thingy, so I just used my finger lol. It was an easy part anyway, and it added some cool Middle-Eastern vibes to the song. So why not? 😜
Hope you guys like this one! And seeya next time with a new game on the channel! (The Fire Emblem album will DROP this month! The physical CD's part is taking a bit too much work lol)

Yoooo, Quick cover today since I was very busy last week. 😅
Anyway, I am not expecting many views on this one, but I really liked this song and it was time to do some more Octopath AND since I didn't have any time last week this short song was perfect for this today! This song sets the mood so perfectly for Vide in the beginning of the story. + It's the most evil sounding song in the game, so that's a plus too for me haha! 😆
Hopefully you all enjoy this one!
This week I am finally finishing up my Fire Emblem Engage album! Seeya then!

Since the game has been out for a about a week now, I had some more time to check out some of the songs in the soundtrack. This song definitely stood out to me, so when I heard it... It was instantly time to make a remix for it!
First of all, this is definitely the hardest song I've ever done when it comes to the arrangement. Man these modern videogames don't joke around with their soundtrack. It's super technical and really, really hard to transcribe and play. Anyway, this song featured the iconic Dragon Roost Island melody so I HAD to just do it even if it was really hard...
Also, I tend to not make covers longer than around 3 minutes, but this song was also a whopping 4.5 minutes long... -.-
Welp, used my recorder in this one. I am definitely not a good woodwind player, but since this song featured flutes heavily I tried to put some real woodwind in the song as well. :)
Next time Octopath or Tears of the Kingdom? Don't know yet... We'll see!

Welp, I wanted to do something stupid on launch day for Tears of the Kingdom and I thought... What about covering the Final Boss theme? It was time to do a speedrun again anyway, just like I did for Fire Emblem Engage, so... Here we are! 🤣🤣🤣
Man, these composers keep making the songs in their videogames harder and harder LOL. What even is this song. So many polyrhythms, weird chord structures and basically everything weird thing you can think of from a compositional view. Anyway! This makes me have a lot of fun challenging myself on creating a cool cover for this piece!
I wasn't the biggest fan of Breath of the Wild, cause I am more a fan of the traditional linear Zelda experience. However I am still really curious to see how this new game is gonna pan out! I've already seen there are dungeons and dungeon bosses in this game, so that seems like a step in the right direction for me!
Also, I didn't have much time, cause of the speedrun thing 😅, hence why I didn't play any other instruments besides (bas)guitar/keyboard... and the video was super rushed 😪
Anyway hope the peeps that don't mind getting spoiled enjoy this cover!
Seeya next time with probably more Tears of the Kingdom!

EEYYYYY, Here's the penultimate Fire Emblem Engage cover... Which is also my favourite track in the game: Falling Petals!
Holy what a song. The amount of key changes and weird chords in this song is just absolutely insane. Definitely the most musically impressive track in the game for me by far!
Also plugging again!, if ANY of you guys want a physical copy or super high-res audio files of the album when it releases, you can pledge on Patreon! Shipping cost is included! patreon.com/Dethraxx
Anyway, this song was very hard to pull off, so I really hope you guys enjoy this one!
Tears of the Kingdom is releasing friday and I am gonna be doing a few covers from that game first before I release the final song from the album! (Last Engage)
Back again with another Octopath Traveler II cover! This time: Critical Clash I! I must say, this song is a bit underrated, since I haven't seen many people remix/cover this song compared to Critical Clash II. Even though this song is way more impressive musically than then other one. So many modulations and weird key changes... Damn, this song was hard to write a cool rhythm part too without screwing up the feel of the original 😁
Anyway! I think I did it, so I am pretty happy with this one! Also for the first time ever, I played a REAL lead part on my violin! Until now I've been too scared to put my violin skills out in front of the mix, but this song had such a pronounced violin melody that I just had to try. Thankfully I've improved a lot the last year, so I think it sounds pretty okay! 😎
Also, return of the beamer! The last couple video's were all filmed the same way, so I thought it would be cool to take this one out of the closet again and have that big swine reflected on me LOL.
Hope you guys like it! Next two vids will be the final 2 songs from my Fire Emblem Engage Tribute Album, stay tuned! And definitely more Octopath Traveler II after that!!
Yooooooooooo, So uhh, I asked you guys in a poll which 2 songs you wanted to complete the tribute album... But it was constantly basically a tie between Unshaken Royal Confidence and Falling Petals, so I thought: What the heck, let's just do both. HAHA. Of course Last Engage will be done too, but I think it's fitting if I do that one last!
Also, if you ANY of you guys want a physical copy or super high-res audio files of the album when it releases, you can pledge on Patreon! Album pressing is pretty expensive, so at least 10 people need to sign up for it for me to go through with it cause I'll make a giant loss otherwise LOL. patreon.com/Dethraxx
Anyways, Unshaken Royal Confidence! One of my favourite songs from the game. I challenged myself by playing all the super fast strings arpeggios on the guitar. But MAN that shit was hard to play clean. Thankfully I managed to do it!! I'm really happy how the chorus is sounding, so I hope all of you can enjoy that! Didn't spend much time on filming and video editing cause I wanted to upload it on Youtube :)
Yo yo yo, I am back with Fire Emblem Engage! I'm nearing the completion of my tribute album for this great game, and this one was the MOST requested! Initially I actually hadn't planned on remixing this one, but since it got requested so much, I couldn't bring myself to not do it. 😆
Anyway, man... This song was HARD. I think this was the hardest song I've done in a while. It's mostly because there are so many random sounds and no real discernible melody which I can translate well to guitar...
I've really started to appreciate this soundtrack a lot more than at the beginning. From a composition/sound design aspect it's 10/10. Too bad people generally like the recognisable simple songs more haha. Nothing wrong with that, but these bangers get overlooked...
I wanted to play that tremolo part on my violin, but it was harder than expected and I had 0 time to practise it. So I just did it on the guitar. :/
Welp,
I don't know yet what I will upload next week. We'll see! Hope you guys like it and only 2 Engage covers before I release the album!
Yooo!! It took me a while longer to upload this time, but I'm back with a huge one!!!
First of all I want to thank all of the amazing musicians that complete our 8 traveler/musician squad!! - Christian Correa for providing the epicest of EPIC opera vocals for this one! - My brother for always just going along with whatever I'm doing when I need drums for something HAHA. - Isaac Newtech (My Violin Teacher) for playing the hard parts while having a very busy schedule 😆 - CeLilly for providing AMAZING choir to glue the whole thing together on such short notice 🤩 - My Youtube buddy since the OG days Metal Fortress for doing the effects (Launchpad) and playing guitar! - Jack Harvey for also finding the time in his busy uni grind to find time to record some lead guitar 😁 - And my colleague Bob v/d Elshout for grinding the solo and doing a shred battle with me!
This song was such a huge task to take on, but it was such an immense banger that I just HAD to do a cover for this. This is definitely the biggest thing I've ever done, so I really hope all of you enjoy this one!
Also don't expect covers of this caliber on the regular lol, this was really taxing so next time I'm back to doing classic Dethraxx covers haha!
YOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am back with some more Fire Emblem Engage! I'm finishing up my Fire Emblem Engage album and this one was requested quite a lot of times, so I could not just omit this one from the collection. 😜
Last week I've been in bed with a cold, so this video was a bit later than planned, cause I couldn't do the choirs good enough. (I kept coughing in the middle of each take and it frustrated me too much lol). Anyway! I had fun doing the choirs, I also wanted to do them in the start of the song, but those were a bit too hard for me by myself, so I just recreated them.
Welp 1 more track to finish up my Fire Emblem Engage tribute album! Hope you are all excited for it!
YOOOO, I'm back with another Octopath Traveler II cover! "Fierce Confrontation", this is my favourite track from the game after listening to basically all of the soundtrack. It's just so fking epic man!
Anyway, this time I asked my brother to provide ACOUSTIC drums for the first time ever on this channel! Man it was a challenge mixing this, definitely not used to the dynamic sound of acoustic drums. But!!!! I'm definitely gonna do this more to get some more practise in with mixing live drums. :D
I also asked 3 friends of mine if they wanted to do some of the guitar leads for this song, and it's great having them on here! Thanks dudes, it sounded awesome. Check 'em out! Joris Pabor: instagram.com/mr_koel Jack Harvey: @JackVGM Metal Fortress : @MetalFortress14 Bob v/d Elshout : https://www.bobvandenelshout.nl/
Anyway, definitely some more Octopath soon, but next cover will be from Fire Emblem Engage again!

I put the wrong audio file under the video lol. There was still a huge EQ on the master which was only used for transcribing LOL.
---- So uh, since everybody and their mother is covering Octopath Traveler II I thought I'd join in on the fun haha!
I've never played this series (sad I know), but I always really liked the music, so I immediately listened to the OST when it came out and found a couple of my favourites that I would like to cover!
Critical Clash II was one of my favourites, so I went all out in the arrangement/instrument department for this one! A lot of people are already covering this song, so I tried to make it unique by changing the key and playing as many real instruments as I could. The ones I can't play/don't have I just played with the keyboard. I also finally used my Upright Piano!! In my daily life I am a music teacher and I still study classical piano in my free time and this is the piano I practise on. (Follow @PeterPabor if you want, I am gonna upload some more classical pieces there) It was finally time to use it for real in a Dethraxx production!
Yeah, video filming was rushed really badly, cause I spent too much time on the arrangement HAHA. Making these huge covers in only 5 days takes so much time and I have to plan everything out while balancing other life stuff. xD Hopefully it's still enjoyable!
Anyway, definitely some more Octopath Traveler II in the near future! And probably some more Fire Emblem Engage as well! Hope you guys stay tuned!
So, since the remake of Kirby's Return to Dreamland has just released I decided it was time for some Kirby! My buddy @JackVGM recommended me this song and I vaguely heard it before while playing Smash, but never heard the original from Kirby Super Star. And uhh... upon closer listening, WTF is the time signature here LOL. 🥴
I thought I could make this one pretty fast and then have more time to focus on the Octopath Traveler II song that I wanna do, but uh yeah... I had to use all the time I had for this one. 😂 This was actually challenging as hell to arrange.
Also shoutouts to @MetalFortress14 for playing some accordeon on here and my brother @geertkaas9608 (who is an amazing drummer) for helping me create some more unique sick fills for this cover.
I'm pretty happy where my 'template' mix is sitting, so the schedule of uploading once per 5 days should be possible to uphold. Having a schedule gives me the necessary discipline to actually finish and upload stuff. Otherwise I keep procrastinating and tweeking everything until it's perfect (which it almost never is lol). 😜
Cool Kirby Café shirt right? xD If you guys ever visit Japan, you gotta check it out. :)

Well, here's the final Fire Emblem Engage cover!! Damn, I managed to do 6 of 'em within a month. Kind of proud of myself actually. 😎
Welp, doing a cover per 5 days is a lot of work and I especially noticed it while working on this one... So many parts and I really want to do the original BGM justice. Can't really take shortcuts and omit some awesome melodies and sounds from the original. But I think it turned out well!
Anyway, setting a deadline really helped me get over the pressure of having everything 100% perfect. However it's giving me new stress of actually making the deadline 🤣🤣🤣
Next up will be some Kirby and Octopath Traveler 2! Oh yeah, and my 100th cover is approaching on this channel... Time to remake my VERY first cover ever, and nope. That isn't the one on this channel... (I already remade that one for my 10 year anniversary. :D)
Back AGAIN with another FE Engage cover! This is the penultimate one and then I will just release a small collection/album with all the songs I've done for the game. :D
I generally don't do songs this short while picking a piece to remix, but this one was requested by Nin Jago and this song was definitely pretty cool while playing the game. So I decided: "fk it, let's just do it xD". Hope you like it dude!
It's the shortest cover I've done in a while, and quite some stuff is a bit rushed cause I had almost 0 time, and I DO want to keep up this schedule of uploading every 5 days. Since well, I've neglected uploading for so long LOL. I'm gonna touch up this cover a bit more before uploading it on streaming services. :)
And uhhh, this song sounds way too much like the Gigachad anthem lol.
Anyway, next time Goddess in Shadow and then it's time for some Kirby/Octopath Traveler 2! Greetz!
Okay, so yeah... One more Fire Emblem Engage track haha! I really really like this soundtrack, so I love doing covers for them. But I promise I will upload some other stuff this month as well!
Anyway, Holy shit. Some people requested this song from me and at first I was a bit sceptic if I was even able to adapt this into a fitting Rock/Metal arrangement. But then I decided to just make it as heavy as possible and that always works. xD
Recreating the EDM parts was quite a bit of a challenge, since it's a little bit out of my comfort zone. Thankfully I've recently been doing a lot more with Sound Design and Electronic Music Production, so it actually went kind of smoothly. Finished this cover in only 3 days. 🤣 I used Serum for all the sounds, which I really recommend to people! I luckily found the original sample of the weird Arabic like vocals in this track, so I didn't have to omit them. Would've sounded terrible without them. 🤩
No other instruments besides guitar and some keys in this one. Couldn't really find a spot for them. Except for the GLOCKENSPIEL of course! I have to ALWAYS include it. :)
This is definitely the heaviest production (VGM or non-VGM related) I've ever done. So I hope people will still like it... 😅 I'm really proud of this arrangement!
Well, Seeya next time! :D
⭐ Difficulty: ★★★☆☆ (A bit difficult cause of EDM sound recreation) 🤩 Self Reflection: ★★★★★ --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm getting the hang of uploading weekly (at least biweekly!) so I am back with yet another FE: Engage remix! I've really been liking the soundtrack, and now I know why. Same lead composer as the old Paper Mario games :)
Anyway, I think this is or at least one of my favourite tracks in the game. It's just so epic man wtf. First time I heard it, I KNEW I had to make a remix of this. Even though the theme belongs to 2 of my LEAST favourite characters in the game. Like, wtf Hortensia wear some armor on the battlefield instead of your clown costume. 😆
Boss battle themes generally are more in my ballpark cause I like and excel at doing really high-energy remixes. With boss battle themes they are usually already super chaotic, and I can make them even worse in that department. 😂
Anyway, I think this will be all the FE: Engage covers for now. Maybe 1 more if I can find another good song to do, and otherwise I will just do a cover from the backlog of requests.
As always, all my covers are available on most streaming services. So if you want to support, stream them a couple times! :D Hope you guys like it and seeya next time!
(There was a small error with the chords in the hype part at 1:00, it's fixed on the streaming releases!! (Spotify/Soundcloud/Apple Music/etc)
Yo I'm back again with another Fire Emblem Engage remix! It's been a while since I did a cover of the same game in a row, but since the game just released and I really like the soundtrack so far, I decided to just do another one. :D
I had some more time to take care of the arrangement than the last one (which I finished ON release day lol), so I had the time to put in some cooler stuff than Blooming in the Breeze. Added a lot of percussion mainly (Finally got to use my bongo's on this channel xD). Again, really hard to mix such a big symphonic arrangement, especially with the limited time I'm forcing myself to have. But that's part of the challenge!
Also we have a feature in this video! Kascade also participated in my older Fódlan Winds cover, so I asked him if he wanted to play some leads again for a song from the new Fire Emblem. He said yes of course, so here we are! He also helped with transcribing some parts of the orchestra since these tracks are an immense amount of work lol.
I've also been playing the game for a bit, and since I am a veteran Fire Emblem player, it's hard for me to get used to the new artstyle and writing. But I do really like the gameplay in this game, more than in Three Houses / Fates / Awakening. I'm streaming this game on Twitch, so if you want to pop in and laugh at my FE skills or just laugh at me anyway, come join! :)
I really like this song, so I hope we did it justice. I'm probably gonna do 1 more Fire Emblem Engage song and then it's back to the Retro games. (Cause those are the best :D)
This is the first time in a long time since I've did a speedrun on a cover. This game released today, and I wanted to challenge myself to upload a cover on release day! Man I'm tired now lol. The song I decided to tackle was Bloom in the Breeze! This plays during the battle maps in Firene in the game.
Anyway, this took me literally 24 straight hours to finish... transcribing the whole song (it's pretty difficult lol), then arranging the orchestra, then recording my instruments, mixing and mastering the thing and then fking filming and editing the video... OMG. This was some insane work. Well, I did it. There are probably some errors in the song/video, but I really tried my best! Man what a long day, now let's actually start playing the game 😎
I will be streaming my first playthrough of this game on Twitch! I will immediately do a Maddening/Lunatic Ironman. I'm confident in my FE skills. :D
Seeya next time guys!

First of all (A bit late): Happy New Year! I wish everyone the best wishes and a great 2023.
Before there was Doki Doki Literature Club, FNAF and all the 'modern' indie horror games, there was Corpse Party.🎊 Man this game still freaks me out to this day. A lot more than the new popular horror games. Back in the day I watched a playthrough from Pewdiepie and I got intrigued to play the game myself, since there aren't any cheap jumpscares in the game. That kinda things makes me not want to play a game instantly. Corpse Party's horror is just pure in the atmosphere.
When I went on vacation I downloaded the game for my PSP and played it in my futon when everybody was asleep. I got until the part where the Black Mist chases you (1:27) and I had to turn the game off cause I was getting too much anxiety. 😂
Man this was hard af too mix, still not completely happy with it, but whatever. I need to learn to just upload stuff quicker and not try to make everything perfect. So that's a nice goal for this year! This was also supposed to be a cover during Halloween last year, together with the FNAF one. But I didn't have time to finish it. So here it is as the first cover of 2023! The next couple one's will be classics again which got requested a lot of times throughout the years.
My goal for 2023 is to upload 24 video's (So 2 per month) on this channel! Let's see if I can do it! Greetz!

Since I missed Halloween (What a noob I know), here's a scary cover for Christmas!
Five Nights at Freddy's... What to say? Still hugely popular and for some reason really popular with kids nowadays. I have a piano student, an 8 year old kid who knows ALL the lore. And keeps talking in the lessons about how Purple Guy murdered all those kids and that the spirits want revenge and that Glitchtrap is not actually Springtrap and... etc. I basically learned all the lore from him lol.
I still find the original 6 games creepy as hell. Those jumpscares always used to scare me when I was younger, but I enjoyed watching reactions to the game so I always looked at the comment section for the jumpscare timestamps LOL. Nowadays, I'm not really that fazed anymore by the jumpscares thankfully. I jump a little bit and that's it.
Anyway, this song was always one I really liked. It's not an official song for FNAF, but basically everyone thinks so anyways. I decided to cover this song for Halloween cause the kid reminded me about this banger song, and I felt like singing in a cover for a change since I never really get to do that for VGM stuff. 🤣
Also went a bit ham with the video. I promised myself I would do a music video style cover this year. Hopefully it feels a bit more professional, but it still feels made in my bedroom/home studio 😂 Sometimes the camera's out of focus, and some other stuff is done under rush. So hopefully it's okay! Also, it was cold af outside filming those shots. Especially the ending scene lol. (And yeah the costume is ugly af, but it was cheap and it made the video funny so ehh. I'll take it :P)
Anyway, hope you like it! 2 more covers this year if everything works out! Need to get 12!
Greetz NOOBS!

Yo! I am back once again! And this time a cover from a modern game for a change. :D I normally don't really do current/hype stuff to cover, however this song was such a banger, I had to just immediately tackle it. ~~ :D Turns out, Toby Fox composed this song. I already thought it sounded a bit like Battle Against a True Hero mixed with ASGORE. So it made sense he composed this track.
I haven't played either Scarlet or Violet yet, cause, well, I am just gonna be honest: The game looks like a PS2 game. 🤣 The music however is a completely different beast and it's actually really good imo. The Pokémon formula has also grown a little bit stale for me, so this game is probably just not really my cup of tea. However, I find this song THAT good, to justify making a cover for it. xD
Anyway, I promised myself I would upload 12 covers this year on this account. The thing is, this is only my 9th one and it's already december lol. The coming month is gonna be pretty busy for me, I have to assist some music students with their performances, some other projects and you know... Work and holiday stuff with friends and family. xD BUT THAT'S NOOB MENTALITY. I am gonna grind really hard this month to finish those final 3! PEACE NOOBS!

It's my birthday today! Turned 25... Damn I'm old haha! Here's a small extra video, the full piano part from the Cynthia cover which I did a while back. The ending got cut off in that video, so here's the whole thing. 😉 Also I made the sheet music for this piece as well, there's a link in the description to Musescore if you want to check it out! 😎
I am going on vacation in 2 days, and unfortunately there's no time for me to finish anything else. I'll be back in November! Greetz!

Yo, I am back! This time with a song from Mario Kart Wii. Originally I was gonna upload the Superstar Saga medley, but it's taking a little bit longer. So it was time for another request by a friend of mine some time ago. Coconut Mall! Turning this track into a metal one is strange, cause the song has such a comedic atmosphere. I tried to just keep all the original fun stuff in, like the Xylophones and Steel Drums (Yes, I finally got the chance to use my Steel Drum in a cover, let's go!!) and then support it with background Metal basically.
The return of the Saxophone lol. This time it was a one-taker, unlike last time. I suck at that instrument, so I was pretty proud of that LOL. And a Melodica solo, which was very hard to fit in cause my Melodica is out of tune... . I had to pitch it up a few cents in Cubase, and I still wasn't 100% happy, but oh well. No stabilizer video footage this time, didn't really feel like doing that. Takes a lot of work lol.
Also Mario Kart Wii will forever remain the best Mario Kart. Funky Kong is the GOAT.
Anyway! Hope you guys enjoy this one, and seeya all next time! It's probably gonna be a longer while since I am going on vacation next week. But I have a scheduled upload ready for when I am on vacation. :)
Greetz!

Yo! Here's the final song that was still on the to-do list for myself. Next couple covers will be requests made by long time subscribers!
Anyway, I've always really liked this track cause of the jumpscare at around 0:50. 🤣 It suddenly turns into a fking Thrash Metal track, and reminder, this game was released in 1994. That was before I was even born LOL. I tried something new with the piano roll thing, which you see quite a lot in piano tutorial video's on Youtube. Don't know if I will do this more, but it was fun to do once! And I think it turned out pretty cool! While practising the transcription I made, I realised those super fast double notes were draining af. I had to practise quite a bit before actually being able to play it comfortably. 😅 And the Metal part is just straight up Metal. No gimmicks, which I do regularly hahaha. Hope you guys enjoy it! Next time will be something from Superstar Saga, requested by a long time viewer! Seeya NERDS
Yo, I am back! Took me a bit longer this time, but it was vacation here, so I decided to just work on other stuff and laze around a bit. 😜
Anyway, I always wanted to do a cover from Super Mario World. 8 years ago I was working on a medley, but my guitar skills just weren't up to the task for this insane song. I'm proud that everything in this arrangement was played by me! I also tried to just do the choirs myself which I normally use for the background. And since I'm getting better on the Cello and Violin, I can do string parts pretty easily now for the background. I truly await the day when I'm good enough with the Violin so I can do lead parts! 😎
Also, I asked my cousin to film a couple shots since I got a new stabilizer! The old one SUCKED ASS. Never buy anything from DJI, absolute horsesh*t company. Maybe I will start doing more this way, but it's quite a lot of work to set up, so I'll probably just keep the still video :D
I tried to make this one SUPER bass heavy, so hopefully it turned out good! Still practising to get better, but I'm getting more confident again with putting stuff out there on this channel.
Seeya all next time!

Yo! Well, this time I didn't make the weekly cover, but at least biweekly? XD It's hard doing this so fast after the last cover, since I'm stressing out about not having enough time to fine-tune the mix and different sounds etc. 😳 But whatever! I need to force myself to upload, so here we are! 😂
Anyway, Super Monkey Ball 2! Not a very popular game, although it definitely does have its cult following. I'm a very big fan of the original 2 games, I even speedran a romhack of Super Monkey Ball 2 some time ago. So... Go play it if you haven't! 😎
The music in these games have almost never been covered in the Youtube landscape and so I always wanted to at least do 1 cover from the franchise. This song seems to be one of the favourites, so I decided to do this one! It's pretty hard to transfer the electro-ambience sound into a rock/metal arrangement (Especially the mix wtf), but I think it worked out okay! Even pulled out the harp for a small part!
I am especially proud of the solo in this cover, I really feel like it fit the song to a tea. :D
Well, hope you guys like it and seeya next time!

I DID IT! I MADE A WEEKLY COVER AFTER 8 YEARS!! LET'S GOOOOOO XD Oh my fucking god. The encounter theme is a nightmare on the piano. I practised this in the 3 weeks that my pc was absent and I thought I could play it good enough for a recording. Boy was I wrong. It was my first time recording a grand piano as amazing as a Steinway (shoutout to the owner for letting me play and record it!) and the mics really capture every single bad note you play. In the end I had to practise some more on the Steinway to finally get the recording you see in the video. It's not 100% flawless, but I really wanted to play it in the original tempo, since most of the covers on Youtube are slowed down or play a different arrangement. And yeah, the Steinway really does play different than any other piano/keyboard I have played on 'till now. And naturally it also sounds freaking incredible!
Anyway, after the piano part was done, I challenged myself to play the same parts on the guitar... Which was no easy task either LOL. However, thankfully in the end it was a lot easier to get it right on the guitar compared to the piano. No room in the rest of the arrangement for other instruments, except for the Glockenspiel of course, cause that's the coolest instrument ever. (PS. I NEED TO DUST OFF THAT THING LOL)
Anyway, hope you all enjoy this one! I put a LOT of work into it. (Mainly the piano part xD) Seeya! Oh yeah, follow me on Twitter for AMAZING posts or join my Discord if you just wanna chill.

Yo people! I'm finally back again, and it's a special occasion today cause this is Dethraxx's 10 year anniversary! 🥳 I thought it would only be fitting to recover my very first cover on this channel and show how much I've improved during these 10 years.
First off, I made a Discord server where you can download all of my stuff for free, ask questions, share music or just call me a noob, everything's okay! :D Check it out! discord.gg/VJyWfRhU
Anyway, Mr. Patch from Banjo Tooie! I always thought the bosses in Banjo Tooie were pretty lackluster. (Old King Coal wtf?) Same with Mr. Patch, however the theme is an actual banger!
I never really used the Melodica much in anything I made (VGM or non VGM stuff), but in this one I decided to use it throughout almost the whole song to take care of the upbeat swing. It was pretty difficult to mix it into the metal guitars, but I think it worked out OK! I got a Theremin last week and coincidentally there's actually a part in the original song which uses it, so I had to use it in the cover of course! Hard as shit to play like almost any new instrument, but thankfully when you're recording you can try 1000 times! 😂 Also used the Xylophone for the first time (Not really cause of scrapped covers) and that 1 fast part is so INSANELY hard, and I didn't even bother with the arpeggio. I just recorded the 1/8th and 2/8th notes separately. (I know cheat, but whatever xD)
And yeah... I went a bit crazy with this one, there's a fking hardstyle part in there hahahaha. I really enjoy all sort of EDM genres (Dubstep, Hardstyle, Breakcore, etc), but I've never really done anything with. Since it's this channel's 10 year anniversary, I thought: "What the heck, let's just go crazy and try to put some Hardstyle in here." 😂 Shoutout to my mate Metal Fortress for always answering questions about EDM music. He's a pro.
Somehow I created this cover in 5 days. That's not something that usually happens. Normally it takes a lot longer. So if I for some reason can get this consistent, I might upload a lot more frequently!
Oh yeah, and the Steinway Cynthia Piano cover is coming soon! Peace out noobs!

Yo people! An extra cover today! The Steinway piano cover is postponed to next week. Anyhow, this time I am back for real! Sorry for last week with that anime cringe cover. 😂 Today I have done a song from one of my favourite video games of all time. Donkey Kong 64! A lot of people nowadays voice their hatred of this game online, but I don't give a shit, it's still one of my favourite games! :D
This song: Mad Jack, was requested by 14kevinnivek41 almost 8 years ago... Well! I managed to finally get it done! HAHAHA Hope you like it man! 😂
Anyway, this was originally made for a huge medley Metal Fortress and I are gonna do, but that's been delayed a bit and we both agreed I should just put this one up online. :) I really tried to go all out on this one... Even used my Saxophone & Clarinet for the first time in a cover LOL. I still suck balls in the Saxophone however, so I had to splice 3 Saxophone takes together in the final recording. (Forgive me) However! My violin skills have become decent enough that I can just play most of the easy parts pretty well! Still layering the heck out of it with multiple takes, but whatever xD! Still no vibrato, I am gonna try to learn that this year. It's also good to see me play an actual part on video for once, so I can watch what I do wrong. (Longer strokes dude come on... and keep your bow straight LOL) When I become better at all those classical instruments, I want to try an acoustic cover in the future. Metal kinda obscures my mediocre/shitty playing XDDD
Well, hope you like it! Next time I will be back with one of the hardest songs I have done...

(I remixed/remastered this cover for the Spotify/Itunes release. I made this production originally in 2 days lol, so check it out if you want! :D) April Fools noobs! No videogame cover! xD Anyway, I am back finally! This time not with a regular video game cover, but a cover from Attack on Titan! If there are still any OG's here, you might remember my very old upload of the very first opening of Attack on Titan when the series first came out. Since the series final episode is sunday (ahem), I thought it would be nice to make a cover of the final OP! The Rumbling.
But now... Why the fuck in Dutch?! Well, it all started as a joke by good friends of mine who joked about me making an Unravel (Tokyo Ghoul Opening) Dutch cover. I did that as a meme on a random channel of mine and since then it's become a sort of tradition to make 1 stupid Dutch cover per year. However, I like this song a lot, and since Attack on Titan is pretty popular, I thought it was perfect for a 1st of april joke on here! I made this really fast to make the 1st of April deadline. So hopefully everything sounds okay. xD I hope you guys like it! Anyway I promise I'll be back VERY quickly with another COOL videogame cover.
See ya then! And good luck cringing at how stupid Dutch sounds! xD

Yo, I am back! Seems I am getting consistent with uploading once a half year at the moment. 😂 I'm really trying to make the downtime less, but getting back into this is pretty hard xD
Anyway, finally a song from Super Paper Mario again! I did a medley of this game a long time ago, and this song was featured there. However that medley hasn't really aged that well, so I decided to re-do this song, cause it's one of my favourites! (And everybody does The Ultimate Show, so I had to pick something different haha)
Not much room in this song to include a lot of different instruments or a dynamic arrangement, So I just decided to make it Metal, and pure Metal only. 😎 However; there was still room for a small Cello part in the beginning and some Violin. I got good enough to not have to layer the Cello anymore, however for those super high Violin notes I still had to layer it.
Anyway, in my opinion Super Paper Mario is the final good Paper Mario game. I really don't like the three that came after it. Paper Mario is basically dead in my eyes atm. 😂 Thankfully there is a dedicated romhacking community that cooks up some cool Paper Mario 64 romhacks now and then. My brother and I played "The Black Pit" and it's pretty awesome!
Anyway, see ya guys soon!

Only took me 6 months this time to upload! Next time 3 months? :)
About time I uploaded this one. It's been 'finished' for almost a year, but I never felt like actually putting the final touches on the thing. I've been working with a other people on bringing this great game to the old Gameboy Advance for almost a year already. It was great to have Kascade participate in this cover. (He helps with the GBA game) If you're interested in GBA Fire Emblem, you can check out my other channel where I upload GBA gameplay/remixes of FE: Three Houses. Only if you want. xD
A couple of new instruments I used in this one. Never used the Cello & Ocarina before. And also the first time in a long while since I've used the Violin for a cover. I still suck major ass at bowed string instruments, but I really want to incorporate them into my arrangements. So, I'm gonna keep practising!
Anyway hope you all enjoy, bye bye 😘

Undertale is one of my favourite games ever made, although I was really late to the party for some reason. Always thought it was a bad meme game hyped up for no reason. Well I was wrong af. I only started a play-through of it last year and I really regretted waiting so long. So when Deltarune (ch. 1) came along, I immediately played it. :P After listening to this song again the past week, I just decided fuck it, I'ma make a cover for this. :P

The problem I had was that I couldn't finish any covers anymore. All the time I kept thinking: "Nah, this sucks" & that just kept going for a long time. Eventually I just started having a lot more responsibilities in life as well, so I didn't have any time to work on a cover for this channel anymore.
But now! I finally just decided, fuck it, in october I will finally upload a new cover, even if I don't like it. So here it is. :)
About the game, well, it's fucking hype. Anyone keeping up with the leaks and stuff? Who's onboard the grinch leak & who isn't? I'm onboard. ;)
I will try to upload 1 cover a month, but I think most of them will be remakes of my older covers first.
Everything I used for this cover (and upcoming covers) will be put in the description. So if you're interested in what kind of shitty soft- & hardware I'm using, it's all there.
Till the next one! Hope not after 3 years this time. xD

OMGOMGOMGOMG. Finally here is the cover! ^_______^
So yeah it has been 8 months already. Hope I haven't slacked off and turned to shit. xD I do need some time to get the old Dethraxx ways again so don't judge me too hard on that. ^.^
Welp, Super Smash Bros Melee holds a dear place in my heart, :'). When I was like really small we had tons of games and I could play all of them (Nintendo games). Except for Super Smash Bros Melee, cause my father thought it was too violent. So whenever he said, you can play it, but only for an hour. I was happy. lol xD. MELEE IS THE BEST SMASH BROS! ^_________^
The competitive scene is also really enjoyable to take a look at if you guys haven't done that yet.
More covers will be coming soon (Expect to be 3 weeks to a month per cover, if I am in the mood it can be faster)
So anyway PEACE OUT.

Anyway, since I've been watching a lot of anime as well lately I made a second channel where I did upload some shit the last couple of months, but that doesn't excuse me not uploading. SO! I will be uploading at least 1 cover a month from now on. I'm trying to make them the best I can, so I won't be able to finish them so quickly and go back to my old schedule of 1 cover per week. I hope not too many of ya peeps have left me, so I'm looking forward to make some covers again that'll at least make you guys think. 'Hmm.. Pretty cool.'

Jo guys! I'm back! Sorry it again took quite a while, but we had family over for a week and we almost never get to see them so that was nice, but also not nice cause no covers :( :)
Anyway! This was requested Nintega Dario (The Slide theme) and since I was planning on doing this song anyway here it is! :D I also decided to throw in a little snipet of Bob-Omb Battlefield cause I'm not gonna cover anything from Super Mario 64 for a while, but I do enjoy that song so yeah :P
When I was little it always took me a while in my playthroughs to beat that stupid Penguin. Don't know what it was, but I found that part of the game so frikken hard. But everytime I beat him I felt good! Even though this race wasn't nearly as hard as that stupid race in Donkey Kong 64 with Lanky Kong vs that Giant annoying fucking Beetle, this was still really challenging and fun. :D
Hope you guys all like it and anyone else here excited for the new Super Smash Bros? Cause I myself, sure am! :)

What's up ya'll. So this song has been requested quite a lot of times, but I kept putting it of just because of the fact that it has been covered SOO MANY times. But oh well, I decided to just do it anyway. :D:D:D
So I've been experimenting a bit with my rhythm guitar tone the last couple of weeks and I tried a new tone in this cover. I tried to make it more Meshuggah-like. Djenty stuff. ;) Hope that's okay with you all.
Basically that's all so uhm. Hope you guys like it and seeya next time :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

YO So for my second to last cover of my 2nd year on youtube! I present you another collab with my good buddy Metalfortress! (Karim) This is my 4th collab already with him XD, anyway it never gets old cause hes just an amazing musician. :D
And OMG, Dat fking solo was so hard! 1:28, hardest thing Ive ever covered same goes for MetalFortress, even though it worked out after 1000 tries. :D But as for why Gloomy Galleon? The most hated level in Donkey Kong 64? Well Karim is currently playing through DK64 again and we thought it would be cool to do another DK64 song :) And we really wanted to give this level some love. We already did Angry Aztec, but this one is a whole lot better, which should be considering it has already been 1.5 years Hope you guys like this! And ofcourse check out Metalfortress if you havent! But I think you already have :).
Seeya guys next week with my last medley and cover of year 2! Peace!

Yo guys! :) First of all I want to apologize for being absent for 3 weeks, I got sick and I have watched too much anime lol. Anyway here's the third track I release on youtube for my upcoming album TLOZ: A Journey Through Time! I chose Dark Mountain Forest over Dark World cause everyone has covered Dark World by now haha. XD
This is my final month until my second year on youtube ends! Still a couple of covers to go and 1 medley. Next cover will be a collab with a longtime friend of youtube, seeya guys then! :)

Ok. So when I heard this song, I thought: 'This is awesome.' Haha. ^^ My favourite song from all of the Mario Kart series is the Rainbow Road from the n64 and I think a lot of people agree with me on that, but this song is rivaling my number 1 right now!
Not even 2 days and another cover? Yeah, the Steven/Wallace Battle theme was already finished for sometime but I wanted to make a stupid video so that got delayed a bit. Hope you guys like this one! And check this course out it's pretty epic!
Next cover will be my first Anime cover ever! :) Because a lot of people and friends requested it. ^^

First of all, I want to thank all of you for 1500 subs! :) That's also the reason why I went a little crazy on this one. I want to thank my friend Niels for helping me, it was a lot of fun haha.
Anyway since a lot of you guys have been asking for another pokemon cover here is the champion battle from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald! Steven and Wallace are both awesome champions but I feel like this theme belongs to Steven more than Wallace. But that aside hope you guys like it!

Yo guys! 'What another cover so fast?' Yep :) It's vacation here so I got lots of free time! ^^
Anyway, this is the second track of my upcoming album TLOZ: A Journey Through Time! It's the Palace Theme (Or Temple) from Zelda 2! Zelda 2 is pretty underrated if you ask me, I still find it a very good game for Nes standards, although I do agree it's not really zelda-ish. It's still an awesome game nonetheless. This theme also got reintroduced in SSBM so this is one of videogame songs that I listened to the most cause I played tons of SSBM & SSBB. I will be releasing all tracks here on youtube, next one I release will be from one of the modern zelda games! Hope you guys like it!
Btw the very fast guitar part at 0:25 was ridiculously hard and It took my like 1 whole hour for only that part haha. ^^
Next cover will be another pokemon theme! Stay tuned!

Yo guys! First of all I hope you all had a nice easter :D Anyway, I havent done a Kingdom Hearts cover in a while, I dont really understand why cause it's my favourite series from the Sony Playstation. But blablabla, a medley seemed like a good idea :D.
Sorry I wasnt moving too much while playing the lead, but I was tired and didn't want to f**k it up :D Hope you guys enjoy it!
And next cover will be one from my upcoming Zelda album! Stay tuneeddd.
