PhantomPart III. I certainly didn’t expect the last video of the “Crimson 1 vs. Mihaly” series to be the first video of 2024, but here we are. Coincidentally, today's also the birthday of this channel.
More importantly, I never imagined that it would take nearly five months to make this video. Part III has knocked Part II off the throne for the longest and biggest “vs. Mihaly” video that I have ever made. With a runtime of 16 minutes and a staggering file size of 347GB, I’m genuinely shocked that my computer did not reach the surface temperature of Prospero during “Consequence of Power”.
On another note, I do want to acknowledge that I am not a fan of rewriting/remolding the events of one game into another, but in order for the narrative of this small series to make somewhat sense, I had to do it. As a result, I did the best I could for the first four minutes of the video and proceeded to put all my effort and time into the actual gameplay, cinematography, and editing, which is where I believe the video shines. Despite my skepticism for the writing, I’m still excited for everyone to see the final installment.
P.S. There’s a little surprise waiting for you at the end. :)
Thank you to the following for their incredible work:

Each of them captures the personal and the communal aspects of what this franchise has given us. As I mentioned in the anniversary cinematic, I wanted to include the community in these videos, and I’m delighted that many of you made that happen. This is something that I’ll cherish for years as an Ace Combat fan, and I hope you do too.
P.S I have zero idea why the video's corrupted at the end, but at least it's at the end and not in between.

I’m sure you’ll know that this video was originally meant to be uploaded and shared last month. Given the elaborate nature of this video, a two-week delay isn’t nearly as bad as it sounds. In any case, I’m happy it’s ready now.
Now let’s get down to the serious stuff. Ace Combat’s 30 years old, and it’s something I’m still having a hard time believing. There aren’t enough words to say how proud I am of this community and to be a part of it. I can’t imagine how different our lives would be without this franchise and the many great things that have emerged from it. Here’s to more stories, memories, and ambitions. :)

The first Top Gun film turns 39 years old today—only a year away from hitting the big 40! At the same time, this video also commemorates the fact that in a week and a half it will be 3 years since Top Gun: Maverick released.
You might also be thinking, “Hey Phantom, didn’t you already make this video?” Not like this, I haven’t. This video is everything I could only wish the first one would’ve been, and you’re about to find out why.
As always, big thanks to @darkdizzy_, @RookFox, and @RushZ3r for assisting me in MP for this video.
Additional thanks to darkdizzy for providing subtitles!
#topgun #topgunmaverick #maverick #iceman #tomcruise #valkilmer #acecombat7 #dangerzoneHitmen | A Project Wingman CinematicPhantom2025-05-02 | Hi again!
I’m sure you’re probably wondering where the hell this cinematic came from.
Over these last few weeks, I noticed that I didn’t have many Project Wingman-related uploads apart from that stupid inverted tunnel run and the “Crimson 1 vs. Mihaly" series. So why not make a cinematic?
That being said, I cannot wait till Project Wingman gets a dedicated replay mode system or optimized free camera software support. Although I enjoyed getting some of these shots, using the Universal Unreal Unlocker in Project Wingman is probably more frustrating than recording shots in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.
Moving on to the soundtrack. Now before some of you point out that “Hitmen isn’t part of the main campaign’s soundtrack”, yes I know that. Though it's a Conquest Mode exclusive, I chose this soundtrack because it carries the right blend of heroism and tension that I usually like to search for in many action game soundtracks, especially that of Ace Combat. This track, at least in my opinion, encapsulates the scale of the war, Monarch and Sicario’s profound impact alongside the Independence Force, the Federation’s gradually capsizing influence and power over Cascadia, and the drastic measures they use to regain control. That's what I attempt to illustrate with the visuals and dialogues.
So as always, hope you enjoy the video! Let me know what you think in the comments.
MUSIC: Hitmen - Jose Pavli | Project Wingman Soundtrack (2020) youtube.com/watch?v=1ReQZ6z7qS8Locked On | An Ace Combat 7 CinematicPhantom2025-01-29 | Hiya, been a while.
As you might've read in some recent posts, I've mentioned that it's been difficult to keep track of all the videos that were still in development stages back in 2024. Since making this video, I feel that it's in my best interest to just start from scratch and work one project at a time. Quality over quantity, right?
Moving on to this, I really don't know why I thought about making this video. It's not in reference to anything in particular like most of my previous cinematics and just stands out on its own. I suppose it's just an another excuse to use the Unreal Unlocker camera and keep experimenting with new cinematography techniques which may prove useful for future cinematics or other projects. Fun fact, this is the only Ace Combat 7 cinematic of mine that doesn't feature any cutscenes or swaps.
MUSIC: The Stroke (Safari Riot Remix) | Billy Squier youtube.com/watch?v=5aZddoBIK1ADogfight | An Ace Combat Assault Horizon CinematicPhantom2024-08-22 | As much as I love making cinematics in Ace Combat 7 and cinematics otherwise, it was time to give the black sheep of Ace Combat some love. And what better soundtrack to pair it with than the legendary "Dogfight"? Though people tend to disregard this game in terms of story and the conspicuous DFM, there's no denying that it excelled in terms of cinematic conventions. In certain weather-intensive missions, I'm inclined to say that this game looks better than Ace Combat 7. It was necessary to take advantage of that in both the gameplay and replay mode.
However, the replay mode is not without issue. Ironically, there is a lack of cinematic freedom with the camera options and is highly dependent on chance when it comes to getting the right shot. Not to mention the intermittent frame skipping and in inconsistent replay save lengths. I really don't understand what's up with the latter.
Apart from that, one of the greater issues I've had with this game are the audio pops. I'm uncertain whether it's the game's problem or my laptop's since I haven't had too many issues with Ace Combat 7 videos. For whatever reason in relation to dialogues, this game is a lot more picky and suffers quite a bit with bitrate configurations. I know this due to the editing process for Warwolf 1 vs. Mihaly from last year. This video doesn't contain much dialogue but it is still a nitpicky thing for me to hear those stupid pops during silent moments. Hopefully those can be mediated later since this isn't the last Assault Horizon cinematic I have planned. There's an extensively detailed follow-up cinematic that'll be in the works soon enough.
And with that, I hope you enjoy my little birthday gift back to you.
#acecombat #acecombatassaulthorizonEdge of the Earth | An NFS: Hot Pursuit Remastered CinematicPhantom2024-08-12 | Alongside Ace Combat, there was an another game that I could never put down as a kid. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was a significant pillar of my past racing game experiences and truly fuelled my appreciation for exotic cars. The exhilarating sensation of high speed races and chases, with some of the finest automobiles from the late 20th and 21st century is something that this game promised and delivered. There was no reason to put this game down. From the time I saw the debut trailer and how well 30 Second to Mars' "Edge of the Earth" contributed to the fanboying sensation, I knew I needed to have this game.
Its remaster in 2020 was one of the best things that came out during the pandemic, giving me another reason to pick the controller up again. And as of this year, it turned out that this game was not only a nostalgic experience for me, but @darkdizzy_ as well. Apart from our previous collaborations, we've had and continue to have numerous Hot Pursuit Remastered sessions because it reminds us why we love this game. And so came the inception of this collaborative passion project stitched with the groundbreaking intensity of the title's famous song Edge of the Earth.
As always, I want to thank the finest stuntmen dizzy and @holatontopolla2978 for giving me their time and patience to construct this video. It was an absolute joy to work with such wonderful people.

This is one of my favourite things to do in Ace Combat 7 as seeing custom aircraft in in-game cutscenes is quite satisfying. My next tutorial on Cipher’s NPC swapping guide will bring the custom aircraft from the cutscene into the mission itself. If this is something you’re interested in, be prepared for a LOT of typing.

It features Indian Air Force livery mods for the Su-30SM and the Rafale M. This video was jointly produced with my friends armaan_mki and A.K, as we all share an appreciation for the song. This slightly branches off from my usual string of uploads and collaborations as it pertains heavily to the IAF and the film’s influences.
The video itself does not intend to provoke, instigate, or make reference to any previous India-Pakistan conflicts as the film does. It was purely created with appreciation to the song and some cinematic elements from the film itself.
English subtitles have been created for the song's lyrics to accommodate those who do not understand Hindi.

Nothing else comes close to this one. The foundation for this project came from listening to Blockade and Sentry's Brunt on repeat because it is one of the most unique soundtracks I've heard within the Ace Combat series. That's when I got the idea to make my own remix of Sentry's Brunt, using an alternative version of Blockade that is in the same key as the former. The end result was absolutely glorious and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts in the comments. After the remix process, it was an intense two months of recording content that emulated some AC04 missions. That's why I have to thank my dope stuntman and AC04 advisor (he knows AC04 front to back) @darkdizzy_ for all the extra assistance and as well as creating the Spanish subtitles for this video. Lastly, I would also like to thank @Nassault for creating the Blockade video as it truly served as a pillar of inspiration for the latter half of this video.
Keep in mind that some of the things you see in this video are extraneous and not completely 1:1 as seen in Ace Combat 04. I hope you enjoy the video!

Taking the extra step in recreating the final battle between Mobius 1 and Yellow 13 certainly proved to be another time-consuming process, but still fruitful nonetheless. I don’t think any video that I’ve created in the last two years contains as many radio dialogues as this one does but it all goes toward emulating the 2001 experience. As for the actual fight, I’m not too proud of my own flying seeing as how I don’t really use the F-22A that often in multiplayer. More importantly, there were no maneuverability parts equipped during the fight which must be taken into account.
On another note, credit must be given to my good friend CipherUnknown who is responsible for creating the multiplayer map swap mod. While in the moment, I should also thank RookFox for providing me with the VR Hangar voice lines as that content is certainly beyond my reach. I could not have done any of this without the support of my fellow stuntmen as this process still proved to be fun despite some obvious challenges.

Now, it turns five years old today. It's quite scary to think how close this game was to being cancelled, but Project Aces prevailed and made a triumphant return that truly proved to be remarkable. Ace Combat 7 has succeeded in maintaining the revitalizing and thrilling experience of being a Strangereal ace.
Unlike my usual tradition of creating a fan-made anniversary trailer, I decided to make a cinematic video that encompasses the spirit of Skies Unknown. This is a project that I envisioned for some time but didn't know how to construct it. The video, in its most basic elements, is a cinematic retelling of all twenty campaign missions but unfortunately omits missions part of the SP campaign due to a shortage of time. In addition, I had to rush this video so it could be released today, which is why some mission clips are noticeably shorter than others. This is not as perfect as I envisioned it to be, but I still want to share this with everyone in commemoration of the game's fifth anniversary. I hope you enjoy it!
I also want to thank @Net-Zone for allowing me to use his incredible rendition of Daredevil. Armed Machine was arranged a couple months after the Release Date trailer for Ace Combat 7 was published and for me personally, it is just as good as the original for a fan-made composition. The ending is ethereal. Thank you for making this wonderful soundtrack!

I feel bad that I couldn't throw in some additional characters but I did all I could in such a short time-frame to honour every representation of the F-14 in both Ace Combat and the mentioned films in the best way possible. Instead, it focuses purely on Dr. Schroeder in the Space Elevator cutscene in an attempt to mirror his actions with that of Oppenheimer's. Furthermore, I wish to emphasize how Schroeder's actions and actions taken by Belka and Erusea before and during the Lighthouse War motivate a chain reaction of chaos brought forth by the use of drones and nuclear/laser weaponry in Strangereal as a theme influenced by the film.
