Here is the video on how i did it and some footage of them in action.Super Advantage SNES Controller16bitSprite2016-01-11 | The Most common andofficially licensed arcade controller for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. My first ever 3rd party controller. Cheap feel , mushy buttons, extra mushy d-pad, unresponsive and all over poor build quality.
My least favorite controller so far. Would work ok for slow turn based games, but i cant recommend it for much else unless you like an extra challenge while playing.Hori Multitap SNES / SFC16bitSprite2015-11-24 | 5 player Multitap for the Super Nintendo/Super Famicom
Small, easy interface, my favourite multitap. Only down side would be the cord length although that isnt really an issue as the controller cord should be ample enoughLogic 3 Speed Pad16bitSprite2015-11-15 | Logic 3 Speed Pad
another 3rd party controller for the SNES. Interesting button layout but hardly worth using as the buttons are kinda mushy and the d pad is a bit stiff.Sunsoft Pachinko Controller - SFC SNES16bitSprite2015-10-05 | A rather creepy introduction to how pachinko works: youtube.com/watch?v=i3dffCWd-3E
A Controller Developed by Sunsoft for the Super famicom
Bit of an oddity Very responsive and easy to use. A unique way to play pachinko games on the SFCTurbo Touch 36016bitSprite2015-09-03 | A rather unusual controller for the Super Nintendo.
Surprisingly responsive and does exactly what it claims. Still a bit of a novelty item. May work well for those slower paced games. I wouldn't recomend this for everyday use howeverSuper Nintendo ( SNES ) Controller - BatterUp by Sports Sciences16bitSprite2015-08-15 | A very unique controller by Sports Sciences made for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis \ Mega Drive.
Voted as one of 1994's most innovative products by Popular Science.
Compatible with every game as it doubles as a very basic joypad.

The strange 'S' button at the bottom is a 'programable button for special moves. While you can assign multiple button presses at once to this, I couldn't work out how to assign directional commands to it. Over all this controller works exceptionally well.
I couldn't find much info on this one, so if you know anything about its history, please add it in the comments and I'll add it to the description.Super Nintendo ( SNES ) Controller - Capcom Pad Soldier16bitSprite2015-07-20 | A rather odd looking controller made for the Super Famicom. Made specifically for fighting games, but completely useable for other types. Very comfortable grip easy to use and lightweaight.SNES / Super Famicom one handed controllers: ASCII Grip & ASCII Super L516bitSprite2015-07-10 | ASCII Grip ASCII Super L5
A couple of interesting Japan only released controllers. Great for turn based games on the SNES, Super Famicom. Not so good for fast paced realtime games. Not especially hard to find, but interesting none the less.
Other one handed controllers ASCII made were:
ASCII L5 (famicom\NES) ASCII grip (playstation) ASCII grip (sega saturn) ASCII grip 2 (playstation\playstation 2)Shooter Series the rare SNES Light Gun16bitSprite2015-07-10 | Little known about this light gun other than it was sold in walmarts in Canada near the end of the end of the Super Nintendo's life span. It is an alternative to the more popular Super Scope and is surprisingly accurate. Unlike the Super scope however it isn't wireless, therefore eliminating the need for batteries. It plugs directly into the Player 2 port and doesn't require a sensor to play.
WORKS WITH: Battle Clash Bazooka Blitzkrieg The Hunt for Red October Lamborghini American Challenge Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge Operation Thunderbolt Super Scope 6 T2: The Arcade Game Yoshi's Safari X-Zone
DOES NOT WORK WITH: Tin Star
SORT OF WORKS: Lemmings 2: The Tribes (was a bit temperamental, but so is the superscope)SNES rare controller flight sticks Techno Plus and Quickshot Python 2B16bitSprite2015-06-16 | 2 SNES flight sticks review and comparison
- SNES Quickshot Python 2B - SNES Tecno Plus
From what i could find, these are both third party controllers made by the same company. The python was an earlier model. There was actually a middle ground model made for the PC called the Tecno Plus scorpion that kept the same look and feel of the python but used microswitches.Super Nintendo ( SNES ) and Nintendo ( NES ) Arcade cabinet16bitSprite2015-05-29 | My Super Nintendo and Nintendo arcade cabinet. Took about a year to build in my spare time. Runs on the original hardware and displays on a 20 inch CRT tv so the light guns will work. SNES is running on a SD2SNES. NES is running a Everdrive N8. All original parts are not altered to make with the exception of the SNES itself and the Multitap which I had to remove switches from (this is easily reversible) and 2 PCBs for the arcade controls from 2 original controllers. Sadly this was irreversible :'-( . I tried third party controller PCBs but they would constantly fail. Since using original PCBs I've not had a problem. Apologies for the iPhone vid, I might remake this video with a proper camera if I ever get one and can be bothered.
