It's been a minute since my last video! I've been here...dealing with water, drainage, leaks and more water... Things are moving now so I wanted to jump back in with a shop tour and update. So sorry for the bad videography. I was "selfie" shooting this video with my camera on a monopod. (But I filmed about 500 versions of this video over the last few months so I just decided to go with it. Like ripping off the bandaid - real quick!)Workshop Cleanup - and other stuffSandra Powell aka {Sawdust Girl}2019-08-04 | So this week was productive ...and then not so much. I think the most important thing that came from this week's endeavors is that I am HIRING out: the fixing of the bad construction that is allowing rain to get in, the demolition that needs to happen, and getting the HVAC up and running so I can USE THIS BUILDING AS A WORKSHOP. Woohoo -- I'm really excited about that!Tour of my New WorkshopSandra Powell aka {Sawdust Girl}2019-07-28 | Hi Guys! I'm moved in to my new 3000 sq/ft workshop! Moved in being used lightly -- because my tools and supplies are just stacked in boxes while I clean up the space and make it worthy of entering without wearing a mask. Sorry for the shaky footage. New house tour is on my blog -- sawdustgirl.com/clinton-new-house-tour I'm not doing any projects in the house yet so I'm just focusing on the workshop here on Youtube. Wish me luck. My goal is to have this whole project completed by February 1 2017. I always set unrealistic timelines! But here's hoping! Weekly updates will be provided...even if I have to just throw music in there instead of voicing over what is being accomplished (sometimes). Because I have time management issues with video production...but I'm working on it. Music: http://www.purple-planet.com (ElTorro)

I used a different approach with this one. I actually cut away the drywall and installed brick paneling in the cut-outs. I used common joint compound for the "plaster". 1 because I wanted it to dry slowly so I'd have enough time to form it the way I wanted it. It's an artistic process. Hot mud would have dried too fast and rushed the process. See my blog post for more details: http://sawdustgirl.com/chipped-plaster-brick-wall
