In this video I share the latest upgrades I've made to my @Sovol SV08 MAX and explain why I made each one.

These changes improve cooling, feeder reliability and make printing ABS much easier using a custom enclosure heatup macro.

Can I Trust This SV08 Max After 10,000 KM?

In this SV08 Max unboxing and inspection video, I test whether the Sovol SV08 Max survived a journey of over 10,000 kilometers before its very first print.

This is not a full review. The goal is to inspect, assemble, calibrate and test the printer after traveling from China to Germany, Romania and finally Tenerife.

I Mounted This Completely Wrong… Then Tried To HOME It

• mounted behind the BTT Eddy

• ~7mm farther from nozzle
• not calibrated

Today I finally received the first prototype PCBs for the new CN3D Eddy v1.0 — a custom eddy current probe project we’ve been developing for high-performance 3D printers.

In this video I’m unboxing the boards, showing the details up close and talking a bit about the design direction, compact layout and future plans for the project.

This version communicates over I2C and is designed to work together with CAN toolboards like the EBB series while keeping the setup compact and clean.

I Forgot My Mouse in Romania… So I 3D Printed One

So me and my little assistant went on a mission across the island to find the LAST Bambu mouse PCB available locally… and somehow this turned into one of the most wholesome maker days I’ve had in a while 😄

This project also taught me something VERY important about filament moisture and why a proper filament dryer matters way more than I expected in Tenerife humidity.

What Happens When You Upgrade Your 3D Printer Motor?

Nadir @ CN3D 2025-11-22 | In this video I’m upgrading the XY/AB motors on my BLV MGN Cube CoreXY (with a Voron-style gantry and the Spartacus toolhead).
The motors I had installed were reused from an older printer where they worked as extruders — good, but not ideal for high-speed CoreXY motion.

So today I’m swapping them out for custom-made MOONS Motors specifically designed for better torque, stability and smooth high-speed movement.
I want to test if this upgrade actually brings better acceleration, cleaner walls, less vibration and improved print quality.

Part Cooling Showdown 🔥 SV08 vs SV08 Max/Zero – Stock vs CN3D Upgrade (Anemometer Test)

Even with the same fan, airflow results were very different!

✅ Stock results:

SV08: 6.6–6.7 m/s

SV08 Max / Zero: 7.6–7.7 m/s

Then we swapped only the front shroud/cover with our CN3D upgrade → airflow jumped to 8.0 m/s 🚀
No fan change, no duct change—just our shroud!

Fan Duct Showdown! 9500 vs 12000 RPM – Does RPM Really Boost Airflow?

Nadir @ CN3D 2025-07-30 | I've always wanted to measure how good my cooling ducts actually are—not just guess. So I got myself an anemometer and ran some real tests on my Spartacus toolhead! 📏💨

In this short video, I show the results from different fan + duct setups and how the airflow improved with some simple changes.
