Composed by David Wise. Recreated by me. This was made possible by locating the original instrument samples from workstation keyboards and drum machines before they were put into the game and rebuilding the soundtrack from the ground up, applying some modern mixing techniques along the way to lift the veil of 16bit compression and create an updated listening experience. Part of a project to restore the entire DKC series soundtrack. Follow me on Twitter for more updates: twitter.com/PrinceSamlet Sound sources: Korg Wavestation, Roland R-8, Roland U-220

Many remember Mill Fever from Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES), but some may be surprised to know that it was inspired by Peggy Lee's 'Fever.' The similarities are immediately noticeable. I originally wrote this cover in LittleBigPlanet 2's music maker many years ago. Recently I decided to make a proper cover of it. It was during this time that I met Laur at a show in Brooklyn and heard her stellar Nightbloom album, and it occurred to me, how great it would be to have her sing the melody and lyrics. This is my first time to have a featured guest artist on a song. There will be more to come. Check out Laur's work here: @laurmuses Listen to Nightbloom: laur.bandcamp.com/album/nightbloom
