Hunger Games | Timber BottledMichelle 2014-01-19 | I really wanted to study the difference between the capitol and the districts. Timber is such a shallow song that when I first heard it I was like this would go great with the capitol... but I was lyk why yo? Then I realized this could totally be any ones POV. I think it's very easy to see where the subjects switch. If not, the first half of the song is the capitol while the second half is the districts. I very carefully did NOT use any footage in the capitol's POV that did not take place in the public eye. While the districts I tried to show more emotional scenes or scenes that show just how dire their situation is. These children are literally fighting to the death and are surrounded by a culture that embraces it. (talk about culture difference, aye?) I purposefully didn't overload effects because it is a song that could easily be ripped by them. I hope you enjoy it!!! I certainly enjoyed making it. For example, we get hung up on the "could have" like Cook/Naomi: but we never take in the sheer terror we all feel at times. Terror is something beautiful, because it lets us feel and connect to one another. One thing that connects every skins character, and people in general, is that they are afraid to confront their problems. None of us can say that we take our problems and head butt them in the face. :) We don't, instead, we dawdle or get hung up on petty things and loose our appreciation for the common rarities.
