Your Life Matters - A Parkour & Free-Running Story Mach Movement 2020-08-16 | This sport has been one of the biggest battles in my entire life. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve come close to quitting and giving up on this dream of becoming a professional, influential athlete in this sport. Everytime I hit one of these lows, I always had somebody to pull me out of it, and remind me that I’m capable of becoming something greater. Whether it was in this sport or as a person, he always pushed me beyond what I thought was possible. Earlier this year, Jonah Staebell passed away … but that doesn’t mean that what he stood for is gone. He always stood for the concept that “your life matters” regardless of who you are, your past, or where you come from. Everybody’s lives matter, and that’s a message I believe people need to hear. One of our last conversations a few days prior to his passing was him telling me I needed to keep pushing for this dream. To keep training, progressing, and developing as an athlete and individual. I’ve been officially training for 5 years now, and I took months to create this video. I pushed myself to the maximum in attempts at becoming what he believed I could. I know I’m not there yet, but I’m well on my way, and I’m not stopping anytime soon. This one is for Jonah, to honor him and make him proud.This project would have not been possible without the help of countless people.
