Bottom Kek 2021-08-31 | holy shit this song has my adrenaline pumping in more ways then one.this one was a doozy to create. i've been kinda overworked with college starting this last week and i've had FOUR WHOLE PROJECTS in the FIRST WEEK (im going to die here). anyways the song. i tried so hard to make something out of nothing just so i could have *something* to submit for this contest and i was just gonna submit something i didn't like. about 6 hours before the deadline though, i realized one element of the original song was really interesting and i could design a whole song around itthree fervent hours of creating later and out comes this song. i had to skimp out a bit on mixing in my opinion but i feel this song is overall solid. i enjoy the bass and synth heavy style (even though i have no idea what subgenre it is lol) and im gonna *try* to post more, but with college happening im not sure how much free time i'll have.anyways im excited to submit this for the 2021 NGUAC Knockout Round!!thanks for listening!!
Bottom Kek- Race To Vega Bottom Kek 2021-08-09 | so yeah... sorry for the long wait. i've been extremely busy this summer with the move to college coming up, working everyday, and a bunch of other shit like getting a new computer and trying to focus on a game project, etc. i've been sitting on this song for like three months, basically since my last song came out. in that time, i was working on it on and off not really going anywhere until recently. i never felt like it was up to quality standard for my music until now.now i actually like where this song went. the whole project originally started as a test to try and improve the drums in my music that became sort of a spacey mix. i like it but i definitely think its a big messy.other than that, NGUAC is coming up and i've been invited again. last year's entry was DeFuse. this year it's a tossup between this one and Blitz, but i'm leaning Blitz as i think its mixing is overall cleaner while being a bit less compositionally complex. i'll mull the decision over though as i've got another week or so to decide. if you have an opinion on which one i should send, let me know!!anyways, thanks for listening and thanks for sticking with me through this hiatus!!

Bottom Kek- Lazarus Bottom Kek 2020-12-12 | so this took a lot longer than expected. normally if i wanted to make a song, i'd end up making it all in one day, but this one took over a week of trying and retrying ideas to see what stuck. each individual part i had to rewrite 2-3 times.Tempo: 165 (3/4) - 172 (4/4)Keys: Eb Major - E minori pulled inspiration from all over for this one. the main structure of the piece was inspired by Dark Matter Suite (ft. LOrbSheddy) by 1nf1n1ty. everything from the changing tempo, key, time signature to the changing tone has its roots in this song. the intro's melody (and also the melody during the second half of the drop) is heavily inspired by The Undertakers Daughter instrumental by steampianist. finally the counter-melody in the intro is taken from the irish folk song Star of the County Down.all in all i'm very happy with this piece. obviously it's not as good as any of the songs i took inspiration from, but it really doesn't have to be. i feel other than some mixing, this song couldn't be improved that muchthanks for listening!!

Bottom Kek- Gourmet Race Remix Bottom Kek 2020-08-24 | well this is a new type of song for me. this is the first time ive sampled drums from anywhere (i normally use the terrible garageband drums). I hope some of these drum samples can liven up my future pieces.anyways, i bet all 2 of you reading this are wondering why i took so long to make this not even 2 minute long song. well i have no idea. ive been trying to make songs for the past 2 weeks but nothing came of it, until i listened to gourmet race again and decided to remix it.i also tried a different mixing method for this song. normally i'd mix the piece as i go, but instead i got all the basics down and then mixed it last. this imo made the whole process a lot easier.my final statement is that i might get FL Studio soon, which should boost my creative potential massively due to not being stuck on garageband. that would also require me to learn FL Studio so if i do, there might be another breakthanks for listening!!(also subscribe)
Bottom Kek- Rainfall Tokyo Bottom Kek 2020-08-10 | welp... another round of creative block happened and this is the first song i've made in like 3 weeks. sorry for the long wait and i hope that this song is worth the wait for like the four of you who're reading this.as for the actual song, i've been sitting on this melody for like a week and a half. this song originally was supposed to be a boss theme for a game, then it morphed into an EDM song which probably didn't fit the melody, and finally i changed it to a more chill song with a lot of eastern elements that you can just play in the background. it definitely was inspired by LoFi but that's not what i would consider it.i decided to take my time on this one for a couple of reasons: one, i couldn't decide the genre. two, some parts had to be reworked multiple times until it sounded good. and three, i kept falling asleep while trying to work on it at 2 AM.anyways, thanks for reading my ramblings and also thanks for watching!!
