This is Peru!?! First Impressions of Lima madventure 2025-08-09 | Explore Peru's vibrant culture with us, in the bustling streets of Lima! From historic Plaza Mayor to the flavors of El Chinito we're seeing the city's greatest sights, experiencing the passion of the locals, and discovering the national cocktail at Hotel Bolivar and the Museo del Pisco! After the changing of the guard at the Government Palace, we begin the day in Plaza Mayor where we take in the Lima Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace, and so much stunning architecture. Next we visit the Basilica and Covenant of Santo Domingo and Casa de Osambela when we hear a parade! We still have no idea what the parade was for, but it was so fun to see the vibrant colors, music and dances. Next we try chicharron sandwiches at El Chinito, visit the Basilica and Convent of San Fransisco, and take in the incredible views at Muninet Parque La Muralla. The next stop is shopping at Mercado Central and Chinatown, visiting Church of La Merced and Jiron de la Union, and sipping pisco sours at Gran HOtel Bolivar off of San Martin Square. We finish the night back in Plaza Mayor, enjoying the city lights, and sipping unique pisco drinks at Museo del Pisco. After exploring more of the city we head to El Bar Federal, a historic bar that has been around since 1864 where we have a delicious lemonade, alfajores, medialuna, cafe con leche, malbec and a negroni! afterward it is time for Argentina's famous steak at Parrilla La Brigada! We ordered lomo aka tenderloin, and it was so tender they cut it with a spoon!!! Argentina's beef is famous for a reason. Our last stop is El Gauchito for some life changing empanadas!!! What if you DONT See the Northern Lights in Tromsø?!? madventure 2024-12-21 | Explore Tromsø's hidden gems in this video! From the Arctic Cathedral to Polar Museet, discover what makes Tromsø amazing beyond the Northern Lights. Join us as we visit the Arctic Alpine Botanic Garden, Moxy Tromsø, and Olhallen Tromsø for an unforgettable experience in this Arctic city!In this video we fly to Tromso for what is forecasted to be a pretty rainy week. We stay at the Moxy hotel where there is a great coworking space, views, games, a bar, and an observation deck where you can watch airplanes. The perfect place to stay on a rainy day and still appreciate the views! BUT the other rainy day activities are even more fun. Take a bus into town (we got the week long bus pass and if you stay at Moxy this is definitely the way to go, there are multiple stops right by the hotel) and visit the Polar Museet, or Polar Museum to learn the history of the town and the arctic explorations that have taken place here. Head to Olhallen for some of Mack's Beer (the northernmost brewery in the world) brewed with Arctic water! (You can even take a tour, but they don't offer them on Sundays which is when we visited). Grab salmon sushi at Asian House (got to enjoy as much of the incredible fresh salmon as we can afford while we're here).Then head to Sauna Pust Tromso for some sauna and arctic polar plunge. (Make reservations in advance online). The next day it is FINALLY SUNNY we head to the Arctic Alpine Botanic Garden and take in the incredible, resilient plants. Absolutely incredible to enjoy the beauty of science! Next we head into Downtown and see the Tromso Cathedral, the Northernmost Cathedral in the WORLD! WE grab some street food at Raketten Bar & Polse, a delicious hotdog stand with REINDEER hotdogs!!! Fuled up for a long walk, we head across Tromso Bridge to the Arctic Cathedral and then up the mountain on the Sherpatrappa steps to Fjellstua Cafe Og Restaurant where we hope to see the northern lights in the next video! The REAL Magic of Austria (Hallstatt, Bad Ischl & More) 🇦🇹 madventure 2024-11-17 | Experience the real magic of Austria in this video showcasing Hallstatt, Bad Ischl, and more in Upper Austria. From the world's oldest salt mine to the hauntingly beautiful charnel house in Hallstatt, this video will take you on a journey through the stunning landscapes and rich history of this picturesque region. Don't miss out on exploring Upper Austria!We take the train from Vienna to Upper Austria to adventure with out friend! The first stop in Ebensee where we dine at Hotel Post, a restaurant from the 1500s (that serves a mean cordon bleu), take an easy hike enjoying the stunning mountain and lake views, enjoy the stunning cafe views at Café Johannsberg, and visit Maria Kronung Catholic Church. The next day we step back into Imperial history exploring Bad Ischl, Europe's Capital of Culture for 2024! We begin with a "medical treatment" dipping our feet and arms in a cold bath to get our circulation going. Next we head to Kaiservilla, the Emperor's Summer Palace where Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Sisi actually met and got engaged! In true imperial fashion, we also visit one of their favorite bakeries (if it has K.U.K on it it means it was a supplier for the imperial court). We enjoy sweets and views at Cafe Zauner to finish our time in Bad Ischl! Finally, the most touristy of them all, Hallstatt. We take the train to a ferry and ferry across the lake to the beautiful village of Hallstatt (rumored to have been the inspiration behind Arendelle in Disney's Frozen). It is raining hard, so we head deep inside first by visiting the oldest salt mine in the world (over 7000 years old) Salzwelten Hallstatt. We take the funicular, tour the mine, slide down wooden slides, see the world's oldest wooden staircase (and other super well preserved artifacts (thanks salt)). We take a mine train and enjoy multi-media light shows giving us the history of the mine! Next we enjoy the Unesco Sky walk with its stunning overhead views of the town! Last we head back down, taking in as much of the fairy-tale magic as possible, and visit St. Michael's Chapel. Here we learn about the "bone house" or charnel house and see the stunning painted skulls. It kind of reminds me of our experience at Dia De Muertos in Mexico City, it is so cool to see the deceased being so cared for and respected. We take the ferry back to the train and take in our final views of the city as the sun sets. We are so thankful for our incredible time in stunning Upper Austria! The ULTIMATE Layover in Abu Dhabi madventure 2024-11-02 | Experience the ultimate layover in Abu Dhabi with a visit to the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and a taste of Michelin Bib Gourmand cuisine. This Abu Dhabi vlog will show you the best of what the city has to offer during a short stay!After landing super early in the morning, we head to Michelin Bib rated Al Mrzab Traditional Restaurant for some delicious tea and traditional Emirati breakfast, balaleet! Next we head to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the most stunning buildings in the world! The entrance is through an underground mall where we buy an abaya for around $14 to cover my head and ankles for the mosque visit! The mosque is breathtaking and we actually took two free tours to take in the gorgeous chandeliers and walk on the world's largest handmade rug. Next we visit Qasr al Watan, the presidential palace to take in the incredible architecture and design! Meylas Emirati Restaurant is our final food stop for some more Michelin recognized local goodness, including finally trying emirati dates, Machboos, and laban maleh!Our final stop is Yas Mall on Yas Island! We see Ferrari World, Warner Brothers World, and the Formula 1 Circuit on the drive over. Back at the airport we enjoy a shower, snacks and a nap in the lounge after an exhausting day. THIS is Korea!?! First Impressions of Seoul (한국어 자막)🇰🇷 madventure 2024-09-07 | Join us as we explore Seoul for the first time and share our first impressions of this vibrant city! From historic Gwanghwamun Square to Jogyesa Temple to trendy Hongdae this Seoul vlog captures the essence of Korea. Plus, we tried on a traditional hanboks and visited Cheong Wa Dae - the Blue House! Welcome to Seoul, South Korea! We're spending a couple of months exploring this amazing country and we're already in love with all this place has to offer! From delicious food, to rich culture and traditions, this place has it all. The Seoul we're experiencing might not be the one you expected to see in our video today. This country is surprising in all the best ways and we can't wait to share more South Korea content with you in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!Seoul is such a beautiful city of contrasts! Modern skyscrapers, historic palaces, stunning mountains, and INCREDIBLE food!!! We start the day in Gwanghwamun Square, rent traditional hanboks in Hanboknam Gyeongbokgun to visit Gyeongbokgung Palace (where you get free admission if you're wearing hanbok). For food we head to Michelin Bib rated Hwangsaengga Kalguksu for scrumptious mandu an kongguksu summer soy bean soup. We see the Blue House Cheong Wa Dae, former presidential palaces, Bukchon Hanok Village, Jogyesa Temple, and drink traditional Korean tea at Namusae Tea House. After spending the day on the historic side of Seoul, we head to Hongdae for the trendy, young side of Seoul where we enjoy K-pop song and dance performances, eat Korean BBQ at Saemaul and karaoke in a private room at SU Noraebang.
