I wanna talk about another movie(and a mini docu series on Netflix): Better Man, a Robbie Williams biopic...so, I watched it back in January with my friend, it was one of those movies that I planned on watching, I saw the trailer back in early December(or was it late November?) when I went to watch Wicked(and btw another movie I highly recommend), and I remember going "well I gotta watch that", the moment I saw he's a monkey and also who directed it(listen, The Greatest Showman is still one of my favourite musicals) I was sold. And oh boy, was the movie fantastic! Like, the directing, the acting, the way everything looked, the musical numbers, everything was excellent, I was floored. And like, I knew nothing about Robbie going in, I didn't even know he started off as a teen in a boy band, so I was also quite invested in that aspect...I loved how the movie portrayed his mental health issues, and his struggles with, pretty much everything. I highly recommend that movie. After watching it, I also ended up watching his mini docu series on Netflix from 2023, and _damn_ , the biopic only showed a fraction(understandably, it was only 2 and half hours, as opposed to 4 episodes of about 50 minutes each), like jesus... the press, the paparazzi, the media were relentless, and cruel, no wonder he struggled...honestly both the biopic and the documentary further enforced my belief that kids shouldn't be famous, cause like, adults going in are aware of what they're getting into(regardless of how fame ends up affecting them), but kids don't...they just dream of fame, they think it's a great thing...and it was honestly quite sad to watch Robbie go from this wide, bright eyed 16 year old to someone who just doesn't care anymore...there were two clips though, from the documentary that stuck with me: one where he's like talking about how not well he is in some pre show interview and then stops himself and is all "no, yeah I'm so excited for this show" and it's just sad...people really didn't think much of mental health back then, and another one from before his concert in UK Leeds back in 2006, he had a massive panic attack all through out and like, how he managed to pull it off is still beyond me, anyway, the documentary showed nearly 4 hours of behind the scenes footage over the course of 30 years, and it really showed quite well how fame can damage a person, especially a child star(which is what he basically was, having started as a 16 year old kid), and the role the media plays in that damage...they always pick who they think is the weakest as their victim and then they make them the bad guy in the public's eye, often it's female stars, but sometimes they pick a male one...anyways, I do recommend the documentary as well, it's simply titled Robbie Williams...so yeah, back to Better Man, if you haven't watched it, do it, it's really great.off topic done~]Disclaimer: Fair Use - Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. You see, for the past 6 months my editing process has changed a bit, so like in the past with a few exceptions I'd edit in order, but now I edit way out of order-like for example the first thing I edited was the first chorus or well parts of the first chorus before I switched elsewhere in the song, and so as a result there would end up a lot of layers. Listen, Roschel, I don't care I love them, their dynamic is so much fun, and quite frankly, after their 2nd break up, they're quite rock solid in their friendship, and while I think the writers should've got them back together after they had Emma, at the same time, they still continued being close friends; I just love them. Harvey and Sabrina are one of my childhood otps, I just love them so damn much, and I was rooting for them to be end game, glad we got that in the end. And now, Dharma and Greg, pure relationship goals! Their relationship is so damn precious, and I love how from day 1 they are rock solid and at no point does one wonder if they're gonna make it, like you just _know_ that they always will, no matter what life throws at them, they always in the end come through. And like sure, they had their arguments, even a tiny break up arc, but in the end their love always won; I absolutely adore how they bring out the best in eachother, and how much they grew together over the course of the show. Seriously, I highly recommend the show, full stop. If anything, I'm happy with my beats matching; and all the characters chosen, plus lyric matching.Let me tell you, picking characters for this was _not_ easy! But lemme start from the beginning: so, this is me extending my part for PHS mep wherein the theme were side characters, and I'd chose Luna Lovegood after much thought; and from the start I knew I was gonna extend my part, only there was no way I'd stick to just side characters, so instead I turned it into any character I could think of. Now that was not an easy task, though from start I knew I wanted one of the characters to be Aragorn cause he's awesome, the rest though, it took me some time, which is why this actually took so long.I just couldn't decide on all the characters and so I'd work on this on and off whenever I'd come up with a character or in the case of few parts _characters_ . And I must say that I'm quite happy with the characters I'd have chosen, and especially all the badass ladies in this; seriously, they're all the best.So all in all, despite not being 100% happy, I still consider this video to be a success. Starting with the first song -The Girl Who Has Everything, and then there's Nothing Left To Lose, two fantastic songs - and then there are all the Raps and Eugene scenes, they're just _perfect_ . And then there's that 2nd scene(from episode 4 in season 3) I'd mentioned, and the main reason I'd included it is purely for the lovesick look on Eugene's face as he's looking at Raps, ahhhh my *heart* ! I _adore_ the way they're constantly looking at one another, it's precious♥. I've said it once, and I'll say it again, I want what they have♥.Alsooo, I'd rewatched the movie in my language, and *ohmygod* , it's so *good* ; I love the cast, I love our versions of the songs, AND btw, I See The Light is called Now That You're Here in our dub, and man it so fits! Also, I love how, even though the humour is obviously slightly different as of course not everything can be translated word for word, like the translation just _has_ to adapt a bit, BUT it works. You know, the humour in English is right up my alley, but so are all the jokes that they had to change for the dub as well; I was in tears half the movie. They're just too pure for this world.♥So, instead of using movie voice-overs for this, I decided to use audio books, and you can thank my friend Fra for that, cause many months ago during one of my fangirl moments I'd mentioned how I'd love to edit these two in the future and how I wish that the movies did their friendship justice and she'd suggested that maybe I use audio books along side the clips; and I did just that. I did want to use so many more, but my brain was blanking, like I couldn't remember some of my favourite moments, or rather I remembered but couldn't place them in which book it happened lolBut hey! I did use my all time favourite, so it's all good.(try and guess which one's that is)Side note; the only movie that I personally think did their friendship justice was OotP; and the simple reason is that that was the only movie in the series not written by Kloves, hell the dude that wrote it did the opposite of what Kloves loved doing; which is: he, as in dude that wrote OotP script, actually gave some lines that belonged to other(minor really) characters and gave them to Ron. Like for example that line about Harry fighting off a hundred Dementors was someone else's line(I'm talking of the scene at The Hog's Head); Kloves loved doing the opposite, and as a result Ron's character was...well...ruined. So yeah, OotP is the only one that did Ron, and his friendship with Harry justice. Well alright, PS and CoS also handled their friendship quite well, but onwards...Also I'm still bitter about The Silver Doe chapter in DH movie, that's my favourite chapter and the movie ruined it...damn you Yates and Kloves. And the annoying part is that there are actually some deleted scenes that *did* do justice to them, but the filmmakers decided to cut them. Oh well...next year I believe the Max series are set to start so hopefully then we'll be getting a proper adaptation and a proper portrayal or Harry and Ron's friendship. I've got high hopes.Anyway, I am very happy with this, and it most definitely won't be my last edit with them; and especially cause I'm rereading the books, which is actually the reason I got inspired to edit this is the first place. Now I wanna ask you all, so I practiced my hard cuts in this(Lena once said I'm really good at them, but I still have yet to master them), so my question is, can you spot all of them, or just one or few? But I was so certain that we'd get at least one more gen with these two, y'know...but hey, that doesn't mean we won't see them again; like, here's the thing, even though Satoshi&Pikachu won't be the protagonists anymore, and call it a hunch or a gut feeling or whatever, but I don't think they'll stop writing them...This Friday's episode makes me think we may see more of them in the future in specials and ova's, I mean why else make such a random special set in the au, y'know? Of course, I also believe they may have the two of them appear eventually in the new series as supporting characters as now that their story within the main narrative is over the writers can do whatever with them as they're no longer held back by Satoshi's goal, that makes sense?Either way, it's those thoughts that make it easier to accept pokeani ending Satoshi and Pikachu's story, and hey who knows what the future holds, so for now let's just enjoy the fact that we'll still get to spend time with them for few more months. :3Anyways, this is a quick little video I did in like 2 hours, I'd wanted to edit this song for quite some time now, and today I got inspiration to do so, and I do like it; eventually though I'mma also edit their song from the Japanese version of the movie cause it's such a beautiful song and I wanna edit more of Satoshi&Pikachu's songs from the anime, I really do like all of their songs, they're always so soft and sweet, just like them :3So yeah, hope you guys like it! Also, also, I loooooooove Satoshi's laugh, so damn cute! Again.
