Friend of mine asked me to repeat this handle work again as a gift for his son. Did some search in my garage and found an old Puronvarsi blade blank and here we are. Finishing this kind of handle needs some taping. On the other hand you need to oil and grease leather parts and oak needs only good Tru Oil finish. Finally good polish for the brass parts. Quite different compared to regular one material knife handle. 90mm blade / total of 210mm length for the puukko. Osmo

The blade 120mm-5” is called bullnose and use of it is for hunting and dealing with the game. Curved lines of the blade made me think how to shape the handle. Time to show how they matched. Mammoth tusk is very hard material to drill and sand. It’s also quite heavy. Finally it polishes extreme way as you may notice.
