1:16 Menu version (mostly kick and bass only)
1:42 Title version (rhythm only)
Composers: Agent Track, fusoxide
Arranger: fusoxide
Year: 2022
A game jam OST that I composed in 2022! Being a retro-styled shmup game, I felt it was appropriate to compose upbeat, retro-style wavetable chiptune. Another person, Agent Track, also composed a few tracks. I arranged them into the chiptune style used in my own tracks, giving the OST some consistency.

Game: Hanjuku Hero 4: Shichinin no Hanjuku Hero
Composer: Naoshi Mizuta [SQUARE ENIX]
Year: 2005
Commentary: This has a strong 90s Capcom arcade fighting game vibe. Considering Mizuta worked at Capcom, I wonder if this was intentional.

Year: 2002
Game: Shuuchuu Chiryoushitsu
Presumed composer: Ayako Saso [SuperSweep]
Year: 2002
Commentary: A dark, tense electronic track.
Product: Setsu-Getsu-Ka 3
Composer: Tetsuya Uchida [NBGI]
Year: 2006
Commentary: A quirky fun track from Namco's photo booth Setsu-Getsu-Ka 3. It received a digital OST in 2013, 7 years after it was launched. I'm glad it did for sure, as it's very unlikely someone will dump the ROMs from these booths anytime soon.
This track noticeably shares several elements with Yukari Tamura's "Tenshi no Oshigoto" (youtube.com/watch?v=rVY5fUmz95U), which Uchida also composed (under the alias tetsu-yeah, due to working at Namco at the time); the single it appeared on only came out 2 months after this photo booth.

Game: Kumatanchi
Composer: Kimihiro Abe [Basiscape]
Year: 2008
Commentary: This is the version from the OST released in 2009. The in-game version is sequenced. Like a lot of Abe's tracks, it starts off fairly conventional before throwing in unexpected chord changes.

Game: The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road
Composer: Hitoshi Sakimoto [Basiscape]

Year: 2005
Commentary: Another dark, intense digital rock track.
Game: Bleach: Heat the Soul 2
Presumed composer: Hitoshi Sakimoto [Basiscape]
Year: 2005
Commentary: Edgy intense breakbeat. Reminds me of Sakimoto's work on Terra Diver and Tekken Advance. He's mostly known for his orchestral scores, but his electronic stuff is impressive too.
Game: Pro Fishing Challenge
Composer: Mitsuhiro Kaneda [OPUS]
Year: 2004
Commentary: Not sure where this is used in-game, if at all. It's a very lovely mellow piece.
Game: Pro Fishing Challenge
Composer: Mitsuhiro Kaneda [OPUS]
Year: 2004
Commentary: Most likely an unused leftover from Fishing Live Online (a cancelled MMO fishing game from 2002) based on its position in the XWB file.
Game: Pro Fishing Challenge
Composer: Mitsuhiro Kaneda [OPUS]
Year: 2004
Game: Pro Fishing Challenge

Year: 2006
Game: Bleach: Heat the Soul 4
Presumed composer: Noriyuki Kamikura [Basiscape]

Commentary: Love when Kaneda does this weird electronic jazzy funk.
Game: Bleach: Heat the Soul 4

Commentary: Mellow and jazzy! The melodies and structuring feels very Namiki.
Game: Ide Yousuke Meijin no Shin Jissen Mahjong
Presumed composer: Shusaku Uchiyama [Capcom]
Year: 1996
Commentary: A dark techno tune. Out of the four credited composers (the other four sound staff are sound designers; Uchiyama is likely the person credited as "Toridon Ucchi"), this sounds most likely to be Uchiyama's work, it reminds me of some tracks from Mega Man 8. I think this is used during gameplay, but I'm not sure of the exact context.
*A gamerip has 3-4 letter titles for each track. Maybe the game has a sound test with these short titles? Not sure.
Game: Ide Yousuke Meijin no Shin Jissen Mahjong
Presumed composer: Shusaku Uchiyama [Capcom]
Year: 1996
Commentary: A fun Detroit techno-ey tune. Out of the four credited composers (the other four sound staff are sound designers; Uchiyama is likely the person credited as "Toridon Ucchi"), this sounds most likely to be Uchiyama's work. His style is often quite Detroit techno-influenced, e.g Mega Man 8 and P.N.03. Not sure where this plays in-game, but I'd guess for some cutscene.

Game: Accel Knights: Imashi ga Tame Ware wa Tsurugi o Toru
Composer: Noriyuki Kamikura [Basiscape]
Manipulator: Masaaki Kaneko [Basiscape]
Year: 2010
Commentary: Kamikura is always great at writing cheesy yet hard-hitting rock bangers.
Album: ZeroRanger Arranged Album -GREEN ARRANGE-
Composer: eebrozgi
Arranger: fusoxide [Technomarina]
Label: Resonant Union
Year: 2024
Commentary: This is my arrange of "BOSSAY" from ZeroRanger! I went for a retro-yet-modern Detroit techno feel for the bulk of the track, but also included some fun shifts to trap and breakbeat/EDM. It was hard work - but I'm proud of the results!
You can buy the full album on Bandcamp - there's so many bangers: resonantunion.bandcamp.com/album/zeroranger-arranged-album-green-arrange

Game: Tekken Advance
Presumed composer: Hitoshi Sakimoto
Year: 2001
Commentary: One of the six new compositions to this game. I strongly suspect that Sakimoto composed all of the new tracks, while Atsuhiro Motoyama most likely did the GBA versions of tracks from Tekken 3 as well as SFX. While it is confirmed that Sakimoto only composed for the game and didn't arrange/manipulate older material, it is not confirmed that Motoyama didn't compose anything either - both of them are hard to contact to verify.

Game: Caladrius Blaze
Composer: Yoshimi Kudo [Basiscape]
Year: 2014
Commentary: Pretty sure this track is new to the Blaze version, which came out a year after the original.
Game: To LOVE-Ru: Wakuwaku! Rinkai Gakkou-hen
Composer: Hiroyuki Iwatsuki [Natsume]
Year: 2008
Commentary: Some retro-styled shmup music that makes heavy use of the Nintendo DS PSG. This is the boss theme for the Magical Kyouko shmup minigame.
