I can only guesstimate the speed of the material traveling away from the sun, but I would think it's greater than 10,000mph for such a large amount of movement in a half-hour.

We actually straddled him with the RAV and stopped and escorted him safely off the road. Was probably eaten by a hawk five minutes after we left as he liked to pick a fight.

This was one of the better outings to Farmington Bay with several bird species being seen and heard. The roads were a glaze of ice, but you wanted to drive slow and stop a lot to see everthing. Most of this was shot through a Vortex spotting scope with a Canon 110 HS camera.

Photos are from in and around Sandy, Lehi and Saratoga Springs, UT.Some tech specs for the geeks out there:Multitrack recording and serious pitch correction for my trombone playing was done with Logic Express on the Mac. Added a low-pass filter and reverb to cover even more of my out of practice performance.The ending animation was done with the 3D features in Photoshop.Editing and Ken Burn's effects were done in Sony Vegas. I need to get back into Adobe Premiere one of these days.Enjoy!
