Designed to be an easy and realistic cave base that doesn't cost a million HQM.

UPDATE: Facepunch may have PATCHED vertical pixel gaps (though I am still testing it). If there isn't a work around for cavebases, note that the CEILING PIXEL GAPS will all still work just fine ;).

It uses entrance seal bunkers on both sides as well as an array of pixel bunker and loot vault options for a quick and easy fairly base that is cheap enough to rust base to build for a solo that you won't spend all day farming or defending.

My thoughts:
With over 180 plugins and a very detailed custom map full of nooks and crannies, gather rate starts at 0.5x and you are a naked peasant who can only build a shack. You can work your way up the ranks of nobility and level up through several expansive skill trees and allocate stat points to suit your particular play style.

→ Custom 4,500 map, designed with the medieval era in mind.
→ 0.5x modified gather rate with multiple ways to greatly increase it.
→ Clan/team size set to 15, with the possibility of up to 3 alliances.

Easy 1x1 ROOF Bunker - Quick and Easy Rust Solo Base - Conditional Roofs

Note on build versions with *TWIG* that opens/closes the bunker:

The twig would go above where the inner garage door is placed, but then only opens from the outside, so there isn't a secure bunker spawn (but more storage) so I consider it a different type of base.
OR
The inner airlock garage door is sacrificed, replaced with a stone halfwall above and basically everything is a bunker except the first triangle. An option if you want HQM (so you don't need to destroy a roof piece) OR if you add an add'l triangle airlock.

Splash Test of Rust Vending Machine Bunker | EcoRaid Resist | No Foundation Mod of Gamelightz Bunker

Rust Base Core Bunker | Eco-raid-proof Vending Machine | No HQM Square | Shelf Tip | Lower Upkeep

Geezer 2022-08-26 | TC Bunker will NOT break open when foundation outside (underneath) *vending machine* is destroyed by raiders. Perfect for the core of your base.

I use this bunker often to protect the TC and key loot and it can easily be added to a single doorway after a build with no BPs, needing just some HQM and gears.

Do not need to upgrade foundation outside bunker to metal/HQM when updgrading TC or vending loot bunker to protect it from eco-raiders.

(PATCHED) How to build a Compact Rust Solo Base with No HQM - Double Bunker - Cheap - My Design

Geezer 2022-08-15 | Lite version of my Neptune solo base with no HQM used and full airlock with dropboxes.

I am using this base now in my mid Aug (weekly vanilla solo server) wipe. Small Island with some interesting moments already ;). Hopefully, a gameplay vid will follow after the wipe.

Note 1: upgrade floor under vending machine to metal, too.

Note 2: If you plan to honeycomb more, I'd place the foundations on the side of the square bunker foundation before placing the first roof piece, just to make sure it doesn't get blocked on one side.

Rust Solo Starter | Two Buildings Connected Through Rock to ONE TC | Base Building | Is It Useless?

Instead of making the " No BP deconstructed solo starter bunker" into the rock, we extend the rock concept into two apparently separate buildings.

Might help reduce splashable sections of your base, or up the rocket raid cost...

This Rust Bunker Is Insanely Safe! | *34 Rocket* Base | Double Bunker 2022 | Easy Build

Not sure where a build stops being a starter, so I added a question mark ;). Obviously, some sort of massive big compound would be the 'toughest' solo base overall.

I would probably only use this design on a weekly or if I had great recycler access due to the HQM upkeep.

*UPKEEP*
~1600 Stone
~165 Metal
~80 HQM

You could change a few things. You could metal the exterior or even add a layer of stone onto that, although I think it would be too much farming for a solo. I did three similar versions of this with slightly different upkeep today.

The base could be a duo base athough fitting two bags in the outer core would require changes, like removing the furnace or the shelf.

The Jack | Stealth Triangle Bunker | Rust Solo Base | Pixel Loot | Separate Spawn Stability Bunker

Features:

4 triangle starter with low foundation stability bunker at half height WITH sleeping bag and mini loot room.

Q: Why is it stealth?
A: The bunker is halfwall height. Few will expect a spawn point underneath.

Ready for pixel loot room on ceiling

Plenty of garage door slots

Easy first layer of honeycomb.

*NEXT UPGRADE* recommended: make an extra door path (+ 1 garage door) added to the empty triangle foundation at the front door ( OR JUMP UP TO ROOF ;). This makes the stone honeycomb more worth it. You may want to check where you can place triangle foundations early on when building if you only build back the twig once so you know where the couple of spots you can't place a triangle will be.

Stone: ~1600
Metal: ~700
Wood: 30

*NOTES*:
*HONEYCOMB*:
Try to do it at the same time as the pixel loot room on top or if you use 2 full height walls, you may have trouble placing a couple of the ceiling triangles on the honeycomb. A) go half height lower or B) place/ replace pixel loot room side walls last and everything will seal.

*SIDE PIXEL LOOT*:
if you want SIDE pixel loot room, it is best to do a two step twig build back so that you have all foundations available (even if you don't place the bunker one), just keep one foundation gapped square for any honeycomb that would be blocked otherwise.

Plan ahead: don't block your side vertical pixel gaps with wall frames for garage doors where you want to eventually build a pixel loot room on the outside of that wall.

How to Prevent Bunker Not Sealing/ Resealing | Rust Low Foundation Stability Bunker Build | Snap Fix

Geezer 2022-07-26 | Most common reason bunker won't seal or reseal:

Halfwall was placed snapped to bunker triangle foundation
AND/ OR
Base foundation(s) build off bunker triangle foundation.

If you place halfwall and seal correctly, then REPLACE a foundation (or just have none connected) building off the bunker foundation your will NOT be able to reseal it.

NOTE:
the bunker foundation is the least important piece of the build and is mainly for non-honeycombed micro-bases, or to have something to connect to later on the outside. It could absolutely be omitted if the empty foundation space is okay for your design, thereby eliminating some of these types of snapping errors and also saving you one twig build-back initially, so long as you can maintain stability of the bunker while building.
